Horde Spy

Azure's POV

"Come on, come on..." Bow muttered patting his tablet. It was glitching and buzzed.

"Please tell me we're not lost." Glimmer said, sounding nervous, and annoyed.

I looked at Petra who was stretching sleepily.

"No, thing's just acting up. Looks like we're being overloaded by the tech's signal. We must be getting close!" Bow said and leaned on a tree trying to get the tablet to work.

Petra's face was illuminated by a steady stream of pale blue light. Glimmer saw it too, and we turned to look for the source. It was not too far away; the light was bulging through the trees.

"Uh... I think it's that way." Glimmer said, and I nodded.

"What makes you say that?" Bow asked, and I cleared my throat, pointing. He looked up, and his eyes widened.

"Oh, yeah. That'll do it." Bow said.

The tug got stronger, and I worried that I would be swept off my feet at any moment.

"I don't like this." Petra said, and I nodded.

"Every fiber in my body wants me to leave, and never come back." I said, and she nodded.

"I feel you."

The woods were cold, and I could no longer feel any connection to the creatures living in these woods. Bow started walking off and beckoned for us to follow.

"Come on, we're really close." He said, and I cocked my head. It was as if the light was all over the place now.

"Bow I think it's that way." I said, pointing to the direction we had been going.

"Trust me guys, my gut says it's this way." Bow said jutting a thumb over his shoulder.

"Bow that's the edge of the forest, it's just playing with us." Petra said, pointing in the opposite direction, back the way we came.

"I think it's that way." She said, and I sniffed the air, closing my eyes, and letting the sent paint an image.

"It's in the direction we've been going." I said opening my eyes, and Glimmer nodded.

"That's right, it's been getting brighter the further we go." She said and kept walking.

"I think we should go this way." Bow said, and Glimmer groaned.

"Bow, just let me lead the way, okay?" She said.

"The light came from the edge of the forest." Bow countered finally getting his tablet to work.

"Yes, you saw the light, it's this way." Glimmer said stepping into a small clearing.

I shook my head. The pull on my chest was so strong now. I rubbed the center of my chest and looked up as a blinding light flashed in my eyes.

"The tracker pad says otherwise." Bow was saying as I locked eyes with someone standing across the clearing.

Her eyes where wide, and I cocked my head. A badge on her chest shimmered with a painfully familiar symbol.

Her hair was dirty blonde and tied back in a ponytail, silvery blue eyes staring towards us in shock.

Glimmer finally saw what I saw, and gasped. Bow stopped, and Petra fell backwards.

"Horde solider!" Glimmer shouted.

"I see her!" Bow screeched.

They both started yelling at the top of their lungs, trying to scare her off. Instead she ran towards the light source which took from of a large sword.

Glimmer, and Bow ran towards her as well. I leaned against a tree with Petra, sensing no real harm was the girl's intention. Glimmer teleported to the sword, and grabbed it, giving the girl a firm, but nasty look. The girl lunged for the sword as Glimmer teleported away with it. She only managed to get a few feet away, as the girl lunged for her again.

"Bow, catch!" Glimmer shouted, throwing it to Bow, who dropped his own weapon to catch it.

He yelped with surprise as the girl ran at him.

"Give me the sword!" She shouted.

Glimmer teleported onto her back and yanked her ponytail.

I leaned over to Petra and muttered. "Should we do something."

She snickered, and shook her head, "No way, this is great."

I snorted and kept watching.

"Get off!" The girl shouted up at Glimmer, going into a dive roll, and threw Glimmer.

She landed on her back and huffed. The girl took out a bola, and sent it hurling towards Bow. It caught his legs, and he was sent sprawling.

"Stand down, I don't want to hurt you." The girl said running for the sword.

Glimmer teleported in front of her.

"Since when do Horde soldiers do not want to hurt anyone?" Glimmer growled.

"Woof." Petra said, and I nodded.

She shifted, and I followed. Now on my large four paws.

Glimmer threw a large cloud of glitter at the girl and turned to the sword. The girl lunged through the cloud, and toppled Glimmer.

Taking a running leap, a snarl escaped my open maw, and I knocked the girl backward. I bared my fangs, as I stood over her. Petra snapped her jaws around the bola, and it fell from Bows legs. The girl under me, rolled to the side, and made a grab for the sword.

I planted a paw firmly on her back, preventing her from moving, and her fingers only grazed the sword, and that was all it took.

Light exploded, and I threw myself back throwing myself over, Glimmer, and Bow, with Petra at my side, and braced against the blast.

Tentatively I opened my eyes, and moved off Bow, and Glimmer. I looked cautiously at the sword, then at the girl.

"Was that a nuclear thing?" Petra asked, now human, and I shook my head, and ruff.

"If so, we'll all have cancer." Petra rolled her eyes.

"What did she say?" Bow asked, and Petra shrugged.

"She's just being a downer." I frowned and shoved her with my shoulder.

Glimmer tied up the girl, and I sniffed the sword. There was so sulfur sent, or sign of a trigger, the only thing there was an opal embedded in the hilt. I was to remain in wolf from, because I could keep up the intimidation, and find our way back... I could do that as a person but... I liked the height advantage.

It did not take linger for the girl to regain consciousness.

"Hey she's awake!" Bow shouted nest to her.

"What happened?" She asked looking at the sword in Glimmer's hand.

"Quiet Horde spy! I ask the questions." Glimmer growled.

Petra shifted, and walked over to me.

"I can't believe you touched it... it's so... weird," she grunted, and I shook my head.

"It's a Her. I really don't think she's aware of what's happening out here." I tried.

"She is a Horde Soldier, and that fall under the category of It." Petra sniffed. " And How can they not know?"

"How did you make it this far into the whispering woods?" Glimmer snapped, and the girl looked up at her as she stood.

"I just walked in. And I'm not a spy!" She countered, angrily.

I rolled my eyes. "Just anybody walks in here now."

Petra nodded in agreement.

"Sure, sure. You just happened to find yourself in the Whispering Woods. Just like you so happened to try and steal our sword." Glimmer spat.

"It's not yours. I found it first." The girl growled.

"The Whispering Woods are under the rebellions protection. You're lucky to make it as far as you did, Come on Bow, let's get this spy back to Bright Moon where she can be interrogated properly." She said, and then looked at us.

"Watch her, please." I nodded and Lay down next to Petra who was already sitting.

"This is perfect, not only do we have the First Ones tech for the Rebellion, we've also captured a Horde spy! Mom is going to be so impressed." Glimmer was squealing excitedly.

I huffed, and yawned, pink tongue lolling out of the side of my mouth.

"Now come on! On your feet!" Glimmer commanded, stomping over.

I stood up and Shifted. Petra stretched before doing the same. I walked past the girl who looked like she had seen a ghost.

I put an arm over Bow's shoulder and sighed.

"Glimmer is going to make the best queen one day. All of Bright Moon will be party central." Petra said walking over, and I nodded.

"Oh yeah." I winked and Bow chuckled.

"We're all doomed, aren't we?"

I nodded. "Screwed..."
