Huntara Converts to the Rebellion
Azure's POV
I zigzagged to the top of the pit and with a grunt, I landed on the surface. "If you guys can climb up, I can pull you over!" I called down, but Glimmer shook her head.
"If I teleport close enough you can grab us." Glimmer said, and I winced, feeling bruises on my back and legs. I nodded slowly. "Okay, ninth time's the charm." Glimmer breathed, and I readied my body, gathering my strength in my arms and legs. "Everyone hold on. One, two..." Glimmer Bow and Adora disappeared then reappeared in the air on the other side of the pit.
There was no way I could reach them before Gravity took over. They fell and I winced as Adora landed on Bow.
"Bow, are you okay?" Adora asked, getting off him.
"Luckily, everyone landing on my ribs distracts from the other bruises." Bow winced and Adora pulled him up.
"Try and aim for my side of the hole this time." I tipped and Glimmer glared at me.
"I'll get it this time. Hold on." The flash appeared a foot in front of me this time. I reached forward, and grabbed Bow who connected the two, and pulled them over the top. I fell back, exhausted even though I was a few bruises less than the others.
"Ugh, I am sick of this!" Glimmer groaned loudly, standing up. "We have been tricked, robbed, temporarily paralyzed. And now we are stuck out here in the middle of-" Glimmer ranted but Bow grabbed her hand, and I sat up, looking at Adora.
"Glimmer." Bow said firmly and grabbed her hand. Adora's head was hung and she was on her knees.
"I mean, I am so glad we finally got out of there." Glimmer said with sympathy gladness.
"Adora?" I asked, looking at her. She stood and walked a few steps away and leaned into a rock sheet. Adora pressed her hands to her head and I could feel a mixture of feeling rolling of her.
"Having this mission made me feel in control. After the last few days, I really needed it. I needed answers." She said and pulled her hands from her face, dropping them into her lap. "I thought if I found out more about Mara, I'd find out more about myself, where I came from and why." She said.
I stood up and Bow put his hand on her shoulder. "And we will still get those answers. We're not beat yet." He assured her. "Sure, this road trip has been kind of a disaster." Bow admitted and I chuckled.
"Pretty standard for us."
Adora smiled. "But we know you're going through a lot, and we have got your back, whatever you need to do." Bow said and Glimmer smirked.
"Besides, it's not like you stole our weapons and left us stranded." Glimmer grumbled and frowned.
"It's Huntara." Adora said, and Glimmer glared at the mention of the name.
"Exactly. Its Huntara's fault." Glimmer growled but Adora's eyes were fixed on the ground.
"No. It's Huntara." Adora pointed. I smirked and cracked my neck. Oh yeah.
"We'll never see the tracks in the dark." Bow said sadly, and I turned to them, braid swishing.
"Naturally, my Night vision should handle this." I said and turned to the tracks. "I am ready to get my axe back."
...Pressing my back to the stone I listened to the conversation on the other side.
"Stop messing around." I heard Huntara command, and I slid to the next rock. Bow and Adora where behind me, and Glimmer waited for the opportune moment to show her hand.
"Come on, we are just having fun." I heard the goat woman scoff. "Didn't you see the shock on those outsiders' faces?" There was a breath of disgust.
"Awe look at this. I think Huntara liked them. Are you feeling guilty?" The goat mocked. There was a clang and a shout of surprise. The rock vibrated.
"I did what I had to, to keep us all safe." Huntara growled. There was scornful laughter, and I flexed my claws.
"You mean, keep yourself safe. You act so tough, but you are running scared from something just like the rest of us." I felt the anger bubbling from Huntara.
She roared, and the rock shook against my back. "I don't run away from anything. I am Huntara of the Crimson Waste." Glimmer disappeared and I heard Huntara grunt.
"Nice. I am Princess Glimmer of Bright Moon, and I sparkle!" There was another grunt, and chaos erupted in the camp, now was our opening.
I investigated the camp; seeing Huntara standing over Glimmer who threw herself over Bow's quiver. She reappeared next to me and handed Bow the weapon. Adora crashed into Huntara. Bow fired arrows at the goat woman, and Glimmer appeared, taunting the four-armed reptile. I shot into the camp; eyes fixed on my axe which the goat woman ran for.
"Hey!" I roared and she turned to see me. Her eyes were wide, and I leapt into the air, hurdling over her, and landing next to my axe. I grabbed it and brandished it against her. She bolted.
I smirked, following. I herded her into a small space. She took out her blow darts and fired at me. I dodged and threw my axe at her. She dodged that and aimed another dart. Faster than I could blink, she was caught, pressed to the canyon wall by a net.
"Ha!" Bow laughed, and I turned to him and nodded to him.
"Thank you!" I called, and he opened his mouth, but he only gaped as the ground shook. Glimmer appeared, and I saw a rock-slide bury the four-armed reptile. She teleported next to us.
I heard Adora grunting, and Bow grabbed onto me just as Glimmer teleported. I felt dizzy and sick as we reappeared seconds later. We appeared just as Huntara was down on the ground, her eyes dazed. Glimmer grabbed the sword, and Huntara looked up and I sensed fear in her head.
"Quick, time for She-Ra." Glimmer called throwing the sword.
Huntara closed her eyes as the sword flew past her head. Adora grabbed it out of the air an Huntara looked at her in shock. "Wait. You know about She-Ra?" She asked, and Adora gracefully moved the sword in front of her face.
"Know about She-Ra?" She chuckled, clearly done with these games. "I am She-Ra. For the honor of Grey skull!" I shielded my eyes at the flash of light and grinned as it faded away, leaving the familiar second form of Adora.
"She-Ra is a person?" Huntara breathed and Adora stepped over to her and lifted her chin with the sword. I flinched. Though I could sense Adora's intentions were not murderous, I still worried for Huntara.
"Where did you hear about, She-Ra? After all, it is not like it is something they teach you in the Horde." Adora said with a small shake of her head.
"I was a Horde soldier. They told us we were heroes freeing Etheria from the evil Princesses. But when I saw what we were doing, how Hordak just threw soldiers away... Well, you know what we saw; You were one of us. That is where you learned to fight, isn't it?" Huntara admitted gruffly. Adora's eyes widened the slightest bit at Huntara's words.
"I'd recognize that training anywhere." Huntara added, and Adora leaned down to her level.
"You deserted. I did, too; and I joined the Rebellion." Adora informed her and glared.
"Then you're a fool. One girl can't make a difference against the Horde. Even a tall shiny girl like you. It is useless to try." I watched the exchange with tense muscles.
"Maybe, but I am not alone. I won't stand by and watch people get hurt. And I won't run away." Huntara turned away, but Adora guided her face back to hers with her hand under her chin. "Huntara, I need your help. I need you to help us find what we came for. Together, we can all bring this war to an end." As Adora spoke I felt the heartbeats drawing near but within seconds there were two hands on the back of my neck, in the perfect position to snap it if I dared to move.
"You need to drop your weapons." Glimmer groaned as she was held up by the goat woman, dart gun pointed to her neck. "Come on, Huntara, let's just grab our loot and go."
I watched as Huntara stood and walked over to us, placing a hand on the goat's shoulder. The woman grunted in pain and let go as Huntara squeezed her pressure point. The hands behind my neck were wrenched away, and I immediately went to Glimmer, helping her up. Glimmer grabbed onto my arms and I hugged her, feeling the fear in her slowly leaving. I watched Huntara pick up her own staff and speak.
"You're right. What I saw in the Horde scared me, and I ran." The staff retracted into itself. "But I am not going to run anymore. I face my problems head-on." She said, walking back towards Adora. "And if you are trying to stop the war, then I will do what I can to help you." Huntara said, holding out her hand, and Adora took it. "Now come on. We've got lots of ground to cover before we reach the ship." Huntara said, and I cocked my head.
"What ship?" I asked. I staggered up a dune after Huntara and Adora. As I reached the top, I halted in my tracks.
"Adora..." Bow whispered, standing beside me.
"What is that?" I stared up at the massive black shape, protruding from the sand, years of neglect weighed upon the metal, and the rising sun glinted off the dull metal.
"Its... its Mara's Ship." Adora breathed in shock. This was it., this was the final solution...
