having quickly returned to the base after recovering Royal,Azur Lane spent the remainder of the day gathering their thoughts and taking a break,they we're no longer comfortable with the thought of Royal's stay in the base,especially after what he had caused in the ruins,everyone was put into grave danger and no one was trusting of the dark anymore

this brought a large complaint to the Royal Navy and it's officers as,whatever happens to Royal was still their decision to make,admittedly,the Officers all agreed that punishing or getting rid of Royal would only serve to weakening them instead of fixing a problem

this did not solve the complaint of the girls however as it still kept Royal around,which they found to be a danger to everyone in the base,this put the Officers in a problematic spot as they had to do something about the complaints while trying to protect Royal as much as possible

other than Cleveland and North Carolina,the Eagle Union wasn't helping much either as their concern was also the safety of everyone in the base,which meant they found Royal to be a certain threat

being unable to come to a decision,the Officers of the Royal Navy put off the talk and meeting until tomorrow,when everyone had sufficient rest and could think rationally about the matter,this brought the time to now as the Royal Navy,both Officers and normal Shipgirls we're in full panic

having the Queen of the Royal Navy wake up in her room to find their Brother missing from where he was left,an immediate search was issued with all Shipgirls,both Royal Navy and Eagle Union on the search for the missing boy

even when being seen as a threat,the girls still we're rational to see him as one of their own,an ally,a friend to many and still the Queen's youngest sibling,though even with the full might of Azur Lane on the search for the boy,no one found a single trace of his whereabouts  

now,with all of the Royal Navy's Officers,other than Warspite,assembled in the Royal Gardens,Q.E was anxiously sipping her morning tea as the other Officers looked at her,concerned for her well being but remaining silent until Hood ripped off the silence

Hood:your Majesty,please remain calm,the anxiousness on you all too clear to see

Q.E:I can't calm down Hood,Warspite almost died yesterday,my Brother went berserk and turned into some kind of Demonic Shadow Creature,endangering everyone and now he's missing

Wales:worrying will do nothing but stress us,your Majesty,we must remain calm and rational if we're to find him

Q.E:Wales,he endangered the fleet just yesterday and now he's missing,he's probably blaming himself for what happened and ran away,he could be anywhere right now,breaking himself down

Valiant:have some faith,Lizzy,we'll find him before any bad happens,the Eagle Union is also pitching in,we'll find him in no time

Q.E:whether we find him now or tomorrow,the damage is done,he'll find it hard to come back here and that'll be because we could not find him sooner

unable to argue with the now pessimistic Queen,the rest of the Officers decided to close their mouths and save their breath as Q.E took another took another big worried sip out of her tea while the last Officer arrived

Warspite,coming out of the garden path stepped into the meeting area as everyone turned their attention to her,looking for some good news of sorts from their best fighter and other Sister of the missing ship

Valiant:Sister

Q.E:Warspite,where have you been

Warspite:my apologies,your Majesty,it took a little longer to prepare myself for the day and I went to see Vestal,I am now back to optimal health and ready for sortie again

Q.E:that's good to hear,then you already know-

Warspite:not to worry your Majesty,I'm well aware of the situation

Valiant:then do you have any clue as to where Brother is

Warspite:call it a hunch but I believe I know where he is,please call back everyone while I go retrieve him

George:is there a particular reason as to why you need everyone to be called back while you search for him

Warspite:simple,any disturbance may shake his will and resolve further,it would be best to distance him from the fleet for the time being,at least until things have died down

Q.E:do what you must,we'll call back everyone

Warspite:of course,you're majesty I'll be back before you know it

having her request heard out and accepted,Warspite left the garden to go search for her Brother as she already had a locked fix on his trail of energy,quickly leaving the base and taking to the water,Warspite sailed at high speed,quickly getting out of visible sight from the base as she sped towards Royal's location

having her wounds from the previous day,Warspite took an extra bit of time to rest more in order for her wounds to heal more,along with her visit to Vestal,this caused her latency of arrival to the meeting which proved to be more than useful as it bought her time to get her fix on Royal's location

she knew that he would run if it were anyone other than his Sisters and there was no chance for any of them to catch him but she also knew that he would at least hear her out if she talked to him

his resolve and will was weak,he was questioning himself and his answer was the same as most of the girl's opinions,he found himself as the threat and naturally,he got rid of it,so that everyone didn't have to worry about it

as Warspite quickly sailed on,the fact that the entire ordeal and the problems at hand were because of her,ate away at her morale as the thought of bringing trouble and worry to her Queen along with having her own Brother pay for her own failure was shameful to her and her status as a Knight and a Sister

to the blonde Knightess,her Brother was every bit as important to her as her duties,her youngest sibling,the youngest ship in the fleet,the youngest of any Ship on the sea,subjected to the isolation he was faced with now,she wasn't going to accept it,to her,death was far more pleasurable than the thought of seeing her Brother suffer in isolation and self destructions as she sailed forward towards him

Warspite's POV

reaching Royal's location,I unsummoned my rigging and stepped onto the sands of the island where Royal's energy was,it didn't seem like he was moving or seemed like he was planning to move,which was a good sign that he would at least listen to Me my words

I walked along the beach,following Royal's energy trail as it continued along the sands,though I sensed he was still a lit bit of a walk away,I could sense his distress as I walked,I felt guilt,worry and sadness in him but a long with all of those,I sensed his weak resolve to carry on with his duty to protect everyone

shackled by his sense of duty,it was the only reason why he hadn't returned or even had the thought of doing so,everything he knew conflicted with each other and we had never prepared him for such events to happen

making a turn on the beach,it didn't take long for Me to find Royal as he sat on the sand of the beach,sitting right under the shade of a palm tree as he sat in a fetal position,holding his legs close with his arms while his chin rested on his knees

I approached him as I noticed his ears twitch,signifying that he was aware of my presence,not that he probably wasn't already,even before I arrived on the island,the clear distress in him was visible in his expression as he hid more than half his face behind his legs,refusing to look towards Me

Warspite:you knew I was coming,you knew I was near but you didn't try to run or leave

Royal:.............................

Warspite:come on,Brother,let's go back

Royal:I can't go back

Warspite:why?,because you think you're a danger?

Royal:I know I'm a danger,I'm threat,you saw what happened in the ruins,

Warspite:Brother-

Royal:whether it be a Siren,a Crimson Axis fleet,a fellow Azur Lane ship or even myself,I will protect her Majesty and everyone from the dangers they may face

Warspite:your not a danger,you lost control,sure but that's normal for everyone,we lose ourselves sometimes,we just have to move forward from it

Royal:it doesn't changes the fact that my presence is a possible danger to the Queen and everyone around,I-

Warspite:you've had blocks in controlling your powers before,this is just another hurdle for you to jump over,you can get over this,be rational about this,Royal

Royal:......................no,this power is too dangerous to be around,even if I could control it-

coming close to a point of snapping,Royal caught himself,realizing that he was once again losing control of himself as he stopped before he could lose his temper in fear of blacking out and becoming that monster that he became yesterday

seeing him in such a state was pitiful and saddening,his resolve had never been so weak and he had never voiced out against anyone in an aggressive manner before,I had never seen or imagined Royal being so broken to a degree like this,I could even assume that his entire world was broken

coming to terms that a normal convincing approach was not going to work,I decided that I needed to let him vent a bit,his stress and anxiety was clearly clouding his judgement and rational thinking,and it was only serving to drive him further into denial

I approached him further,going to his side as I sat down next to him,his breathing indicated,that he was trying his hardest to stay calm and rational,he didn't want to be a danger,he didn't want to be a threat but he didn't know what to do

Warspite:Royal-

Royal:please...............just leave Me here,just go back Sis

Warspite:I'm not going to leave you here

Royal:please-

Warspite:Brother,I nearly died yesterday and when I came too,the first bit of information I was given was that you had gone berserk and became a monster,despite my injuries,despite my life,still being on brink of death,I jumped off my ship and went straight into the darkness you spread to stop you and bring you home,just like when you traded the Cube for Me at the ruins,I refuse to leave you here alone

Royal:I'm not going back Sis,I can't

Warspite:you can,you just don't want to,I know you can see through this,Royal,I know you're stronger than this,I KNOW you can overcome it

Royal:I told you.......................I.....can't-

it was then I heard it first,Royal was sobbing,I turned my head immediately to see tears rolling down Royal's face as it welled up in his eyes while he muffled his sobbing with his legs,it was the first time he had cried,there were many moments and times when it looked like he would have done so before but he had always showed his strength and stopped himself from doing so

this problem,this will breaking anxiety,his weakened resolve,his own denial of his strength,couple with his unrelenting sense of duty had pushed him to his limits and broken him,instinctively and out of reflex,I changed my sitting position to sit on my knees as I wrapped my arms around Royal and pulled him into an embrace

his sobbing,though muffled got louder and more frequent as I ran my hand through his hair and patted his head,his arms tightened around his legs,still refusing to let his face be seen as he I did my best to quell his sadness and lift his anxiety

Warspite:it's alright,Brother,let it all out,even the strongest of fighters,no matter their resolve and strength will shed tears when they are pushed to their limits

Royal:*sobs**sobs*I-

Warspite:shhh,you don't need to say anymore,you're lost,you became the threat you were supposed to protect everyone from,you're confused and don't know what to do,so you ran but that's normal,everyone is confused from time to time

Royal:I...-*sobs**sobs*I don't know*sobs*what to*sobs* do,Sister,I*sobs* don't know

Warspite:it's alright,no one expects you to know,you've tasted defeat and hardship before and you have what it takes to get over it and everyone will be there to help you,your not alone Royal,there are people who will help you now

his sobbing and crying continued but he grew silent as I kept him close in my embrace,refusing to let him go,I refused to let anything get to him,the sharpest sword and strongest shield of the Royal Navy was broken and as his Sister,it was my duty to make sure that he was safe from the harm he was unable to handle at the moment

our silence went on for minutes on end but eventually,Royal calmed down as his sobbing lessened and lessened until it stopped,after a few moment as I continued to run my hand through his soft hair,he lifted his head up looked at Me as I waited for whatever it was he was going to say

Royal:I'll-....................I'll come back now 

Warspite:take your time,Brother,we'll go when your ready 

letting go of his legs,he lowered them let his arms go limp as he rested himself against Me,sinking into the embrace as I kept him close and away from harm,I was glad that I calmed him down and got him to come back and I was glad to have some time of silence with him

unrest was inevitable when the strongest fighter of a faction suddenly becomes a threat and disappears as the girls,having assembled to personally voice out their worries to all Officers of both the Eagle Union and Royal Navy,stood before us in quite surprising numbers

Warspite had not returned as far as I was aware and there was no contact with here that could be established,leading the Eagle Union to place her as missing as well and letting the girls take advantage of the scenario to further voice out their worries and problem

???1:and that what we think,your Majesty,he's too dangerous

Q.E:and would you care to repeat what you said for the 3rd time,there many of you talking at the same time,none of us can follow

???1:your Majesty,you saw what he did,that new power of his is a serious threat to everyone here

???2:yeah,Enterprise,you agree with this,you saw it for yourself

Enterprise:true,we all did see it but truthfully my first actions about it were rash,though he presented danger to the fleet,he is still a ship of this force and a member of Azur Lane,a high ranking officer and unmatched fight nonetheless,we cannot rule out that his help has already brought tremendous help to the war effort

???3:true but as it stands,if he can't even handle himself,how can we expect him to handle us or the Siren's,he's a liability at this point

I found little facts and little reason to continue hearing them out as all I heard from them was small worry and anxious banter and I rested my chin on my palm,that was resting on the table as I looked at the girl who called my Brother a liability

Q.E:please keep in mind that,whether you are talking of a danger or a threat,said danger and threat is still of higher ranking than all of you,you will treat him with respect

hearing the Knightess words,the girls quickly realized what could possibly happen should they be wrong on their claims as Warspite continue to approach us

Warspite:no need to worry,your Majesty,Brother peacefully came back with Me after much conversation,he simply needed to vent out some stress from what had happened

everyone had the same reaction,surprise and shock was what was plastered on our faces as we took in Warspite's words,Brother was made of a Siren object and I only knew now,when he was beyond troubled by his own existence

Valiant:that preposterous,the Black Wisdom Cube the Sakura Empire recovered was the first we've seen of it

Warspite:keep in mind,Sister,Royal has already mentioned that he has come into contact with a Black Wisdom Cube in the Arctic,that was well over 2-3 months ago

Warspite:much like any Wisdom Cube,it contains the ability to manifest anything it's constructor wishes,unlike a normal Wisdom Cube however,there was already a person manifested in the Cube

Warspite:yes,the Cube was more powerful than any Wisdom Cube we have in our possession,our scientists believe that every Black Wisdom Cube is as such

???4:hold on a minute,doesn't that mean,that Royal is sharing a body with a Siren or something

Warspite:in terms yes but also no,the Siren is subjugated to his mind and is trapped there

Q.E:so then..........does that mean,Royal,all this time has had a Siren voice in him

Warspite:from what we understand of it,it's less accurate to call this being in Royal a Siren,from what we know,they go by the title of Calamity

Illustrious:Calamity,a fitting title for something that brings great destruction

Valiant:whatever they call themselves doesn't matter,how do we get it out of Royal

it was like getting hit with a hammer while we were the nail as Valiant leaned back in her chair,now realizing what had to be done to see Royal free from the Sirens

she closed her eyes again and took a deep breath raising her head to face the sky,all before looking back down and let the air out of her

Warspite:it can be controlled

Warspite:this situation is no different than his original training 3 months ago,this is simply just another mountain of trials he has to conquer and given enough time,I know he can master this power

North Carolina:are you sure of this

Warspite:you've watched him wield the powers of light against our enemies with great effect,you've seen what power he bring to the table of this war,it was once the same during his training,uncontrollable and dangerous,I know this new power can be mastered and wielded to the same degree,he just needs time

there was silence between everyone,Warspite had brought up a valid point,it was still his power,it was still something he had controlled before,I've watched him grown from a mindless,order following child to the mature,rational thinking warrior that I hold close as a Brother 

if anyone here could control the extreme power of the Sirens,it was him and him alone,if there was anyone who could work through this whole ordeal,it was Royal  

Cleveland:well I think that settles it,if the Knightess of the Royal Navy thinks the power can be controlled,I think we should let it be,they are the ones with the experience with dealing with this kinds of thing

North Carolina:I agree,they're the ones with the knowledge and experience,I believe they would have the greater judgement here

Washington:I don't fully buy it but losing that power on this front would be a large waste

Hornet:yeah,if the kid can control the light,then who's to say he can't control the darkness

Enterprise:it's settled then,we'll let Royal be with his power but keep us updated on the situation

Cleveland:welp,you heard it here girls,Royal stays on this base until otherwise,that's the final decision,so go get your own duties done

the girls,hearing the final decision,left in silence,leaving to return to whatever it was they were doing,followed by the the Eagle Union;s officers who left to get their own duties and task completed,leaving us Royals in the garden to ourselves

there was silence between all of us,it was taking some time to process all of Warspite's information,it was just to big of a news for all of us,out of all of us though,I was first to come to my verdict as I picked up my scepter and stood from my chair as I walked to exit the garden

Valiant:Lizzy?

Wales:your Majesty?

Warspite:where are you going,your Majesty?

Q.E:I simply wish to see my Brother,I have no instructions or orders for the time being,you may all do as you please

I walked out of the garden as I looked to the top of the tower where the Royal navy officers slept for the night,thinking back to what Warspite had said,I thought of Royal and what he felt,it was indescribable but I could sense him,his guilt,his worry and his anxiousness as I continued onto the tower

I waited patiently in the elevator as the ride took Me up to the top of the tower,where the shared room of my Class was located,there,I might have a few words with Royal in private as the rest of the base was occupied with their own devices

reaching the top,the elevator doors opened for me to step out of as I was met with a small and narrow hallway,walking into it,I approached a door and opened it without second thought as I was met with my room on the other side

on the far left side of the room was Brother,who was sitting on the window seal as he looked out of the window,from what it seemed,it didn't look like he had noticed Me enter the room,which was unusual as he often could hear and sense the littlest of movements and actions

I called out to him,speaking him name as I waited for him to turn around and face Me but he never moved,he continued to look out the window as if he was ignoring Me,I repeatedly called out his name to no avail as he never moved,as if he had gone deaf 

???:he can't hear you,you know,he can't hear anything at the moment,actually

turning to the other far side of the room,I quickly realized that the room I had entered was not as normal as I had first thought as the floor and half the wall turned dark and black while I looked to see the shadowy figure,that caused so much damage yesterday,sitting in the same position and same manner as Royal as it looked at Me with it's 2 red slits,that we're it's eyes

Royal?:I must admit,it took you quite a while to notice Me

Q.E:...................................

Royal?:what's wrong???,not happy to see your,Brother??

Q.E:call yourself that again I will personally see to your demise

 Royal?:hahaha,ooooo I'm so scared,the Queen of the Royal Navy is threatening Me,whatever am I going to do,hahaha

stomping my foot on the ground,a small wave of yellow light spreaded out quickly from where my foot landed as it removed the darkness that was in that area and the darkness in a large radius around Me,removing almost half the darkness of the room as the shadowy figure looked at Me with a hint of concern as I saw myself in the mirror nearby with my right eye having turned blue

Royal?:so.....................it seems the little queen has her own cards

Q.E:I had first thought it was because of my training or self improvement but your appearance and Warspite's knowledge of you and Royal's power told Me otherwise

Royal?:hahahahaha.........amusing,very amusing,you Elizabeth Class continue to surprise Me and my other selves

Q.E:leave his body at once

Royal:hehe,very well,my amusement has been peaked already anyway but do keep in mind,I'll always be in his shadows,waiting my chance to emerge

he retreated back into the shadows after he gave his statement as the darkness reeled back and turned into Brother's normal shadow,I looked at myself in the mirror as my right eye turned back into its normal lilac purple before I turned around to look at Royal who finally realized my presence

Royal:your Majesty!?!

Q.E:we're in private Royal,no need to hold your duties so high,you need to relax

Royal:y-yes Sister

I put down my scepter,leaning it against the side of the bed as I approached Brother,he watched Me as I sat across from him on the window seal as I took both his hand and intertwined them with mine before I looked into his eyes and found his anxiousness 

he knew silence was his only real saviour but it only helped him until I began asking my questions as he knew I would never let go until I was satisfied with his answers

Q.E:how are you feeling

Royal:I'm just fine,Sister

Q.E:you're not fine,Royal,don't lie to Me,I can see it on your face and in your eyes,so I'll ask again,how are you feeling

Royal:........................you shouldn't be so close,your Majesty

Q.E:why??,you're my Brother

Royal:I'm a-

Q.E:you are my Brother,you are my Knight and you are one of my most trusted,you are not those things everyone thinks you are

Royal:there's no denying it,your Majesty,even Warspite says so

I let go of Royal's hands and wrapped mine around his body,pulling him close to Me as I held him in my embrace

Q.E:when I was informed that you we're going to arrived here,I already decided that you we're not going to leave,you are my Knight,my Brother,my strongest fighter,there is no where better for you stay at than at my and your Sister's side

there was no response from him but I felt him close his eyes and sink into my embrace as I felt a small wet liquid roll down my arm while I raised one hand to run through Brother's soft blonde hair,letting him rest comfortably against Me
