Nagaro slowly stood back up, his eyes lacking a signature shine as he slowly looked back towards the remaining combatants of the Sakura Empire. he looked at the palm of his hand as his moved his fingers and limbered up the rest of his joints before summoning his sword to his hand 

Observer cackled, their experiment having gone horribly wrong had produced a greater outcome than they could ever imagine. for the first time, the Sirens could witness a Calamity take full control and exert themselves far beyond what they could or have done before as she observed the heat in the area begin to rise, boiling the ocean as bubbles and steam began to form

Nagaro?:Assimilation at 71%, host resistance is minimal, body control is sluggish but manageable, current maximum power output is no greater than 45% without risk. assessment, further assimilation required for better success. minimal threats in area detected, beginning Cleansing Protocol, Cleanser active

Nagato and Mutsu looked with dread, they didn't understand what the boy in front of them was spouting about but it was clear to them that whoever was talking was not their Brother and they would not be leaving without a fight as readied themselves for a fight that they were unlikely to win

the water beneath them all began to bubble and boil as a layer of mist steam began to rise. The temperature steadily rose as Nagaro? took his stance and readied himself to make the first move while what remained of the capable fighters of the Sakura Empire stood their ground for an attempt of survival

seeing the battle about to brew, the Sirens backed off, knowing full well that they will not be able to escape the crossfire once the battle began as they portalled away to watch from a very far but safe distance. 

Nagaro?:your resistance is futile, lay down your weapons, kneel and accept your transformation to ashes, there will be no exceptions 

Nagato:one who surrenders to circumstances is not allowed to stand while those who cross it are allowed to move forward. whether resistance is futile or not is not for you to decide 

Nagaro?:to slay Me, you must slay this body and to slay this body is to slay him, are you ready

Mutsu:.....

Nagato:I have made a lot of mistakes, putting you down will not be one of them. letting him ascend to the heaven peacefully and freeing him from you, shall be my last gift to him as his Sister......... no matter how terrible I was at it

Nagaro?:...........your sentiments fall on deaf ears, your wishes do not reach it's target and the cries of a failed sibling will not deter my goal

Nagato:you-

Nagaro?:enough idle chatter, you will all be cleansed 

in a matter of seconds, Nagaro? closed the distance, bridging the gap between him and Nagato in an instant as he swung his flaming sword. the strike would have been fatal had it landed but it was blocked by a quick and annoyed Mutsu, who pushed him back using what energy she had left as she worked off of the adrenaline before taking the initiative to fight him head on, much to Nagato's protests

Mutsu rushed in, her speed hampered by her wounds and her strength fleeting but her determination remaining undeterred as she lifted her sword and struck at Nagaro? who easily blocked her attack before firing her cannons at his legs which forced him to back off, giving the Battleship girl some leverage to push her offensive

Mutsu was backed up by Nagato as the Sakura Empire's leader fired her cannons at the enemy, not directly targeting the boy but bombarding the area around him, limiting his movement as Mutsu clashed blades with Nagaro?, the force of their swings causing small waves to form at their sides

The rest of the combat capable Sakura Empire ships watched with split opinions as 2 of their leaders fought an unbeatable foe. they knew their chance of victory was slim to none and death was endured in defeat but nevertheless, 1 by 1 they each began to raise their cannons as they fired at Nagaro?, hoping to do some or any kind of damage against the unbeatable opponent

Nagaro? on the other hand continued to play with his food, taking his time to become accustomed to the body he now has as he played with swords with Mutsu. although he felt sluggish and slow, it wasn't something to would hinder him too much, especially not against such weak opponents as he easily blocked Mutsu's attacks and moved around to get use to the body

Nagato watched with hidden gritted teeth at her Sister's futile attacks as she easily guessed that Nagaro? was playing with them. there was no way for them to win against such an opponent, even if the whole Sakura Empire was at their peak, they would have no chance at victory. the least they could do is die fighting, die hoping

Blocking another strike, Nagaro? held Mutsu at parody, keeping her locked and still as his flames melted away the incoming shots that were fired at him. he looked into Mutsu's eyes and saw her emotions. a determination that was unwavering like the biggest fired that could smolder the world but also tiredness like water that could drown the world

he looked down and saw her slightly shaky hands, a clear sign of her body wavering but the look in her eyes showed that her mind was not the same. Nagaro? looked at the girl before him with a changed expression, going from neutral to soft while discreetly threatening to push her back with a slight move of his hand, which did not go unnoticed by the weakened Battleship Girl

Nagaro?:.....

Mutsu:..... grrr..... what, got something to say?!?!

Nagaro?:......... your tired........ why not rest, Sister

Mutsu's eyes widened, she mellowed, she softened. in a split second, she wavered and was quickly going to be punished for it as Nagaro? quickly tried to make his move but Mutsu was quick to recover as she gritted her teeth and refocused and beat him to draw as she pushed him slightly instead, taking the boy aback a bit as they continued their lock while shells melted around them

Mutsu:Bastard!!!

Nagaro?:one word was all it took to make you waver..... are you really strong as I've heard you to be

Mutsu:I'm still standing against you aren't I

Nagaro?:only because I've allowed you to stand. If I wanted to, you would already be dead

Mutsu:then have it be so, Faker

Nagaro?:if I could have my way with all of you, I could have done it from the beginning but your pesky nuisance of a Brother puts it out my of reach

Mutsu:Nagaro!?

Nagaro?:he is weak, unworthy of my power but he continues to be a pest. so let Me make it clear to all of you, since he persists as a useless insect, he shall suffer

Mutsu:What are you talking about!!!

Nagaro?:hehehehe, although he is weak his mind is quite durable, I'll break him and take this body by showing him the death of all of you

Nagaro? swung his sword, breaking the lock between him and Mutsu as the flames that protected him previously were now quickly shot towards the girl, who moved to dodge as she evaded the flames that crashed into the water

While Mutsu evaded, Nagato and the others continued to support with shell bombardment that did little to nothing but earn a few glances from Nagaro? as their attacks harmlessly melt away from the intense heat of his flames

keeping up the pressure on his opponent, Nagaro? created walls fire that moved quickly to surround Mutsu who was quick to understand his intentions as she turned her back to her opponent and ran, focusing on evading the fire walls that slithered above the waves like snakes

seeing that his opponent was now neglecting her allies, Nagaro? turned his attention to the rest of the Sakura Empire and Nagato. without the strength to continue fighting up close, their only ability to provide aid was to futilely continue their bombardment which had no effect on Nagaro? who simply watched their futile actions in disinterest

knowing that Mutsu would be too pre-occupied with herself, Nagaro? began to move towards the weakened fleet, their attacks still having no effect on the boy as he walked closer. seeing the unbeatable opponent approach them, Nagato and the girl could only grimace and continue firing at him, knowing it was all they could do to even slightly hold him off as he got closer and closer

as he raised his blade at the group of Shipgirls, Mutsu came, jumping through the wall of fire, singeing her clothes and burning her skin as she wore a painful and angry expression while firing her cannons with near pin point accuracy, catching Nagaro? off guard as he quickly diverted his blade to deflect the shots, only for both arms to go limp in a split of a second, leaving himself defenseless as Mutsu's shots hit their mark and leave Nagaro? staggered

not giving up the opening, Mutsu charged Nagaro? while he was dazed and open with a gut wrenching yell as she jumped at the boy with her sword overhead, her face wearing a look of pure killing intent that brought worry even to Nagaro? who found his legs stiffening as he barely manages to evade the powerful strike from Mutsu

finding the body he's using to be a bit more stiff and immobile, Nagaro? is forced onto the defensive as Mutsu gave chase, swinging her sword at the boy, each attack possibly being fatal if he was just a bit slower as he barely dodges her strikes

with his movement limited, Nagaro? resorts to his only advantage as he summons his fired again and send them forward at Mutsu, hoping to create some distance between him and his pursuer, only for it to miserably fail as Mutsu gives up her concerns for herself and blocks a fireball directly with her hand as it engulfs her arm in in the inextinguishable flame, all for a chance for a good strike as she plunges her sword into Nagaro?

he strike hits true and would have been fatal had Nagaro? not offset the strike with his hand as he holds onto Mutsu's sword by the blade, acknowledging that his defeat was quite close as his arms and legs begin to come back into his control

with her arm rapidly burning away, Mutsu pushed her sword forward harder, hoping to at least deal a fatal blow before she inevitably died but seeing her opponents senses coming back to him, her hope dwindled away as he began to slow push the sword away

in a turn of fate however, Mutsu felt like the heavens of the Empire truly smiled down on her as the flame that was consuming her ceased, the blade she held was slowly being pushed towards him again as Nagaro?'s strength and grip on the blade slowly but surely loosened

taking the opportunity, she had, Mutsu gave it everything she had left as she raised her other hand and swung for the fences, striking Nagaro? straight to the face and staggering him as he lost his grip on the blade and letting Mutsu push the sword deep into him and landing a fatal blow

in exchange for this strike, Mutsu suffered as Nagaro? regained control over the body and ran his sword through Mutsu. the blade pierced straight through her chest as she lost her grip on her weapon and wobbly stepped back to see her Brother's blade through her chest 

Nagato and the others could only watch in horror as Mutsu struggles to stand upright as Nagaro? pulled Mutsu's blade out from his midsection and looked at the girl as she struggled and clung to life, all before the blade in her ignited, incinerating her from the inside out as her body turned to ashes in an instant, not even giving the chance for her to scream as the fire continued to burn her completely charred body that fell over in the wind and broke apart in the water, leaving only a gray seemingly lifeless Wisdom Cube left at where her body was 

Nagaro?:foolish girl, you almost had Me, your coordination with this damn pest inside is quite remarkable... but in the end, your Cleansed anyway

tears fell from Nagato's eyes as the charred corpse of her Sister broke apart in the water, still burning in the white flames that consumed her as Nagaro? looked at the cube with an almost impressed smile on his face

turning his head to the remaining Sakura Empire girls, Nagaro? froze as his body came to a dead stop before some of the white color in his hair and tails regressed back into it's much more known black color

seemingly no longer in full control of the body, Nagaro? fell onto one knee as his right arm stretched out to reach for the gray cube left by Mutsu. shakily and gently taking into his hand, Nagaro? turned his head to look at the cube, a tear rolling down on one side of his face from one eye 

Nagaro?:damn pest, I'm growing tired of your constant interference 

Nagaro:.....

taking the cube in his hand, Nagaro? tosses it towards the Sakura Empire girls as it splashes onto the water in front of Nagato before resurfacing and floating. now taking it into her hands, Nagato held the cube, tears streamlining down her face as she gains an expression of new found resolve

as Nagato tucked the cube away into her sleeves, Nagaro? stood back up, the black color in his hair and tails once again being covered by the white as he turned his gaze to the Sakura Empire who watched as their leader stood straight with a stern face

Nagato:unforgivable

Nagaro?:no one here is seeking your forgiveness

Nagato:I will see to it that you will

Nagaro?:with what strength? your only capable fighter is now dead

Nagato:it is true that we no longer have strength to contend with you-

Nagato looked up to skies as the sound of aircraft approached rapidly, catching even Nagaro?'s attention as he turned to see the large amount of planes in bound for their position armed with their bombs and guns

Nagato:but they might

the aircraft flew with the colors of Azur Lane as they began to dive towards Nagaro?, starting their strafing and bombing runs as a storm of bullets and bombs came hurling towards the boy. unimpressed, Nagaro? swiped his sword at the air, releasing a wave of extreme heat as he melted the bullets and detonated the bombs in front of him

following quickly behind, a storm of shells came flying towards him as he stepped back and dodged to look over to the horizon and see Azur Lane's fleet. though not at full strength or full numbers, Nagaro? scowled as he identified a new bigger threat that could actually do some damage to him in his current state

knowing that their shells and bombs were unlikely to hit him, Azur Lane sailed forward, joining the fray at near close quarters as Enterprise rode in on one of her planes, spearheading the attack as she fired her arrows at the boy 

seeing the fast moving projectiles coming at him, Nagaro? raised his blade and quickly began blocking the arrows as he dodged shells at the same time. acknowledging the disparity in numbers, he backs off from the close fight and aim his guns as he peppers the battlefield with shells of his own, raining down explosive hell that Azur Lane does their best to avoid

as the battle between the worlds defenders and a corrupted powerhouse ensued, a detachment of Azur Lane's forces arrived to take away the present Sakura Empire ships to somewhere more safe but much to their dismay, not single one allowed themselves to be taken, standing by their leaders side as they fired their cannons in an attempt to do whatever they could to help bring down Nagaro?

Nagaro? on the other hand, getting tired of the many pests in front of him, raised more walls of fire, sectioning of quadrants of the battlefield and splitting up Azur Lane and it's forces while he took a quick breather and reassesses the situation

unfortunately for him, Azur Lane had seen this tactic before as the Carriers hopped on on their aircraft and took to the skies and relaying info through and to the Cruisers and Battleships, becoming their eyes as they continued their bombardment 

seeing the shells coming from the sky, Nagaro? gritted his teeth. the pests continued to pester him as he summoned a layer of fireballs above him, the heat melting and detonating the shells before they could reach him but as he defended from the shells, he took notice and narrowly dodged an arrow that whizzed by the front of his face 

turning his attention to the white haired Carrier in the sky, Nagaro aimed his guns at his new target, who quickly saw what he was doing and moved to make his efforts problematic as her aircraft dove and weaved to throw Nagaro's aim off

not understanding why she would fly in such a strange pattern against him, Nagaro peppered the sky in front of him with shells and fireballs, leaving no room for movement as Enterprise hastily jumped off her aircraft and landed on the water before firing more shots at Nagaro

seeing the Carrier alone and without support, Nagaro charged forward to quickly remove the threat as Enterprise moved backwards, trying to maintain distance from her opponent as she fired her shots at Nagaro, hoping to land a hit of any kind as he quickly moved towards her

Enterprise's aircraft repeatedly dived and strafed Nagaro? trying to keep the attacker off their Carrier as Enterprise herself shot her arrows at the far nimbler Nagaro? as he eventually closed the gap between the two of them and was now in striking distance

now in the close in fight, Nagaro swung his sword, a confident smile making it's way onto his face, as Enterprise desperately dodged his attacks. each swing from his blade, grazing her. although he was fast, he was not as fast nor was he as refined as she remembered him to be as she narrowly dodged another strike but as she knew little of what happened between his and Kasumi's fight against the Sakura Empire, she could only work to subdue the threat they had in front of them as she dodged another strike

Nagaro?:you run quickly for a Carrier

Enterprise:your swings are pretty sloppy for an Elite of the Sakura Empire

Nagaro?:do you think, your arrival here will change anything. do you honestly believe you can beat Me?

Enterprise:I've been told that it never hurts to try

Nagaro?:and yet here you are, on the back foot with your allies nowhere to be seen

Enterprise:they can handle themselves and I can handle myself

Nagaro?:and how long can that farce hold up for

Nagaro? swung again, scraping the surface of Enterprise's bow which she use to block as he fired his cannons towards her feet, hoping to blow her legs off but just barely missing as Enterprise stepped back quickly after seeing his movement. 

Nagaro?'s shells splashed the water, putting up a screen of water for a few seconds which he used to his advantage as he jumped through the screen of water and slashed at Enterprise , taking the Carrier by surprise as she barely blocks the strike again with her bow

the evident sound of cracking can be heard from Enterprise's bow as her weapon begins to break,much to Nagaro?'s joy as a smile creeped up his face while increasing the pressure he had on her

Nagaro?:your luck is running out ghost

Enterprise:...

Nagaro?:your effort is recognized however. the world shall know of how futile Azur Lane's-

Nagaro?'s eyes widened, his sense of danger screaming at him to move. in a split second, he broke away from Enterprise, but not fast enough to dodge the slash as his left hand gets taken clean off

quickly backing off, Nagaro? looks to see what could have possibly done so much damage to him, let alone have such low presence for him to have so sensed the arrival so late. once he saw, he frowned as in front of him stood Kasumi, wielding her Naginata and wearing her rigging as Foo sat on her shoulder

Nagaro?:New threat assessed, danger posed substantial, current condition weakened, chance of victory low, possible external power none, threat to objective substantial.......... you're quite late

Kasumi:release Sir Nagaro 

Nagaro?:do you believe you have any right to order Me around

Kasumi:as the one that will slay you, it would be for your own good

Nagaro?:huhu, a small little Destroyer like you?

Kasumi charged at him in the blink of an eye, catching him off guard with her speed as she swiped at him, barely missing him but managing to remove a whole turret from his rigging

Kasumi:my shots are small but my swings are not

Nagaro?:it seems your arrogance isn't either

Kasumi:I was taught by the best and he told Me that before I can be arrogant, I should first be confident

charging forward again, Kasumi closes the distance between her and Nagaro as her blade clashes with his. despite her great speed and ability, the difference in power was evident and clear as Nagaro? easily pushes her away with each clash 

knowing this, Kasumi adopts a more non direct approach as she never takes long in each engagement, backing off as quickly as she charges in and completely avoiding any scenario that leaves her in a test of strength against Nagaro? 

not failing to see what her strategy was, Nagaro continuously applied pressure in Kasumi. always chasing after her when she back off and leave little breathing room for her as the white haired Destroyer focused on evasion and striking at any opening 

Enterprise could only stare as the two ships clashed at incredible speed, their movements blurry and disorienting as their swings appear as nothing more than small blurs, her eyes trying their best to keep up but to no avail as she tries to aim at what she thinks is Nagaro? 

seeing Enterprise trying to take aim at him, Nagaro? quickly aimed his cannons at her, prepared to end her quickly but before he could, he was quickly punished as he left an opening for Kasumi, letting her get a strike in as she slices off all 3 barrels of one of his turrets 

having lost more firepower, Nagaro? quickly separates himself from Kasumi with a wall of fire as he puts some distance between him and her, now trying to play to his strengths of higher firepower as he aims his guns at her only to realize that she was already in front of him

swinging again, Kasumi looks to take his right hand next but misses as Nagaro? steps back, gritting his teeth as he's pushed onto his back foot, forced to accept that the enemy in front of him was likely trained with the intent of killing the boy he's possessing in mind as Kasumi took off another turret with another swing

seeing no good way to counter attack as Kasumi bullied Nagaro? into a chase, the boy summoned some fire balls and launched them straight at Azur Lane and the Sakura Empire, hoping she'd be like the boy and prioritize their safety

Kasumi:Ameteur!!!

unfortunately for him, Kasumi was not as easy to fool as he thought as Kasumi pressed her attack, landing a long shallow cut on Nagaro?'s chest before bring her Naginata down from overhead which Nagaro? shakily blocks 

Kasumi:you may have his body but you don't have his skills

Nagaro?:grrrr, damn pest!! who do you think-

Kasumi:say what you will! there is no scenario that you leave these waters alive

Nagaro?:killing Me will kill the host, what will you do then. your factions are weakened and disorganized, one of your leaders is dead and now you will kill the strongest among you. The Sirens will run all over you once this is over

Kasumi:better than the hands of one of our own doing it for them! YOU.WILL.DIE!! 

breaking the lock Kasumi swiped at Nagaro?'s legs forcing him to jump back as she charged in, looking to finish things once and for all as Foo finally sprung into action, transforming into his big form as he launched fireballs at Nagaro in unison with Kasumi's attacks

Nagaro? grits his teeth, his options running out and his control on the body loosening  rapidly. seeing no other way out, he makes the decision to take everyone with him as he absorbs power, his body beginning to glow brightly as he runs from Kasumi

unsure of what was happening to him but not wanting to find out, Kasumi continued to pursue as Foo cut Nagaro? off, closing the distance as he bites into his arm, keeping him there long enough for Kasumi to get in close

sensing the imminent end, Nagaro? goes for the detonation as he glow brightly like the sun. but seeing Kasumi's speed, he knew he wouldn't get it in time as he raised his blade up and swung at the charging girl who gave little regard for her life in a moment that could take everyone's lives as her arm gets taken clean off but giving her the time to plunge her Naginata straight through Nagaro?'s chest

the blade went through as the glow from Nagaro's body quickly died down. Foo let go of his arm and Kasumi let go of her weapon as Nagaro's body fell lifelessly onto it's knees before dissipating into blue particles, leaving only a gray Wisdom Cube in his place

Kasumi:......................please rest... Sir Nagaro

3 weeks go by since the battle out at sea, the creation and deployment of the Orochi and the fight against Nagaro having shaken the very core of Sakura Empire's command structure. accords were signed, the surrender of the Sakura Empire to Azur Lane rocked the world and the Crimson Axis which dissolved soon after as it's members slowly but surely rejoined Azur Lane over the course of the 3 weeks with Iron Blood being the last to rejoin

sanctions and repercussion were pushed onto each member of the Axis but for the Sakura Empire, it could wait as they were given a pardon to pay for it later compared to the others in order to show thanks to the boy that greatly helped in stopping all the madness

as a the Sakura Empire worked around the clock, gathering all their possessions to be moved to the newly constructed section on Azur Lane's Pacific Base, the Officers of the faction stood ready at the port as a luxurious and heavily armed ship anchored into the docks. from it came a man with black hair wearing a black uniform with many medals alongside two men with armed with rifles as the 3 stepped onto the docks and approached the officers

Everyone:Greetings to Emperor Tokito, one and only Emperor of the Sakura Empire

Nagato:your presence graces us our Lord, we are honored to have you visit

Tokito:I was a Commander before I was Emperor, Nagato and you and I know each other already, let's save the pleasantries for a more formal occasion

Nagato:we are honored nonetheless

Tokito:to begin with, are we on schedule

Amagi:yes Emperor, at our current pace we'll be ready to leave by tomorrow

Tokito:what of the wounded from the last battle

Tosa:their transports and security are already arranged and will be ready to fight again within the next 2-3 weeks

Tokito:I see

Nagato:Emperor, if I may be-

Tokito:there is no need to worry Nagato, I've spoken with our best and brightest scientists, they are all working very hard to bring back Mutsu and they've already said that it can be done. we must only be patient

Nagato:... thank you, Emperor

Tokito:of course Nagato. now our position on the world stage is quite shaky but unlike our ministers I trust all of you to continue protecting our lands and upholding the values were hold dear. your all are hope born from the Wisdom Cubes in humanities time of need. I know you all will not fail

Everyone:Yes our Lord

Tokito:carry on with your duties then, I'll go take a stroll

Akagi:if you would like, we can have someone guide you, Emperor

Tokito:unecessary, just proceed as you were

taking his leave, Tokito walked away into the base, climbing the stairs that led up the whole base as he took in the sights with his guards, although he did not lie when he wanted a stroll he had other reasons to want to visit as well as Tokito took a path off to the side before opening a door and entering, his guards standing by and keeping watch as the Emperor entered alone

walking through a small corridor, Tokito slid a door open to enter a room and inside was Kasumi, sitting on mattress with her arm healed and but cuffed together with her other arm. hearing the door open, Kasumi turned to see the Emperor enter the room, her neutral expression unchanging even as he sits to her side

Kasumi:greetings to our Lord, the Emperor

Tokito:...... how are you feeling

Kasumi:I'm fine

Tokito:I said... how are you feeling

Kasumi:.....tired

Tokito:...I supposed I should have assumed so

Kasumi:.......did the Emperor need something from a traitor

Tokito:......I do not agree with our ministers nor do I agree with the labels they've handed you. of an entire fleet, only 3 were wise enough to go against the tide and save our people..... they are not traitors, they are saviors

Kasumi:...I accept the punishment that I am to be given

Tokito sighs and looks at the girl who is clearly unconvinced by his words but he does not blame her as this is what she and her partner expected for a long time. reaching into jacket, Tokito brought out a photo, handing it to Kasumi as the little Destroyer hesitates for a second before looking at the photo and seeing the beheaded bodies of many officials and ministers as she then turns to the Emperor with wide eyes

Kasumi:w-

Tokito:why? we were already planning on doing some changes to the upper staff, the situation just gave us an excuse to do it earlier

Kasumi:.....

Tokito:what you two did was noble and honorable and those actions should be rewarded. so please, if there is anything you would like, just say the word

Kasumi:....................... do you promise to keep it a secret

Tokito:if you want no one to know then no one will know

Kasumi goes silent for a few moments, just staring at Tokito before calling over Foo, who jumps into her sleeve and then quickly comes back out with a Black Wisdom Cube, much to Tokito's surprise as Kasumi picks up the Cube and hands it out to Tokito

Kasumi:..........please

looking at the Cube, the Emperor sighed, quickly understanding what the cube was and why she had it. without hesitation, Tokito to the cube and held it, looking at it before turning back to Kasumi

Tokito:if that is what you want then so be it......I promise, you both will reunite

I've  had no drive to write ever since moving to the city, school didn't help with that either and I still have no wifi to top it off.
