Neil moved to hug avni and saw sahil looking at him seriously

Neil:your safety matters the most you know that right he said looking st sahil and then broke the hug as he looked at avni

Avni: I know neil and that is y I am telling you honestly that I'm fine she said

Juhi: I still remeber that night during our college days avni had gone to get something and on the way back some guys were following her and at that time neil had saved her and also here neil was the first one tooo she said

Vidyut, Riya and ali nodded to what juhi said while sahil rolled his eyes however somewhere this did effect him and when he looked at avneil he saw them smiling at each other as if there is nobody around them except them only

Riya:so shall we go now?

Ali:nope we all plan to build a tent here and sleep what say

Riya:that wasnt funny

Ali:because it wasnt meant to be he said

Neil: here you go now these two start again he said making avni chuckle while neil smiled seen her chuckling

Juhi: chalo continue your fights after and let's go now she said

Riya glared at ali while he blew a flying kiss at her as she took avni and juhi with her

As the boys started walking neil gave sahil a smirk as he started to walk with vidyut and ali and sahil watched on seriously as neil was walking and few secs later he followed

As the gang reached near their car all said bye to each other...neil opened the door for avni while she smiled and sat inside....sahil who was about to get in riya car stood with his hand on the door handle but his eyes  were on neil and avni only noticing that small exchange... ..neil who walked to his side and was about to get inside when he saw sahil looking in his direction...both were looking at each other seriously from a little distance

Avni who was about to put on her seatbelt saw neil still standing outside...

Avni: y is this kadhoos Khanna standing ?...

She leaned to the side and beeped the horn...hearing the horn beeping neil looked at avni and lowered his body so that he can see her from the window to see her looking at him with a frown

Neil smiled and opened the car door but before getting in he looked at sahil.

Riya:sahil shall we go she said making him look away from avneil car

Sahil nodded and got in to see neil car drive past them

Avni: neil?

Neil:hmm?

Avni: what took you so long to get in the car?

Neil:, nothing avni...I was just thinking about a case

Avni: a case ? Out of the blue she asked  looking at him ?

Neil looked at avni for a sec and then back on the road

Neil:not out of the blue...this case came some time ago and it's just not ready to leave

Avni: what? Case is not ready to leave ? You are saying as if the case walked to you and isnt leaving you she said chuckling

Neil smiled as he looked at avni and then back ahead

Neil:consider it something like that...no matter how much I'm trying to make it go this case is not ready to end...i just need to get it transferred far away from here he said indirectly talking about sahil

Avni: dont worry I will pray that this case goes away from you so that you can be at peace she said

Neil: now that you said it I'm sure it will go away he said smiling

Avni smiled at neil.

Neil (in his head):peace is what I want avni...but only with you and I know that will only happen once that sahil has gone.

After 10 mins avneil reached outside khanna mansion and once neil parked the car they got out and headed inside to see bebe, shweta and prakash sitting on the couch as they were discussing about something randomly when they stopped seen avneil walk in

Shweta:you both are finally here ..do you want something to eat? Shall I make something ?

Avni:no shweta ma it's fine.

Shweta: neil what about you ?

Neil: just some coffee mom

Shweta:ok...avni I'll get you some too she said but before avni could deny shweta left to the kitchen

Prakash:how did the reunion go?

Avni: amazing like always.

Bebe: you also had sahil did he enjoy?

Before avni could answer neil spoke

Neil:now only sahil can tell if he enjoyed or not. But we all did right avni he said

Avni looked at neil for a sec and then nodded

Neil: by the way what was you all talking about?

Prakash: nothing much... bebe and shweta ji was talking about our neighbour's and how their  kids have made them proud he said

After few mins shweta came back with 2 cups of coffee and handed it to avneil who thanked her

Avni: you all are not having any ?

Prakash:no puttar we ate some time ago...we just thought of chit chatting for a bit and till then you both came

Suddenly neils phone rang to see it was from the police station and excused himself while avni chatted with the elders

After few mins neil came back

Shweta:what happened tillu you going to the police station?

Neil: haan mom.

Bebe: take care of yourself puttar.

Neil nodded at his family and looked at avni to see her looking at him and then smiled at him

Neil: take care he said patting her head while avni and the elders smiled...

After a while avni reached to the bedroom and closed the door.

She placed her phone down and walked near the window recalling Neil's behaviour today be it in the morning, in the kitchen, in the study room...then when he saved her from the goons and before leaving to the police station

Avni: you are confusing me neil... on one side I'm enjoying this side of yours but on the other side I'm scared...because whenever things starts to get better something keeps happening that deepens the distance between us more...also while leaving to the police station it felt like you wanted to say something but stopped yourself...am I just thinking too much neil or am I actually thinking right because I know you since childhood.

Avni waited for some sort of answers as she looked at the moon but all she got was silence.

Avni: silence is all I get and sometimes I feel it's best not to get any answers at all not knowing how much pain it might cause...she decided to freshen up and then sleep

Few hours  later neil walked into the bedroom to see the table lamp on while avni was sleeping peacefully on the bed

Neil closed the door and decided to go and change...after  few mins he came out of the washroom and got on to his side of the bed... he slept side ways as he watched avni sleep...he took her hands that was resting on her stomach and clasped it with his hand and looked at the time to see it was 2am

Neil: tomorrow is a special day avni...do you know why ?...because it's your birthday...even when you wasnt with me for those 3 years i still wished you a happy birthday in my mind...tooo stubborn to call you but now this time I will wish you from my heart... before you had left for London we always had made sure to celebrate your birthday and this year I also plan to make sure that this birthday is the best just like always...at that time I only celebrated your birthday with all the love that I had for you which was as a friend but somewhere there was also this love which i was unaware about, and now i know what place you hold in my life...you are still my best friend but also the love of my life and I will put all my love in doing all the arrangements for you he said in a low voice and smiled as he kissed the back of avni hand softly

In the morning avni slowly opened her eyes and smiled as she saw neil sleeping on his stomach with a small pout on his lips...

Avni (in her head) : how can someone look so cute while sleeping she said in her head.

Avni was about to get up when she noticed that although neil was sleeping on his stomach his one hand was intertwined with hers.

Avni : how does my hand always end up with Neil's she thought to herself unaware that Neil is the one who always takes her hand in his

Avni nearly freed her hand when...

Neil: avni dont go he said walking up with a jerk and grabbed her hand

Avni frowned while neil was breathing heavily

Avni:neil what happened ? Are you ok she said placing her hand on his shoulder seen him taking deep breath

Neil looked at avni and pulled her in for a tight hug making avni frown more while after few secs her hand landed on his back rubbing It up and down

Neil:avni dont ever leave....please he said pleadingly

Avni broke the hug and cupped both of Neil's cheeks

Avni: did you see any bad dream ?

Neil looked at avni... he hadnt seen any bad dream but he was able to feel her hand slip  even in his sleep which made him feel as if she will leave

Neil: bad dream or not just promise me that you will never leave me

Avni: I wont...I...i promise....neil i will go and get ready... sleep till then as you must have came late right

Neil nodded and looked at avni as she covered him with a blanket and headed towards the washroom

Neil didnt want to sleep as just having that thought was making him tensed..but he was not able to stop his eyes from shuting and slowly fell asleep again

Avni came out of the washroom after 20 mins to see neil asleep...she decided to keep the curtains still closed so that neil can sleep peacefully and headed towards the dressing table and started to do her hair and applied some kajal and then put on her mangalsutra and applied a pinch of sindhoor.. once done she headed out and closed the door slowly

As avni reached downstairs she went to the mandir area while bebe who was there gave her some prashad

Avni: morning bebe

Bebe:morning puttar...has neil came back ?

Avni:haan bebe he is actually sleeping as he must have came back late

Bebe: haan..he doesnt take rest properly but at least he is sleeping today which is a good thing

Avni:haan...acha I'll go and see if shweta ma needs any help

Bebe nodded while avni headed out and walked towards the kitchen

Shweta: morning avni

Avni: morning shwetii she said giving her a hug from the back

Shweta: did neil come she asksd

Avni smiled seen how even shweta asked about neil

Avni: haan he did and he is sleeping

Shweta: good good...acha can you please get me the pan out so that I can make some paratha

Avni nodded and got the pan out and helped shweta

1 hour and 30 mins later avni and shweta were done and as they bought everything out... they saw prakash at the dining table reading a  newspaper while bebe came and sat down

Avni: good morning

Prakash: morning puttar ji..has neil come ?

Avni looked at prakash, shweta and bebe and then burst out laughing while the rest frowned at her

Shweta: what happened? Are you ok?

Avni controlled herself and nodded

Avni: haan..its just that after saying good morning all of you just asked me the same thing which was if neil has come so I wasnt able to control she said

Neil: that is because neil khanna is always in demand

All turned to look towards the stairs to see neil walking down while avni noticed how the pink shirt was looking good on him but she looked away not wanting to embarrass herself not realising that Neil had noticed already making him super happy

Avni: dont think too high of yourself everyone just asked because you left at night and wanted to know if you arrived  she said as he came towards the table

Neil: say anything but I'm surely in demand he said looking at her teasingly while she scowled at him

Bebe: chalo it's good you woke up as we can have breakfast together she said

Avni sat next to shweta while neil sat opposite her and after few minutes all started to have breakfast

Once breakfast was done all got up...neil was about to tell avni that he will drop her when suddenly he heard a voice that he didnt want to hear

Sahil: morning everyone

Avni:morning sahil you here?

Neil: did you need anything sahil he asked as he came and stood near avni which sahil noticed

Shweta: come on neil he can come here anytime...sahil come sit I'll get you some breakfast she said about to go but sahil stopped her

Sahil: shweta aunty that is sweet of you but I already had breakfast...I actually came to pick avni up?

Avni:sahil you shouldn't have I would have managed

Sahil:I know you would have managed but I thought I'll get a chance to know  the route to come here so that is y

Neil (in his head) : he is acting like as if he is planning to stay here forever to know the route...chal beta one day I will show you a route which  takes you to the airport and directly to London

Avni:ok wait I'll just go and get my bag she said heading up

Once avni headed up sahil looked at the rest

Sahil: tomorrow is avni birthday...before he could continue neil interrupted

Neil:that we know sahil...we dont need a reminder you see as we all have celebrated avni birthday he said with a smile but sahil was the only one to notice the sarcasm

Sahil: that I very well know neil but you know I thought you must have forgotten as for the past  few years avni wasnt here right so just wanted to see if you remember as a friend

Prakash: neil can forget everything but he can never forget avni birthday no matter how angry he is he said smiling

Neil: absolutely dad he said with hands in his pocket giving sahil a look ...

sahil was about to speak about avni birthday again but stopped when he saw avni coming down

Avni came down and looked at sahil

Avni: shall we go

Sahil: yup let's go

Avni said bye to all and headed out with sahil while neil watched on

Shweta: look avni forgot her phone ...I'll go and give it quickly she said as she had reached near the table

Neil heard shweta

Neil: mom dont worry I'll give it I'm leaving too he said

Shweta nodded while she gave the phone to neil who walked quickly outside to see avni getting in the car

Neil: avni he called out

Avni saw neil and closed the door as she walked to him while walked towards her

Avni:haan Neil what happened

Neil:your phone he said showing it to her

Avni:thank you ...I'll see you later ...bye

Neil:bye he said smiling warmly at her

Sahil walked towards them and stood in the middle

Sahil:avni shall we go

Avni:yh come she said and started to head towards the car while neil and sahil both looked at avni and then at each other

Sahil: neil... tomorrow is avni birthday and I actually want to invite you to the party I have planned to organise for her

Neil: sahil let it be...you dont have to make any effort as we can plan avni birthday ...you came to enjoy right then do that much only he said with a sarcastic smile

Sahil: I enjoy when I do things for avni...now it's your choice if you want to come or not but I plan to make avni birthday special

neil: do whatever you want sahil but I will make avni birthday special and haan I dont need any sort of invitations that is related to avni as I have full right from the beginning

Sahil: special will be mine only so I would say dont waste your time after all since the past few years I have been planning her birthday..but dont be sad you are surely INVITED from my side as I dont allow anyone to come if I haven't given any invitation

neil looked at sahil and laughed sarcastically with his hands in his pocket shaking his head for a sec

Neil: you may have planned avni birthday for the past few years but before you even came into her life I have been planning her birthay al...and it will be the same this year

Sahil:that we will see neil

Neil:we surely will he said

Avni had sat in as she was messaging juhi and when she looked up she saw sahil still talking with neil

Avni: sahil are we going or not she said a little loudly

Neil and sahil looked at avni and sahil gestured avni *1 min* with his index finger smiling at her and then turned to neil

Sahil:got to go neil as avni is waiting for me...but dont worry you are still invited for the party he said and turned to leave when neil spoke

Neil:she called you because she is getting late for work not becuase she wants to spend time with you he said

Sahil turned at neil and smirked and walked to the car getting in.

Neil waved at avni as she waved at him when the car started to move out

Precrap: sahil: what if I say you have to choose between me and neil

The smile from avni face vanished

Avni: sahil..y but she couldnt continue as sahil interrupted

Sahil: tell me avni... me or neil?  He said while avni looked at sahil as he looked at her seriously
