Hey guys/girls, sorry I haven't been updating. It's because I'm running out of ideas for this story and I'm also working on a new one, so please understand. Anyway, let's just get into the story.

It was early in the morning and David was just starting to wake up. When he opened his eyes, he saw his wife, Wales still sound asleep. 

(David's point of view)

I don't think I'll ever get tired of waking up and seeing you by my side. David thought as he gently caressed her head. He then leaned closer and gave Wales a kiss on her forehead. After getting kissed, Wales woke up.

David: "Morning honey."

Wales: "Morning... When did you get back?"

David: "Around midnight. When I got home, I saw you sleeping on the couch, so I carried you to our room."

Wales: "Thanks honey. I was busy taking care of the kids all day."

David: "I know. Why don't I make breakfast? You seem pretty tired."

Wales: "No, it's OK, I can make breakfast."

David: "It's OK."

Wales: "Are you sure?"

David: "Yes. Now you get some rest."

David then went downstairs to cook. Wales slowly got out of bed and went to Annie's room. When she opened the door, she saw her daughter still sleeping.

Wales: "Annie, wake up." she said as she gently stroked her hair.

Annie: "Hello mommy... Is daddy home yet?" she asked while trying to get up.

Wales: "Yes, he's making breakfast downstairs."

Annie: "Oh, OK. Where is John?"

Wales: "John is still sleeping. Mommy's gonna go wake him up after this. Now, before you go downstairs, make sure to brush your teeth, OK?

Annie: "OK."

Annie then went to the bathroom and Wales went to John's room to wake him up. On the way, she heard crying coming from John's room. She quickly went to his room and tried to calm him down.

Wales: "Shh Shh. It's alright sweetie. Mommy's here." she said while trying to calm him down.

After John calmed down, she carried him downstairs to eat.

Wales: "Is breakfast ready?" she asked as she sat John down on a baby chair.

David: "Almost."

Annie then came running down the stairs.

Annie: "Daddy, is breakfast ready?"

David: "Yes. Honey, can you help me set up the table?"

Wales: "Sure."

After setting up the table, David placed the food on the plates.

Wales: "Wait, what about John? He can't eat food like this yet."

David: "Don't worry. I also made some porridge for him."

Wales: "Oh, OK."

They then began to eat. While Wales was feeding John, she remembered something.

Wales: "Hey honey, were supposed to meet up with Harry and Alex right?"

David: "Yeah."

Annie: "Where are we going today?"

David: "Today, we're going to spend time with uncle Alex and uncle Harry."

Annie: "Yay! Is Lisa going to come too?"

David: "I think she will. After this, we have to get ready because they will arrive here at 9 o'clock."

Annie: "OK." she said while finishing her breakfast.

After finishing her breakfast, Annie quickly went upstairs to take a bath while David, Wales, and John stayed downstairs. Wales was cleaning the table while David washed the dishes and John was playing with his toys.

Wales: "David, you shouldn't come home so late. I was worried about you."

David: "I know... I'm sorry. I'll try to come home earlier next time."

Wales: "Just don't overdo it, OK?" she said as she gave her husband a kiss on the cheek.

David: "Yes ma'am." he said as he continued washing the dishes.

Wales: "By the way, how's Hood doing?"

David: "She's doing fine. She's a big help around the office, but I kinda miss you being my secretary."

Wales: "Well, since I'm your wife, I have to take care of our kids."

David: "I know." he said as he wrapped his arms around her waist and gave her a kiss on the forehead.

Wales was about to return the kiss when they heard Annie's voice.

Annie: "Mommy and Daddy are kissing! Mommy and Daddy are kissing!" she said in a teasing manner.

David: "Ohh, somebody wants to get kissed by daddy too?"

Annie: "No! Hehehe!" she said while running around the room while David was chasing her. Wales let out a small giggle seeing this.

Wales: "Alright then, I'm gonna give John a bath." she said while carrying John upstairs.

David: "Alright." David said while still trying to catch his daughter.

After they getting ready for the day, the family waited in the living room, waiting for their friends to arrive. Suddenly, the doorbell rang. David went to open the door and saw Alex and Harry with Yorktown and Lexington.

David: "Hey guys, you made it."

Alex: "Of course we did. Ready for our day off?"

David: "You know it!" David said while letting the rest inside. Then, the voice of a small girl calling out to Annie.

???: "Annie!"

Annie: "Lisa!"

They then high-fived each other and went to the backyard. The shipgirls talked to each other in the living room while the commanders went to the kitchen to talk about what to do for the day.

In the living room

Wales: "Hello Yorktown. How's Lisa doing?"

Yorktown: "She's doing fine. She's a little more active than before though."

Wales: "Oh, alright. What about you Lexington? Have you tied the knot with Harry yet?"

Lexington smiled and showed them her hands. On her ring finger, there was a ring on it.

Wales: "Wow! Looks like somebody is going to get married in the near future."

Yorktown: "Anyway, enough about us. How are you doing Wales? Are the kids doing alright?"

Wales: "Yes, they're fine."

In the kitchen...

Harry: "So David, what are we doing today?"

David: "How about we go to the zoo? Annie has been wanting to go to the zoo for a while now but I was so busy with work."

Alex: "Alright. The zoo sounds good. I think Lisa will enjoy that too."

David: "Alright. Annie, cmon were going to the zoo."

Annie: "Yay, the zoo!"

Alex: "Let's go Lisa."

Lisa: "OK daddy."

They then went to the zoo. After buying the entrance fee, they went inside. Annie and Lisa ran off to the petting zoo, followed by David and Alex. Harry and Lexington decided to take a stroll, so Wales and Yorktown decided to follow the rest to the petting zoo. Soon they reached the place and saw Annie and Lisa playing with the animals.

Wales: "Looks like they're having fun."

Yorktown: "Yeah. Wait, where are they?"

Wales: "Who?"

Yorktown: "Alex and David."

Wales: "I dont know... Wait, there they are!" Wales pointed towards the ice-cream vendor.

Yorktown: "Alex! David! Over here!"

The two then heard Yorktown calling them and went over there.

Yorktown: "Where were you?"

Alex:"The kids said they wanted some  ice cream, so we went and bought some."

Lisa: "Daddy!" she said as she came running out of the petting zoo.

Alex: "Hey there sweetie, you wanted this right?" he said as he showed her daughter the ice cream.

Lisa: "Yes."

He then handed her the ice cream.

Alex: "Lisa, where is Annie?"

Lisa: "She is still in there."

David: "I'll go get her."

David then went inside the petting zoo to find his daughter.

David: "Annie, cmon. It's almost lunchtime."

Annie: "OK daddy."

After that, they had lunch and spent the rest of the day at the zoo. When it was time to go home, everyone said their goodbyes and went back to their own homes. When they arrived at their house, David and Wales carried their children to their rooms because they were already asleep. After tucking their kids to bed, David and Wales prepared to go to sleep.

Wales: "I'm glad the kids enjoyed their trip to the zoo."

David: "Yeah me too."

Wales: "Will you be working tomorrow?"

David: "Unfortunately yes, but I'm planning to take more breaks from work so we can spend more time together."

Wales: "Just don't overwork yourself, OK?"

David: "Yes ma'am."

David then gave Wales a goodnight kiss before both of them drifted to sleep.
