Chapter 6: We've Met Again

(A/N): Back from the grave! I apologize for the late update.

---

Ah, yes. The never dying cafeteria - home to many hungry shipgirls, who would seek out foods and snacks to satisfy their hunger.

On one table, (Y/n) was eating his meal in a calm manner, unlike the Iowa-class who were devouring their food like there's no tomorrow. They were getting stares from the shipgirls around, but they're too hungry to give a damn about them.

Battleships really are in a whole different league when it comes to food. Well, they are large after all, so they couldn't blame them.

Alexandra, who was holding a rolled paper, soon came into the cafeteria and walked towards their table, completely ignoring the Iowa-class who were still too busy eating with their food. There are some shipgirls with almost limitless appetite, so it's nothing new to her.

Alexandra: (Y/n).

(Y/n): *looks at her* Is there something you need?

Alexandra: May I speak with you for a moment? Alone?

(Y/n) sighed and finished his food in a blink of an eye, completely stunning the female commander. Alexandra never saw someone finish their food in a flash.

Alexandra: 'H-How the hell...'

(Y/n): *hums* That was some good shit.

Alexandra: ...

(Y/n) placed down his spoon and fork and wiped his mouth with a towel, brushing off the surprised stare that he was getting.

(Y/n): *stands up* What? Is there something on my face?

Alexandra: N-Nothing...

(Y/n): Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go. I hate wasting time.

---

Alexandra opened the door to her office as she and (Y/n) entered. The office itself looks decent enough, and on the walls were various medals hanged in an orderly fashion.

The female commander walked over to her desk and gestured (Y/n) to take the seat in front of her table. He did so and sat down, waiting for her to start.

Alexandra: I know that it's been only a few hours since we've met, but... I need your help.

(Y/n): On what?

Alexandra: *places the paper on the desk* This.

She gently pushed the paper towards him. (Y/n) grabbed the paper and read the contents - a whole bunch of texts about a Siren base located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

On top was the picture of the base itself. It is black in appearance, and has a circular structure. The picture was probably taken from a spy plane, so the lack of information is understandable.

Alexandra: I want you to gather information and pinpoint their weak spots, so we can launch an all-out air assault. We can't let that base threaten our dominance over the Pacific.

(Y/n): Sounds easy enough.

Alexandra: Don't get too overconfident with yourself, (Y/n). I know you're strong, but don't be too brash.

(Y/n): I'm not being confident.

Alexandra: Be careful on your way there, (Y/n). I don't know why, but my gut tells me that something's wrong in there.

(Y/n): *nods* We'll be going tomorrow. 0800 hours sharp.

Alexandra: Understood. Do you want me to send send some shipgirls to accompany you?

(Y/n): Thanks, but no thanks. We can handle ourselves just fine.

(Y/n) stood up and walked out of the office, gently closing the door behind him. Alexandra sighed and slumped down on her seat.

Alexandra: He and Enterprise have a lot in common...

The Next Day...

The USS Montana, along with the whole Iowa-class battleships were lying in wait, a few kilometers away from the Siren base. They were on the west side, where they believed the defenses would be the weakest.

Up in the air, F-35B Lightning II's were flying at cruising speed, waiting for their time to strike. They're armed with munitions that were specific for this mission.

(Y/n), who was on his own ship, was looking at the Siren base using a pair of binoculars for thirty minutes since their arrival. Iowa and her sisters have been doing the same as well, analyzing the areas where to hit.

(Y/n)'s plan was to sneak inside and sabotage their defenses. If he was somehow spotted, then they will move to Plan B, which is just straight up bombard the Siren base with shells and Tomahawk missiles, while the F-35B's would go in for a bombing run. Crude, but effective.

Iowa: << No Sirens yet. Missouri, how's on your side? >>

New Jersey/Missouri:  << Same as yours. >>

Wisconsin: << Stay frosty. I've got a bad feeling about this shit... >>

(Y/n): *looks at his watch* Bell's rung. Let's see who's home.

The USS Montana soon glowed and split into hundreds of wisdom cubes before forming into his riggings. He then sailed towards the Siren base, using his exceptional eyesight as he was carefully looking out for Sirens that could pop out of nowhere.

New Jersey: << Be careful out there. >>

(Y/n): I always do, New Jersey.

Minutes later, the male battleship reached the island. (Y/n) crouched down and tensed his legs before jumping from the water as he landed on upper deck.

He unsummoned his riggings seconds later, knowing that it would hinder him due to its rather large size. Analyzing the interior up close, he saw some metal doors, like containment rooms or something.

A Siren suddenly came in and was completely shocked to him there. She was about to call for the others but a sword pierced through her head, killing her instantly.

(Y/n) walked over to the now dead Siren and pulled out his sword. He then whipped it to the side, splatting the yellow blood from the blade onto the floor.

(Y/n): Close call...

The male found an open door, possibly where the Siren had walked out from. He entered through it, only for the door to close seconds after he got in.

Walking further into the base, he came across multiple sliding doors. As he continued, he could only hear his own footsteps, breaking the deafening silence looming around.

After an hour of walking around the base while staying hidden as much as possible, (Y/n) soon arrived on a rather large room that was well lit, allowing him to see everything.

The room itself was pretty much blank, except for one entity that was inside.

(Y/n): ...What the fuck is that thing?

The 'thing' was large - even larger than him. It's size can be compared to a ten-foot tall building, and it had a whole bunch of tentacles around its body. It had a large eye on the center and its body was was deeply disoriented, similar to a slime but worse.

As soon as its eyes landed on (Y/n), the entity lets out a loud, terrifying shriek that shook the whole room, even cracking some parts of the wall. It then launched its tentacles towards him, creating a dust cloud as well as throwing pieces of rubble everywhere.

The dust cleared moments later. The entity lifted its tentacles up, only to find nothing but a cracked ground.

It quickly looked around for any signs of the male kansen, now that the entity knows it was facing a more dangerous enemy.

(Y/n) suddenly appeared in front of its eyes and launched a barrage of sword slashes, causing it to scream in pain. Following the first attack, he summoned his rigging and fired a full salvo of shells, Tomahawks, and CIWS, the projectiles exploding upon impact with the entity, tearing its body like it was made of paper.

(Y/n) landed back on the ground after the attack. He unsummoned his riggings and looked up. He saw the entity screaming in agony, its body on fire and continuously burning. It lets out one final roar before it completely vanished, leaving no trace of its existence.

(Y/n): Shit, I think I overdid it...

???: *clap* *clap* *clap* Bravo! Bravo!

(Y/n) turned to the source of the voice. Upon seeing who it was, his muscles tensed as the veins around his neck bulged. He knew who it was, and they've faced twice before.

Empress, the leader of the Sirens, had shown herself for the third time. While she was walking towards him, her smug smile was enough to infuriate the male kansen.

Empress: USS Montana... or should I say, (Y/n)?

(Y/n): We've met again, Empress. It's been a while. How long has it been? Twenty years?

Empress: Twenty five, actually.

(Y/n): You came here in front of me again. To what I owe the displeasure?

Empress: I'm here to settle the score between us, kansen.

Empress' riggings vanished into thin air as she summoned her sword and pointed it at him. Instead of being afraid, (Y/n) gripped the hilt even tighter and walked towards her.

Empress: *smirks* Oh? You're approaching me? Instead of running away, you're coming straight at me?

(Y/n): I can't beat the shit out of you without getting closer.

Empress: *laughs* Oh ho! Then come as close as you like...

The combatants walked closer and closer towards each other, weapons in hand, ready to strike the other down. Their eyes glowed in opposite colors - yellow and blue, both showing malice at one another.

Suddenly, the two disappeared from where they at in a blink of an eye, only to reappear in the middle of the battlefield, their swords clashing with great force that caused a shockwave to resonate in the room.

Swing after swing after swing, (Y/n) and Empress blocked each other's attacks, throwing off sparks from their blades. They did not show any signs of stopping soon, and the thrill of battle was coursing through their bodies.

(Y/n) once again vanished from her sights, only to appear behind Empress as he launched another barrage of sword slashes. However, Empress easily evaded all of the slashes and got away.

Empress went in for a roundhouse kick, only to be met by a punch to the abdomen, causing her to stagger for a second. She spit her blood on the floor as her smirk grew wider.

Empress: You haven't changed one bit. I love it~

(Y/n): Back off. I already have four wives.

Empress: *chuckles* Who says I can't take you away from them?

Empress dashed towards him with breakneck speed, going in for a horizontal slash. (Y/n) ran forward as well and blocked her attack with his own, now getting themselves caught in a bladelock.

The two combatants tried to push each other with all their might, trying to gain the upper hand, but they couldn't. They are the opposite sides of the same coin.

This time, Empress was the one who launched a flurry of sword slashes at him, prompting the male kansen to block all of them.

Empress: USELESS! USELESS! USELESS! USELESS!

(Y/n): Tch...

Having enough, (Y/n) sped up his attacks, now putting Empress on defensive. Empress was caught off-guard and was now having trouble on keeping up with him.

A few good slashes was soon inflicted at her arms and body, once again causing her to take a few steps back. Before she could retaliate, the tip of (Y/n)'s sword touched her neck, making her froze on the spot.

(Y/n): And now the score is 3 - 1.

Empress: Hmph. You've fought well, (Y/n).

(Y/n) pulled his sword away as Empress summoned a portal behind her. She walked towards the portal, but not before giving him a flying kiss, with (Y/n) replying with a middle finger.

Empress did not respond to it and walked towards the portal, before it closed seconds after she entered. Moments later, Sirens came rushing to the room, aiming their laser cannons at (Y/n).

Siren 1: There he is!

Siren 2: Get him!

(Y/n): *scoffs* Fools.

(Y/n) once again vanished from their sights and reappeared behind them as he puts his sword back on the sheath. The moment his sword clicked, the Siren's heads detached from their bodies and rolled to the floor, before their bodies dropped to the ground.

(Y/n): You're cleared, ladies. Fuck them up.

New Jersey: << Roger that, honey~! >>

(Y/n) summoned his rigging and blasted a hole on the wall, which revealed the open sea. He took a few steps backwards and jumped through it, just seconds before the shells and Tomahawk missiles landed on the base.

The F-35B's dove in for a bombing run and released their munitions, further damaging the base's structure.

(Y/n) landed on the water and took a final look on the now wrecked Siren and sailed back to the Iowa-class, who were still bombarding the base.

Minutes later, the base was pounded hard, and its remains were already sinking to the bottom of the abyss.

(Y/n): Alright, our job's done. Let's go back for a bottle of wine.
