He held her tightly in his arms.. He thanked God for bringing Avni once again in his life or else he would have never understood the true meaning of love and would have died without meeting her again.. the very idea of it scared him.. he wanted to thank Sahil too.. though he did not like him, but if he did not come, he would never understand or got back his love, his Avni again.. most of all he thanked Avni to love him so unconditionally.. She loved him without hoping anything in return..

He does not know, if he ever returned anything to her.. but he promised himself now, that he would never let her go now.. He would never pushed her, hurt her, blame her.. This woman had his heart, she always had.. it took him so long to understand it, because he was always a fool.. but now that he has understood he would never let her go.. No matter how much Avni got angry, he would fight for her, for them, for their love.. He might be a slow learner but he was not a loser.. It was always Avni fighting for him, but now he will fight for them.. he wont let sahil or anyone come between them.. She was his and he was hers..

He will make her realise that he loves her too and always did.. he would make her see that her love was reciprocated and that too unconditionally.. he was grateful that despite drifting apart, she came back to him, became his wife..may be universe too was on their side.. whatever it is.. He loved Avni and he would keep loving her always.. and he would make all her pain go away.. she can't leave him now, he wont just let her.. with the final realisation, he kissed her on the crown of her head lovingly and said, "sleep tight Wifey, we have a long way to go now.." and with this he drifted into sleep, holding her possessively in his arms...

Next morning the light of the sun had fallen into avneil bedroom....

Neil was sleeping while holding avni close to him with avni back against his chest.

However the outside light had started to disturbed avni sleep ....avni slowly opened her eyes and for a sec thought she was in her room at the metha mansion but when she looked carefully she realised she was at the khanna mansion in kadhoos khanna room he is becoming a little sweet again ... she was about to stretch her hand

suddenly she feels someone hugging her from the back and and hand a hand tightly wrapped around her waist wondering who it was... she stiffened for a sec and was scared a bit

Avni in her head: ye hath kiska hai.. aur mujhien kyun pakda hua hai... Kahi bed ke niche wala ghost toh nhi agya....nahi nahi..avni yaar tum pagal ho... subhe kaise bhoott ayien ga ...(whose hand is this... and y is it holding me?...has the ghost come from under the bed?... no no avni u r mad... how can a ghost come in the morning)

She decided to shift a little and turned her face to see it was neil

Avni in her head: phew it's only neil...but ek second neil ne mujhien kyun pakda hai (phew it's only neil but one sec...y has he held me)

As avni shifted...neil frowned and pulled avni closer to him while he wrapped his hand tightly around her waist in a spoon position...whereas avni stiffened when she felt neil breath failing on to her ears as it just made her feel goosebumps

Avni in her head: haila(suku and her haila).. how did we end up like this... if Neil sees us like this then god knows what will happen... maybe he slept like this in his sleep..but if he wakes up and sees us like this..he would probably blame it on me...but I have to get out of his grip..but how? ((I LITERALLY WANT NO BASHING ON NEIL)

Neil took a deep breath inhaling her hair making avni chain of thoughts break as she felt him breathing right in her hair..and this time she felt a shiver run down her spine while her lips parted slowly

Avni in her head:avni concentrate and think.. u need to get out of neil grip anyhow...and that also without waking him up .

Avni slowly started to move out of his group... neil opened his eyes slowly to see avni trying to get out his grip.. he smiled naughtily and closed his eyes when avni looked at him..

as she was about to move he grabbed her wrist and pulled her down again while she watched him sleeping...as he pulled her closer again

Avni looks at neil and them his hand around her waist... she thinks he is doing it in sleep unaware that it's all been done purposely.

Neil slowly opened his eyes seen avni expression and laughed from inside

Neil in his head: avni... no sorry.. dear wifey get ready to be showered with Neil khanna love and now I wont let u go away from me

He took another deep breath wheras avni felt it on her neck making her feel something tingle inside her

Avni:I was so close to moving out of neil grip but got stuck again she thought to herself

Suddenly she saw a round pillow next to her and takes it to try and replace it with her.. neil was watching her without her knowing and smiled seen her state and decided not to tease her..few sec later he started to loosen his grip.. as avni felt that she instantly placed a pillow in her place and got up quickly and ran to the washroom.. while neil opened his eyes and pushed his hair back while smiling boyishly

30 mins later avni came out of the washroom wearing a blue sareee and sat in front of the dressing table... she was drying her hair while neil was just busy watching her

Neil in his head: think neil think.. how will u approach avni...

When avni put bangles on and then earrings... she took a matching ring and put it on her finger

he then saw her pick up the sindhoor box

Neil: this is the time that I start approaching her as her husband... he thought to himself..

As avni opened the box she took a pinch of sindhoor and was about to put it on when neil stopped her

Neil:avni wait

Avni what happened neil she asked turning around in her seat

Neil took the sindhoor box of her

Neil: wifey let me do this. He said while avni was shocked as to what he said

Avni:neil u ok? I mean u want to put.. she left her sentence incomplete

Neil:y? Cant I put sindhoor on my wife? Avni is again shocked but composed herself .

Avni:not it's not like that but u have never said or done that but it's ok u can do it..if u want to

Neil smiled and took a pinch of the sindhoor and filled her forehead

He bent over and placed the box on the dressing table and got hold of the mangsutra and moved it around avni neck.. as he was trying to do the clasp he traced her neck smoothly with his fingers...avni breathing stopped for a sec while her hands clutched together...

Neil was able to tell by avni expression as to how she was feeling

Neil: this is just the start of neil khanna love wifey

As neil continued to stroke her neck now and then avni took a deep breath in and sat straight.

Neil: what happend wifey?

Avni:nothing neil

Neil:no something has happened tell me

Avni: hoesntly it's nothing.

Neil smiled seen her look here and there

Avni in her head:ye kya ho raha hai... mai sapna toh nahi dekh rahi na...neil aisa behave kar raha hai...wifey bol raha hai
(what is happening... am I dreaming or what..neil behaving like this...calling me his wifey .. she thought as she isnt aware about him doing this all intentionally

Avni:neil y dont u get ready I will go and get breakfast ready she said getting up as neil was done putting the mangalsutra on her

Neil smiled and happily went to take a shower while avni went to make breakfast while her mind was still thinking about what just happened upstairs

20 mins later neil came down wearing his uniform while breakfast was ready too

As all were eating their breakfast neil spoke

Neil: avni.. after breakfast I'll drop u to the orphanage...

Avni: neil that is not needed as sahil will be coming so dont worry

neil: no I will drop u ...sahil can meet u there directly as it will be long for him to come here

Avni: it's ok dont worry I will go with papa..

Prakash:oh yes I dont mind dropping avni off it will be fun with us duo what say puttar ji he said while avni and the rest smiled

Neil: dw dad I'm going and I'm going in that direction so I will drop u he said to her while avni thought

avni : ok fine i will go with u

Bebe:now if the discussion is done finsh your breakfast she said..

Once all finished their breakfast avneil then said bye to the family and head out to Neil car...

Once they got in the car

Avni sunddenly saw neil was coming closer to her ..and their face was close to each other..his left hand was placed on her seat near her thighs n his right hand near her right ear.. her breath hitched

Their face was really close .. avni got very nervous..

Avni: neil yeh kya kar rahien ho?? she said trying to speak normally but wasnt able to (neil what r u doing)

Neil: tumhe kya lag raha hai ke mai kya kar raha hoon? ( what do u think I am doing ?)

Avni was looking everywhere but not in his eyes.. small sweats gathered near her foreheads..

avni: mai wo..

neil got more close to her and looked at her lips...

Avni parted her lips and then nervously licked her lips.. totaly nervous with the sudden closeness..

As neil was close to her he brushed his lips on her left cheek for a sec..

Avni's eyes widened and was totally shocked

He then pulled her seat belts across her..

Neil: seatbelt avni... seat belt.. being a cop meri wifey ka khayal mujh ko rakhna hoga na he said smirking inside totaly enjoying teasing her obviously he did that intentionally.
(seatbelt avni... seat belt.. being a cop I have to look after my wife na)

Avni first was in daze but the got out of it and was a little irriated..

Avni: wo mai lagane wali thi but u didnt let me. Mooh se bata sakte the..
( I was actually going to do it but u didnt let me... u could of said by speaking)

Neil: arey avni! Jo baat karne mai hai wo bolne mein kaha ( what's then fun in saying than doing )

Avni: what??

Neil:what what?? Kuch bhi toh nhi..
Now sit tight wifey
