It's been a week since Enterprise became Ethan's secretary. She's still getting used to her new job since before being the secretary, all she did was fight. Ethan was at a meeting and Enterprise was in his office sorting the files.

(Enterprise's pov)

There's a lot of files here. No wonder commander looks really tired.

She then heard a knock on the door.

Enterprise: "Come in."

The person then entered the room, who turned out to be Yorktown.

Yorktown: "Enterprise, is the commander here?"

Enterprise: "No. He's at a meeting."

Yorktown: "I see. I want to give him the files he requested but seeing he's not here, I'll come back another time."

Enterprise: "Why don't you just leave it with me? I'll give it to him when he comes back."

Yorktown: "Alright." she said as she placed the documents on the desk.

Yorktown: "So, how are you holding up?" she asked her little sister.

Enterprise: "I'm doing just fine but it's different from being on the battlefield. Here I just sort the documents and sometimes have a conversation with the commander."

Yorktown: "OK. How do you feel about being his secretary?"

Enterprise: "Why are you asking me this all of a sudden?" she asked while having a confused expression.

Yorktown: "Just curious."

Enterprise: "Well... I think it's alright. He's nice to me and he's fun to talk to."

Yorktown: "I see... Well then, I think I'll head back." she said as she headed for the door.

Just as she was to open the door, someone opened it from the outside.

Ethan: "Hey Yorktown. What are you doing here?" he said while closing the door behind him.

Yorktown: "I came to deliver some documents. I left them with Enterprise."

Ethan: "Oh OK. Thanks." he said as he went to his desk but before he reached his desk, Yorktown grabbed his shoulder.

Ethan: "Uhh, is there anything else?" Ethan asked.

Yorktown: "Commander, what do you think of my little sister?" she said with a teasing smile on her face.

Enterprise: "Sister! What are you doing!?"

Ethan: "Well, she's really nice to me and she's a big help around the office. She's great."

Hearing this, Enterprise started to blush.

Yorktown: "I see... Well, I'll be going now. Don't want to get in the middle of you two." she said in a teasing manner as she left the room.

Ethan: "What was that all about?"

Enterprise: "I-I don't know. She likes to tease me all the time."

Ethan: "Oh, OK then."

The two then continued their work until around noon. Ethan was filling the rest of the documents when Enterprise brought him a cup of coffee.

Enterprise: "Here you go commander." she said while placing the coffee on his desk.

Ethan: "Thanks Enterprise."

Ethan then took a sip of coffee while looking out his window. Enterprise then noticed that he had an uneasy look on his face.

Enterprise: "Commander, is something wrong?"

Ethan: "No, I'm just thinking about my old life before I was sent here."

Enterprise: "Oh. If I may ask, what was it like?"

Ethan: "Well, it's nothing special. In my previous life, I was treated like an outsider. They would often call me names and stayed away from me if they could."

Enterprise: "Oh, I see... What about your parents?"

Ethan: "They're both already gone."

Enterprise: "Oh, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked."

Ethan: "It's alright. But since I already left that life behind, I should just focus on the present."

Enterprise stayed silent.

It seems that commander had a pretty hard life...

Ethan: "Anyway, I'm starting to get hungry so why don't we grab a bite to eat?"

Enterprise: "Uhh yeah sure."

The two then went to the cafeteria. As they were walking, they heard a voice calling out to them.

???: "Enterprise!! Commander!!"

Ethan: "Hey Cleveland. Where are you going?"

Cleveland: "I'm going to the cafeteria."

Enterprise: "Wanna join us? We're heading there too."

Cleveland: "Sure."

The three then went to the cafeteria. When they got there weren't many people inside.

Cleveland: "Sure is lonely."

Ethan: "Yeah well, the only ones here are the other shipgirls and the staff."

Cleveland: "Well, I guess it's gonna get more crowded as you construct more of us shipgirls."

Ethan: "I guess so."

Ethan then saw Edward sitting at a table with Belfast so he decided to go talk to him while the others order the food.

Ethan: "Hey there you two."

Edward: "Hey Ethan. What are you doing here?"

Ethan: "Getting some lunch. The question is, what are you two doing?" he said with a smirk on his face.

Edward: "Uhh, just getting some lun-"

Belfast: "Master Edward wanted to taste some of my cooking, so I prepared him a meal."

Ethan: "Ohh, is that so?"

Edward: "I-its not what you think alright!"

Ethan: "Alright then." he said as he left the two.

Ethan then looked around to find where the others were sitting and he saw them sitting at a table near the corner. He went to the table and sat down next to Enterprise.

Enterprise: "Here commander. I ordered the food you requested."

Ethan: "Oh, thanks Enterprise." he said giving her a smile.

Seeing this, Enterprise blushed a little.

Cleveland: "Ho, I see someone's in love." she said with a smirk.

Enterprise: "W-what are you saying?!" her face becoming redder.

Ethan: "What are you talking about?" Ethan asked while he was eating.

Cleveland: "Nothing." she said with an even bigger smirk on her face.

(Cleveland's POV)

But seriously, why is commander so dense?! I guess I'll try again later... she thought to herself.

After finishing their lunch, Cleveland went out on a commission and both Ethan and Enterprise went back to the office and continued their work until late into the night.

Around 2 am

(Enterprise's POV)

These are the last of the documents. Finally, I can get some rest. Enterprise then looked at Ethan who was already fast asleep. Commander's already asleep?! Well, I guess it can't be helped. He hasn't had any decent sleep in a while. She then got up from her desk and covered him with a blanket.

Enterprise: "Good work today commander." she whispered to him.

She then took another blanket and layed down on the couch. As her eyes slowly closed, she heard a voice saying "Good night Enterprise. Sweet dreams."
She then drifted to sleep.
