______________
"5, 6, and 7."
Goblin Slayer could be seen in the middle of effortlessly yet mercilessly killing all the Goblins he could find, though as doing what his name suggested, he couldn't help but notice that a certain someone was unusually silent during the quest of killing all of the Goblins.
"What's wrong?"
After Goblin Slayer pulled out his sword from another dead Goblin, he turned around to look at none other than Priestess, who was there as always for support, though this time she seemed to be in deep thoughts lately.
"H-Huh, Nothing!"
But Priestess was able to snap out of her thoughts when confronted about it by her partner.
"You seemed distracted, that's bad when we're hunting Goblins."
Luckily Goblin Slayer wasn't upset about his partner, though he did prefer when she wasn't lost in thought and wanted to understand why so that he could help fix it.
"I'm just... I'm thinking about that lady we saved a few days ago."
Priestess sighs after finally admitting the reasons for such distraction and train of thoughts.
"What about her?"
Which confused Goblin Slayer, not really knowing why she was thinking of someone who wasn't really their concern.
"I just hope that she's ok, that's all."
Was all Priestess could say, not really confident or in the mood to explain to her armor friend, doubting he would understand how she felt, not that she understood why herself anyway.
"I see."
Though before more could be said between the two, the sound of rapid footsteps and wicked laughter caught their attention, both turned around and saw three Goblins running up to them, weapons in hand and had just pounced towards them, Goblin Slayer quickly got in front of his partner and got ready to protect her.
"Goblin Slayer!"
"Stay Behind M-"
But before Goblin Slayer or Priestess could do anything, all three Goblins were suddenly knocked down into the ground before they could even touch the two. Both were instantly confused by this, but were soon able to understand what had just happened by suddenly seeing arrows that were once invisible suddenly reveal themselves. This was enough to surprise them to see such a thing, and the surprise only kept coming once they saw who delivered such an attack, which was none other than the lady they saved before. Just like her arrows, she was once invisible but had now revealed herself to the two Adventurers.
"... She seems ok to me."
The only thing Goblin Slayer had to say about their current situation was that he watched the creature lady in front of them, who was getting her arrows back and putting them back in her quiver.
"H-Hi, um, Tribal Lady?"
Priestess, while very nervous and shy when meeting Tribal again, still took the chance to speak with her.
"I-I hope you've been doing ok, and staying well?"
Though Priestess tried to talk to Tribal, wanting to make sure she was doing alright, she didn't really respond to such worries. Instead, after getting back her arrows, she put away her bow and started to reach for something on her body, specifically pulling out a metal disc with blade edges, which she then held out to the Armored Silver Rank.
"What is she doing?"
Goblin Slayer was immediately confused by this gesture, not knowing what Tribal was doing.
"I think she's trying to give it to you?"
Priestess didn't understand herself, but judging by what Tribal was doing, she could only assume what she was seeing.
"I see?"
With this in mind, Goblin Slayer responds to Tribal offering and carefully takes and accepts her disc as a gift.
"Thank you."
Once Goblin Slayer accepts his newfound item, Tribal then turns her attention to the holy girl, as she then offers her open palm to the female human.
"Um, I don't need anything-"
"I think she's asking for your staff."
Priestess wanted to refuse to accept any offering from Tribal, though Goblin Slayer pointed out how she was asking for the staff from the young blonde.
"B-But, I just can't give her something that my Mother Superior gave me!"
Which made the Priestess get all defensive, holding her staff tightly and refusing to give it up, which made the Tribal growl and bring her hand closer, very insistent, and refusing to take no as an answer.
"I don't think she's giving you a choice."
This only made the child adventurer groan in response, as if knowing that Goblin Slayer was right, so with little choice, she gave her staff to Tribal.
"O-Ok, just don't break it please."
But as soon as the Priestess said this, Tribal immediately broke the staff, specifically removing the golden bells and jingles.
"HEY! WHAT DID I-?!"
Which made Priestess very upset almost instantly, and she was about to say something about it, though she cut herself off when Tribal then pulled out a Combistick and extended it, which startled and frightened the holy adventurer at first.
"Oh?"
But soon, Priestess' worried expression turned into a confused curiosity, as she then saw Tribal fix and attached the golden bells to the Combistick.
"Huh, she turned your staff into a weapon, interesting."
Goblin Slayer couldn't help but be impressed to see a holy item turned into a weapon. Once Tribal finished making such modifications to the item, she returned the staff to the young blonde, after shrinking the blades.
"T-Thank you."
Priestess didn't really know what to say. The idea of her having such a weapon was definitely something she didn't imagine she would ever have, but at the same time, she didn't reject it. Not only that, knowing that she had this in her hand now, it just made her feel more "Useful", especially when it came to fighting Goblins with her partner. Once Tribal had given the two gifts, she had nothing more to do with them. Turning away and starting to walk off, she turned invisible in the process.
"I think she was repaying us from saving her."
Priestess felt like she finally understood the intention and what Tribal just did for them.
"By giving us her weapons?..."
Goblin Slayer looks at his disc with a tilted head expression, finding it off to be given a weapon as a sign of thanks.
"She must be driven by honor."
Priestess tried messing with her new Holy Combistick, learning how it works, as well as getting startled whenever she almost stabbed her foot when she extended the sharp spikes.
'Honor, hm...'
The thought of honor made Goblin Slayer think, specifically about himself and what he does, for some reason, he couldn't imagine himself as someone who was "Honorable".
"So what does your gift do?"
Though before Priestess could ask questions about Goblin Slayer's weapon, the sound of something large and heavy could be heard in the distance. Both turned around and saw a large Hobgoblin, who roared loudly and charged at them, raising a big hammer in his hand. He was no doubt planning to crush the two with such a large weapon. Instead of being worried, the armored adventurer took this chance to experiment. He properly gripped the disc weapon and then threw it as hard as he could at the Hobgoblin. Once it left his hand, the disc suddenly glowed and started to spin faster and faster until it was fast enough to cleanly cut off the head of the Hobgoblin. After the intended enemy was killed, the two party members assumed they would have to retrieve the disc. Much to their surprise, the disc simply flew back and landed back into the hand of its owner, which was the Goblin Slayer.
"Ah, what a smart disc."
