Glimmer Gitches
Azure's POV
I woke up pumped, the drugs in my body took me high, and I wanted to do everything, and anything. Petra took me up to check on Glimmer, who was experiencing glitches. Bow, and Adora were up there too, and Bow perked up a little when he saw me.
"Azure?" he asked and stood up. "I thought Faust was keeping you under lock, and key." Adora said, and I shrugged.
"No walls can hold me." I replied, and Adora hugged me.
"She's pretty high, she won't feel much for now." Petra informed them.
I cast glances over at Bow, who barely made eye contact with me, and our faces were both pretty red.
"How's Glimmer?" I asked and Bow shrugged.
"She's not so hot, the glitches are getting more intense." Bow said, and I nodded slowly.
"When you shift too young, your body starts to reject the transformation at first, and makes it pretty painful, I can sympathize." I said, and Petra nodded.
"How old were you when you shifted?" Adora asked, and I shrugged.
"I was ten, and the transformation wasn't so bad." I shrugged, and Petra nodded.
"I was nine, and a half."
Glimmer sighed, and Bow stood up to hover over her, watching her intently.
"I can feel you watching me." Glimmer sighed.
"I'm not." Bow objected, though worry laced his tone. He sat down again, and I watched Adora, and Petra spar.
"Ah, I told you I just needed to r-" Glimmer shuddered violently, and her form blazed.
She shouted in pain, and I got up a little too quickly, and rushed to stable her.
"It didn't work!" Glimmer groaned, and Bow stared wide eyed.
"Work? It made it worse!" He pointed, and I playfully slapped his hand away.
"It was worth a shot." I consoled her.
"Glimmer, are you up there?" A voice called distantly.
Adora looked over the petal like walls.
"Uh, guys? We've got a problem." Adora squeaked.
"We can't let my mom see me like this!" Glimmer exclaimed, swatting the danger sparks away from her.
"Glimmer, there you are. Are you feeling better?" Angela said, her wings fluttering as they carried her over the walls, and she landed.
"Whoa mom, can't a girl recharge in private?" Glimmer joked lamely, and I winced.
"Anyway, we were just leaving." Glimmer lied and pulled Bow with her. Petra, and I followed trying not to be seen.
"Glimmer is everything alright? Glimmer! Don't walk away from me." Angela shouted after us. "I just wanted to talk..."
We started off in Glimmer's room, and Bow started to clean absentmindedly. Perfect, I make mess he hates mess, puzzle pieces, really.
"Maybe it's like a cold, I've never been sick. Having an immortal mother has some advantages." Glimmer said tossing a pillow, which Bow almost immediately picked up.
"What do you do when you have a cold?" Glimmer asked.
"Remain out of sight." Adora said dramatically, and we exchanged a few confused looks.
"What? Displays of physical weakness is discouraged in the Horde." Adora defended herself quietly,
"And they're right. I haven't been training enough and look what happened." Adora said sparing with a hanging lamp.
"We've been trained in hand to hand combat most of our lives, and we weren't ready." Petra said, and I nodded.
"People get hurt and die. It's part of war, and life." I said with a small shrug.
The death's hurt more than anything, but you must cope with it or else it gets the better of you. I think that was covered without words.
"Stop it Adora. They are not right. Okay, cold, um..." Bow trailed off as he protected the lamp.
"Lots of liquids, and rest. Oh! I'll make soup!" He said excitedly, and I laughed lightheartedly.
"Great, and I'll nap. I bet when I wake up, I will be as good as new. Yeah, I just got to let this run its course." Glimmer said and turned towards her bed. Up high... Attached to the ceiling.
"Ugh, why did I make my bed so high? Give me a boost?" Glimmer asked turning to Bow.
Glimmer stepped onto his shoulders, and he hoisted her up. Petra tried to help steady him, but it was futile. There was lots of crashing, and chair moving. I sat down on a cushion, and opened a book, scanning the pages.
"We're not letting anything run its course. You're getting worse." Adora said, and Glimmer sighed.
"I am not." As soon as the words were spoken, she shuddered, and collapsed, pulsing with pain.
"Okay maybe a little." Glimmer admitted as Petra, and Bow helped her up.
"Look, you got sick because of whatever dark magic Shadow-Weaver made with the Black Garnet." Adora said, and Petra nodded.
"Maybe the sword can heal you. She healed the trees in Pulmaria." She said, and Adora nodded.
"I hate to break it too you, but Glimmer isn't exactly a tree." I said cheekily.
"Well, but She-Ra definitely fixed the Sea Gate." Adora added.
"Glimmer's not machinery." Bow interjected.
"And you don't know how to fully control She-Ra's Powers yet. No offense." But Adora looked very offended.
"This is a great idea! She-Ra will fix me, then everything will be back to normal." Glimmer said excitedly, leading Adora to the center of the room
"Did no one hear what I just? -"
"For the Honor of Gray skull!" Adora shouted, and the light filled the room.
I shielded my eyes and stood up with Bow's help. Adora stood in full Glory, and I held up the book.
"Hey Glimmer, can I borrow this?" I asked, and she nodded, waving a dismissive hand. Petra took my hand.
"Come on, let's go do drugs." She said, and I smirked.
"Great, I like drugs. Anybody want any?" I asked rhetorically, and Petra helped me stumble out the door.
"I can't wait to shift again." I mumbled, walking the halls. Petra nodded.
"I know what you mean, I twisted my ankle on a run, and Noah won't let me do anything." She groaned. I nodded.
"Noah is protective, if he was the one who walked in on me kissing Bow, we would both be d-" Petra grabbed me by the shoulders trying to be gentle.
"You did what!?" She howled excitedly. I blushed hard.
"Well, I-I mean it was just a peck, it felt longer sure but-" Petra clapped her hands and lead me to our room in a hurry.
"Details, and don't leave anything out or I'll kill you." Petra said, and I laughed.
"It was soft, and he smells like rain, and campfire." I said dreamily, and Petra fell back on the bed.
"Ooh! We are going to get so high to celebrate!" Petra cackled, and I hugged her...
