"Neil is that a mouth or something? We are struck. Oh my god!" Avni yelled banging the door hardly.

"Do you think my tongue is effective?" Neil asked still in shock.

"Neil shut up it's not a time for jokes. We are seriously struck alone in this whole campus. We need to get out or else everyone will get worried about us." Avni said hitting the door again.

"It's of no use Avni. Workers leave at six o'clock and now it's past six. I think everyone left the campus." Neil said from behind sighing.

"Then what should we do?" Avni questioned looking at him.

"I've a phone. I will call Rohan." Neil smirked as he saw Avni's red angry face.

"You... You...can't you tell earlier that you have a phone? You made me so worried." Avni hit Neil's shoulder, while Neil laughed taking mobile out of his jeans pocket.

"Oh sh*t!" Neil said angrily as he tapped phone harder in his hand.

"What happened?"

"Phone is dead Avni!" Neil sighed as he put his mobile back into the pocket. He rubbed his temple frustratingly as he starred at worried Avni.

"So what we do now?" Avni whispered lowly.

"Your phone?"

"I left it in the classroom!" Avni said running her hands into her hair.

"I think we have to stay here until someone come and rescue us." Neil said.

"We aren't dying Neil." Avni chuckled.

"Eventually We will. Do you know how cold weather gets at night? We will freeze here if necessary precautions are not taken." Neil mumbled as he observed the whole room. He then walked to the secluded corner and started wiping the dust off the ground with the broomstick which luckily happened to be there.

"Neil what are you doing?" Avni frowned.

"Setting our bed for tonight." Neil said breathless as he cleaned.

"But why? Rohan or Pari they will find us soon. It's unnecessary." Avni huffed crossing her arms to the chest.

"Do you really think they will find us? Avni be smart! First; for them it will take at least two hours to find that we are gone. Second; they don't know where we are even though they can see my bike and our bags in class room they still need to figure out where we went. So after wasting lots of time they will eventually use their brains and start searching each and every room in this campus, remember they had to open each classroom lock. By the time they get here it would be six o'clock in morning so we better clean and relax." Neil panted at last.

"Wow!" Avni said astonished. "You have calculated everything in mind? Wow."

"Yup. Now help me to clean so that we can rest."

"Orff! Done." Avni said breathless as she slid into the clean ground. Drops of sweat trickled down her face as she breathed down calm.

"Yea, done!" Neil, who has same condition as Avni said out of breath.

"Water! I need water Neil." Avni panted as she looked at Neil with a hopeful eyes.

"I'm Sorry topper, you have to wait until next morning." Neil whispered sadly.

"Don't apologise Neil. It's my fault. I shouldn't have dragged you into this mess."

Neil starred at Avni for few seconds before he took his handkerchief off his pocket.

"It's neither my fault nor yours. It's physics sir's fault. He didn't even look after us disappearing. Don't blame yourself." Neil said softly wiping the sweat off Avni's face and neck.

"Tomorrow I will personally dump files on his head." Avni gritted her teeth.

"Really?" Neil chuckled.

Avni nodded rolling her eyes.

"Neil, I want to tell you something." Avni mumbled starring at Neil. It's been one hour since they have been struck in the store room. All this time they had played few games, cracked jokes and laughed.

"What? You want to tell me Avni?" Neil asked confused.

Avni fidgeted her fingers as she looked down.

"I got job offer in your company Neil and I want to ask you, Is it okay for you? I mean me joining your company?" Avni fumbled, in return all he got was Neil's silence.

"Speak something Neil." Avni's eyes met Neil's and her heart dropped at the sight as his eyes were filled with tears.

"Neil what.... happened? Why.... are you crying?" Avni shuttered as she reached her fingers to his face to wipe the tears that were streaming down the cheek. But before she could ,Neil turned his head aside making her startled.

"Neil what happened? Did I say something wrong?" Avni asked softly as she saw Neil breathing hardly.

Neil nodded in a no.

"Then what happened Neil? Why tears?" Avni questioned biting her lower lip.

"I am monster right Avni?" His eyes reached hers. Avni had an astonished look listening to him.

"What?"

"You think me of monster right? That's why you are scared of me right?" Neil shot her a painful look as he said.

"No Neil I'm not scared of you. I was just asking you.." She gets cuts off by angry Neil.

"Yes,you are! You are scared of me or else you wouldn't ask me that." Neil exclaimed loud Making Avni gasp.

"Neillll..."

Neil shook his head cutting off what she was about to say.

"The look in your eyes---The look in your eyes when you asked me about the job thing making me feel like that Avni." He was crying now. The tears were dripping down his face onto his shirt.

"Neil no.. Its not like that." She said with a crocked voice.

"No Avni it's like that. I made your life hell. I ruined your life but Avni... that time my mind.... It was not stable. I was angry on you for making me remember my painful past and in rage I didn't knew what I was doing. Trust me Avni, in my life, I have never ever wrongly touched the women. I just don't know why I did that with you. Trust me." Neil said letting his head fall in his hands. She had never seen him like that before. It was so unlike him. Avni's stomach clenched as she put hand on Neil's shoulder.

"After all the mess, when I realized what I did. I feel like a monster.. a devil. Every day , In classroom when I look at your face and eyes I remember the things I did with you. Every day! Every freaking day. I feel how terrible I was towards you." He said lowly looking up at her.

Avni rubbed circles on Neil's shoulder as she let him say whatever he felt.

"Avni I feel so bad. My heart, it pains so much. After the discharge from the hospital I'm trying to forget everything but I can't . The second I close my eyes, I see you. The minute I sleep, I get nightmares of you yelling at me.. I Can't.... I can't do this anymore Avni. I know you forgave me and you have realized I'm not a horrible person but still you are afraid of me . You are asking me permission for...." Avni stiffened hearing Neil's words. She now realized why her words triggered him?

"I want to share my heart with someone Avni but no one is willing to speak with me after what I did. Dad, Rohan, no one talks with me. My mom, she is the only one who talks with me , who makes me feel human again. Then after I feel suffocation again as I remember how I destroyed some pure souls heart. I don't know if I ever get out of this guiltiness, this unseen pain. Please help me Avni please... I can't take this anymore, it's killing me from inside. Help me please!!!!"

He was rambling now that Avni could barely understood him . She rested her hands on his back and pulled him into a tight hug. Avni wished that there was some way to help him through what he was going through.

"I can't Avni. It's been so hard." Instantly his hands wrapped around her and his head was digging into her neck. Avni slowly rubbed her hands on his back soothingly.

"It's been hard Avni, so hard." He let tears out on her shoulder as he cried.

"Shhh. It's okay! It's okay" She whispered softly into his ears as she soothed him. Avni waited few seconds before she bought her hand up, raking his hair comfortably.

"I'm sorry Avni. So sorry! I shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry."

Avni felt tears well up in her eyes. His voice was broken that she could feel her own heart weep with pain. To think this was what how he was going through every single day broke her heart into million pieces.

"It's okay, I'm here." Avni broke the hug and saw red, tear stricken face of Neil. Her heart pained watching him so vulnerable and devastated. She slowly cupped his cheeks pulling his face forward to hers that their foreheads were resting against each other.

"I promise Neil. We will sort out everything. I promise I'll be with you. I promise." Avni breathed as she wiped tears off his cheeks with her thumb.

Neil's forehead rose as he starred at her intensely with his soaked eyes.

"I promise you Avni I will never hurt you. I promise!" He said letting his tears fall off his cheeks.
