Chapter 4

Astrid's POV

I went a little slower to get to the academy because I wanted time to think. I was so excited for my date with Hiccup but I don't know what will happen after. If all goes well, which I hope it does, I hope we'll get into a relationship. As soon as the academy was in sight, I began a decent to the land.

"Ah finally Astrid we've been waiting forever." Snotlout snapped rudely.

"Zip it Snotlout." I snapped back. I feel sassy.

"Ok let's begin the training exercise that we went over yesterday. Does everybody remember what to do?" Hiccup said while stepping over to Toothless.

"No." Said Ruffnut, Tuffnut, and Snotlout in unison.

"Ugh, just follow me or Astrid or Fishlegs." Hiccup groaned. He looks so cute when he's annoyed.

------Time Skip------

Once we were dismissed from the academy, I went to my house to get ready for my date with Hiccup. I wonder where we're going or what we're doing. He didn't tell me anything about it. I was curious but also kinda nervous. I looked at the time, oh gods he's gonna be here in one hour. I need to get dressed.

But then I heard a knock at the door.

Oh dear gods he's here.

"Uh... Hold on I'll be right down!" I wore my normal clothes with a fur hooded cloak. I rushed down the stairs and flung the door open to see a boy with a goofy smile.

"You ready?" Said Hiccup, smiling widely.

"Yeah. So where are we going? You never told me." I said, still curious on where we're going and what we're doing.

"It's a surprise. Now come on." He said reaching out his hand. I took his hand and let him pull me onto Toothless.

As we flew I looked at the ocean. The way the sun reflected on the water was so beautiful. I remembered the first time I flew on Toothless. We were in the clouds and everything was so beautiful. I could touch the clouds. It was, well, perfect.

I snapped out of my trance as we landed in a cove. It had a small lake and gorgeous trees. Then I realized where we were. This is where he kept Toothless when dragons were still our enemies.

"Hiccup, this is, beautiful." I said, at a loss for words. It looks like he spent so much time thinking about this. I've never seen this side of Hiccup. Has he really been hiding this?

"Not as beautiful as you." He said as his emerald eyes stared into mine. I could feel my heart melting.

------Time skip------

"That date was perfect. I would love to go out again. You know if it's ok with you, I mean, you know..." He stuttered. He's so cute when he's nervous. I interrupted him with a kiss on the lips.

"I would love to go out again." I said after I pulled away and walked into my house. But we heard a horn blow, followed by another 2.

"Uh oh, we're under attack." Hiccup said, nervously.
