Cotton Candy is a important figure in Bret's backstory. She is known for her kindness,good heart,and patience. She was born in a small city Hedgedwood,Markeland which is a few miles from Marcity. Any who At the age of 7 Cotton was teased for being a classic example of "Beauty with little brains." The other fillies and Colts disliked her due to her not being able to learn as quickly as them. Hedgedwood glorified knowledge and those who couldn't keep up was thought as inferior. At the age of 12 her bullying ceased from the Colts as they all seemed to fall over heels for her. She had realised that she didn't want that much attention drawn to herself so she did her best to avoid her male classmates. At the age of 15 is when her life changed for ever. One day outside her parents candy shop,Cotton saw a unfamiliar Stallion reading under a tree with another stallion with shades on. She decided to draw them in so she can buy some candy from her family store,but the grey stallion caught her attention. He showed little attention to her whatsoever. That was a first and she kinda liked it, so for a few weeks they hung out with each other and grew close. After Bret told her he had to continue his adventure,She had a idea that she could join them. After getting permission and if only her brother Pepper accompanied them, Cotton and her brother Turned Bret and Lynal from a duo to a small group, They started feeling romantic feelings and started dating each other but the bad things were about to begin. Darren swore revenge on Cotton's Coltfriend and saw her as a way to get back at him. So at the age of 17, many things happened to her. First her and Bret started planning their future with each other. They were going to started a Bookstore/Candy store named "Bookspree and Candy", but suddenly Cotton started feeling ill,Shortly after their last Confrontation with The L.O.S.E.R.S. Before her 18 birthday, Cotton passed away from the Diesel Flu and Bret swore to use their dream to keep her remembered and he did.
