The Reaper of Mercy.
"Is this truly the best thing to do?" The voice asked again.
You look around frantically, not seeing anyone. You call out to the empty room.
"I've been sent here to protect you. Asked a favor of sorts." The voice says. Maybe ask a favor of you."
You quickly regain your thoughts. He was waiting on you and you can't make him wait any longer. You begin to walk toward the bathroom once more. Your mind set and detemand.
"Your forcing my hand human. I made a promise and I plan to keep it, but i cant stop others if they come here for you." The voice says sounding a lot closer.
You stop once more and look to see if anyone is there, but again you see nothing. At first.
Maybe it was a trick of the lighting in the hallway, or you had finally lost it, but was that a ghost suddenly and slowly coming into your vision? It looked like those cartoon versions of what the grim reaper looked like. You stand there dead faced and make eye contact. you see the light blue pupils of its eyes and glare into them. You tell it you wish to be left alone, you have more important matters to get to.
In fully, and no longer see through view, he nods. "This is true you do have something more important to do right now, and its not this." He sticks a boney hand out and holds the bathroom door closed. "I've been sent to give you a message. You must listen to me." He says.
You see him barring your path and begin to fight with him over the door. You yell at him to let you go in, but you find you can't get any grip over his hands and finally huff defeated. You could go to the kitchen and get something there, but you didn't want to make a mess of your babies perfectly clean room.
"Right." He starts satisfied with you just standing there and listening. "Your heart is broken and those you trusted did that to you, but be aware still of what is around you. For he will bring you light and love. In time you will find the demigod dressed in white. From there your true test begins." He spoke in some sort of riddle.
Was this man joking? Could you believe him. A demigod dressed in white? What was he even saying. You ask yourself.
"Your baby can wait my dear. He is quite pleasant and very good. He wants you to wait too." The Reaper said.
Tears flowed down your face. You never spoke of your baby. How would he have known.
His eyes pierced your soul in a knowing manner, and you fell upon the skeleton crying.
