In avni's room

Neela looked at her daughter in the mirror and smiled. Unknowingly her eyes welled up. Avni looked at her.

Offo ma! Why are you crying? It's not like ki I am getting married today itself! I am just going to meet the boy.. Said avni. She couldn't bare tears in her eyes. After all she was the only one to stay by her side through every situation.

Neela chuckled and hit her slightly on her shoulder.

Meri beti kitni badi ho gayi hai.. Baccha Jo bhi past mein hua hai use bhul jao.. Aur apne future ke baare mein socho.. Aur please tumhe meri kasam hai tum iss baar aisa kuch nahi karogi ki ladka bhaag jaye.. Said neela. Avni looked at her through mirror and chuckled.

Test toh karna padega na mom ki voh apki beti ke liye proper hai ya nahi.. Said avni with a smirk. Neela shook her head.

Kuch nahi hoga tumhara.. Saying this she goes. Just then his little brother came there.

Didu! Omg you look so beautiful! Said aman. Avni rolled her eyes at his statement.

Kaam ki baat kar ammu! Said avni. Aman whined hearing "ammu"

Don't call me that! Said aman. She poked her tongue at him.

So the boy came..? Asked avni. Aman nodded.

The prey is here!! Said aman with a smirk. After all he was the crime partner of her in everything.

Neela brought avni downstairs. Avni's eyes searched for the boy. But there were two boys sitting in the hall.

The boy with curly hair looked cute!

She looked at the other boy who was facing ashish and aman. She couldn't see his face. Ashish turned to her and smiled but as usual she ignored him.

They all were settled. Just then the boy and avni looked at each other. Their jaws dropped.

Avni was about to say something but then held it back. She gritted her teeth seeing him there.

Shweta was the one who was blabbering continuously. Bebe cut her in between and suggested the boy and avni to have a talk in private.

Avni took him towards the pool side. She turned towards him with anger.

WTH are you doing here? Asked avni. The boy raised his brow at her.

Are you serious!? Sometimes I feel you are literally stalking me.. I know I am handsome but- he was cut off by avni.

Have a look at your face in the mirror Mr. Neil khanna! She said while gritting her teeth.

Correction ACP Neil khanna.. He said with a smile. He loved to irritate her.

Listen.. Tum iss shadi ke liye mana kar do.. Mai tumse shaadi nahi kar sakti.. She said. Neil rolled his eyes.

As if I am dying to marry you.. Said Neil.

Ok then.. Go and tell the family that you have rejected me.. Said avni. Neil smirked.

I can't.. You have to do the honors.. Said Neil.

What do you mean by you can't.. Listen I promised my mother that I won't put any hurdles this time to stop the marriage.. Please.. Said avni.

Did you just say please said Neil teasingly. Avni's face turned red due to anger.

You!

Ok fine calm down lady don! Listen I am also bound by my mother's words.. I promised her.. So I can't back off.. So think of something else.. Said Neil.

Avni stomped her foot in annoyance. She was thinking a way out of this.

Do you love someone? Asked Neil. Avni looked at him.

Mind your own business! Said Avni. Neil smiled a bit.

So if you are single.. Then why are you running from marriage huh? Asked Neil.

Neil pressed the wrong nerve. Avni looked at him with anger.. all ready to pour her anger on him.

Because all the men are same.. They use women for their own benefits and leave them. And you know what.. That's why I don't trust these men species.. Because loyalty is never in their blood! She spat harshly. Neil was taken aback for a moment by seeing the anger in her eyes.

He saw her breathing heavily. He made her sit on the bench and made her drink water. He kneeled in front of her and held her hand. She tried to take her hand off from his grip but he held it tightly.

Yeh kya--

Sshh! Listen to me avni.. I don't know why have such opinion for men.. But let me tell you.. Not all the men are same.. Men also know to love.. To protect their loved ones..and stand by them when the time comes.. Said Neil politely. Avni was in tears.

Will you be able to love me ever if I say that I am not born out of a wedlock..that I am an illegitimate child of ashish mehta and ayesha haider? Will you be able to love me? Tell me? Asked avni. Neil just smiled and wiped her tears.

You being illegitimate doesn't matters.. Because it wasn't your fault anyway.. What matters is your character.. And trust me you are the purest soul I have ever seen.. Said Neil.

Avni looked at him in confusion.

That day I saw you playing with orphanage kids when I came there with bebe.. You thought I met you on the cliff for the first time? Nahh.. And I think I have already fallen for you! Said Neil and winked at her making her go all red.

So what now? Asked avni.

Are you ready to bear me all your life Ms.Mehta? Asked Neil and forwarded his hand. Avni smiled and placed her hand in his.

Yes Mr. Monkey! Said avni and laughed. Neil smiled as he remembered she gave him this name when they met at the cliff.

They went inside the house. The family members looked at them. Aman gave them teasing looks.

What took you so much time? Asked aman. Avneil went red listening to him. Neela glared at him making him shut his mouth.

So what's your decision? Asked ashish. Avni looked at neela and nodded. All looked at Neil. Neil looked at avni and then nodded.

Both the families got happy. They hugged each other and fed sweets to each other.

Avni looked at Neil and asked Bhaag toh nahi jaoge?

Tum pakad ke le aana said Neil and pulled her cheeks while she gave him a glare.

Aman came to them and hugged them.

Someone was telling that I don't want to marry? Now what happened huh? Asked aman teasingly. Avni looked at Neil and smiled.

Ab ACP sahab se koi Bach sakta hai kya? Said avni while smiling.

Voh toh hai.. Tumhe hamesha mere dil ki jail mein rehna hoga Mrs. Khanna.. Said Neil. Aman went from there giving them some privacy but not before looking at his sister. He was happy that finally she got her happiness in someone.

Neil entwined his fingers with hers and smiled at her.
