after the night of the party,that Iron Blood through for Me,everyone resumed their work to fight against the Azur Lane and the Sirens,Manjuus were at the docks doing final check ups on all of our ships as we were all in the meeting room of the Iron Blood base as Ms.Bismarck and Sister Nagato had something very important to discuss,apparently something had happened back at the Sakura Empire while we were gone,something very bad

Gneisenau:Lord Bismarck,what is the purpose of this meeting

Bismarck:we'll get straight to the point,a day ago,the Sakura Empire was infiltrated by Royal Navy spies-

Nagato:they were found out by Kawakaze but they evaded capture and ran,they saw the secret project of the Sakura Empire,so they cannot be let off so easily

Eugen:this does not seem all to problematic

Bismarck:on the surface,that may be the case but the problem isn't that,because it doesn't end there

Nagaro:what else happened back in the Sakura Empire and what secret weapon

Nagato:the secret weapon is what will let us win this war as for what happened,the key to the weapon has been stolen by the enemy

Akagi:they have the Black Wisdom Cube!!!!!!!!

Nagaro(mind):Black Wisdom Cube???,Siren technology???

Nagato:yes,they escaped to an abandoned and ruined city,noth of the Iron Blood base,multiple task forces have been dispatched to retrieve the cube but finding them in the city is difficult due the the city's size

Bismarck:in response to this,Iron Blood will aid Sakura Empire in the retrieval of the Cube,Me,Schwester,Zeppelin,Eugen,Hipper and Nimi will go as Task Force 1 while Spee,Deustchland,Friedrich,Roon,Z46 and Z1 will go as Task Force 2 while all available members of the Wolfpack will also join in the battle

Nagato:all Sakura Empire ships here will go to retrieve the Cube as well,all except Brother

Nagaro:Sister,why will I not go

Bismarck:from some reports of the Sakura Empire Carriers at the ruins,Azur Lane had mobilized a rescue force consisting of 2 waves of fleets

Nagato:brother,you will stop the second wave from reaching the ruins while we recover the cube and stop the first force

Yamato:Lady Nagato,you cannot possibly send him off on his own

Nagato:we have no choice Yamato,recovering the key to Project Orochi must be our main focus,the second fleet mostly consists of light cruisers and Destroyers as the reports say,that Azur Lane hopes to drag out the fight with aircraft,until they can extract their allies from the ruins

Bismarck:if the intel is true,then we must prevent the second fleet from arriving at the ruins,or else it would be a battle against time for us

Musashi:but Lady Nagato,sending him alone,we should at least give him a small escort

Nagato:we cannot send some ships with him,we need everyone at the Ruins to fight against the first fleet,as they say it's made of the 1st and 2nd Eagle and Royal Fleet,we cannot risk our position at the ruins due to them,so we need as many people there as possible

Kaga:but sending a lone Battleship against an entire fleet is near suicide Lady Nagato,surely we can at least spare some ships

Akagi:Kaga-nee is right Lady Nagato,losing Sir Nagaro would be a heavier loss than losing the Orochi

Amagi:I'm sorry you 2 but Lady Nagato is right,without the Orochi,the Empire would have wasted to much resources  and energy on it,we cannot let it go to waste

Mutsu:Sister,surely-

Nagato:Brother,how confident are you in fighting a greater force than you

Nagaro:my blade is at the Empire's service,whether they have greater numbers or not,I shall cut them down,whether I have allies with Me or not,I shall fight to the last shell

I looked at Sister with an unwavering determination,telling her,that I would gladly lay my life down for the Empire I swore to protect,yet underneath this determination,there was an aching thirst for the truth,that I wanted to quench,I wanted to know what the real reason behind this war was as the only lead I had was the story that the Azur Lane told Me but there was more to it,than that,I just knew it and the answers laid with the Crimson Axis

Sister Nagato nodded at my unwavering spirit as both She and Ms.Bismarck gave the order to prepare as we all left the meeting room,I went straight to the docks and to the top of my ship,as I wanted to ponder about the reasoning for this war in peace

in the meeting,I could tell Sister was adamant about not letting Me go to the ruins but it yet another mystery as I had no idea,why she didn't want Me at the ruins,she has kept many things from Me,but why,why is the only thing I could tell myself as I wondered about the reasoning for everyone to hide so many secrets from Me

even the Iron Blood seemed to know more about the Sakura Empire's plans,more than Me,they kept their own secrets from us yet they knew some of ours,everything just didn't make sense,nothing added up,there were so many missing pieces to the puzzle,that I just can't make sense of any of it,if I wanted to get answers then I had only 2 places to go to,I need to confront Sister nagato about these secrets or,I could go to Azur Lane for the answers I'm seeking

my train of thoughts,was interrupted however as I heard someone calling my name,I looked down to the docks and saw Sister Nagato,looking up to Me from the docks,she was calling Me to come down from my ship,so I did as I stood up and jumped off the top of my ship and landed next to her on the docks

Nagaro:you called Me Sister

Nagato:yes,I wanted to make sure,your ready

Nagaro:I am already prepared,no need to worry about Me

Nagato:that's why Me and Mutsu worry about you,please be careful in you combat with Azur Lane,we cannot lend you support this time

Nagaro;I will be fine Sister,I have recovered from my injuries and my ship in top shape again

Nagato:very well then,I do have to ask you as well

Nagaro:what is it Sister

Nagato;when you were captured by Azur Lane,did they do anything to you,did they hurt or anything of the sort

Nagaro:no,they only held Me prisoner and questioned Me,that was it

Nagato:did they tell you anything,anything at all

Nagaro:no nothing useful or anything like it

Nagato:I see,very well then,again,please be careful in your fight with them,it hurts Me and Mutsu just as mch,seeing you in a terrible state

Nagaro:of course Sister,be careful at the ruins as well

Nagato:we will

Sister then left,leaving Me alone at my ship as sighed at myself,I wanted to ask her about the secret project but I couldn't bring myself to do it,something told Me,that she would just avoid the question or ignore it,I can't think of a way to talk to her about it,but I wanted answers to my questions,and I wouldn't get them by standing around

I jumped on to my ship as all I could do now was wait for everyone to finish their preparation

when everyone finished their preparations we all left the base with Sister Nagato leading the force,while Me and Sister Mutsu surfed by her side,everyone was ready for a massive fight as we came at our peak strength,although that was a while ago as I was currently sailing by myself,after splitting up from the group to intercept the second fleet of Azur Lane

I had already snuck bby the first fleet without much problem as I even took a shot at them after I was far away from them as I saw them start to panic,due to a single HE shell landing in the middle of their formation,I got a good chuckle out of it before sailing away from them as I continued my search for the 2nd fleet

after a few minutes,I finally found them,there were definitely more of them as they outnumbered Me 40 to 1,but that wasn't a problem,what worried Me is,that there were Battleships and Carriers,along side the number of Destroyers and Cruisers,there weren't supposed to be any Carriers or Battleships but I had a mission to do,so there was no turning back

I used my superior range to my advantage as I started firing salvo's into the sky as I attempted to repeat the same attack I did at the Azur Lane base,shells rained down on my enemies,completely catching them off guard and making disperse,I continued to abuse my superior range as I shelled the enemy from afar,not having to worry about any attacks getting to Me,due to the enemies lack of sufficient range, on Me

but I quickly ate my words as 2 AP shells flew past my head,nearly taking my head clean off,I looked to the enemy and realize,that within their ranks,was the Royal Navy's,Warspite,she fired another salvo of AP shells at me as I met it with my own salvo,both side's shells collided and created a small smoke screen,blocking my view of them,all of a sudden,multiple aircraft flew through the smoke and charged at Me,firing their machine guns as a hail bullets flew towards Me,I blocked the storm of projectiles and cut down each planes as it passed by Me,I then blocked a number of yellow arrows,I looked over and saw the Carrier,Enterprise,flying on top of her planes in the air

I fired a salvo at her then jumped back,dodging another salvo from Warspite,my salvo missed Enterprise as she fired more arrows at Me,I quickly blocked each one but I failed to realize,that another Battleship had fired at Me,2 shells hit but I was able to dodge the other 2 in the nick of time,I look over and saw,what i assumed to be Sisters,King George V and Prince of Wales,aiming their cannons at Me,they all had slowly closed the distance while I was distracted with Enterprise and Warspite,they fired another Salvo at Me as I was about to dodge but Warspite charged Me and was going to strike Me down,I blocked her with my Katana and grabbed her as I moved her in front of Me while I jumped back,she would have been hit by the salvo of her allies but she was quick to move out of the way,bombers then flew over head as they dropped bombs over and around Me while I did my best to dodge each one

when the bombs stopped falling,shells landed around Me as as I summoned some black fireballs  and created a wall to protect myself,the shells melted on impact with the flames as I fired back with own salvo's,not a single one hit as my enemies were all moving to much to land a single hit,the Destroyers and Cruisers surrounded Me and fired their torpedoes and salvos at Me but I destroyed the torpedoes by firing my auxiliary guns into the water while I blocked the incoming shots,I retaliated by firing my fireballs at them  but as soon as I did,warspite closed the distance and almost took my head off with her sword,if not for my reflex,I would have surely perished

I kicked warspite in the knee,making her kneel as I swiped her sword away before kicking her in the chest,launching her back,but then a bomb fell right next to Me as it exploded and sent Me backwards a few meters as well and knocking me down,before I could eve get up,I see more shells flying towards Me from the sky,so I flip myself up and jump back,evading the shells completely,only to jump into a wave of torpedoes from a Destroyer,who was behind Me,the torpedoes exploded and knocked Me down again but I quickly got back up and jumped back again to dodge another salvo from King George V

I turned around and fired at a random Cruiser,who was going to attack Me from the back as my salvo decimated her rig on impact,I then fired a few salvo's in the air,then block a swing from Prince of Wales as I move her blade to the side and jump up as I punched her in the face,she skid back a few meters back as she wiped her mouth,I landed back on to the water,only to be met by Warspite and King George V with their swords at the ready,I block both of them as we held a lock on our weapons but they slowly overpowered Me,I then saw a few yellow arrows from Enterprise fly towards us from the side,so I push them back as I kick Warspite in the knee again,then punch her away,then I kicked King George V in the side of the stomach as I moved her enough to be hit by the arrows

she got hit by 3 of 4 arrows as she cried in pain while I kick her in the stomach,making her crunch over as I then connected my knee with her face,making her look to the sky,I then jumped on to her and then jumped off her as I fired my cannons in the air at her,destroying her rig completely,I landed on the water and threw my sword in front of Enterprises plane as my katana destroyed the plane,Enterprise jumped off her plane and was going to land on the water but I had already moved in front of her as I aerial kicked her in the neck,smashing her down on the water,I grabbed my sword from the plane and blocked a swing from Warspite,I was going to push her back but she broke the lock as another girls came from behind her,charging at Me while carrying some kind of cannon,she was going to bash with,so I side stepped her and made her trip as she was going to fall on the water but I stopped her as I grabbed her leg before she hit the water,I then flipped her over M and smashed her down on the water,before destroying her rig with a salvo

I then blocked a number of arrows from Enterprise,who fired from the side,before blocking another swing from Warspite,at this point,my movement was getting sluggish and slow and my enemies knew this,I was tired and there were still so many of them,including Enterprise and Warspite,said Battleship was starting to overpower Me as I did my best to maintain my strength,I couldn't let myself be defeated here,if they get to the ruins it would endanger Sister and the others greatly,so I couldn't lose here

I mustered any ounce of strength I could as I pushed Warspite back,I charged at her as I swung for her head but she blocked it,just barely,I chopped her wrist with my hand,making her let go of her sword as I swung my katana at her sword,I shattered half her blade as her sword fell onto the water,I then sliced her cannons,cleanly in half,as they fell off her rig,I then punched her in the gut ,ending her back a few meters and knocking her down,I was giving it everything I had to not collapse as I blocked more arrows from Enterprise and more shells from the Cruisers and Destroyers,I needed to finish this NOW

I fired more fireballs at Enterprise as she fired her arrows at them but the fireballs stopped midair and melted the arrows,then circled Enterprise,not giving her any space to move,the fireballs disappeared due to my lack of energy but they had served their purpose as I made it behind Enterprise,she turned around to see Me with blade up as she positioned her bow in front of her,she blocked with her bow but it was futile as my katan cut clean through it,she was shocked that her bow broke as her eyes glowed gold but I didn't let her do anything else as I punched her in the stomach with as much strength as I could muster up,the punch sent flying into her allies as I used the last of strength to fire a barrage,I summoned some cannon platforms but due to my lack of energy,only 2 extra appeared as I bombarded the enemy with as many shells as I could,expending all my energy into that last attack,the cannon platforms disappeared as smoke covered the enemy,when the smoke cleared it revealed,that all remaining targets had been downed,with their rigs,almost non existent

after seeing my attacks effect,I let my fatigue get to Me as I collapsed onto the water,I could barely move but I was awake,I could let myslef pass out,it wasn't an option to Me nor was it an option I would take,I once again pushed myself as I summoned any strength in my body to get up,miraculously I managed to get on my feet with the support of my sword as I look at my enemies,they slowly tried to pick themselves up as slowly moved along,in this case,neither side was combat capable but I could probably still fire my cannons at least enough times to finish them off

I  slowly walk towards them as they all turned their head to face Me,an expression of fear filled the faces of the Cruisers and  Destroyers while an expression of anger and weakness was plastered on the faces of Enterprise,Warspite,King George V and Prince of Wales,they clearly did not expect Me to win but honestly,neither did I

KGV:how*pant*-how did you beat us*pant,it shouldn't be possible

Nagaro:to*pant*tell  you*pant*the truth,*sigh*I don't know either

Warspite:well,- you won*pant*finish the job

before I could say anything else,my radio kicked up as a voice came through,it was Sister Nagato's voice,accompanied by the loud booming sounds of cannon fire and loud engines of aircraft

Nagato:Brother,how is the situation with the second fleet 

I looked at my opponents as they clearly hear my Sister's voice,they awaited my response with acceptance of their fate as i thought of what to answer,then I gave Sister my response

Nagaro:I-*pant*I've*pant*beaten back the second fleet*pant*but they escaped and got away

my opponents had very surprised and questioning faces as I gave my response while they questioned my answer

Nagato:I see,are you alright,are you hurt

Nagaro:I'm ok,I'll head to the ruins as soon as I can

Nagato:I see,alright,we'll see you here,stay safe Brother

Nagaro:you too Sister

the call cut as i looked at my opponents once again,who still had a questioning expression on their face,I turned away from them and slowly surfed away as Warspite called Me,even though it was weak

Warspite:hey,why did you tell her that

Nagaro:tell her what

Warspite:why did you lie to you Sister

Nagaro:...................I never wanted a fight,all I wanted was some answers but-,I can't get answers without a fight

I looked back to all of them as I faced them with a neutral expression,showing no hostility nor friendliness

Nagaro:go-,to any of you,who can stand,take everyone return to your base

Enterprise:where are you going

Nagaro:I'm going to the ruins to help the Empire

King:why won't you just finish us

Nagaro:I've already told you once,I will not repeat myself,so now,Go-,before I change my mind

the few who could stand,stood up and helped everyone move as they all left the area slowly,I looked back and started surfing towards the island at incredibly slow pace as I had nothing left to give but I had to get to the ruins to help,so I pushed myself even farther and forced myself to go faster as I picked up some speed and surfed towards the ruin

we had been contesting the city for awhile now as both Sakura Empire and Iron Blood held the line against the Azur Lane's 1st and 2nd,Eagle and Royal fleet,Brother already told Me,that he had beaten the follow up fleet amd was on his way here,I just hoped,that he was alright and not too hurt from his fight

I stayed behind our Vanguard as Task Force "Swirling Cherry Blossom" led an offensive on the right side of the enemy while Iron Blood attacked from the left,I fired off a salvo at the heart of the enemies formation,in hopes of breaking them up and dispersing them but they refused to move from their position

Yamato:Lady Nagato,"Swirling Cherry Blossom" can't advance any further,than they have,Azur Lane's Battleships are making it impossible to move closer

Nagato:what about Iron Blood

Shinano:their in the same situation Lady Nagato,and our planes can't cross the defensive line to target the Battleships and Carriers

Akagi:their Cruisers have so much AA,our planes are getting torn apart

Kaga:at this rate,we'll be here for days

Amagi:don't let up,Sir Nagaro has already cleared the the second fleet,we just need to break their formation

Musashi:we should focus our fire on their AA cruisers,Seattle is on the right side,the "Knights of the Sea" are on the left,and the red haired one is in the middle

Nagato:if we can bring them down,then some of our planes should be able to get through?

Yamato:yes,getting rid of a few of them should do it

Nagato:then leave it to Me

I fired my salvo then followed up my full barrage as I fired a devastating amount of shells,aimed at the center of their formation,the barrage completely split their forces in half,due to them being forced to dodge the barrage,but I did manage to destroy the rig of the red haired cruiser as she layed on the water,Kaga,Akagi and Shinano took the opportunity and launched their bombers and fighters our planes filled the skies in mass quantities,bombs dropped on the enemy,gave suppressing fire for out task force and Iron Blood to advance as they quickly closed the distance and opened fire

Azur Lane dispersed and went into open combat as their ships spreaded out and engaged in combat with us,the 2 infiltrators,who have the cube were still not found but are hunted by Iron Bloods second Task Force,within the city,wherever they are,they won't make it back to see their fleets 

before we knew it,Zuikaku and Shoukaku reported that they found them being escorted through the city by the Eagle Union's Task Force 6 and the Royal Navy's Royal Maid Corps,I quickly gave the order to hunt them down as the report was broadcasted to everyone on the field,Akagi and Kaga hopped onto their planes and took to the skies but were quickly shot down by the Eagle union's,Seattle as she fired at them with her guns but the shots were quickly deflected by Takao and Atago,who came to the 2 Carriers rescue,the 2 Heavy Cruisers,charged at Seattle as she backed up and fired at them with her guns,all the while,Akagi and Kaga entered the city to retrieve the cube with Musashi behind them

then things were starting to turn for the worse,Iron Blood couldn't compete with the eagle union's airpower,nor could their Battleships face the Eagle Union's,Georgia head on in a fight,Task Force "Swirling Cherry Blossom" was having difficulty,combating the Royal Navy's Cruisers and Destroyers,all the while,the Illustrious Class of Carriers from the Royal Navy,were filling the skies with fighters,helping the Eagle Union gain air dominance

Mutsu:Sister,thisisn't looking good

Nagato:we just need to hold out,until we retrieve the Black Cube 

Yamato:I'm not sure if we'll last that long lady nagato,Georgia is starting to push the Iron Blood back and I've taken a number of hits from her already

Nagato:Shinano,can you keep your planes focus on Georgia

Shinano:negative Lady Nagato,there's to much AA near her,it simply won't work

I cursed this sudden turn of events as our enemy slowly pushed us Back,Iron Blood regoruped with us as Gerogia continued to bombard our position with her salvo's but this fight is filled with it's highs and lows as the tides of the battle suddenly change into out favor,High Explosive shells rained from the sky while loud cannon fire could be heard in the distance,completely counter bombarding Azur Lane and putting a stop to Gerogia's attacks,it was clear to everyone,as to who it was but he was no where in sight,most likly somewhere within the city

using his aid as a spring board,we mounted a counter attack against Azur Lane as the rian of shells broke 3 out of the 4 cannons,Georgia had,we fired everything we had at them while they did the same,fighters and bombers filled the sky,shells flew by each other,some even colliding with one another,casuing massive explosion,it was a very big trade of atacks but we were slowly getting the upper hand,we could finally end this battle but disaster struck again,the Royal Navy's,Rodney,who was completely unharmed and undamaged aimed all of her cannons at Sister Mutsu and fired,I tried to warn Sister but she reacted to late,there was no time for her to dodge the salvo,she would have died from the attack but the salvo itself was stopped by another salvo,fired from the side,the loud boom of the cannon echoed through the Battlefield,everyone turned their heads and saw Brother leaning his arm against the wall of one of the broken buildings,he was completely battered,his cothes were tattered and singed,bruises,cuts and wound,were all over his body,blood dripped down his fingers and his head,he was barely keeping consciousness as his ears were down and his tails made no motion,before anything else happened,he collapsed onto the water as he laid on the water,motionless

Georgia was the first to snap out of her dazed state as she quickly aimed her guns at brother,the moving of her guns snapped everyone out of their dazed state as she fired a whole salvo from her remaining cannon,Crimson axis watched as the salvo would have most definitely killed brother but I was wrong,when I said,that Georgia was the first to snap out of her dazed state

Kasumi,appeared from nowhere and picked up brother by his arm and vanished,completely making the salvo miss,Kasumi apppeared again,this time a good distnace away from her previous position as Georgia aimed at her again,she was clealry determined to kill Brother so I aimed my cannons at her and prepared to fire but I was beat to it by Yamato as she fired all her cannons at Georgia,the blast from the shells sent Georgia flying into a wall and knocking her out,Iron Blood quickly acted on the situation but Royal Navy deployed a veyr thick and large smokescreen,when the smoke cleared,they were all gone,not a single one left behind

with the threats gone everysighed in relief while some fell to their knees due to tiredness,Kasumi surfed towards Me with brother in her care as I told her to lay him down on my ship,so I summoned my ship and told everyone to gt on,so we could all rest,Kasumi laid down Brother on my deck as I examined his condition,he was very badly,beaten up as dropped dripped down his hand from his arm,clothes were never worse than this and his breathing was incredibly heavy

Nagato(mind):what were you thinking Nagato,sending him to fight a fleet alone,I'm such a fool

before I could think of anything else,I felt my hand be held by kasumi a she looked at Me with very sincer eyes

Kasumi:he would not like it,if you think about such things,what matters is,that he's alive and is here

Nagato:I let my judgement be clouded and I placed him in great danger,I'm such a fool

Nagaro:none-,..sense

Iwe both looked at brother as he spoke in a very weak voice,his ears perked upas he smiled at Me,his tail gently but weakly rubbed my head 

NagaroYour-,....not a-,...fool-,.......Sister

Nagato:Brother,save your strength,

Kasumi:Sir nagaro.please save your strngth,your too weak right now

Nagaro:Sis-ter

Nagato:what is it brother,do you need anything,anything at all

his smiled quickly receeded andwas swapped out with a frown as a shadow covered his eyes,a unsettling feeling crawled up my back as I looked at Brother

Nagaro:Sister-,..........I know-,.........what-,....you hid-,..................from Me

Author:hey guys,I hope you enjoyed this Chapter,it's a bit shorter than the usual chapters I have since I usually have around 5-7k words but this one is only 4.5k words so,meh and the ending was kinda rushed cuz my hands were hurting so forgive Me,but apart from that,I hope you all enjoyed the chapter and look forwards to the next one,until next time
