A Sick Day

Azure's POV

By the time we made it back on Bright Moon's grounds everyone was practically sleep walking Glimmer rode on the horse, and I never moved from Petra's back. I saw the palace ahead, and a pang of worry stuck my chest.

"Hey, we made it." Bow said touching Glimmer's arm.

Adora gaped at the sight. "Whoa..."

Glimmer perked up a little and swooped a handout. "Welcome to Bright Moon."

Birds flew high in the late morning sky, and the Moonstone pulsed. The sun reflected off the marble domes, and the lake glittered beautifully.

"It's so beautiful." Adora smiled.

"Okay, I just need to go recharge, then deal with my mom." Glimmer said and looked back at Bow.

"Uh, Bow? Maybe you should take Adora in the back way." She said, and I cocked my head, Petra doing the same thing.

"Oh yah, good call." Bow agreed. Adora looked at him with a smile.

"The back way?" Adora asked, and I nodded.

"I'll head in the normal way; I need to see the healers." I muttered and Bow nodded.

We split, and I finally could gasp in pain.

Petra started worriedly, as I gripped my leg. She tilted her head back and howled. I slid off her back and lay on the ground. The pain was overwhelming. I was panicking, my vison was hazy, but I saw two wolves exit from the woods not far from us.

Within a few moments they were here. Faust changed into human from and looked at me in a full-on panic.

"Azure! What happened?"

The rest of them where human in a flash, and Noah rolled up my pant leg while Petra explained.

"She broke her ankle, we got into a bad situation, and she shifted."

Noah turned pale, and so did the others. Trying to sit up I managed to get a look at my leg. It was violet and swollen.

"We need a healer, now!" Faust said picking me up.

My eyes dropped closed as before I knew it, I had passed out... again.

...My eyes opened slowly as I awoke. My leg was still throbbing, but it was not bad. I rolled my head to the side, and saw Petra sleeping in a bed identical to the one I was in, only a few feet way. Noah, and Faust where seated at the foot of our beds, and Faust made his way to my side. He had a cup of water with him and gave it to me. Most of it sloshed down my chin, and soaked my shirt, but I was able to drink. When I was done, I looked up at him as he moved my hair away from my forehead.

"What happened?" I asked, and he helped me sit up.

"Your right leg is temporary paralyzed; it will regain its full function soon." He said, and I put my head back against the wall.

"Your circulation was cut off by the shards of your own bone traveling and sticking in places. They removed them, and you should be feeling better soon." I nodded and looked over at Petra.

"Is she okay?" I asked, and he nodded.

"Tired, and bruised, but not bad." I nodded, and Faust shook his head.

He had dark circles under his eyes and was scratched in a few places. He must have been in the woods looking for us the whole time.

"Glimmer snuck out, and I needed to make sure she was okay. I was worried about what happened in Elberon." I said, and he nodded.

"I was worried that's where you went. We got news it fell a few hours after Petra left the hunt." I nodded.

The doors opened, and Faust turned away from me, and bowed. Queen Angela came into view and took my hand.

"Glimmer said you might be here." She said and looked at my elevated leg. It was bandaged, and bloody, but still there.

"What happened?" She asked kindly.

"I shifted with a broken ankle. We ran into some trouble. Glimmer found you alright?" I asked and she nodded.

"You could have lost your leg to paralysis." She said, and I nodded.

"I just needed to make sure everyone was safe." Angela bent down and hugged me.

"Thank you." She whispered before standing and smiled fondly.

"You are to be on bed rest until your leg is healed. And I'm sorry to say you'll be fed only the best foods." She smiled, and I made a sad face.

"Poor me." She nodded, giving my brothers a word of thanks before walking out...

I sat in my room with Petra, eating raisin bread with milk when Faust, and Noah walked in.

"Glimmer is getting it right now." Noah winced.

"Apparently she brought back a Horde spy when she was out with... you guys." Noah stopped short, and Petra exchanged a look with me.

Noah face palmed. "Oh, dear moons."

I grabbed my crutches and hurried as fast as I could to the throne room. It was crowded with scared rebels, and guards. Angela was shouting at Glimmer, and Bow.

"Your majesty!" I blurted hobbling over.

She turned on me with a harsh glare.

"You had something to do with this, too didn't you?" she asked wings flaring.

"My Queen, I'm sorry, but I take full responsibility." She rubbed her temples and groaned.

"Why is it every time you say it's your fault?" I stayed quiet, and shrugged, turning back to Glimmer.

"How could you possibly think this was acceptable?!" She growled.

"Mom, you don't understand, you're not listening!" Glimmer fired back.

"You've shone remarkably poor judgment, allowing a Horde soldier into Bright Moon without telling me!"

Bow put a hand on a deflated Glimmer's shoulder.

"Your majesty, it's not all her fault. Like Azure said, we all had something to do with it." Angela then tried to be calm when speaking to him.

"Bow, I think it's time you went home. Glimmer, and I have a lot to discuss." Bow nodded sadly.

"Mom!" Glimmer shouted.

Someone gasped as a bright light spilled into the room.

Always with a bright light.

I turned to see Adora as She-Ra enter the room walking up to us, I bowed my head, and moved aside, Noah, and Faust kept on staring. Petra elbowed Noah and tilted her nose up. I rolled my eyes and watched. Angela looked awestruck.

"It can't be." She whispered.

"Mom, I was trying to tell you. Meet-" Glimmer started but Angela spoke softly.

"She-Ra..." I nodded, and Faust looked at me.

"Your majesty, I've come to pledge myself to the Rebellion. But first, there's something you should know." She said before sizing down and becoming Adora again.

Angela gasped, and the people muttered. Faust tensed, and stepped in front of me. Glimmer took Adora's arm and looked at her mother firmly.

"Mom, this is Adora." Glimmer said, and Adora knelt holding the sword in front of her.

"I know you have no reason to trust me, your majesty, but I've seen for myself the atrocities the Horde has committed against the people of Etheria, and I'm ready to stop them." Adora spoke firmly.

"If you give me the chance, I know I can help the Rebellion turn the tide of the war."

She said holding up her sword to Queen Angela. Taking the sword, she looked down at Adora.

"I know the legend of the warrior the First Ones called She-Ra. They said she would return to us, in the hour of our greatest need, to bring balance Etheria. I never thought she was anything more than a myth, but here you are here now, in the uniform of a Horde soldier no less. You would pledge to stand with us against those you once served?" Adora nodded.

"Yes..." Angela looked to Glimmer.

"And Glimmer, you would vouch for her, and take responsibility for her?" Glimmer took a step forward and nodded.

"Yes..." Angela looked down at Adora.

"Then rise. The Rebellion accepts your allegiance, She-Ra, Princess of Power." Angela smiled holding out the Sword.

Adora rose and took it. I pumped my fist and howled.

"She-Ra!" The chant rippled across the room, and Adora looked at Petra, and I.

Cupping a hand to my mouth I howled, Noah, Faust, and Petra doing the same.

Glimmer embraced Adora with a squeal.

"Welcome to Bright Moon!" Bow joined in the hug.

"But for real this time."

Irolled my eyes as they headed over to us, and I hugged them as well as I couldover my crutches...
