-1 week later-

Hiccup's POV

It's been a whole week and I'm still getting 'congratulations Hiccup' from villagers. Some people have even said it more then once. Astrid and I were walking to the academy since we had to train today. We haven't trained in almost a whole week. We walked in.

"Morning everyone!" I said.

"Morning Hiccup!" Fishlegs said.

"Sup." said the twins at the same time. "Hey don't steal my thoughts!" Tuff shouted.

"You're the one that stole my thoughts!" Ruff retorted. They started fighting.

"Guys really? This early?" I said.

"We usually don't see a fight until the afternoon. Wonder what's gotten into them." Astrid said and placed her hands on her hips.

"This is the twins we're talking about. There's no way of telling what's next with them." Fishlegs pointed out. I walked over to them and pryed Tuffnut away from Ruffnut while Astrid pryed Ruffnut from Tuffnut.

"You guys done?" I asked now in the middle of them. They nodded and did their gross spit hand shake thing. "Ok training today is going to be knowing your way around Berk just incase of people trying to hunt you down. You have to know where to go and where good hiding spots are. I'll be walking around trying to find all of you. You have 2 minutes!" I shouted and everyone ran out except Astrid.

"Do I have to participate today?" She asked and walked along side me.

"If you don't want to you don't have to. This is your get-out-of-training-free card." I said and pat her stomach. She smiled widely.

"You think they've all hidden?" She asked.

"Yeah. How much do you want to bet that the twins are in an obvious spot?" I asked and faced her.

"2 runes."

"Deal." I said and we shook hands.

We walked through the town square and found the twins doing their mutton-head statue. It's where Ruff is on top of Tuff's shoulders and they have their arms out and jaws dropped.

"You loose." I whispered to Astrid and she gave me 2 runes from her pocket. "C'mon you two go wait at the academy." They groaned and walked back. Me and Astrid then went to the woods to look for Fishlegs or Snotlout.

We didn't have to walk long before we found Fishlegs in a cave in the woods.

"Good hiding spot Fishlegs. Go deeper into either cave then just the mouth of it next time though." I said and he walked back to the academy. "Any idea where Snotlout is?" I asked Astrid who was looking up in trees.

"Maybe right here." She said and looked up at a tree. He was hanging from his pants.

"How did you even manage to get into that position?" I asked.

"I don't even know anymore Hiccup." He answered. I whistled for Toothless and he came and blasted Snotlout out of the tree.

"Thanks bud." I said.

"Hey how come she isn't hiding?" Snotlout questioned.

"She has a pass for the next few months." He explained.

"Oh so just because she's pregnant she gets to skip out on training?" He said.

"Wow he actually got it on the first try." Astrid whispered loudly to me.

"Hey I have ears! And feelings!" He stated loudly.

"Just meet back at the academy." I said and pointed in the direction the academy was in. I started walking back and Astrid joined me.

"Hey Hiccup is something wrong? You seem a little... different." She asked and went in front of me, forcing me to stop. I was looking at the ground, but she crouched down and met my eyes, forcing me to look up.

"Just still trying to figure this out." I said and gestured to all of me.

She sighed and gave me a kiss. It was romantic since it was sunset and were in a beautiful spot in the forest. It started getting dark.

"We need to go back before anything happens to us." I said. We walked back to the academy and found everyone there waiting. "Ok guys good job today. We might have to go over hiding spots though. Dismissed." I waved my name and everyone left.

"C'mon let's head home. I can tell you're tired." Astrid said and grabbed my hand. We walked back home, fingers intertwined. Everyone was eating in the Great Hall, so the village had a peaceful quietness to it.

Astrid's POV

I looked at Hiccup, who was looking around.

"Something wrong?" I asked.

"I feel like we're being followed. Whistle for Stormfly and get to my parents house. My dad and mom should be there. If it's nothing, I'll be there, but if it's not nothing, you know what I'll be doing." He said.

"But Hiccup I can-" I started.

"No. I'm not risking you or our child. Go to my parents house. Now." He commanded. I had no choice but to do what he said. I whistled and Stormfly came from the sky, I then flew to Hiccup's parents house and barged in.

"Astrid almost gave me a heart attack. What's wrong?" Valka said.

"Hiccup felt we were being followed so he forced me to come here for my own protection. I tried to convince him to let me fight but he wouldn't budge." I explained.

"Hiccup's right Astrid. You're not fighting given your current condition." Stoick said. Sounded just like Hiccup. They really are more alike then they think.

"Hiccup could get hurt!" I shouted.

"He's got Toothless right?" Valka asked. I gave a nod.

"Bah nothing can hurt Hiccup so long as that Night Fury is around. It's a Night Fury!" Gobber said from a chair behind Stoick. I didn't even realize he was here. But he had a good point.

"He'll be fine Astrid. Where were you guys when he got that sense?" Stoick asked.

"Right near the town square. Where that odd clump of trees is." I said. Then, Stoick went running out with an axe in hand.

"Wait Stoick!" Valka shouted. I stopped her from running after him. Gobber came and helped me restrain her.

"You can't go out there. Hiccup and Stoick told us to stay here. We have to listen to them." Gobber said. She sat in her chair and took deep breathes.

"Okay. I'll be fine. With those two fighting together WITH a Night Fury, I don't know what would get past them." She said. I really hope Hiccup will be okay.

Hiccup's POV

I was searching the weird clump of trees that is next to the town square for who or what was following me and Astrid. I heard rustling and turned my sword to it.

"AH! Dad? What are you doing here?" I said.

"I'm your backup." He pat my back.

"Wait dad I need you at the house protecting Astrid." I pleaded.

"Nope. I have your mother and Gobber there watching her. Plus the dragons. Not sure what good Grump is, but Cloudjumper and Stormfly." He said and rubbed his beard.

"Dad go back. Astrid needs all the defense she can get. Your the perfect man for the job. Just go back and defend her, Mom, Gobber the dragons and the child that growing in Astrid." I said, almost sounding like I was ordering him to do it. Uh oh.

"Are you ordering me to do something?" He asked.

"Uh well I'm just-" I scratched the back of my neck. He let out a loud laugh.

"Alright Hiccup I'll go back. But only since you just told your father to do something. It took 20 years but the wait was worth it. Be careful Hiccup." He said and walked out of the tree clump. That's something I should never do again. Not unless I wanna loose another limb.

I kept walking with Toothless and looking around for people. I felt that weird sense again. I turned around and saw someone leaning against a tree. They were only a shadow so I couldn't make out any physical features.

"Hello?" I asked and took a step toward the mystery person.

"Are you Hiccup Haddock?" They asked.

"Yeah. Why?" I asked back.

The figure snapped their fingers and me and Toothless were tied up.

"What are you doing?!" I shouted.

"That's enough out of you." He said and knocked me unconscious.

Astrid's POV

"He should be back by now! It doesn't take 3 hours to fight off someone with a flaming sword and a Night Fury!" I shouted and paced frantically.

"I'm going out there to look. You three stay here." Stoick said.

"I'm going with you. I need to know if he's okay." I said loudly.

"Fine. But you stay close. If anything happened to you I wouldn't be able to live with myself." he said and walked out.

I followed him closely with my axe in my hand. We had Skullcrusher sniff out where Hiccup would be. He led us to the trees where there are boot prints. But there were two. Hitch only leaves one.

"Someone was following us." I said.

"And it looks like they got Hiccup." Stoick said. I knelt down and let the few tears escape. Stoick patted my back and guided me back to his house.

We got back and I was still crying. Valka and Gobber both had the 'Hiccup is gone?' Look on their faces. Stoick nodded and Valka came to comfort me.

"Astrid will be staying here until we find him. I don't want her alone. She could be in danger too. I'm calling an emergency meeting at the Great Hall." Stoick said and walked out. I followed him and helped call everyone to the Great Hall.

"Alright everybody listen up! Hiccup has been kidnapped. Now we don't know who the kidnappers are or where they're from. All we know is we need to track him down and bring him home as safe and unharmed as possible. Ready all ships and dragons at sunrise!" Stoick shouted. I was talking with the gang.

"Astrid he'll be alright. Hiccup always finds a way to get out of these situations." Fishlegs said and comforted me. He was siting on my right side and Tuffnut was on my left side. Ruffnut was in front of my and Snotlout was preparing the dragons. I stood up.

"We're finding Hiccup. Even if I have to fly to the ends of the Earth. I will find him and he will be back home safely." I said with courage. I walked back to Hiccup's parents house and went to bed.

Even though I put up this courageous disguise, I was crying deep inside.
