Change is the only constant

Almira's pov
It's been a week since I was told about my guards. June and I promised our mates that well move in after two weeks and to say they're ecstatic is an understatement. They were doing the paper work on their own. Sure, they whined extremely when we suggested for two weeks, they realised its better than nothing.

'Almira, are you ready?'

'In a minute'

'Please be quick. I miss you'

I rolled my eyes, Wyatt was very restless these days and I'm beginning to wonder why. Devon is right here but he still wants to pick me up every morning. Dev says it's cute. Cute my ass

I skipped down the stairs and made myself comfortable in Wyatt's car

     "Good morning Al"

     "Morning" I reply

He leans in a kisses me, trailing his lips to my mark

     "Wyatt"

     "Don't leave a hickey please"

He groaned before releasing me grumbling something about how I'm spoiling his fun. He then started the car

     "You already have your mark on me. Isn't that enough?"

      "Humans" he said

     "I'm yours Wyatt"

He grumbled but nodded all the same. It's hard to believe he's the big bad alpha

He didn't fit the role.

     "Hey do marks fade and have to be done again"

     "No, why? It can't fade but can be done again"

     "Ok"

     "Why are you asking that"

     "Nothing" I said

     "I want to see your mark"

     "There's nothing wrong with my mark"

     "I still want to see it"

Reluctantly, I let him get a closer view on it and he gave it quick glance before turning back to the road. My mark was fading but not noticeable enough and I don't want Wyatt to know. From his relaxed posture, I was sure he didn't notice any thing.

Wyatt's pov
If she didn't want me to know I wasn't gonna say anything. My mark was fading. It was hardly noticeable but noticeable all the same. I wondered what caused it, I'm gonna have to go to the elders and ask for an explanation tomorrow.

Lately, Luke's been on my ass. He wants to mate with Almira and I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to too. But unlike my wolf I try to keep my human side rational. She was giving me a severe case of blue balls and I've resulted to jerking off her pictures. It's crazy but it's true

'Wyatt' a voice said in my head. I was too sleepy to recognise it

'Wyatt ' it called again

'Yeah? Who's this? '

'It's Devon, look you need to get here now I just called Zayn and kyle'

'The hell man, it's 1: 36 in the freaking morning' I said after checking the time.

'It's about Almira'

That made all sleep disappear

'I'm on my way'

I growled and shifted into my wolf and sprinted towards Devon's apartment. When he was choosing an apartment, he made sure to get one closer to the forest. Shifting back and wearing my pj's I rushed in

     "What happened" I growled

     "Hold on" Devon said

     "Hold on for what" I growled at him

He sighed "Zayn and Kyle"

Just that moment Kyle appeared. He was in a suit?

He must've noticed my confused expression and said "Different time zones, I was in a meeting"

I nodded

     "You were in a meeting? " Devon asked

     "Yes, can I see Almira now"

I growled at his statement

Zayn rushed in and we were all lead to Almira's room

'Why are they going in her room'

'We can do that another time Luke, Almira needs us now'

He growled but agreed

When we walked in, my heart froze

     "H-h-how?" Zayn said

     "I was checking on her like I always do and I saw her like this" he said

      "But I didn't feel pain, not an ounce of uncomfortableness. Why?"

Kyle walked closer to her and removed something from her leg with magic

     "Worn out" he said as he held the small ball in his hands

     "What?" Zayn asked

     "I put it in the girls along with a tracker. This minimizes pain or removes it completely and it served it's purpose. She had a smooth shift"

In front of me, sleeping, lay the most beautiful wolf. A midnight black wolf. Along with her addicting scent, her beta blood makes me wonder what I did to have such a goddess as my mate.

I just know she's mine

All mine

I know this was short like hell. I thought and still think it's short
