I slowly opened my eyes as I felt an aching pain in my entire body,I pushed through the pain to open my eyes,so I could see where I was as all I could remember before passing out was jumping head first into some kind of hole or vortex

when I was able to fully open my eyes,despite my constant wincing,I found myself in some kind of wooden room with floral designs on the wall and double sliding wooden doors with square patterns

I could only assume,that I was in a room inside the Sakura Empire base,I could probably say that I was in the guest building if I had to guess as I tried to sit up to further inspect the room and my situation despite the very noticeable pain across my entire body as every part of Me ached as I groaned in pain and annoyance while I continued to fight though the pain

before I could even try to sit up though,I stopped when I heard a familiar worried voice call my name,I weakly turned my head to look at the source of the voice as I heard a quick shuffle towards Me as I looked to see,Z46 coming towards Me in a hurry and with a very worried expression on her face as she kneeled down to get closer to Me

Z46:Berlin!!!

Berlin:Z.......Z46

Z46:oh,thank god your alright,I was so worried,you weren't waking up and......you were getting weaker and..............that repair ship said that your energy was getting weaker and weaker and-

she stopped abruptly and in mid sentence as she sniffled while tears began to roll down her eyes,I must have been in some serious problem and she must have been so worried if she's crying in relief by just seeing Me awake 

though I still wondered what had happened while I was knocked out,my natural instinct to calm down,Z46 naturally kicked in as naturally as I breathed since my arm fought through the pain of my aching body to pat her head and wipe her tears in order to calm her down

I gave her a reassuring smile as I cupped her cheek while she held onto my hand with both of hers,keeping my hand close to her cheek before she pulled away one hand to wipe away her tears with her sleeve before she then quickly close the space between us to quickly hug Me,which just as quickly spike the aching pain in my body 

though the pain I felt was extreme,I kept quiet as to not further worry Z46 who was crying to my shoulder now,most likely still worried or bothered by whatever it was she was told or knew while I was asleep as I continued to fight through the pain until Z46 could calm down and ease up from the worrying

when she came to and calmed down as she wiped the remaining tears from her face,she helped Me to sit up as the pain my body eased up and slowly disappeared as Z46 continued to hold onto my hand,refusing to let go as I didn't bother to question it and instead question the more important things

Berlin:Z46,I know your worried about Me but I need to know what happened

Z46:well,we're not quite sure either,you went berserk and lost control in the Mirror Sea,releasing so much energy the Sea collapsed from their being too much power,we ended up in the Arctic Sea when we all came to,we searched for you and after a while,we found you falling out of the sky from a rift of the Mirror Sea

Berlin:I..............remember,I woke up in the Mirror Sea,there was so much destruction,I jumped into a rift to escape then I passed out

Z46:Ms.Eugen carried you back to safety with Me and your Schwesters,when everyone was accounted for,we left the Arctic and came here

Berlin:the Sakura Empire base

Z46:yes,Lord Bismarck has ordered our leave once you have enough strength to set sail 

Berlin:so we leave,once I'm able to leave

Z46:yes,Ms.Eugen will be left with her representative team to continue our ties with the Empire but Lord Bismarck seemed quite hasty to leave

Berlin:Schwester is either very worried I'll get into more trouble and more danger while I'm here or she's trying to hide something,either way-

before I could finish what I was saying to Z46,I heard the steps of someone approaching the room as I immediately thought it to be a Sakura Empire messenger or my Schwesters,both of which could be bad for Me and Z46's plans

Berlin:someone's coming this way,cover up for Me

laying straight back down on the mattress I was on,I closed my eyes as Z46 understood what it was I meant and quickly fixed herself to look natural as if she was keeping watch over Me,which I assumed was what she was doing in first place,which is why she was here

the sound of the sliding door opening sounded in my ears as footsteps entered the room,I was waiting for a conversation between Z46 and the person who had arrived,to see who it was that came into the room

as I had guessed prior however,the voice of my Schwester Bismarck entered my ear as she began to ask Z46 a few questions she naturally would ask if I was in the state she knew I was in as she was most likely as worried as Z46 is

Bismarck:Z46

Z46:Lord Bismarck

Bismarck:how is he

Z46:he............he seems to be healing,his breathing is returning to normal but he still isn't showing signs of waking up

Bismarck:I see,continue to keep watch over him for us,ok

Z46:of course,I'll guard him with my life,Lord Bismarck

Bismarck:before I leave,I want to ask you something

Z46:anything,Lord Bismarck

Bismarck:have you and Berlin been doing things here in the empire without our knowledge

Z46:excuse Me??,I........don't quite understand what you mean

Bismarck:before the Mirror Sea battle,Brother had been sneaking out of our room and into the night then returning in the morning,we've tried to follow him but he's slipped past us every time,Graf Zeppelin has reported the same occurence with you,Z46,so be honest,have you two been doing things without Iron Blood's knowledge

I knew Schwester had caught on to Me but I didn't know they had caught onto Z46 as well as I could only hope that Z46 could pull off a believable enough excuse to throw Schwester off her track

Z46:no,I didn't know Sir Berlin was sneaking out at night,I often wake up in the night to watch the stars before returning to sleep but I never encountered or saw Sir Berlin once when I did so

Bismarck:I see,very well then,continue to watch over Brother and let us know once he's awake

Z46:of course,Lord Bismarck

once their conversation ended,I listened to Schwesters footsteps as they left the room,the door closed as I continued to listen as I heard Schwesters steps move away from where we were as I made sure she was decently far enough before I stopped faking my sleep which didn't take long as I sat back up once she was far enough

Berlin:how long have I've been asleep

Z46:h-huh?

Berlin:how long have I been asleep for,Z46

Z46:w-well,since we arrived here,you've been asleep for 5 hours now,it's already 2:00,in total,it's been more than a day since we left the Arctic

Berlin:have you searched the the Nature Park

Z46:I have,there was nothing there 

Berlin:then that means,what we're looking for is definitely in the west part of the docks

Z46:w-why do you ask this so suddenly

Berlin:let's go check it out,this pain I have will disappear in time and my energy is stably returning,let's go check the docks and find the truth between the Sakura Empire and Iron Blood

Z46:a-are you sure,you should still be resting

Berlin:there's no time,Iron Blood has been waiting long enough to get back to base,they'll grow impatient sooner than later,so let's get our things done sooner than that

seeing my point and understanding what I mean,Z46 nodded in agreement as she helped Me up to stand from the mattress and helped Me balance myself out until I could stand and walk on my own,which didn't take long as we then peeked through the door to see if anyone was around before we both quickly exited and made our way to do our investigation

with the battle in the Mirror Sea,over and done with,the Sakura Empire now has enough data in their Black Wisdom Cube to activate whatever the Orochi is,to my dismay and annoyance,Eugen and her team still have not found out what it is or if it is fully Siren related,which is a large problem since a large part of Iron Blood,especially Brother is still unaware of it's nature

I only supplied the resources to create it to keep with the alliance we had with the Sakura Empire but if this Orochi was fully involved with the Sirens,then I would gladly cut our ties before things could become ugly for both sides

though it could prove to be useful and powerful,I doubt Berlin would have half a mind to work with it if it was fully involved with the Sirens and I didn't want to risk him,turning on us,especially when we gave a lot of resources to create it just for it to turn on us

one way or another,taking one side gives us a super weapon but makes us lose the other and I would rather know that our strongest guns are fully on our side and wouldn't turn on us at the simple switch of code or new directives

time was running out however and if I didn't do something soon I'd risk losing Berlin again and losing the Orochi along with him,I needed to get us away from the Sakura Empire until Eugen could figure out what the Orochi really is and before Brother finds out on his own,I dread to imagine what he'll do all of us if he suspects we had a hand and an idea in the creation of the Orochi if it was a Siren weapon

though I worried about all of this,there was nothing more I can do to help buy Eugen time in her investigation,all I could do now was hope that Brother doesn't do anything drastic when he wakes up and to move these thoughts aside as I enter the shrine of the Sakura Empire where the others were already waiting for Me

all high ranking superiors who were in attendance during the Mirror Sea battle was already present as they sat in the area we had talked in before,I sat next to Tirpitz and with my fellow Iron Blood officers as Nagato started off the discussion

Nagato:I am glad you could arrived Bismarck,can we assume that you had went to check on your Brother?

Shinano:how is the little one

Bismarck:Berlin is fine,he's healing well but still hasn't woken up

Jean:gee,I wonder why 

Veneto:Jean,the battle is over,there is no reason to pick fights now

Jean:say what you want,Pasta,I still don't trust the fox after what happened in that Mirror Sea

Akagi:I assure you,the problem was nothing more than unforeseen and unaccounted factors

Jean:unaccounted for or not,you almost costed everyone lives,I should put an HE shell in your head just for that

Bismarck:enough,what's done is done,we're all alive,my Brother is safe and the battle is won

Nagato:agreed,I would also like to personally thank you all for assisting in the battle,I do not believe that we would have emerged victorious if not for your assistance and efforts,you have the Empire's gratitude

Veneto:this is an alliance after all,you can count on us to assist you when you need it

Jean:speak for yourself

Yamato:well,now that the formalities and thank yous are out of the way,let us discuss some future matters

Nagato:yes,now that the Orochi is ready for launch and combat,we will be doing some final check ups on it before sending it out on it's first combat mission,I would like to know what the Empire's allies will be doing in that time

Bismarck:well I have said before,Iron Blood for the time being will be minimizing contact and joint operation with the Sakura Empire,please do not expect the main force of Iron Blood to be assisting the Empire too much,Eugen team will be remain however to continue assisting 

Jean:oh,actually taking a safer route because of your Brother??,worried about him going berserk again or is it that you don't trust the Orochi to not shoot him on sight

Bismarck:if I had to give you answer,the it would be the latter but the other way around

Veneto:now that it is mentioned,what is the Orochi,Ms.Nagato,for the longest time you and the Empire have kept us in the dark about it,after our efforts I believe it is only right for you to shed some light on your secret weapon,that your Empire seems to quite boast a bit

Akagi:I believe actions speak better than words,if you could spare some your time we would not oppose to you joining during the combat test 

Jean:and what,risk ourselves getting sunk when this thing inevitably turns on you

Akagi:I can assure you,Jean Bart,the Orochi is perfectly under our command

Jean:even your own girls don't seem to trust that considering they don't even trust the production models

Akagi:they will come to and see the opening we are making for the Empire 

Nagato:I assume that means that the Vichya Dominion will be occupied with their own problems,but what about the Sardegna Empire

Veneto:I will send someone to watch the testing but I will not be present for the combat test but you still have not answered my question

the Officers of the Sakura Empire turned to their Leader and Shrine Maiden for the answer to Veneto's question as she looked at the Sardegna Leader while contemplating her response as she was the only one who had any power to grant people the permission to learn about their secret weapon

Yamato:Lady Nagato-

Nagato:very well,if you really must know then-

before Nagato could continue to speak,we were all rattled and surprised by the sudden shake of the base and the sound of a large explosion as Yamato was quick to act and head towards the gate as we followed close behind her

she opened the gate with quick haste as we saw smoke rise up in the sky from the west side of the base,more specifically the very side of the base as lots of smoke rose into the atmosphere,signifying that there had to be a very large explosion if it wasn't obvious from the heavy shake that rocked the base 

though everyone was worried,the Officers of the Sakura Empire seemed much more worried than the rest as they looked at the location of the smoke with clear worry and anxiousness,which quickly raised my suspicions along with Eugen's,who seemed to have noticed as well

we all wondered what had happened as we were still processing the sight before us but,Yamato,once again was quick to act she quickly began to run down the base and head for the docks as we quickly followed behind her while we all were left to wonder what had truly happened and why they were so worried

after sneaking out of the guest house and past every Sakura Empire,Iron Blood,Vichya Dominion and Sardegna Empire ship in sight,Me and Z46 made our down the base and towards the docks to search the final area we hadn't checked yet,which was the west die of the docks

there was still a considerable area to search but it was the last place for us to check and if we couldn't find what we were looking for there,then I doubted our chance of finding it ever,though we held hope that we'd find the truth and the Empire's secret in where we were looking,we were still skeptical and we were nervous in what we would find if we did find something

sneaking past the every other ship than us,that was at the docks,we made it to the west side and immediately started searching,we entered warehouse,small buildings,we opened crates that were out of sight,searched the edge of the docks and even entered every restricted area we could find

we were searching for anything,secret passageways,hatches,doors,files,more locations to search,anything in general or anything that could help us find this Orochi weapon that's been hidden away,

searching through the entire area took some time as we realized we had been searching for an hour already and have come up with nothing,we've gone through more than half the area and there was little places where any secret could be kept and we were running out of ideas for search locations

we were almost about to give up on the search until Z46 found a path going past the edge f the docks and going along the side of the base,I went to her to check the path myself and found that it was a wooden path going along the side of the base which is where the rise of the mountain begins,the path extended quite far but I saw that it led into some cave that could be large enough to fit something big,something like a weapon

knowing Z46 might have found what we were looking for,I led the both of us onto the path as we cautiously travelled on the path while keeping an eye out for anything that even remotely looked important as we walked the path that led to a seperate island off the main one

soon enough,we reached the cave as we even more cautiously entered it as I summoned my spear and while Z46 summoned her sword,expecting there to be traps or guards in the area,that might try to stop us or even worse,try to get rid of those who have seen the secret

we moved both swiftly and silently inside the cave,making sure we made no sound in case there was someone inside the cave with us,as we travelled through the cave,we came up on a turn in the path that seemed to lead into the bigger part of the cave as we both peaked our head around the side to see if there was anything to be seen

looking in front of us however,we found that the cave was much larger than we had thought and that there was something very large,seemingly floating on water that entered the bottom part of the cave,we couldn't see it clearly from where we were though 

seeing that there was no one else in the area other than us however,we left our cover to see what the large floating object is only to be met with the terrifying and angering sight of what we had hoped was not true

on the water,a massive floating Siren ship floated in silence and stillness as it's massive size might have even matched or surpassed mine,it had 2 large caliber main guns,multiple auxiliary guns,2 flight decks on the back and a sealed door at the front 

it's presence in the Sakura Empire was a large red flag and told Me and Z46 a lot about the Sakura Empire and it's source of Siren production models and highly suspicious devices,not only that however,it told a lot of what the other factions of Crimson Axis,including Iron Blood have been doing to secure the power they now had

I was suspicious at Schwesters secrecy at first and I didn't want to believe that she or even Iron Blood itself was involved with siding with the Sirens,even now I still didn't want to believe it but with the obvious proof in front of us,there was little for them to deny,all I could do was ask them up front and hope they were telling the truth 

Z46:this-..............I can't believe it

Berlin:no,I refuse to believe it,there's no way they would side with them,they would never,not even if it costed their lives

???:oh yet the proof is in front you,do you really think you can deny the facts-

the sound of voice echoed in the cave as both Me and Z46 looked up into the air with our weapons ready as we could see the origin of the voice along with multiple glowing yellow lines of light,that lowered down from the darkness as we were met face to face with a Siren,specifically,Observer

Observer:the evidence and proof are in front of you,their actions already should tell you more than enough

Berlin:LIAR!!!!,Schwester would never side with you

Observer:and yet they have and here is the fruit of their labor,the labor that came in the form of a Siren made weapon

Z46:don't listen to her Berlin,it has to be a lie,she just trying to trick you

Observer:oh you oblivious girl,unaware of what really was happening,even your Carried friend was in on it,giving her support for a weapon that would bring the destruction she always craves

Z46:no,stop lying

Observer:you may call my word whatever it is you want but the truth will always remain the same,the game was ours to play from the start,those precious Schwesters of your were always pulled by our strings,that is why you were left

pulling the last string,I jumped at Observer with great speed as she primed her cannons and aimed at Me before quickly firing with high precisions,that didn't matter as I deflected the lasers to the walls of the cave,making it shake before I summon my rig and open fire with all my cannons,blasting Observer away despite her blocking the attack as the base and the save shook from the explosion

I landed on the water and quickly gave chase to Observer who was sent flying out of the cave through the large entrance that the Siren ship face while Z46 jumped and landed on the water before following after Me to help in beating Observer

the two of us quickly chased after Observer as the Siren uncovered herself and open fired with her cannons as we both blocked and deflected her attack while closing the distance between us as Me and Z46 hoped to finish the fight quickly before she could call in for help from her Siren allies

she led us away from the cave but it didn't matter as Z46 sped forward and got behind her while I charged straight at her,closing the distance before I swatted her down to the water and right into Z46's torpedoes,which she fired and quickly followed up to as she unsheathed her sword and sliced off two cannon barrels before hitting Observer with the sheath and launching her back towards Me as I fired another salvo knocking her into the water

she rose up from the water,hoping to get some distance only to be met by Z46 who kicked her in the face,knocking her towards Me as I precisely thrusted my spear in between her and her rigging before swatting her away from her rig to separate her from it and into Z46 who sliced her arm off and hit her with her sheath again and back into Me as I grabbed her with my rigging before tossing her body into the air and firing a volley at her and sending her further into the air

signalling Z46,she charged at Me and hopped into air as I launched her into the air with my spear as she quickly followed Observer and smashed her back down to the ocean with a heavy dowards kick,before the Siren could hit the water however,I channeled in my powers over ice and fired a freezing shot,hitting Observer and encasing her inside an iceberg

I fired another volley at the iceberg as I made it break apart to hit Observer before my shots hit the ice as Z46 came back down with incredible speed before Observer could be sent flying as she stabbed her sword into her stomach and brought her back down to the water as Z46 pulled her sword out of the Siren kicked her away before jumping back to get some more distance in case she was still alive after all of that

we looked at the Siren to see if she was still living and to our surprise she was as she lifted her hand up in our direction while we looked at her in confusion,before long however,I quickly moved out of the way at the sense of danger behind Me as Observer's rigging came flying past and quickly moved towards its owner which picked her up and quickly flew into a portal,allowing the High Ranking Siren to escape from our grasp

annoyed from allowing our enemy to escape,I gritted my teeth but quickly turned my attention to the now more important matters as I looked over to the docks of the Sakura Empire and saw many of the Crimson Axis shipgirls looking at Me and Z46,along with them was the officers of the factions

Berlin:Z46

Z46:what is it

Berlin:time to see if your words are true

Z46:huh??

I looked at some of the girls as they seemed to prepare to approach us but before they could,I quickly threw my spear into the side of the docks,it's power quickly activated and spread as a portion of the water around the base froze solid instantly,stopping just before Me and Z46 and stopping the girls on the base from reaching us quickly

panicking and surprised from my actions the girls looked at the expanse of ice in front of them and at Me as Schwester Bismarck and Schwester Tirpitz looked at Me with very worried face while I looked at them with distrust and speculation as i contacted them through my radio to ask them what needed to be said

Bismarck:Berlin!!!,what happened why did you-

Berlin:shut up

Bismarck:B-Berlin

Berlin:what do you know about the Orochi,what does Iron Blood know about the Orochi

Bismarck:Berlin your not making sense,what-

Berlin:ANSWER THE QUESTION!!!

Tirpitz:Berlin,be reasonable we don't know what your talking about

Berlin:I will let you both explain 1 last time,what do you know about the Orochi

Bismarck:....................

Tirpitz:.....................

Berlin:so you won't confirm nor deny it,fine then

cutting the call I saw them both wonder in extreme panic as they looked at me summon another spear into my hand,this time,I threw it into the cave,where the large Siren ship was in as my spear encased the entire cave and the mountain it was in,in ice,sealing all entrances and exits it had as I then turned to Z46 for her answer

Berlin:I need to know your-

Z46:I've told you already Berlin,I'm with you every step of the way,now to forever,that answer will never change

turning back to look at the girls on the base as they panic and wonder what was going on before I looked away while a smile grew on my face,knowing I had someone with Me with this decision as I covered us in ice and moved far away from where the Sakura Empire was,I only hope that Schwesters silence meant the outcome where I don't have to fight her
