Avni: what excues have I made... before blaming me for something think of what to say

Neil:oh i very well know what I'm saying but there is no point of explaining it to a person like u... and next time if u want to spend time alone then let a family member know instead of going away because as usual u won't think about people emotion before going except yours.. avni again got hurt with his worlds

Avni:enough... just enough.. u have no rights to say anytnjing to me... no rights at all... because if u think I'll stay quiet.and listen to any nonsense u speak then u r wrong and u don't have to come looking for me because I don't want your precious time to get wasted because of me.. plus i dont need to tell u how much i car for my close ones as they can see it themselves she said

Both glared at each other while avni left from there and soon Neil also went down after trying to control his anger

Time went quick with everyone doing their own work avni had come back home with shweta as they had gone out to get some of the household things....as they entered they saw bebe talking to someone on the phone

Bebe: ok puttar take care and make sure to eat something when u come back home bye

Shweta:who was u talking to bebe

Bebe: Neil shweta.. he said he will be coming late today so we shouldn't wait for him.

Avni:I'll just go and put these bags in the kitchen.. bebe and shweta nodded

At the police station
Vidyut: Neil we have made sure that all check points r covered.. raghu has no way to escape as even if he wants to go to the airport he won't be able to due to all the checking

Neil:exactly.. Dd u go and see how shukla is doing and both of u keeo us informed meanwhile me and vidyut will also leave to see what is happening at the other check points

Dd: ok sir

Vidyut:: make sure all cars r checked along with their licence and don't let anyone go easily as he will probably.disgusie himself.. Dd nodded and all 3 left in their separate jeep

Back at the khanna mansion

Avni served everyone dinner and then sat down opposite shweta

All were busy talking while avni was giving ideas to prakash about some business while he was listening to her keenly.

They all decided to sit in the garden to have some dessert after... avni sat on the floor in front of shweta since shweta decided to put some oil in avni hair

Avni was enjoying shweta hair massage as she was feeling well relaxed enjoying how her fingers were doing magic in her hair.

Suddenly it started to drizzle slowly

Bebe: god.. I didn't even expect it to rain

Prakash: it's only started lightly bebe before it fully starts to rain let's go in

Avni : I'll take these bowls u all go she said

As soon as avni entered with the bowl inside it started to rain a little more and luckily they came in On time otherwise they would have got fully drenched

Bebe: gosh this rain is so unpredictable

Shweta: exactly Bebe the ways it's increasing it feels like it will continue for a long time.. Suddenly they heard the thunder

Prakash: avni beta let's close all the windows and door

Avni:ji papa

Shweta: i hope Neil is ok.. otherwise in this rain he will be all wet.

Bebe: shweta there is something call rain coats if they all r out they would be wearing that

Shweta:haan but I don't trust my son in taking care of himself u know how he is bebe right

Bebe: stubborn like u she said rolling her eyes

Shweta: bebe she said making a sad face

Bebe: Kya bebe it's a fact.

Avni and prakash came

Prakash: we should all go and rest now

Bebe: chalo I'll go and read my book

Shweta: I'll get u your milk and tablet

Avni:good night everyone

Prakash:good night puttar

Avni had got into the room and changed into her Pjs she decided to watch a movie as sleep was far away from her.

Around 11pm avni finished watching the movie on her iPad and went to get her cushion and blanket from the bed... she stopped in her tracks realising Neil is not back yet

avni:y r u worrying too much avni he will come whenever he wants.. after all he is a police officer just go to sleep she said to herself

She looked out of the window seen how it was raining a lot still and closed the window after few secs

As soon as she layed down she closed her eyes but opened it straight away when she heard the thunder sound

Avni: gosh please stop raining she prayed and covered herself with the blanket .

Meanwhile at the checkpoint it had been few hours since the police was checking each car in the bad weather.. most of the police men had rain coat on while our hero was just in his shirt and waist coat on which was fully sticking to his body fully drenched.

Vidyur:Neil we got hold of raghu he was running away with a disguised look vidyut said from the walkie talkie

Neil: good job vidyut.. I'll see u at the police station

Vidyut: alright

Neil:: dd make sure all the check points r cleared

Dd: yes sir dd answered through the walkie talkie

Vidyut: Neil actually let's do one thing let him stay in jail for now we will do questioning tommrow.

Neil: sure?

Vidyut: yh after all he should see how police station treat special guests like him

Neil:alright see u tommrow then

Neil got in his jeep and headed towards the khanna mansion.. he didn't care about how he was fully drenched in rain and didn't bother to turn the heating on in the car

40 mins later he reached home.. he was actually tired... he was about to go to the kitchen but decided against it as all he wanted to do was sleep...it was still pouring badly outside

As he reached outside his bedroom he opened the door to see the lights off. However the table lamp was kept on as avni had forgotten to turn that off.. when he walked in he saw avni sleeping on the couch peacefully.. without waiting any time he changed his clothes and wiped his hair and body with the towel thanks to the rain.. once done he changed into something comfortable and fell on the bed closing his eyes as he fell asleep in no time

It was 3am when avni turned in her sleep... suddenly she can hear something trying to disturb her sleep.. she got annoyed and turned the other way but still was able to hear that sound.. however the sound was getting louder as she was slowly coming out of her deep sleep making her slowly opene her eyes ..she tried to listen carefully when she felt someone mumbling more likely a male voice .. avni got up and looked around to see that Neil was back

Avni:is it Neil who is mumbling?

She got up and slowly walked near the bed to see if it was Neil who was mumbling and her doubt was right when she saw he was actually mumbling in his sleep

She tried to listen to what he was saying when she realised he was mumbling for water but she also noticed one thing that Neil was shivering very badly...without giving any second thought she placed her hand on his forehead and her eyes widened realising Neil is burning in fever

Avni: god what shall I do now.. Neil.neil she said trying to pat his cheek to see him opening his eyes slowly but closing it straight away as he was half conscious.

Neil:pa...pan....pani..

Avni:haan haan I'll get it she said quickly running out with the empty jug.. but before going to the kitchen she went towards prakash and shweta room and knocked on the door.

Avni : maaa.. papa please open the door she said knocking again

Shweta:prakash ji is that avni

Prakash:haan but y is she awake at this time?.. let's go and see her.

Both got of the bed and quickly opened the door hearing avni tensed. Voice

Shweta: what happened beta? She asked worryingly

Avni:maa.. Neil.. neil he is .. I mean he is shivering when I checked I realised he has fever

Shweta:oh gods fever... Neil fever always take long to go.

Prakash:don't worry I will call the doctor now he said heading to get his phone

Avni:maa I'll get water u go to Neil till then..

Shweta.. haan both headed out avni was going to the kitchen and shweta was about to go to Neil when shweta quickly stopped avni

Avni:what happened maa

Shweta:beta don't worry about water I'll get that from my room u go and bring bebe to your room

Avni:ok.

Shweta ran to Neil room while avni went to get bebe and prakash was telling the doctor to come home asap

Bebe opened the door hearing avni knock her door.

Bebe: what happened puttar She said opening the door

Avni:bebe Neil has fever

Bebe:what?

Avni:haan he was mumbling when I checked on him that's when I realised he has fever.

As bebe and avni reached to Neil room they saw shweta rubbing Neil hand... bebe sat on the other side of the bed

Bebe: avni beta get another blanket.

Avni:ji bebe she said walking to the wardrobe.. as avni was about to come back with the blanket she was nearly about to bump into the small table when everyone told her to be careful and due to that happening Bebe, prakash and shweta also saw the pillow and blanket on the couch

Soon the doctor came and checked Neil .

Doctor: he actually has a high fever and due to that he will be weak .. I will give some medicine but till then place wet towel on his forehead so that the temperature reduces.. If anything do inform me.

Prakash went to.drop the doctor outside

Shweta: beta do u know if Neil ate any thing

Avni:sorry maa I actually don't know as I was asleep and didn't know when he came.. Shweta nodded and.thought to check the food in the kitchen

Avni was actually worried seen neil in that state...despite whatever was going on between them she cared for him still and knew Neil also cares for her but his ego and anger won't allow him to accept it.. she looked at shweta and bebe who were worried for Neil..

Shweta: I'll get the water and towel ..at that time praksh came back

Avni:maa u all go and sleep.. I'll make sure to do that

Shweta:but beta.. she couldn't continue as bebe spoke

Bebe: shweta let avni do it she is Neil wife after all and also his friend.

Shweta: ok I'll get the water and towel for u she said leaving the room

Prakash:beta if u need anything let us know ok

Avni:ok she said smiling

Soon shweta bought thing required things for avni and all wished her goodnight while leaving the room

Avni closed the door and walked near Neil.. she placed the bowl on the side table and sat down on the bed next to him...she looked at him for a while and then started to place the wet cloth on his forehead now and then.

It had been two hours since she was doing that when suddenly she heard Neil mumble again .. she tried to listen to what he was saying leaning her face closer to hear clearly

Neil: avni please don't leave me... u left without letting us know and if u do that again I don't know what I will be able to do.. please Avni don't leave me and go i won't be able to stay without u

Avni sat up straight recalling what Neil just said

Avni:what shall I do with u kadhoos khanna.. u have become confusing for me.. when u r awake u don't want me to be anywhere near u.. but in this condition u don't want me to go away from u and the fact is u don't even know that u said all this she said trying to be strong not wanting those tears to escape her eyes.

It was 7 am and avni was still taking care of a sleeping Neil

Shweta slowly.opened the door..

Shweta:beta get some rest

Avni: it's ok maa I'm fine she said smiling.

Shweta: i know u r fine but I don't want u to fall ill too

Avni:I'll rest later on u don't worry

Shweta:avniiiiii

Avni: shwetaaaa she said imitating shweta like always as when every shweta calls avni like this then avni always answer her back in the same way

Shweta: naughty girl.. chal go and freshen up at least

Avni nodded while shweta continued to look after Neil she checked his temperature to see it had reduced a bit all Thanks to avni

Wben avni came out she saw bebe and prakash coming in with a tray of coffee.. Avni quickly took it of him

Bebe:how is Neil now

Shweta:temperature has reduced a little all Thanks to avni.

Avni:maa please don't thank me

Shwets:u deserve it beta.

Bebe: we r really lucky to have u puttar without thinking about yourself u took care of Neil without even sleeping

Prakash: avni beta u should really get some sleep

Avni:I'm.ok papa and this coffee will give me some energy she said raising her cup while smiling.

Shweta: by the way Neil didn't have dinner when he came back.. I had called vidyut to inform about Neil condition and that's when I got to know all of them were out in the rain as they were looking for some criminal

Bebe:and our tillu probably didn't take care of himself while staying in the rain for so many hours.. hence the result is in front of us she said pointing at him

Prakash:sometimes I feel it's good thast Neil falls ill all looked at him as if he had lost it

Shweta:how can u say that prakash ji

Prakash:i meant it In the good way as with this Neil gets some rest because if hr wasn't ill then he wouldn't have bothered to take a day off from work

Bebe: that is true.

After that the doctor came to check on Neil

Doctor: the temperature had reduced a little but continue putting a wet cloth on his head... though it will still take time for him to recover fully due to weakness

Bebe: thank u doctor

Prakash: come Dr saab he said and both left the room

Bebe:shweta call Mrs Mehra and tell her that we won't be able to come

Shweta: ji bebe she said about to unlock her phone when avni took it of her

Shweta: avni what r u doing

Avni: I'm stopping u both from cancelling your plan

Bebe:but y puttar Neil is not well and.. but she couldn't continue as avni spoke

Avni:haan he is ill but that doesn't mean u both cancel your plan.. don't worry about Neil I will take care of him and also his temperature has reduced a bit.

Shweta:par beta

Avni: u don't trust me ?

Shweta:I'll slap u one if u ever say that.. of course we trust u

Avni:then end of u both r going and that's it if u both love me then go. She said crossing her arm

Bebe:ok meri maa we will go but if u need any help don't hesitaste to call us

Avni:i won't she said smiling and gave shweta her phone back

Shweta kissed avni on the cheeks and wants to get ready while she also left while cupping avni face

Avni turned around and looked at sleeping kadhoos khanna.

Avni: chalo time to look after u.. now let's see how much attitude u show in this state she said smiling slightly and started her procedure with wet cloth
