Amarendra was made as the Crown prince. Ayanika was still in dark about her position. Bhalladeva was in his room practicing his mace fighting skills on the iron sculptures of Amrendra and Ayanika. His anger levels were reaching the limits. He was using his entire strength to break the statues but they were not even budging from their place making him more angry. Before he could attack again, he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned around and saw Bijlladeva with a smirk on his face. Seeing the smirk, he understood what was going to happen.

The festival of Raksh dahan had come. It is a special festival which comes after every 26 years. For the happiness of the subjects and the kingdom, the tradition says that royal families daughter-in-law should perform the agni prasthan by herself. 30 kilometers away from the capital, there is a Shiva temple. The daughter-in-law should walk until there with bare feet all the while keeping a fire pot on her head. Whenshe reaches the temple, the grass statue of Akal Rakshas will be burned using the fire of the pot. Until the vow is not fulfilled the her legs should not stop come what may.

Sivagammi was carrying out this ritual, Kattapa and her personal boadyguards were walking around her. In front of the procession, the musicians were playing music.They had entered the temple region. All the subjects were happy seeing their queen doing the ritual. They were standing around her. When they saw her bruised feet, they felt pain and also respect for her increased. They started chanting her and throwing flowers petals in the path which she was walking to ease her pain. Suddenly with all the commotion the elephant started to get angry and became mad. Everyone got scared and started to run here and their except for Sivagammi. She was still continuing her walk calmly. Kattapa had ordered the soldiers to attack the animal.

Sivagammi- Kattapa.

Kattapa- Yes, Ma.

Sivagammi- Take everyone away from this trouble.

Kattpa- But how can I leave you inthis situation unguarded?

Sivagammi- What ever I have said, just follow that.

Kattapa- As you say mother.

He quickly starts evacuating the place, while Sivagammi continued her walk. The elephant destroys the mandap that was constructed for the occasion. Then he sees Sivagammi walking towards him. He charges towards Sivagammi when Amarendra comes out of a chariot garage while pulling a elaborately decorated chariot with his sheer strength. He pulled it with full force creating momentum in such a way that the elephant was pushed out the way and Sivagammi was given way to continue her walk. The elephant collided with the turmeric container kept in front of a big Ganesh statue. Sivagammi continued her walk.

Kattapa- (whispering proudly) her feets did not stop. (smiles)

The turmeric got spread all over the elephant. Before he could get more mad, he saw the statue of Ganesh and calmed down. It started praying in front of the statue. Amaredra smiles and gets another big container of turmeric from the platform where the statue was erected and pours it on the elephant. The elephant becomes more calm and sits down. Amarendra jumps down from the platform. Sivagammi turns her head towards him and smiles. He also smiles back. Then he goes near the elephant and pets it. Finally, he gives the elephant the command to rise. The elephant rises up. After sometime, it helps him to sit on his head. Sivagammi puts the fire pot in the fire pit erected for the occasion, igniting the flames. She then takes a big spear and lights the head using the flames. She than passes it to Amar who catches it with one hand while sitting on the elephant. The elephant carries a huge bow in its trunk and gets it ready for Amar to shoot. Before shooting, he gets a question in his mind.

Amar- Mama, have you seen Ayu?

Kattapa- No, I have not seen her anywhere.

Amar gets tensed. Before he could give any command, he heard a familiar neighing voice from the background. He smiles. He shoots the arrow at the demon statue which starts burning in big flames. He then looks down at his right side to see Ayanika on her favourite horse, Som-vayu. He gets of the Elephant and goes near who Ayanika, who also get off her horse.

Amar- Where had you gone Ayanika? You know how much important is this festival for us.

Ayanika- I was ...

Then hear a dham sound in the background. They both turn to see Sivagammi had fallen on the floor.

Amar and Ayanika- (together) MA!

They both run towards Sivagammi. Amar puts Sivagammi's head on lap and Ayanika holds Sivagammi's hand in her hand. She feels it suddenly becoming hot.

Amar- Someone give me water quickly!

An attendant quickly passes pot full of water. Kattapa just stands there with a calm look on his face. Amar sprinkles some water on Sivagammi's face. She opens her eyes for sometime and after sometime closes it. Amar and Ayanika get worried look on their faces. They both look at each other and an understanding happens between them. Amar picks Sivagammi in his hands and Ayanika goes near Som-Vayu and holds it's rein. Amar carefully put Sivagammi on his back and get on the horse himself. Then goes towards the palace. Ayanika signals another soldier to bring another horse. When the horse is brought, she quickly gets on it and rushes to te palace. Seeing their reactions, Kattapa gets a smile on his face.

Kattapa – (thinking) Ma you are so great. Just to take test of your children, you got yourself sick. And just as I thought and told you, the twins will react this way only. Now, let's see how does Bhalla react.

As Amar reached with Sivagammi, he quickly to Sivagammi to her chamber. Ayanika reached few seconds after him. She quickly told the attendants to call the royal Vaidya. And she ran behind Amar. Amar gently placed Sivagammi on the bed, and sat by her head. Ayanika sat by her feet. After sometime, Bhalla also arrived. He looked Sivagammi and then looked at the twins.

Bhalladeva- (faking concern) What happened to Mata?

Amar- (in tensed voice) We also don't know.

Bhalla nods his head and goes near Sivagammi and holds her hand and gets a tensed look on his face. Just then, Vaidya arrives. The siblings bow to him and move to a side. After doing a quick checkup, he understands what happened to her. He looks towards siblings.

Vaidya-(in a grave voice) She has caught fever. It is severe fever. But there is nothing to worry about as it not life-threatening. I will give the medicines for this. So, don't worry and give her medicines time to time.

Amar- Vaidyaji, can you please check Ma's feets once.

Vaidya nods and checks the feets. He understands the problem and quickly gets to work. After sometime, bandaging the feets, he gets a reliefed look on his face. He goes near Amar.

Vaidya- Thank you Yuvraj for pointing this out, otherwise it would have become more worse.

He prescribes the medicines and gave instructions on how to take care of Sivagammi and left. Bhalla quietly leaves the room, whereas the twins start taking care of her. Throughout the days, both of them took care of her without sleeping. Ayanika was also taking care of the kingdom matters as she knew Amar won't be able to leave Sivagammi in that condition. She used to give the reports to Amar who used sit next Sivagammi'd head putting wet cloth on her head. After the talks were finished, Ayanika used to change the bandage of Sivagammi's feets. Bhalla and Bijjaladeva were just sitting in their rooms, just drinking wine. Bhalla was also thinking about a way to get the twins out of the way.

After few days,

Sivagammi opens her eyes in the morning after having a good nap. She sees Ayanika Massaging her feet and Amar rubbing her right hand. She smiles. She puts her left hand on his cheeks. He looks at her smiles. Then she points towards Ayanika. Amar quietly put his hand on her shoulder. She turns towards and sees that Sivagammi has woken up. She smiles at her. Sivagammi slowly gets up and puts her hand on her lap indicating them to put head on it and go to sleep. They both smile at eachother and put their head on her lap and close their eyes. They fall fast asleep. Kattapa quietly enters the room and tells her everything that happened until now. She smiled and gave instructions of doing Daan in Yuvraj name, in a shubh Muhurat.

Listening to this Bhalla and Bijjladeva felt pangs od jealousy.
