~Royal Fantasy AU PART 1~
Awase's POV
In a world where kings and queens live, dragons, fairies and magic exists, it is almost impossible to deny that true love can exist in a world such as like this. Although, not every love story can end up as you expected, especially where this world comes with no equality.
I come from a poor family yet we were given a task to work in the castle as maids and servants under the ruling of the Yaoyorozu's.
A royal family who may seem strict yet still carry a warm heart, especially the only daughter in their family none other than Princess Momo Yaoyorozu.
She was just a beauty in my eyes, so perfect in every way. She has one of the kindest hearts I've ever met and she herself just made me fall in love with her instantly and completely.
My position as a servant for Princess Yaoyorozu is already a miracle for me for I get to be much closer to her, yet the only thing I'm deeply depressed is that she's already gonna marry Prince Todoroki, a young man who is heir to the throne in their kingdom, same thing with the princess.
I was walking in the halls to tell Princess Yaoyorozu about her classes when it comes to dancing in the Royal Ball that will be happening next week.
I have been her servant for quite a long time. In fact, ever since she was crowned princess, I became her servant. I guess you can say she and I have been friends for quite a long time yet we still keep ourselves professional when we're around each other.
I knocked on her door and called her, "Princess Yaoyorozu, it's time for your dance classes."
The door was opened, revealing a sleepy Princess Yaoyorozu rubbing her eye and yawning.
"What time is it?"
"It's time for your dance classes..? Also, did you slept in right after breakfast?" I asked.
"Maybe.."
I sighed, "Come on your majesty, you must get yourself prepared before your mother finds out."
"Didn't I tell you not to call me 'your majesty'??" She smirked.
I chuckled, "Yes, but I still must speak to you like this since we're technically not having any free days."
She giggled, "Fine, but please don't call me that so often. We've been friends for a long time and you calling me that is not something you deserve after all your hard work for me."
I smiled, "I understan Pri- I mean Momo."
"Tell mother I'll be down in five minutes." She said and I bowed to her.
She then closed the doors and I went down to inform her mother.
Five minutes have passed and Momo came down the steps in her beautiful yet simple dress of hers.
Every time she would do this, it never fails me to feel in such awe seeing her this beautiful even with no effort.
"Alright, let's begin. We only have one week for this so please make it count." The queen said.
"Am I going to damce with some random guy I don't know again? Having Prince Todoroki be my future husband is enough for me to be with someone who I completely don't know." She crossed her arms.
"Young lady, that was very rude behaviour and I hope you avoid using such attitude during the ball." Her mother scold her.
I just kept quiet since I don't want to interfere their conversation.
The queen then cleared her voice, "Since I know how much you can't actively cope with the different dancers I sent, I decided to have you dance with Awase."
Both our eyes widened in surprise, "What?!"
"Is there a problem?"
"No no no there is no problem it's just, it's so sudden for you to make him be my guide for the dance." She said.
"Plus, I barely even know the steps." I added.
The queen sighed, "Depsite all these things that you both say are true, you both have created such a bond together and it might be best considering the fact that both of you are comfortable with each other."
Momo and I both looked at each other, obviously sharing the same reaction coming from the mouth of her own mother.
"Please, sweetie? Plus even with both of your lack of knowledge in this dance, you both will certainly have a great time learning together on how to dance." She said.
I looked back at her and she turned to me. I nodded as a sign saying that it's her choice to choose.
The princess sighed, "Okay mother, I kinda like this idea way better anyways."
Her mother smiled, "Thank you sweetie."
I was getting quite a lot nervous, I know nothing about dancing especially the type in Royal Balls.
Few minutes later, we continued Princess Momo's dance lessons. She was getting better and better and was getting used to dancing it now.
I was just completely shy and nervous throught the whole dance class cause I've never been so close to the girl I love like this.
"Psst, Awase."
I snapped out of my trance and caught her attention, "Y-Yes?"
"Wanna go out to the castle garden tonight?"
"U-Umm..sure."
She smiled.
"Alright, that's enough. We'll continue the classes tomorrow. Thank you for your assistance, Awase." The queen said.
"It is my pleasure, your highness." I replied as Momo and I let go of each other.
The queen then went up the steps as I bowed to Momo before leaving.
I then felt my hand being grabbed by hers.
"Awase."
I turned to her, "Is there something you need, Momo?"
"No it's just..." I can see that she was slightly blushing, "Umm..I just want to say that...umm..y-you were really a great partner! Y-Yeah, I was supposed to say that." She nervously laughed.
I chuckled, "Thank you Momo, but there is no doubt that you were better than me."
"Nonsense, I think we both did great."
She and I had our cheeks slightly heating up as we noticed she was still holding my hand.
"O-Oops...s-sorry, my bad." Momo nervously chuckled.
I did the same, "I-It's alright."
"Well umm...I'll see you tonight?" Momo asked to clarify.
"Of course!!" I smiled.
