Author's Pov -

"Tell me everything rohan. I want to know Neil's past. " Avni asks determined.

"It's a long story.  " Rohan chuckles. 

"I don't care. What happened in his past that he hates girls this much?" She mutters.

Rohan sighs.

"Well, can you believe me if I say Neil never hated girls, Instead he always respected them." Rohan says smiling.

Avni, Pari noded negatively.

"So, It all started in our 10 th grade." Rohan started but his words get cuts off .

"What? 10th class seriously? " Pari interupts him.

"Shut up, pari. Let him speak. " Avni glares at her.

Pari nodes.

"Neil Khanna. In our school the name itself had a huge fan base not because he was some popular bad boy, it's because He was a crazy, bubbly, chirpy boy that everyone adored and loved . " Rohan explained.

Avni was stunned, she'd never ever dream of Neil being bubbly. It's like a wonder to her and she even can't imagine him being sweet as he always had behaved rough with her.

"Neil always liked smiling, and loved making others smile. Can you believe me if I say Neil never cried? He was a joyful human and always tired to find happiness in every damn thing maybe that's what made him unique in our school. Neil was intelligent , enormously rich but he never showed pride of being a rich kid. He made friends with everyone, never showed any partiality among people. He was so different from others. " Rohan continues.

"Neil smiles to? Never seen him. " Pari says with disbelief.

"Pari, if you open your mouth again I'm gonna kill you. " Avni elbowed her. "Don't mind her rohan, Continue please. "

Rohan noded.

"Neil always respected women, he respected our class girls,even his house maid . He never disgraced anyone like hell, He'd never  even think like that. You know, one sunday Neil started cooking in kitchen with her mom. I wondered why , later when I asked him about it you know what was his answer?  "

"His answer was, Rohan I'm learning to cook for two people, first for my family ;second for my future wife, because I want to make her feel like a princess, giving her everything she wants. You know, luxury doesn't mean big houses, money. Actual luxury is taking care of your partner in a beautiful way, making her food by  own hands, it may look like a small gesture but it carries all the love. So, I thought to learn from now itself so that I can help my future wife."

"I was stunned hearing his reply, really Neil was different from others I thought. Being rich, he never cared about money, he loved human and emotions. You know avni, every Saturday, Sunday Neil visits orphanage and old age home and spends time with them. He knew they were all alone in this world and he wants to make them happy. " Rohan says.

Avni listens on, she was flabbergasted by knowing that Neil was once a sweet boy with big heart. Hearing rohan about Neil's nature and his doings her heart fluttered , such a wonderful human, she thought.

"Words are less to describe such a person, he was a pure soul with kind heart who cared about others. In the era where everyone is behind attention, money, and all he was behind love and care.One thing I know about Neil is ,He never knew the word named sorrow or pain. He didn't knew what is a heart break. " Rohan smile fades away.

"He was...totally  a different person?Then what happened to him ? " Avni asked curiously.

"One day, in mid term a girl named ahana joined our school. She has brown eyes, olive skin . She was the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, not only me everyone, even Neil was. As per I know She was middle class girl and talked less in class but Neil.. He instantly liked her. He always starred her in class, stalked her instagram which was actually a huge shocker for me. When I asked him about this and that day Neil confessed, he liked ahana and asked me to help him in friendship. As Neil was never been in a relation before so, I helped him. Soon they both become friends and then one day he proposed her and she accepted it. "  he explains.

"Neil was madly, crazily in love with her. Every minute of an hour he talked about her. He loved her more than anything that He even talked with his parents about her for marriage, initially his mother denied  but later accepted seeing Neil. You know avni, Neil loved her so much that he even imagined future with her, he imagined babies and their names too. I remember, Ayan for a boy; Rose for a girl because he loved Roses. " He says.

"Neil loved her that much? She is lucky. " Avni says with a smile.

"Yes, can't describe, Neil loved her like she's the only girl present in this world, you won't believe me Neil never glanced another women after he came in relation with ahana. He wanted to make her princess of his heart. He loved her much that he wanted her to rule his heart. I never knew what they talked in private but I know Neil was deeply drowned in her love that he couldn't see her real intentions. " Rohan grits his teeth.

Avni frowns.

"What do you mean by real intentions? Don't say she is a gold digger. "  Avni gasps with widen eyes.

"Not a gold digger but more than that" Rohan says in rage.

"What do you mean? Tell us fast. " Pari says.

Rohan's Pov - flashback.

It was Neil and ahana's four month anniversary for a relation Moreover that day was Our final day at school as our 10 board exams were over. Everyone was happy, especially Neil was happy as he thought to take ahana out.

"Neil, where is she? We are getting late." I asked Neil as we waited  for her outside but she didn't came .

"I will go and bring her , maybe busy with friends. " Neil smiled.

"I will accompany you, moreover you forgot me already. Can't imagine after your marriage will you ever meet me?" I rolled my eyes.

"My cute buddy, I'd never forget you. You are my best best best friend. " he hugged me tight. And we went in search of her, then suddenly we heard some weird noises in our classroom. Neil and I exchanged glances before I opened the door only to witness horrible thing not horrible terrible.

Ahana , she was half naked, making out with some  guy in our classroom.

I was stunned, angry and sad. That second the only thing I thought is, ways to kill her without being caught. Because, How could she do that with my best friend? With Neil who loved her so much.

Then, I saw Neil beside, who stood like a statue without having any expression. His face was blank and emotionless. But.. His eyes.. His eyes were teary.

Whereas Aahana, she saw us yet she didn't stop what she was doing , she continued infront of I and Neil ,still Neil didn't uttered a word.

"AHANA " I shouted.

She broke the kiss and looked at me smirking.

"What the hell are you doing? You were cheating on Neil? " I lashed out with red eyes.

She wore her top and walked to us. Right then we saw many others peeping inside of the room. They were students from different classes and they didn't left school yet.

"Finally, you both saw us. I was dead pretending." she smirked looking at Neil.

"What do you mean by pretending ? And can we just talk in private? " I asked.

"Awe rohan, if you want to do talk speak here only why scared? Okay honestly, I liked Neil but not as a soulmate but for some other things. " she exclaims.

"Cut the crap " I screamed but on other side Neil was silent, looking at her with moist eyes.

"I never loved Neil. All I liked was his hot sexy body and his money. But Neil, he never gave me that. He never had sex with me all he did was cuddling. When I asked him about kiss, he said he'd do that after marriage like what dude? " she said venomously.

"Are you crazy? How could you do that with him. You cheated on him " I gritted my teeth.

"I'm not crazy but I think your friend is. I think Neil is not a man because how can he resist me and see now also he isn't speaking anything , a man would speak and lash out but he.. He's like a baby crying ." she smirked.

"Ahaha ,mind your language. " I shouted.

"Why should I? I'm stating facts. Neil never behaved like a man. Always, behind those useless orphans and all. At least he didn't even let him kiss. And now I'm sick of pretending like a good girl. Now I understood Neil would never give me what I wants because I know he's a gay. " she huffed.

And I heard gasps and murmuring of the crowd who's been watching us.

"What the hell " I screamed.

"I'm saying true. Neil is a waste , he can't be a good boyfriend or husband. He's rich but  he wouldn't give what a girl wants. Neither money nor body. " she laughed.

"For God sake we are in 10 th grade and what rubbish are you taking you cheat. You betrayed him and have audacity to speak like this.. I couldn't speak more as Neil ran away from there.

I turned around to see people starring at Neil who's running. All were gossiping and some looked shocked.

"You will rot in hell ahana. I swear. " I screamed on her and left in search of Neil.

FLASHBACK ends.

"Oh my God, how could she do that? For God sake ,He loved her. " Avni says in shock and anger.

"You know avni, first time.... For the first time I saw tears in Neil's eyes. First time... I saw him vulnerable unable to speak a word out... And... Her words.. Her each word about him made my heart clench. How could she? He loved her so much avni but.. She.. She... She said he.. Is a.. " Rohan sobbed.

Avni felt herself crying. Her heart pained.

"She made out in front of him....what Neil must have felt about that?....for God sake he loved her damn much. She didn't even said sorry. She didn't regret her deeds... Neil was another toy for her... " Rohan cried out.

"His love was real but hers? She never loved him. She tied him in web of lies. She wanted him for her desires. She called him names and what not. It was humiliating for Neil. She said all those in front of everyone. How could she? Doesn't she have a heart? " Rohan says whimpering.

Avni couldn't do anything rather than thinking about the night of freshers day. It looked like an exact scenario. Avni's heart thumped massively as soon as she realized why Neil reacted like that way. Indirectly she rubbed on his healed wounds.

"T..hen..... wh..at.. hap..pened to Neil ?" Avni shuttered with tears.

"After that, Neil never smiled again. "
