~Three Days After Assassination Mission~

The long grim hallway was recently illuminated. The bright L.E.D lighting was reflecting off the metal walls. Slade Wilson, or more widely known as DrathStroke the Terminator was walking down the hall. Hands behind his back, thinking about what they should do with their weapon next. He made it to the first room. The room where Robin had first waken up in. The metal doors slid upwards as he stepped in. The doors slid down behind him.

There he saw a scientist, one who held makes the serum to give Robin a little push in the correct direction, watching Robin. Or as they call him, Renegade.

" Dr. Hampton, Is there something wrong with Richard?" Slade asked in a formal and bored tone. The scientist, or Dr. Hampton looked at the Assassin. The doctor pushed up his glasses.

" Project Renegade is experience some Fear Gas tests. Owlman gave me the ok to test him on his strengths against different agents and serums" Dr. Hampton said as he wrote on his clipboard. He was observing Richards reaction. Writing down what he saw Richard doing, How Richard reacted.

" I see" Slade said as he turned towards the Dark hair boy in the all metal room. The boys head was vast downward, the boys bangs covering his eyes. Slade saw the small movements the boy make with his fingers or when his jaw twitched.

" Carry On" Slade said as he walked out of the room the same way he came in. The door slid down as he exited. Solemnly walking down the hall with his hands behind his back.

{3rd Person in Renegade's Mind}

The two young children ran throughout the beautiful, yet dark and eerie forest together.

The cold winter air nipped at their skin and lips. Making their small frames shake, their cold bodies shook softly because they were slowly adjusting to the cold.

Small hands grasped in each other as fits of giggles were shared. The girl was giggling at her friends expression. The girls hair was a pale blond, white even, her skin was pale but her eyes were a bright sea foam green.

The boys hair was a raven and pitch black combination, like a shadow, his skin was an olive tanned but his eyes were as blue, clear and dark as the ocean. He looked up at his friend, confused, she was taller than him. She kept giggling and looking at him. They continued to walk at a steady pace and then stopped.

" What?" The small raven haired boy asked as he laughed after the word. The pale haired girl giggled and pointed to his nose. He looked cross eyed at his nose and saw a butterfly on it. The butterfly was small but its pale, sickly blue wings were mesmerizing. The boy stared at it in awe. But soon it started to fly away from the giggling duo.

She sat down on a nearby stump as he sat next to her. The wind lightly blew her hair to the right. The skies were a light overcast, utterly it was beautiful in the forest at the moment.

She giggled as she noticed her once white dress was practically ruined with mud and dirt. Her face had some dusty areas but she still smiled. The boy looked up to her and had a smile on his face. He kicked his feet back and forth as they sat on the stump, listening to the noises of the forest. The girl  hummed whenever the birds in the forest would chirp or fly by.

The girl slid off her shoes and stood up. The boy looked at her as she made a silly face. He giggled at her action and she smiled, then she tagged his shoulder. She turned her back to him.

" Tag your it" she said in a fit if giggles and began running. As fast as her little legs could take her. The wind began to get a bit stronger as the time past. Her body adjusted to the cold as she ran faster. Her warm breathes could be seen in the cold air.

The boy wasn't far behind, his white breathes were seen in cold air as he panted trying to catch up with her. The twigs breaking under his feet as he picked up the pace.

The forest fell deadly silent as he tripped over a root and came crashing to the ground. He rolled on the floor and his back hit a tree lightly to stop him from rolling. His breathing deepened as he sat up slowly and looked around. He didn't see any sign of her. He didn't see any sign of his pale friend running and giggling in the forest.

The girl slowed down and began walking, she found herself before a dark, murky lake. The overcast skies showed there colors on the lakes reflective, smooth surface. She looked around trying to find her friend. She couldn't see the messy black haired child or hear his small giggles. All she heard was the eerie silence of the forest. Not even the wind whispered a sound. Just silence. She looked towards the trees. You could see the first couple rows then all you would see was darkness.

" Dickie?" The girl asked out but no response came. She took a shaky breath as she looked back at the murky water. The darkly over casted sky still held some light as she sighed. Her small feet were muddy because she was running with no shoes.

" Help Me" a small voice said, barely audible. The girl walked closer to the water and saw something coming. The sky slowly began to get darker. She squinted to see if she could get a better look. Her breathing and heart rate picked up and she saw her own heated breath in the cold December air. She heard the rustling of leaves around her. The water remained still and didn't move to the winds rhythm.

" Hello?" The girl asked our, still confused. Her mind kept trying to think about what just happened. She looked over the water, she could easily do so because she was only 3 feet away. She was listening for the messed black haired boys voice and the small voice who asked for her to help.

" Help Me" the smaller voice increased, much more audible than the first time. The girl looked around to see if anything had happened. She sighed to herself because nothing happened. Then just as she turned around to go find her messy haired friend.

" I SAID HELP ME!" The voice screamed.

The boy stood up shakily as he continued to look for his pale friend. He began to dust off the dirt and leaves from his jacket. He walked throughout the darkly lit forest, then he stopped abruptly as he saw a patch of blue flower.

He had never see flowers like these, they held a small light in the eerie eternal darkness. He crouched down by the patch and looked at the flowers detail. The top of the sharply cornered petals were black then it went to a lightly sky blue at the bottom. The black and the pale sky blue brushed into each other as a black spot come here and there on the petals. The stems of the flowers were brown as if they were dead, but they was alive. The inside of the petals was a grayish white then molded to black as it got closer to the end of the petal.

The boy grabbed a flower and pulled it out of the ground. He lightly placed the flower in his hoodie pocket and he heard a high pitched scream. His threw his head up at the sound of it. His heart beat picked up, so did the wind.

" Help Me!"

" What?" The boy asked himself after the voice yelled out. The voice was barely audible. His hair blew lightly to the right as the wind began to pick up speed.

" Help Me!!" The same voice of plea cried out louder and the boys eyes widened. He knew that voice.

" KAYLA!" He yelled and began running towards the noise of the screams. He pushed past trees and the leaves danced with the wind.

" Help Me" the same voice cried again and he picked up the speed, running faster than ever before. He pushed past the last row of trees. He skid to a stop at a dark murky lake. The water wasn't still, it was rippling and you couldn't see the darker over casted skies, he saw bubbles come up from the lake and his eyes widened. The wind picked up and blew his hair out of his eyes.

" Kayla!" The boy yelled and she came thrashing in the water taking a deep breath. The water dripped down her face as she turned towards her dark haired friend. He could see her visible shaking in the water, it was freezing because of the cold season.

He stuck out a small hand and she tried to grab it. She was so close before being pulled under again. He saw her form struggling under water. He looked around for anything to help save her. His heart rate and breathing increased since he was running out of time.

The trees whistled as the wind blew the branches and hummed against the leaves. The tree tops swayed as if listening to a song. The lake had been surrounded by dozens of white birch trees, the leaves weren't green with color they were brown with there last dying speech. Some leave broke off and danced slowly to the floor in the wind.

" Kayla!" The boy yelled and tried to help his pale haired friend. He rolled up the sleeves of his jacket as he began to scavenge for a something, anything to help her. Then everything went silent. He turned his body towards the lake. Hoping he wasn't to late.

He started freaking out when a small bubble slowly made its way to the surface of the rippling lake, before the air bubble popped. His heart stopped as did his movements. He hoped that she would thrash out of the water and be ok. He prayed that she would.

The wind still whistled a toon, like it was playing a sad song for what just happened. The overcast got darker as he felt small raindrops on his face, the wind was so cold it hurt as it blew harshly against his bare forearms. He saw a flash of white in the murky water then it slowly faded away deeper into the dark lake.

" Kayla?" he asked as the tears threatened in his oceanic blue eyes. Was that Kayla? What pulled her under? Will the same thing get me? Those thoughts ran through his head.

The threats to cry got harder to protest. He sank to his knees and they planted in the mud by the dark lake. The rain lightly pinged against the surface of the lake like glass. The drops rippled across the lake as the rain hit the lakes smooth surface.

He couldn't protest against the threats anymore. The tears came down his face as the rain dampened his hair and stuck to his forehead. His body shook as the rain gently doused him with water. His graze was directed downwards.

The wind was now howling loud and the boy began to shiver. The water dampened his jacket so it made him colder that he actually was. He didn't care. The rain dropped around him making the mud, watery around him. But in the mud appeared something small and round in front of him.

He saw a bracelet in front of his knees. His arms unwrapped from around his body. His small hands reached for the bracelet and picked it up. It was leather. The black leather was fading away from it being warn, the leather slowly thinning. He looked at it in his tiny hands and it had a once silver Celtic symbol. The pendent was dangling being held by a smaller piece of leather. The silver was fading and the bronze was appearing. This brought out how much the person who it belonged to actually wore it. He looked in the inside and saw an engraving.

To our daughter, Kayla Weston.

He sniffled and more tears fell. This was Kayla's. He remembers seeing this bracelet around her wrist now. His body shook as the wind gets stronger. He slips the bracelet into his hoodie pocket.

He slowly began to stand up. He stood up and his small body was the threatening to be pulled in the direction of the wind. But soon he ran. Ran away from the lake, away from the forest, away from it all.

He darts past trees and jumped over bushes. He jumped over a log and sloppily runs. His energy slowly leaving him like the color to his skin. His once olive skin tone, was now a pale white. Hypothermia.

He had his hands out as he jumped over another fallen tree, he kept his hand is out and his wrist hits a tree. He retracts his wrist as he curls it into his chest.

His body shivers violently but pushes on, hoping to see the circus spot lights in the sky soon. He kept hoping what he saw was a dream, praying he would wake up in his trailer from this nightmare. He sprints slowly up a muddy slope. His smaller feet trudge through the thick mud. He chokes out a sob as the wind gets stronger than earlier.

" Dick! Kayla!" Familiar Voices shouted and the boy froze as he shook violently, he had stage 2 Hypothermia.

He saw the flash of some flashlights. He felt his body begin to go numb. His face was wet with rain and tears, his hair stuck to his forehead, his skin was vaguely pale, his lips were blue, his hands stuck over his chest, his legs shaking and about to collapse.

His body vigorously shaking with the wind and the water was getting even colder. The wind had gotten so violent that went it hit the water dousing his body it hurt. His whole body was being burnt with a cold flame.

" Dick! Kayla!" The same familiar voices screamed again and he saw something bright shine on him. Everything was blurry in his eyes.

" Oh My God! Dick!" Someone called out and he saw the lights getting closer. His little legs could only hold so much now and he fell to his knees. The wind threw him onto his side. His body was shivering so fast, his teeth chattered as he tried getting warm.

The wind growled at his body like wild dogs were savagely attacking him. The once light grey overcast skies were now raven black with a storm.

Then came some lighting and thunder. The lighting was a bright blue. You could clearly see the blue streaks thrashing violently in the sky. The thunder cracked like a bomb, loud and deafening.

The lightning brief light from the made the trees look like a demented story never told. Showing all the little imperfection and small things that the naked eyes would never notice.

" Dick!" A woman's voice yelled and they saw the body of the boy shaking violently on the ground. Like he was having a seizure.

The boy couldn't talk, he pulled his legs up to his chest, so he could try to get warm. He felt a pair of warm hands on his face. But soon the hands got cold and he felt numb.

" Dick" the woman voice said softly and he felt her brushed the pads of her thumbs over his cheeks. He opened his eyes and saw the beautiful woman, his mom.

He felt someone pick him up and he was colder. He looked to see who it was and he saw a bloody half orange and black mask. The mans suit was drenched in water. The water slightly dripped from the mans sleeves at the hem of his shirt.

" It's ok Renegade. Your safe with me." The boy froze at the sudden voice. The voice wasn't welcoming. It was dangerous and held a harming demeanor to it.  The boy saw two other people appear. Where his mother once stood was two men. One man had an owl mask with golden accents and another man with a white beard and a serious expression. The boys eyes widened as the man in the Orange mask chuckled creepily.

" You'll always be safe with us."
