~Chapter 1~

Tommy gasped as he launched forwards, yelling in pain as his back flared up in agony, a wing flapping behind him, knocking things over as it sporadically flapped at his scared and feared state. His door was slammed open, Technoblade rushing in to see an awake Tommy flailing around in pain, screaming as he tried to claw at his back. Tommy was too scared, confused, and tired to understand what was happening, and so when a potion was shoved down his throat he barely processed that.

Eventually, the pain subsided, letting the tired avian rest as his eyes started to close. His breath was rapid, yet his eyes were droopy as if he’d fall asleep. Which Tommy was sure was about to happen. Techno shook the other, his eyes slightly opening more as they looked towards the worried Techno. “Hey, hey you good?” His voice was calm, sweet even, as if he was trying to keep a scared animal from running away. Tommy numbly nodded, eyes threatening to close again.

“I-Is Tubbo… ok?” Tommy asked, voice groggy and distant as he spoke, his eyes holding a similar look. Techno was silent for a minute, confused why the teen would be asking about Tubbo of all people.

“Tubbo’s fine, he’s back at L’manburg.” Technoblade decided to say. Tommy’s eyes began to droop closed, making the piglin hybrid worried for the other. Why was he still tired even after just waking up? Technoblade shook the other’s shoulder hoping to keep the other from falling asleep, the pinkette thankful when it seemed to work. Tommy looked at the other, blue eyes cloudy as he tiredly blinked.

“Did… Did we win?” Techno was silent, brows furrowed as he tried to understand what the other meant by that.

“What do you mean? Win what?”

“Did we blow up L’manburg… is it gone now?” Techno didn’t say anything, Tommy’s eyes rolling into the back of his head as he started to one again fall asleep. He was once again interrupted by Techno shaking him awake.

“Theseus, you’ve been out for a week. What do you mean ‘blow up L’manburg?’” Tommy’s eyes were forced open at that, quickly sitting up as he grabbed hold of the olders shirt collar. Tommy’s eyes held a crazed look, searching Techno’s own concerned and worried ones. “Theseus?”

L“What do you mean what do I mean.” His voice held a tremble, his eyes wild as his breathing only grew worse, indicating a panic attack nearing. Techno didn’t know what to do in this kind of situation, watching as his younger brother pulled his hands away only to start pulling at his wild unkempt hair mumbling words the piglin hybrid couldn’t hear. His breathing got worse, tears leaving his wide eyes as he curled into himself.

Techno reached out, hand touching his shoulder only for the other to scratch out in agony. Technoblade jumped back, his own eyes wide at the teen's reaction. Quickly the pinkette grabbed his communicator, messaging their dad as fast as possible, all the while trying to talk to the teen in front of him. His breathing was becoming jagged, indicating to him that Tommy was on the verge of passing out at this point. Techno couldn’t touch him, he would start freaking out more than he already was, so what could he do? He wasn’t even sure if Tommy could hear him at this point. Even so Techno felt desperate words leave his lips. “Breathe Tommy, c’mon breathe!”

It didn’t surprise the piglin hybrid when he slumped over and passed out from his very intense panic attack. Technoblade was almost happy, seeing as he couldn’t keep harming himself the way he had begun to during his panic attack, his hands falling from his unkempt hair. Techno neared the other, laying the poor boy back down before pulling the blanket back up to cover his shaking body. Hurried footsteps filled the piglins ears, making him look behind himself as his father ran in, blue eyes trained on the now passed-out blond. “Is-”

“He’s fine, he just… he had a panic attack. He passed out, so I don’t know when he’ll wake up again.” Phil only nodded, walking towards the chair that sat next to the bed and sat down, eyes still watching the other. It was obvious that he wanted to be here when Tommy woke up next, Techno decided to leave so his father could sit in the silence alone.

Technoblade sat petting Steve outside his small cabin. It was snowing outside and the piglin hybrid had a cup of tea in his hand as he enjoyed the quiet. It had been still and silent since Tommy woke up, Philza staying at the boy’s bedside waiting for the poor teen to awaken again. Techno himself was still shaken up about what had happened, his own fear had reached to a all time high seeing his little brother in that state.

He looked helpless, scared, and confused. Maybe he should have waited for the boy to fully wake up before trying to talk to him, now he sat in his room once again passed out because of him. Steve huffed, his muzzle slapping the pinkette in the shoulder as if trying to tell him to stop worrying. Technoblade smiled, patting the big animal's head before staring out into the snowy forest before him.

He could tell that Philza felt guilty for Tommy’s state, he too felt the aching feeling in his heart eating away at him. Why didn’t he show up sooner? Why had he even left the poor boy alone? He knew Wilbur was dead, the one man that the blond seemed to depend on, the only family that Tommy seemed to care about. He had tried to kill him because he was enraged about being betrayed. Why didn’t he handle that better?

Blood!

Blood for the blood god!

Pog!

E!

E!

E!

Techno winced, holding his head as the voices started screaming. Ah, yes that’s why. Techno slumped back into his seat, eyes lazily looking over towards his big pet. Steve stared back, head tilting to the side as if trying to say ‘what’s wrong?’. The piglin hybrid simply smiled, scratching behind the big animal's ear, a rumble leaving the polar bear's throat.

“Life is messy, isn’t it?” Techno mutters, his smile slipping away from his expression. Technoblade still remembers finding the poor boy, beaten and battered, one of his wings chopped off and carelessly thrown to the side. The place his little brother had been staying at was destroyed, smoke still sizzling off of the builds indicating it was recently done.

Techno remembers picking up his unconscious brother, both he and the voices freaking out, and carrying the boy back to their cabin. Techno remembers cleaning his wounds and stitching up the poor teen's back, stopping the profusely bleeding wound from killing him. He remembers messaging Phil, telling him how he found Tommy, what state he found Tommy in. He remembers Phil showing up, heartbroken as he stared at the unconscious boy with sorrow and regret.

Why hadn’t he tried to contact the teen sooner? With a sigh he got out of his seat, turning towards the door before pausing. Technoblade’s eyes looked out into the distance, squinting as if trying to catch movement. His ears perked, twitching as they tried to catch even the slightest indication that someone could be out there. He heard and saw nothing, yet the feeling of being watched didn’t leave. Shrugging it off he opened the door, stepping in. He should make something for lunch for the three of them, that was if Tommy woke up again today.

Dream sat on the edge of the woods, eyes fixed on the cabin before him. His fists were tight, forcing himself not to scream out in annoyance and rage. Techno? The Technoblade had found Tommy and decided to save him from death? When Dream saw Philza he was surprised, but not he was dumbfounded. Why in all the gods would those two of oall people decide to help Tommy? Dream stood on the edge of the forest, brows scrunching together as he stared at the cabin trying to figure out what to do.

He couldn’t take them both on, he could barely beat Technoblade at sparring as it was. He’d have to be insane to think he could take on both the blood god and the angle of death in the same day, let alone at the same time. What would he do now? Suddenly a idea popped into his head.

What if it wasn’t just him fighting the engel of death and the blood god, but instead many? A wicked smile formed on his face as the plan formed in his head. It would take a while for it to succeed, but he was willing to play the long game. And it all would be worth it in the end.

When Tommy opened his eyes he didn’t expect to wake up in the room he was in, which was the usual room he slept in when he came to Techno’s house and ended up staying the night. Hadh e somehow survived the fall and Techno and Phil had taken him back to the cabin to help him recover? Tommy slowly began to lift himself to sitt up in the bed, yet he jumped when a gasp interrupted the quiet in the room. He looked over to his bedside, seeing Philza of all people staring back.

His eyes looked tired and regretful as they met, making even Tommy frown. “What? Did we lose the battle or something?” That made Philza raise a brow, his expression quickly turning into confusion.

“What do you mean?” Now it was Tommy’s turn to be confused.

“Dooms day, did we lose?” Phil stared for a long time, as if trying to figure out what the teen meant. It only made Tommy even more worried, the boy looking around the room with confused eyes. It wasn’t until he looked before himself and towards the window that he noticed something different. He gasped, eyes widening as his jaw dropped open. A wing, one of his precious wings, sat behind him. He turned to look at the other wing, only to find the area empty. The blond was confused, looking back towards his father when the man placed a hand on his shoulder, squeezing it as if he was trying to comfort the other. “What’s happening. Am I dreaming? What is happening!” Tommy shoved the man off, his breathing quickening the more he tried to understand what was happening. Philza looked sad, eyes drooping as he looked at his youngest.

“Tommy, calm down please!” Tommy tried, slowing his breathing down yet his eyes still raked across the room, trying to figure out if there were any other differences he could point out. He found none. “Are you calm?” At this the avian looks towards the other blond, watching a reassuring smile stretch across his face. “There you go.” With a foggy brain Tommy tried to understand what exactly what was happening, hoping to get some sort of answer he could understand.

“What. happened.” Escaped his tight lips. Philza sat back in his seat, smile disappearing slowly and head looking down as he stared at the bed sheets insteado of at Tommy.

“Well, Techno had found you in exile wounded and unconscious, so he took you here and decided to nurse you back to health.” Tommy looked towards the door, eyes scrunched together as he tried to understand.

“Exile? Why would I be at exile? I left that place way before now.” It was Philza’s turn to look confused.

“Tommy?-” The blond cut the father off.

“We blew up L’manburg, it was gone… I was… falling. Tubbo- where is Tubbo?” The avian looked desperate as he looked at the older blond, who only looked hurt and lost. “Why do I have one of my wings now? They both where cut off!” Tommy grabbed at his hair, eyes going wild as he tried to figure out what was happening to him. “Is he ok? Did he survive the fall too?”

“Fall? What fall- And what do you mean both wings? How did you even know they where gone?-” The man quickly stopped himself from panicking, seeing the state the teen was in and decided against it. Quickly he calmed down. “You know what, we can worry about that later.” Phil grabbed the hand Tommy was gripping his hair with and forcing it away, trying to smile calmly all the while. “I’m just happy that you’re awake, that’s all that matters right now.” Tommy was brought into a tight hug, and for once he didn’t push the other avian away. He hugged him back, letting himself take in the moment of peace he felt.

“I don’t understand.” Tommy sniffled as he talked, tears leaking out of his eyes seconds later. “I- whats happening? What happened?” Phil patted the boys back squeezing the teen closer as he did so.

“It’s ok, we’ll figure it out. Its ok.” Still, that didn’t stop the cry of pain from leaving the boy, having to listen to the agonizing pain that he was in.
