Chapter 39- Village
Just as the entire family reaches the main gate, people from different parts of the kingdom were standing infront of them, joining their hands. They had tear stained faces. But one person among them gets out of the crowd.
Person- Hey! Why are you crying? Our god is coming out of his temple and going to stay with us. Celebrate this occasion!
Everyone gets excited. Amar smiles and removes his gold jewellery and keeps it on a plate. Rest of the people followed the same gesture. Just as they were about to leave, Kattapa comes over there.
Kattapa- As your guru, I asked Rajmata's permission to give your weapons to you. Please take your weapons with you.
Amar and Ayanika smile and take their respective weapons. They take the blessings of Kattapa. Aftter that they leave with the crowd.
Just as they are waking with the crowd, Mohan, the person who took care of the horses in the royal stables, guided them to a cottage which was near the stone mine. All of them looked around the house, after being satisfied with it, they decide to live over.
Amar- Ayu, please disperse the crowd now.
Ayanika nods and looks towards the crowd.
Ayanika- We loved the house which you made for us in such a short time. Now, please go for your jobs. Mohan will take care of us.
The crowd disperses. Mohan goes and brings the clothes for change. Ayanika helps Devasena changing the clothes. Kumar and Amar also change their clothes.
Kumar- Now, we have to go for work to earn money for tonight dinner. Let's go, Bahubali.
Amar-yes, let's go.
Ayanika- I will also come with you.
Amar- But who will take care of Devasena?
Ayanika- (smiling) Renu will take care of ... (sad smile) sorry, Mohan, call your sister, Savitri, who can take care of Sakhi and please stay guard over here.
Mohan nods and leaves to call his sister, Savitri. Ayanika, Kumar and Amar leave to do work in the mine. Kumar and Amar do the job of breaking the stones. Ayanika does the job of carrying the stones around. The workers also helped them and showed them on how to do the work. By the evening, they finished doing the job and the manager gives them food for the night, respectfully. As, they are walking back,
Ayanika- Amar bhaiya and Kumar, you both go ahead. I will just come the Shiv mandir.
Amar- Come back quickly, ok?
Ayanika nods and goes towards the Shiv Mandir in the forest. She bows in front of the shiv-ling. Then sits in meditation position. After sometime her mind calms down. She opens her eyes to see a Panditji doing pooja infront of the shivling. She quietly gets up and is about to leave, when the Panditji stops her.
Panditji- Beta, after long time you came here, what happened?
Ayanika- Nothing, Munivar. I just wanted to calm my mind somewhere. So, I came over here.
Panditji- Beta, recently the sati-savitri pooja was done. So, I also want you to do this pooja. By the way, the thread for tying around the peepal tree is sent by your husband, Maharaj Akanksh.
Panditji gives her the thread. She takes it and does pranaam to the Panditji.
Ayanika- But when did he give you the thread?
Panditji- I go to Prayagirajyam Shiv Mandir. So over there he met me and gave me the thread.
Ayanika- (pranaam) Thank you Panditji, can you pass a message of mine to him?
Panditji- Yes Putri, What is it?
Ayanika- Tell him that I miss him but please don't come towards Mahishmati, leaving Prayagirajyam in the hands of his ministers. I know that he wants to come near me but this is not the time. Please can you pass him this message?
Panditji- (sad smile) Yes, I will tell him.
Ayanika touches his feets and leaves. The Panditji removes his bread to reveal that he is Akanksh.
Akanksh- (Looking at Shiv-ling) Mahadev, why does Ananta always do this to me? She knew I was infront of her, but she never let her emotions flow out her. Why is she keeping me away from her, Mahakal? Why?
A tear escapes from his eyes. But he wipes it quietly, leaves the temple on Surya-Jal. After he leaves, Ayanika gets out of the shadows. She quietly sees him leaving on Surya-Jal.
Ayanika- (teary-eyed) I know that you knew I was hiding in the shadows. Akanksh, if I allowed you to come and help me right now, then it would backfire. When time comes, I will call you or you will come by yourselves. Until then, please stay calm.
Ayanika leaves the temple grounds and goes towards their new home. Amar was standing outside when he saw Ayanika arriving with tears in her eyes. He goes near her.
Amar- Ayu, are you fine?
Ayanika- (wipes the tears) yes Bhaiya, I am fine.
Amar- What happened? Tell me please. I am your best friend, big brother now.
Ayanika- Prem se milkar aayi, parantu prem ke prastav ko thukra diya. Uske karun rudan ko thukrana, Nyaydhish ka kartavya tha. Nyaydhish ne apna kartavya toh nibha liya, lekin ek premika ke hriday ko kaun samjhae ki uski koi galti nahi hai.
Saying this, she finally breaks down and hugs Amar, crying. Seeing her breaking down like this, Amar could say nothing but just kept on hugging her to calm her down. Devasena after seeing Ayanika breaking down feels sad. Kumar also felt sad.
