A month. A month and five days. Diesel was upset as much as I was. Olivia... was worried for Axel. My two best friends. 

  I reached over to Petra's bed and took her hand gently. Gingerly. I think we were cursed from the start... Another stab of pain, another wave brought me down. 

  The only way I could sleep was when I took her hand, then I could sleep.
