7. "behind the bookshelves"
The 14th of February. A day I always used to not to care about, an idiotic idea. However now, being in a relationship, I was extremely excited. Since my roommates all were single they had planned a movie night.
"What are you two doing tonight?", Mina asked me as she was putting the pizza into the oven.
I shrugged. I had no idea what Jungkook and I would be doing to be honest.
"You guys haven't planned anything? Don't tell me you'll creep around the library again.", Veronica joined us in the kitchen.
"Excuse me? Having a date in the library is so much more romantic than grinding against each other in a club!", I stormed off the kitchen and passed Krystal leaning against the wall.
"Touché.", Krystal giggled.
Even though I had closed the door of my room I could clearly hear Veronica saying:"It would've been a touché if they didn't spend every freaking date in that library."
In fact we didn't spend every date in the library. While we were of course hanging out there a lot, we also very often went for walks. Jungkook always had to tell me interesting stories about buildings and even if they weren't that exciting I pretended them to be.
Not trying to let myself be pulled down by Veronica's words I walked towards the library where Jungkook, as usual, was waiting for me. He reached his hand out and pulled me towards him.
"Happy Valentines day, sweetie.", he grinned as he kissed me.
"Happy Valentines day.", I smiled back at him.
"I have a surprise for you."
My eyebrows rose and I could feel my heart jumping up and down. Jungkook of course had planned something special and I felt weird for a second having underestimated him and his romantic abilities.
"Follow me.", he put his arm around my waist as we started to walk.
The air was cold so when you breathed it looked as if you were smoking. But walking besides Jungkook, I wasn't freezing at all.
"I have never spent Valentines day with someone else before.", I started the conversation as we were walking.
"Me neither, that's why I'm trying to make our first so special."
I smiled feeling very grateful. I swiftly kissed him on the cheek, earning a warm smile from him.
Soon the path became extremely familiar. We were walking to the old library.
As we arrived I was surprised to see that there was a light inside the house. We walked upstairs and my eyes widened in surprise when I saw him grabbing keys from his pocket.
"How?", I gasped but he shushed me, unlocking the door.
We were welcomed by a huge hall with old looking but not dusty furniture in it. Everything looked so royal and I was afraid to touch anything. This library was so much more beautiful than the old one and all I could do was stare in awe. The chandelier above us was lighting up the hall.
"Jungkook!", I turned around towards him.
My legs felt wobbly as I was so touched.
"Do you like the surprise?", he put off his jacket and laid it down on a chair.
"Are you kidding me, this is the best date ever in history!"
He stepped behind me and took off my jacket and put it on the chair too.
"I thought you'd like it.", he said, "Let's go upstairs."
He grabbed my hand and I cheerfully followed him. The stairs were cracking throughout us using them. As we arrived it looked completely different from downstairs. Jungkook explained to me that the hall downstairs used to be filled with tables for the students whereas this had been the 'real' library, filled with bookshelves. However a high percentage of the books had been transported into the new library, which made the dark room now look kind of sad with many empty bookshelves.
There was only one big window in the whole room. Still hand in hand, we walked towards that window and sat down on a sofa in front of it. The moon was directly in front of us, giving us a bit of its light. Jungkook put his arms around me. Soon after, he cuddled his face into the crook my neck, causing me to chuckle.
"Don't ever forget this, okay?", he mumbled, grabbing my hands.
"How could I?", I looked at him but his eyes were fixed on my lips.
"I don't know. Promise me that you won't ever forget me."
I rose my eyebrows, confused of his sudden sensitivity. Most of the times it had been me, showing my sensitive side, but this was the first time I saw him like that.
"I can swear to you Jungkook, that I will never ever forget you."
"Okay good, because I love you."

The days were getting warmer and I was absolutely not ready for summer to come. Since Jungkook had told me that he loved me, three months had passed and I was confronted with summer slowly but surely approaching.
"I hate summer.", I sighed as I sat down beside Jungkook who was already studying.
"Hate is a strong word sweetheart.", he looked up at me, warming up my heart with his cute smile.
Jungkook was everything a girl ever wanted. He could do basically anything, he was perfect. With Jungkook by your side you could be sure to have fun, a lot of fun. But also you could be serious with him and tell him all your secrets knowing he wouldn't tell anyone else. He had this very masculine side, rarely showing his sensitivity and of course his very well built body. But at times he was the very cute boyfriend who you just wanted to cuddle with all day.
And I was so lucky to call him mine.
"Whatever.", I laughed and stood up to get some books.
The books I needed were in a bookshelf on the other side of the hall. It was in this area that the most students were. Watching out for the bookshelf I didn't notice Hoseok and couldn't prevent us from bumping into each other.
Books fell from his hands and I could feel the blood shooting straight to my cheeks.
"I'm so sorry.", I picked his books up and when I looked up I met Hoseok's surprised gaze.
"Cinder", he mumbled, "Long time no see."
"Yeah, you're right.", I looked to the ground, suddenly embarrassed.
"Have you- Have you found other study buddies? You know you were always my favourite buddy to study with."
"I haven't found other study buddies, I'm just always with my boyfriend now.", I apologised, still not being able to look at him.
"I see...", he nodded, "We have new members now. Taehyung and Namjoon, they're sitting right there. Would you like to say hi to them?"
I really appreciated his kind offer, but I wasn't really interested in getting to know them and to be honest also not in the mood to keep on talking to him.
"Actually I think my boyfriend is waiting for me. I don't think I should let him wait too long. But thank you for your offer!", I nodded at him.
Hoseok just smiled at me but didn't say anything anymore. His smile felt off and I kept on trying to figure out why it had felt so weird, however I didn't come to a conclusion so I just quickly grabbed the books and quickly walked back to our table. As I arrived I almost dropped the books, noticing Jungkook had left.
I looked for a note from him, maybe telling me the reason why he had left but there was nothing. He had simply left.
✿✿✿
Worn out I got back home. Even though I had finally gotten the chance to actually study in the library, since Jungkook didn't distract me, he distracted me even more with his absence. The girls were all sitting in the living room, studying. I really should've studied and I felt bad for simply not being able to. Thoughts of Jungkook were spinning in my head.
"Hey, what's wrong?", Mina asked when I walked pass them.
"Nothing?", I sneered.
"Dark clouds in your paradise?", Krystal giggled.
"Is it Jungkook?", now Veronica also interfered.
"That's none of your business, okay?", I walked into the kitchen to get some water.
My head was literally boiling and the girls were not helping me in any way. At this moment I just wanted to be left alone and see no one. Any interaction with me was dangerous at this point, but my roommates just didn't know my limits.
"I think that Jungkook guy is strange anyway.", Krystal crunched her chips.
"Well, you can't say that you've never met him.", Mina probably tried to stand up for me.
But she didn't even have to try. She started this and for that alone she was the one I was the most mad at. Why didn't the girls just stay in their own business?
"That's brings us to the point, when will we finally meet him?",Krystal spilled oil into the fire.
"Never!", I snapped as I quickly went into my room.
"Well I've seen him today.", Veronica informed the girls quietly after I had closed the door violently.
My eyebrows shot up but instead of telling her to shut up I wanted to listen what she said.
"He's super handsome indeed. I think they fought because he left after I saw them talking. At least I could tell from his expression that he locked very pissed off."
"Should we go talk to her?, I heard Mina mumble.
"No. Or do you want to loose your head?", Krystal laughed and I heard them going silent again.
Even more exhausted than before I let myself fall into my bed. What had happened to Jungkook? We didn't fight, or did we? I couldn't remember exactly what I could've said which could've angered him. I felt empty and felt as if there was nothing I was capable of doing anymore, simply because I was so worried why he had stormed off.
My eyes were suddenly fixed on the jar standing on my table. Ever since my birthday I hadn't used it, neither did I have contact with Jimin again. Weakly I stood up and picked up the jar. I grabbed a note which said:
Whenever you're sad don't forget that you're not alone. Even if you feel like the only person in the world, I will stand right behind you.
( dear readers we're about to reach the climax, I'm sorry lmao. but pls hang on because something BIG is about to happen. loveeee x)
