Everyone turned their heads to Asgore in confusion as Toriel gave a little glare.

"If we try to find him in the forest there is a possibility for you to get lost."

"And from what I have seen Sans knows the forest more than we do, he knows how to navigate through those thick trees." He explained as he looked down.

"We don't have an excuse if he spots us and whatever he might be hiding from us will become harder to find out."

Undyne slowly nodded her head in understanding as she faced Papyrus.

"Say Papyrus, have you ever entered Sans' room?" She asked as the skeleton nodded his head in confusion.

"YES, HE ONLY GIVES ME THE KEY TO HIS ROOM WHEN I CLEAN IT TOUGH, WHY DO YOU ASK?"

Alphys, who seemed to understand the fish monster's plan took out a little camera.

"Here Paps put it on your scarf and make sure it isn't seen." He grabbed the tiny camera and placed it on his scarf and made sure it wasn't seen.

"I think this is your first official mission Paps." Hearing this the tall skeleton grinned in excitement.

"I see, I trust you make this mission a success Papyrus, we'll be here watching." Asgore said as Paps nodded and looked at Undyne.

"The plan is really simple, text Sans that everyone decided to go home and ask where's his key to his room and say that you're going to clean his room."

"AND THEN?" Papyrus asked as Alphys adjusted her glasses as a screen showed what the camera was seeing.

"T-try to find a-anything t-that could be r-related to t-those things we have s-seen."

In the sidelines, Frisk looked down a bit nervous from what they saw.

'So there's more to the resets than I thought?' They shook their head and held a determined look.

'Well whatever Sans is hiding we'll find out eventually! I just hope they don't lose their sanity once they learn about it.'

Frisk stared at their hands that were slightly shaking but bawled them into a fist as they snapped back into reality.

"THERE I TEXTED HIM AND HE SAID IT'S PROBABLY UNDER THE SOFA, WELL WISH ME LUCK THEN!" Papyrus said as he exited the lab, the screen showing where he was going.

As Paps arrived and found the key he took off the camera from his scarf, looked around before speaking to it.

"ERM, IS IT OKAY IF I CHANGE INTO THE CLOTHES I USE FOR CLEANING?"

Undyne brought up the mic and replied, "Just cover the camera Paps, we don't want to raise Sans' suspicion if you clean with your normal clothes."

With that Paps covered the camera and changed into some pants and a long sleeved sweater before attaching it to the collar.

"Yeesh Sans needs to clean his room." Undyne muttered until she let out a silent 'woah' when she saw the tiny tornado.

"Wh-why don't y-you check the dr-drawers Papyrus?" Alphys suggested as the skeleton opened one, and grabbed a few papers that were under some clothes.

Papyrus looked around before slowly taking the papers.

"It wouldn't hurt to look, right?" He mumbled as he looked at the papers, placing the camera on top of the drawers so it can also see.

Everyone stared at the first paper in confusion as Asgore spoke on the mic.

"Do you know what it says Papyrus?" Paps slowly looked at the letters recognizing a few.

"D-don't look." He flipped the page to see a few strange drawings and flipped some more until one slipped.

He gently picked it up only to drop the others as he shakily gripped it.

It was a picture of him, his face showing sadness as his arms were slightly opened, appearing as if he was suggesting a hug.

"He... Bel..ie..ve..d....I..n..y..o...u."

Paps slowly read the weird language, the gang at the lab were speechless as they all heard the sound of a door opening.

"Hey bro..." Sans said as he entered the room, the people at the lab slightly panicking.

"You still cleaning up in he-" Sans stopped as he saw his brother holding a page with the others on the floor.

"Are those my..."

Papyrus turned around with tears running down his cheekbines as he held his neck lightly.

*looks like you helped him remember something you didn't want him to...

"S-sans?"

"Please explain..." He mumbled as Sans sighed, his eyesockets a pitch black.

"Well why don't we go back to the lab?" He suggested, eyeing the camera with his pitch black sockets as everyone noticed his fake grin.

Classic: guys I have bad news

Ink: let me guess they found out about our secret?

Classic: technically no

Classic: Papyrus remembers the resets

Error: well is he taking it in well?

Classic: not really but it's better than I pictured it

Classic: he's only getting lost in his thoughts and seems a bit uncomfortable around Frisk now

Blue: well at least he isn't scared of them

Edge: if Boss remembered the resets he would just probably stare at Frisk in disbelief

Geno: yeah like 'this child can kill?!'

Sans let out a dry laugh at the texts, gaining him a few looks.

"S-so Sans... Do you have t-the USB w-with y-you?" Alphys asked as the skeleton looked at her with an emotionless gaze.

"Yeah, it would help explain anyway." He said simply, hiding the fact that he copied it and gave it to Ink.

"So what is it you're hiding from us that seems so important?" Undyne said as she glared at Sans, who stayed silent.

"Sans, I know that whatever you are hiding is a bit too much, but I'm sure we can handle it." Asgore explained, trying to coax the skeleton.

"It's not that." This perked up everyone's interest as Sans spoke.

"I was just thinking how it wouldn't really matter, I mean if the player finds out and resets you guys might forget all of this happened."

Everyone stared at him in confusion and frustration as Undyne stepped up, "How could we forget something as important as this?!"

*"With just a click of a button." Everyone flinched as they turned to the silent child in shock, except for one.

"F-frisk you know a-about t-this?" Alphys asked as the child gave a little nod and shook their head as well.

*"I know about the resets but what I saw today is something Sans never told me."

"Come to think of it." Mettaton piped up as Napstablook stayed silent with their head looking down.

"How could you remember all of this in the first place?" A few nodded as Papyrus gave his brother a knowing look.

"Well then, why don't we start from the beginning then?"
