So this book will be extending to chapter 45, and I haven't decided if I wanna do a book 2 or write another hiccstrid fanfic.

Hiccup's POV

I woke up in a small cage, chained to the floor. The chains were long enough to let me walk around the cage, but that's it. I walked to the front to try and get a look at where I am. There was a circle of cages, so I figured at least one more person is in here.

"Is anyone here?" I whispered loud enough for someone to hear. I didn't want any guards to hear me.

"Wait there's actually someone besides me in here?" Someone responded. It sounded like a girl, and she sounded like she was about 15.

"Yeah I just got here! Who are you?" I asked. She came out of the shadow of the cage across from me.

"My names Allysa. Who are you?" Allysa said.

"I'm Hiccup. Wait who kidnapped us?" I asked.

"Wait you're Hiccup? Oh my gods your the dragon trainer! The one that trained the night fury! Where is he?" Allysa frantically asked.

"I don't know. Toothless? Toothless where are you bud?" I poked my head out of the bars and looks through all the cages. I heard a muffled roar from the cage at my right. "Ah Toothless there you are bud. You didn't answer my question. Who kidnapped us?"

"I've never seen his face or heard any guards say his name. He must have some privacy issues or something. And I've been waiting to find out who he is for 2 years!" She shouted.

"Wait you've been here for 2 years?" I asked.

"Yep since I was 18. I was walking through the forest and all the sudden I was here. Nobody has come looking for me or anything. I was kind of a looser at my island." Allysa said. Sounded like me until I trained Toothless.

"I'll help you get out of here I promise. And then if you want you can live on Berk." I said and looked around for anything to pick the lock with.

"Thank you Hiccup. Wait. Your leg! You can try and use it to get into the locks!" She whispered loudly all of the sudden.

"Allysa you're right!" I said. I flipped it to the side that was a little thinner, and put it in the lock. "I think it's a little to wide." I said and pulled it out.

"Look out!" She said and a thin blade flew into my cage.

"How long have you had this?" I asked and picked it up. It was just a filed down rock.

"I just finished making it yesterday. But when you got dragged in here I waited so I could help you escape." She explained. I smiled and picked the lock with the stone.

"Allysa you're a genius!" I shouted and the cage creaked open. I rushed to hers and opened it. "C'mon. Do you know the way out of here?" I said while opened Toothless's cage.

"Sadly, no. But we will just have to do some exploring." She said. With that, we walked down long, dark tunnels, hoping for a way out.

Astrid's POV

"There has to be some way we can find him!" I shouted. I was still at his parents house, since I wasn't allowed to be by myself.

"We're doing everything we can Astrid. It may take a while. We don't know who the kidnapper was or where they're from." Valka said and fed the dragons.

"Can't we just use his helmet or something for the scent? If we give it to one of the dragons they could find him!" I shouted while holding his helmet.

"It's worth a shot. Gobber and I will go looking while you two stay here with the dragons." Stoick said and walked out with Gobber and Hiccup's helmet. I heard the flap of dragon wings, and then silence.

I really hope he'll be okay.

Allysa's POV

"So why did this guy kidnap you?" I asked.

"I'm actually not sure. Usually it's because people want their dragons trained, and since I was the first one to train a dragon, they think I'm the only one that can." Hiccup explained. "What about you?"

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"What's so special about you that these guys want?" Hiccup said in a polite tone.

"I'm not sure. I've never done anything extraordinary with my life like you have. I've only been a looser." I looked at my feet.

"I don't think you're a looser." He said.

"Well then you're the first. Even my own mother didn't like me." I said and almost burst into tears.

"What about your dad?"

"Left my island when I was 7."

"Wow." He said.

"Yeah. I then just accepted being the looser of the village that everybody hates. They've given me the 'village hiccup' title." I said with a low tone.

"It used to be like that for me. Village Hiccup, nobody liked me, you get it." He said.

"But you're life turned around. Everyone accepted you. I wonder if they even notice I'm gone." I mumbled.

"I know you're life will change for the better. And I know there is someone out there who misses you." He pat my shoulder. I looked up and smiled, then noticed he had a good ring on.

"Who's the lucky lady?" I asked and pointed to the ring.

"Oh her names Astrid. If you come back to a Berk you'll meet her." He said. Why did that name sound familiar?

"What's down this tunnel?" I said and went into a dark cave. "Ow. Dead end!" I said and rubbed where I hit my head on the wall. When I got back out I realized we were in a circle of caves.

"This always happens." Hiccup mumbled.

"Let's check every single one until we find one that will lead us somewhere." I said. With that we split up and walked down different tunnels. "Hey Hiccup I found something!" I said. It echoed enough for him to hear.

"What is it?"

"This tunnel leads to either a room or the outside." I said and pointed down the hall to a small dot of light.

"Perfect. C'mon we can't wait here all day." He said and followed the dragon, which had gone first.

"So neither of us are stuck here with absolutely no idea who our kidnapper is and why he kidnapped us?" I asked.

"Well you just summed up our entire situation." He said and held out his fire sword.

"See any sign of a way out?" I asked.

"Other then the light up ahead, nothing. Let's just keep going towards the light." He said. Sounds like we're dead or something.

We got to the little light and it was a room. It had a two small beds in the center with 2 desks on either side of the room.

"Must be a guards office or something." I said.

"Well if the guards aren't here, then where are they?" He asked and went back down the tunnel. I walked inside the room and looked at the papers on one of the desks. I found a paper that had a map of the entire dungeon, with the exits labeled.

"Hiccup come here." I said. He came in.

"What is it?" He said and put his sword away. I held the map in front of him. "Perfect! I'll search the other desk to see if we can get any idea on who our kidnapper is and what he wants from us." He walked over to the other desk and started inspecting the papers and books.

We took any papers or books that seemed like they could help us, and put them in Toothless's saddle bags. We then walked down the tunnel we came through, and followed the map to the nearest exit. But suddenly, I heard footsteps.

"Hiccup do you hear that?" I said.

"No what do you hear?" He asked. Toothless must have heard it to because he was growling lowly.

"Someone's coming!" I whispered/shouted. I looked around frantically for a place to hide.

"Allysa calm down they're gonna hear you!" He told me and grabbed my arm, making me stand still.

The footsteps grew closer and closer. Hiccup finally started hearing them.

"Ok what we do is walk down this tunnel and take the closest turn there is. Okay?" He said and looked at the map. I have an approving nod.

We walked slowly down the hallway and made a right. But someone saw us.

"Hey the prisoners escaped!" The guard shouted.

"RUN!" I shouted and sprinted down the hallway.

We were being chased by guards down hallways. I didn't even know where we were going because I didn't have time to stop and look at the map. We got to a tunnel right above us (like a hole made by a whispering death that's what it looks like down there). Toothless went up first, and he pulled Hiccup with him. I jumped and clung to a rock. I started climbing up the side. Once I got us enough for Toothless to reach, he bit my shirt and pulled me the rest of the way up.

"That was a close one wasn't it?" Hiccup said and brushed the dirt off his armor. "C'mon let's fly back to Berk." He began to mount Toothless.

"I am not leaving until I find out who locked me in that cave for two years!" I shouted and walked towards the clump of buildings.

"Allysa no you could get captured again." He said and followed me.

"Two years I rotted away in there and I don't even know who's responsible for it. I'm not just gonna let this slip past me." I said and stormed off. Hiccup went to Toothless and started flying. He then grabbed me in Toothless's claws.

"Hiccup put me down!" I shouted. I doubt he could hear me over the wind though.

"Not a chance feisty pants." He said and looked down at the buildings. We landed in front of what looked like an arena. We were on the ground and he looked at me. "You aren't finding this guy alone."

YAY UPDATE!

We will find out who the kidnapper is in the next chapter which I will try and update either later today or late tomorrow since my competition starts tomorrow.

I'll be leaving at 6 a so I gotta wake up like SUPER EARLY.

Cause that's what every teen wants to do on summer vacation.
