Neil's Pov -

Last few days were beautiful and spiffing. I'd never forget them because avni had given me a chance to repent my mistakes even after I made her life hell.

When ria disclosed the truth, I was numb. Everything was blur, I realised without having any fault I made avni go through all the pain. I humiliated her, insulted her and finally made her characterless in front of everyone by recording that kiss and then leaking that into then internet.

I did sin, I realised, but it was of no use because i know I was too late to remorse my mistakes.

Soon, guiltiness ate me up. I couldn't focus on anything. when ever I closed my eyes I had nightmares of avni crying, sobbing cursing me , yelling at me for destroying her life. I was depressed and I knew avni would never forgive me for my sins, thus I took such a huge step of taking drugs again.

Yes, again. 

My past ruined me, I loved a cheater, cheap girl who had changed my perspective towards women. I wasn't a bad boy until she cheated on me. I was heartbroken, shattered especially terrified. I loved her so much, but she... She broke me. That's when I started taking  drugs, for the first time To ease the pain in my aching  heart. And from that time I had changed totally, I hated women to the core , scared that they would hurt me again if  i give my love to them  and maybe that made me a monster to the innocent girl avni. 

I've never been  a coward, but situations made me. When I got to know about the truth of Avni's innocence, I was devastated ,didn't knew how to repent. Anxiety kicked in as  I was lonely at that time. Dad, rohan no one talked with me except my mom because she didn't knew about all the mess I've created. I was sad, depressed and what not. I never felt that much pain in my heart not even when my ex-girlfriend made out in front of me. It was horrible, I wanted freedom from the pain, from the guiltiness of ruining avni . And decided to commit suicide.

But, I didnt knew  I've had a  good fate. God gave me  an another chance, nah! Avni gave me an another chance to rectify my mistakes. Now, I will go to any extent to make her happy I will make sure she wouldn't cry anymore.

Thinking all this, I walked into the classroom with a broad smile. I entered inside and saw avni is already present there. She was into the books, must be studying.

"Good morning avni! " I chirped gaining her attention.she lifted her face up from book glanced at me with a soft smile.

"Good morning Neil! ".

"So, can I sit here? " I hesitated to ask as I saw Avni's friend Pari glaring at me with angry eyes. I gulped slightly.

"Of course, you can Neil. Come, have a seat. " Avni chuckled and patted the place beside her.

"Yeah, but Why Pari is looking at me like she doesn't like me sitting here? " I asked nervously.

"oh....yes mister, Avni has given you chance  not me. " before avni could reply, Pari said gritting her teeth. Annoyance is clearly written on her face and in her tone and i knew why?

"Stop it Pari!" Avni elbowed her from beside. "Neil, don't mind her. Come sit !".

I nodded and sat beside her.

"It will take some time, Pari is  angry on you. But don't worry she will be normal. " Avni  whispered and took her book again and started reading.

"You really act like a topper.  " I chuckled watching avni who buried her face into books without wasting a second time.

"What did you mean by ' I act like a topper ' ?" she frowned, her lips pouted. the sight of her lips pouting made me gulp , i remember kissing those lips ....bruising them to the extent that she bleed im such a monster.

" Neil !where are you lost ?" I snapped out of my thoughts . I smiled shyly as how i realizd i got zoned out  while having a conversation .

" Tell  me what you mean ? " Avni asked again.

"Er.. Aah.. I mean. Most of the people have misconception that toppers read books 24/7 which is absolutely wrong. See I'm brilliant but I don't read all the time. Now, after watching you reading without a second gap, I had thoughts that people's misconception is going to-be true about toppers. " I said and laughed .

"Seriously! " She rolled her eyes and smiled.

"Yeah, " we sat at silence for sometime .

"So, Did you talk with rohan? " Asked avni with curiosity.

"No, not yet ".

"Should I talk with him? " Avni seemed sad, I starred at her black eyes which were now filled with worry. She's so pure ,helping me with reuniting with my friend forgetting everything and I hurt her .How can I do this blunder ? Why haven't I saw this side of hers? Why God why?

"I'm okay, don't worry avni. We will sort out everything soon. " I smiled softly,  she looked at me, her eyes met mine. They were so hypnotizing, and beautiful.

Gosh ,I can stare at those eyes forever.

"Yeah! " Avni whispered before she buried herself into the books again.

Avni's Pov -

College was over but , as I had few doubts I stayed at college library. Moreover, Neil insisted to be with me to clear all my doubts in physics which was actually a good thing as He's best in that subject.

"Okay, I think we should leave! . " I said tired. Neil glanced at me and nodded. I started packing my bag and saw Neil doing the same.

"I will drop you? " Neil said.

"No it's okay, I will manage. " I smiled.

"It's not okay avni. Pari had left already and it's night. " Neil said as he crossed his hands to his chest.

"Hello, it's evening. " I giggled pulling the zipper of my bag.

"You are impossible. Now let's go, as you don't have any other choice than coming with me. " he sa

After sometime we've reached our apartment. I bid adieu to Neil and left to my flat. As soon as I entered,  I greeted Pari and walked to my room to freshen up.

Later, I jumped into the bed and sighed deeply. Today was such an exhausting day, I had classes continuously. But the best thing that happened was I had company of Neil. He literally made me laugh all the time, and cleared my doubts in an easier way. I really don't know why I started feeling comfortable around him, even though he did terrible to me. Most of the students starred at us like i  had grown two heads and I know why. They must me thinking about that video. I sighed and grabbed my phone to distract myself from the negative thoughts. Soon, I started watching YouTube videos that's when my phone started ringing and the caller was vidyut.

My eyes widened, I realized yesterday I didn't call him back . I gulped slightly before I reverted.

"Vi.." before I could utter a word ,I heard him.

"Heeeewyyyyyyy Aaaavvvvvni " His voice was slurred, like he had been drunk.

"Vidyut... Are you drunk? " I asked, there was absolute silence for a second before he replied again with the same tone.

"Yaaasssss babbbbyyyy any probleemmmmm? " He said.  I gritted my teeth.

"You are drinking in morning? Are you even in your senses? " I said in anger. 

"I'm not in my senses baby, " he hicupped and laughed .

"Don't call me baby " I said sternly.

"Awe, I could imagine your face when you get angry. you look fierce and hot. "  he replied.

I was stunned, how dare he to speak like that? How can he even think about me like that?

"Shut up! Come back to senses! " I shouted, my anger has no limits. I was shivering with rage.

He laughed.

he freaking laughed ,exactly like a maniac.

"Baby, watch your tongue. I owe you, remember? " he says.

I stayed silent because it's truth what he said. I owe him, he literally gave me time for clearing debts but it doesn't mean that he'd speak or think nonsense about me. at  this second iwant to yell, shout on him like  anything but i stayed silent .

"You know what Avni, whenever I close my eyes you appear in my dreams. I couldn't myself help but think about you all the times, you have that much effect on me. " his voice slurred again, I tried my best not to lose my temper listening to his words. I had to control myself or else..

"Avni.. Avni.. What you have done to me.. Avni.. When we will get married na.. " Suddenly I cut him off.  Marriage? No I'd never marry him.

"I will pay, before hand vidyut. Sorry to burst your bubble. I'd never marry you " I said coldly.

"Okay. But what if you won't clear before the time? Do you know what I want do with you? " he whispered.

I choose to be silent.

"I want tie you to bed ,blindfold you ,  then I want have my way in you whether you like it or not. I want to do this, every day and night until you submit to me like a slave. "

My eyes shot red with anger, how low he was thinking about me? I don't know how but tears blurred my vision. a few drops leaked down the corner of my eye .

"Vidyut, how dare you to speak like that? Comeback to senses. " I tried hard not to sound weak, I couldn't control myself, hearing those disgusting words. He's so cruel, he' monster in disguise of human.

"I'm in my senses avni... I love you so much, I promise after our marriage I'd never let you go away from me. You will be mine... Only mine.. " before he can speak more I threw my phone away in  rage. I can't hear anymore. He's monster in disguise of human, until now I thought he's some what nice guy but no I was wrong, he's cheap. he is a monstor.

I slowly stepped back to the wall and slid down crying " why me?" . i hiccuped and buried my palms into my face.

"Oh my God, avni what happened? " I heard, I looked up to see Pari standing at my door step with widen eyes.

"Pari.. " I cried out. She immediately ran to me and hugged me tight. "Avni, what happened why are you crying oh my god! i heard breaking sound and...avni what's happening?" she asked, I trembled.

"Pari.. Vidyut... He's a monster, " I sobbed. Pari wiped my tears. 

"What happened please tell me, you were fine before what happened all of the sudden." she questioned.

"Vidyut, he's speaking nonsense Pari. He's disgusting... " I shuttered and told her everyday that happened minutes ago.

"Pari, what If I unable to pay his debt? What if he marries me then ...."i bit my lips and cried.

"Avni, nothing will happen like that,  we will pay him don't worry "

"How can't I? I don't have job now and if I go in search also it will take sometime how will I pay him I'm so scared Pari "

"Shh, avni please don't cry. We will find some solution. You can pay him, there's so much time left for you then why are you worried. Even I will help you I've some savings "

"No Pari, I don't want your money. I will again do some job hunting , hopefully this time I will find something soon " I wiped my eyes with my elbows and sniffed.

"I won't let him touch me or my family." I gritted my teeth and clenched my fists.

I've been busy lately. sorry for the late updates .oh guys, I know how you miss this book but.. It's okay ,I will try my best to give frequent updates :).
