The F.O.D.S.
Azure's POV
After a while Petra, and fallen asleep, and by then it was time for me to go. I'd already said goodbye to her and packed what we would need for the trip. I filed my own canteen and headed out. I did not tell Noah that I knew, part of me was a little hurt that he did not even tell me he was planning to propose to my best friend. I tried to talk to Bow as much as I could, but Noah seemed like he needed a friend. The first half of the journey was only a day or so long, and we spent the night in the woods. "First Ones? Did they find any tech?" He asked giddily, and I nodded.
"Yeah, only a few pieces each year, and sometimes nothing would come up at all, right now we're probably standing over a part of the mines." Bow stopped, and gasped, looking reverently at the ground beneath his feet.
Before I knew it Bow was at the top of the hill, jumping up, and down.
"So cool!" He squealed. Hurrying to the top I looked over the dig sight.
It was very abandoned looking. It was a large black structure which looked like a wide stretched warehouse. Vines grew everywhere, and there were rickety bridges stretched over gaping tunnel holes. The grass was up to my hips and tugged at my sweater.
"Let's keep moving this place gives me the creeps." Glimmer shivered, and started walking away, Bow sadly trudged after, and we followed.
The weight of the mission seamed heavier than it was before, and all I wanted was to get this over with...
