Their 6 months of basic education training was over. Then, they were sent to Gurukul of Rishi Gyanvas. There their initiation ceremony was done, and then they started their education related to politics, religious books, and other subjects suitable for ruling the kingdom. At the age of 11, they were initiated into weapons training.

When they were initiated, Kattapa automatically became their Guru. So he called all three of them in the practice ground. At the center of the ground on a table, five weapons were kept. They were spear, mace, bow and arrow, sword and axe.

Kattapa- (clearing his throat) I have called you here because I wanted to know which weapon use, you wanted to know first. Since the eldest among you is Bhalladeva, he has the right to choose his weapon first.

Bhalladeva came near the table and looked at all the weapons. After some time, he picked up the mace.

Bhalladeva- Kattapa, I want to learn how to use a mace first.

Kattapa- ok keep the mace down and move back, now let your cousins choose.

Bhalladeva keeps the mace back and looks at his cousins with a smile. But internally, the seeds of jealousy were growing. He felt jealous looking at them, at their splendor and virture, as they both were always ahead of him in classes, especially in politics class.

Kattapa- Now, Amarendra please come and choose your weapon.

Amarendra comes and looks at all the weapons. He goes near the sword and picks it up.

Amarendra- Guruji, I want to learn how to use the sword first.

Kattapa- ok then, please keep the sword back, and stand with your brother. Now, let Ayanika choose.

Amarendra goes and stands near Bhalladeva. He smiles at Bhalla genuinely. Then looks at Ayanika. Ayanika looks hesitant to go near the weapons table. She looks at Amarendra. Amarendra gives her an encouraging look. She takes a deep breath and moves towards the table. But, she looks confused. Kattapa notices the confusion on her face.

Kattapa- What happened Ayanika, now choose the weapon you want to learn first.

Ayanika- But Guruvar, I am not able to decide which one to choose as I want to learn how to use all of them. Is it possible?

Kattapa – (smiles) yes, it is possible. I will teach you how to use all of them. You can stand with your brothers now.

She goes and stands next to her brothers.

Kattapa- (looks at them) from tomorrow, I will start your weapons training. You should be here at exactly 6 in the morning. Is that understood?

All three of them together- Ji, Guruji.

Kattapa- The class is dismissed and as it is lunchtime, your lunch has been served in the kitchen, please go there, and have your lunch.

All three of them do pranam and go towards the kitchen.

In Kitchen

After taking their plate full of food, they sit down to eat in the dining area. There was a window overlooking the area where Kattapa and his clan members were taking their food. When Amarendra was going to put the first morsel of food in his mouth, he sees Kattapa holding his plate in front of the server, who just put a piece of cooked meat and some rice in his plate. He just takes it and leaves. Looking at this injustice happening to Kattapa, Amar just feels sad. So he takes leave from the dining table and runs towards the area where Kattapa and his clan members where having their lunch.

Kattapa was going to put the first morsel of food in his mouth when he sees Amar running towards him. He just looks at him with surprise. The next thing Amar does surprises him more.

Amar sits next to him.

Amar- Kattapa, please let me have this food with you. Please.

Kattapa- but you can not have this food with us, Yuvraj. Your lunch is already served in the kitchen.

Amar- That will stay, but what is wrong in eating this kind of food? (Tries to snatch the plate)

Kattapa – (taking the plate out of his reach) You know what is wrong, Yuvraj. You are upper caste people, and we are lower caste. So, it is wrong for you to have food with us.

Amar – So you will not agree like this. This is the order of Yuvraj of Mahishmati.

Kattapa becomes shocked. He is still hesitant to give him lunch.

Amar- Ab khila bhi dona, Mama.

Kattapa gets tears in his eyes. He takes the first morsel of his food from the plate and feeds it to Amar. Then, Amar just takes the plate from his and starts eating from the plate. Just then, Ayanika arrives with her plate full of food that she had gotten from the kitchen. She looks at Amar eating from Kattapa's plate and understands what just happened over here. So, she goes near Kattapa and hands over her plate to him. Kattapa looks at her with surprise.

Ayanika- Kattapa...

Amar-Mama...

Ayanika- ok, Kattapa mama, since my stupid brother (Amar just glares at her) has taken your lunch after a long fight, you have nothing to eat. Therefore, please fill your stomach by eating from my plate, I will eat along with Bahu Bhaiya.

She sits next to Amar and starts having lunch with him. Kattapa just smiles seeing their bond.

A new bond has formed, but someone else looking at this is seething with anger. What will happen next?
