I opened my eyes as I sat on the bed in the extra bedroom. I could hear Ivor and Diesel talking in calm voices while Petra was resting in her room.

  I felt the familiar pain in my head and winced. Reuben whimpered and brought me a tissue, which meant that my nose was bleeding again. 

Damn it. What the heck was wrong with me? I shivered and Reuben climbed up next the me and buried his head in my hands. 

"Thanks, Reuben." I said and he barked softly. I looked up and saw the clock. 5:34 p.m. I was so hungry but Diesel was making steak (in honor for Ivor and Petra's return). 

I closed my eyes.
