Excelsior is the second ship of the Marshal-Crux Class, he is a sharp minded person like his former Captain. Excelsior became a human because of Project Ascendant, a project in which the Interstellar Space Alliance Federation (ISAF) were dealing with a war against Privateers. ISAF required a more efficient way to fight the Privateers without their ships losing crew. And so Project Ascendant was initiated, which created Ascenders (This stories fictional term for shipgirls/boys). Excelsior might be as sharp as a needle but he has the a golden heart. When he was unexpectedly transported to the world of Azur Lane, he became a masterful tactician against the Sirens, but also took care of the young destroyers, unlike Ark Royal, Excelsior would tell stories of battles he participated in, and stories of his siblings to the destroyers. He even educated them on how vast the galaxy was and history of how humanity spread among the stars. He became somewhat of a brother/teacher model in Azur Lane.
