That Still Only Counts As One!

Azure's POV

We walked down the hall quietly, and I risked a few glances over at Bow who was talking with the smallest girl of the kitchen staff. She saw me looking at bow and pointed subtly with a small giggle. Bow looked over, and I quickly looked away. I felt nauseates, and I could not think straight.

"Azure, hey." I looked up to see Bow, and I smiled a little.

"Hi Bow." I said, surprised of how steady my voice was, I felt my confidence build back up.

"Find anything interesting down wherever you were?" I asked teasingly, and he nodded.

"Yeah actually." He said and reached into his pocket before pulling out a tiny loaf of bread it was the size of my thumb from the second joint.

I do not know why but I was flooded with a fascination with the tiny thing.

"Oh my gosh it's so cute." I squealed quietly, and Bow smiled wide.

"I know right? It's good to, here." He said handing me the tiny piece.

With great concentration, I cut the piece in half, and handed one back to Bow. I popped the bread into my mouth, and enjoyed the taste of raisins, and cinnamon.

"Oh my gosh." I smiled and turned to the bakers behind me.

"You made this?" the woman with minty green hair, and a pomegranate apron nodded.

"Entrapta only eats tiny food." She said, and I nodded.

"Well, I'd love to see your full sizes." I chuckled, and she laughed as well, both of us trying to be quiet.

I turned to Bow, and he dropped his gaze.

"I'm glad you're here again." He looked up at my words, and I felt his hand slip into mine.

We reached a large vent, and Entrapta pulled it open, and crawled inside. I followed behind Noah, and Glimmer who was pulling Adora. I was on my hands, and knees though the vents, lint collecting on my back, sleeve cuffs and skirt.

"Well this seems familiar." Noah mutter from up ahead. I chuckled at the memory.

"We used to hide in the air ducts." I said, and I heard a few snickers, up, and down the line.

We emerged silently into a large room, cluttered with broken parts, and ruined tech. We couched behind a pile of the rubbish, and I had my knife ready.

"Okay where is the disc?" Bow asked.

I looked up to see a mass of red, tendrils twisting around, and draining the power supply from the computers as it was fed in by the power cords.

"How fascinating, it has completely protected itself." Entrapta said excitedly.

"We have to find a way to turn it off." Bow said.

I went tense as I saw Adora in the middle of the floor.

"Hey guys, I found the bots!" She shouted drunkenly and staggered around.

The bots surrounding the computer switched on and focused on Adora. Glimmer shouted her name, and teleported over, grabbing Adora, and appearing at the top of a large container. The bots surrounded the cylinder and clawed at them. Adora shrieked, and Glimmer shushed her.

"Glimmer!" Bow exclaimed.

"We'll get your friends; you go get that disc turned off." the green haired woman said, and I made note to get her name.

"Keep them busy." Bow smiled at her.

Noah shifted on the spot snarling with the ache of the transformation. His pupils dilated, and he leapt forward into action. I looked to bow.

"I'll create a protection wall; you just focus on the disc." I said.

Entrapta used Bow's tracker pad and held it up. I assumed it was for science. I turned, and with a deep intake of air I shifted. The clothing on my body slowed the process, and I snapped my jaws, and found my body fully reconstructed.

I raised my hackles, and guarded Bow, and Entrapta. A few bots ran astray toward me, and I lunged forward. The red ebbed at my vison as I snapped my jaws around the metal, crunching, and denting the bots, disabling them one by one. Bow, and Entrapta glided above the fight, via hair, and started tugging at the tendrils around the disc.

"Aha! Its running on its own power now!" I heard Entrapta shout giddily as I gnashed my teeth though another bot, and tossed it into another, on coming.

The computer screens crackled, and went dark, but not for long. The red tendrils pulsed with power, self-sustaining itself. Running of its stolen power.

"Dumb bots, you're going the wrong way. Bow, look out!" Glimmer shouted.

I turned to see the bots all coming this way. Noah converged on my side.

"How many can you take?"  Noah asked, and I grinned, showing all my pointed teeth, snagged with power cords, my muzzle stained with oil.

"More than you." I said cheekily, and he rolled his eyes.

"We'll see." He lunged forward, and I snarled.

"No fair!" Tearing into the first bot I saw, the red grew stronger, and I would shout our numbers.

Noah braced himself against a metal pipe and knocked it down. It took at least ten bots with it, and they were out of the game. Noah looked at me, and I growled.

"That still only counts as one." Noah shrugged his hackles, in a very human like way, and kept fighting.

"That's it. We need to get out of here and burn this place to the ground. Experiment officially failed!" Entrapta way saying.

But was tackled by a large bot. The red in my vision grew stronger, as I tried to free myself from the weight of the bot. Other overwhelmed me and cried out in shock as one rolled over my gut. I could see Bow though the mass of bots, being lifted high into the ceiling by Entrapta.

"Now's your chance Sonic Arrow. I believe in you." Bow said, and I barely heard him over the sound.

Noah barreled into one of the bots, and knocked it down I leapt up just in time so see the arrow whistle though the air, and land in the center of the disc the screech was intense, and I pressed into Noah, as the disc exploded, and the screeching stopped.

As the smoke faded, I could see the bots looking rather normal. For robots that is. Glimmer teleported down with Adora who pinched her nose, and I could feel the throbbing in her head.

"Where am I, what's happening?" Adora asked, and Glimmer, and Bow hugged her.

"Thanks, former tall one, and companions for saving our lives. I'd be honored to join your rebellion and provide you with weapons." Entrapta said hopefully and fiddled with her hair.

Bow nodded and looked past her at the three bakers.

"Thanks guys, you saved us all back there. The rebellion needs regular people, now more than ever."

They all beamed in pride and nodded.

"We're ready!" the small girl said throwing a plate into the air. The bow shot a jet of soda at it, and the plate broke into pieces.

I blinked in confusion, but cuddled into Noah, smoothing his fur on his neck, and he rested his head on mine.

"How many?" I asked, and he nudged me playfully.

"Seven." He said proudly, and I grumbled.

"What was that?" he asked cheekily, and I sighed.

"Six... stupid one upper." I grumbled, and he laughed.

I shifted back, and Bow walked over to me. I met his eyes, and he looked at Noah who shifted back to human, and walked away, pointing to his eyes, then to Bow's in a I-am-watching-you, gesture.

I looked back at Bow, and he rubbed the back of his neck.

"So... I mean, do you, ahem." He cleared his throat and stuttered.

"Well, when we get back, can we- I mean would you?" I kind of gout the gist of it, and by his sent, posture, and speech I knew I was not wrong.

"Y-yes, let's hang out." I said, and his eyes brightened, and he smiled playfully.

"We should go before we almost get killed again." I nodded, and we went to say out goodbyes...

"So maybe you had a point before." Glimmer admitted shyly.

"What? I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you." Bow asked, teasingly, and I rolled my eyes.

Noah was holding my hand, and we walked side by side with the others.

"I think what Glimmer is trying to say is, you were right. We can always rely on our powers." Adora said and took her sword into her hands.

"Oh, is that what you were trying to say Glimmer? That I was right?" Bow said slyly, and Glimmer scowled.

"Yes." She grumbled embarrassed.

"And that my sonic arrow was a good idea?" Glimmer tip toed up to look in in the eyes. "Yes, it was brilliant, and you were totally right, okay?" Glimmer admitted Taking his head under her arm and giving him a playful rub on his head.

"If you had not come, the bots would have gotten us. I did not know She-Ra could get sick like that. What if it happens again" Adora said worriedly?

"It won't. We destroyed that evil, She-Ra hating disc." Bow said encouragingly, putting a hand on her shoulder, and Adora nodded.

"Good, I never want to feel that way again." A smile returned to her face, and I walked over to her, and put an arm around her shoulders.

"Thank for saving us, Bow." Glimmer said, and Bow nodded proudly.

"All in a day's work, for Bow, and his band of kitchen Knights. His Baking Brigade. Pastry Patrol! I'm still working that one out."

"Oh, look at that rock just staring at us. Boy, that rock really needs smashing, and since, She-Ra isn't sick anymore, she should probably smash it." Glimmer said hopefully, looking to Adora.

"Aha!"

Bow gave Adora look as she raised her sword.

"What? Its practice. For the Honor of Gray skull!" Bow shook his head, and I laughed, as Noah shifted, and I climbed onto his back, and tugged Bow with me.

He sat behind me, and I raised my arms with a whoop as Noah started forward. Bow clung to me, and laughed tentatively raising one hand, as we rode down the hill, Glimmer, and Adora running with us.

There was a flash across the darkening sky, and Noah stopped.

"Wow, check out those lights." Glimmer said in awe.

What I was staring at finally dawned on me. It was the Aurora system, active once again. I looked down at Noah, who nodded wearily. I listened to the voices meant for my ears only, and memorized every word...
