Happy new year ✨. I wish this year gives you much strength & makes you stronger to face the hurdles that life throws on you .

I know it's completely different wish but this is the bitter truth.If you're strong enough to face any problem then joy,  love, happiness will walk into your life easily.

This is a new year gift from my side. I wrote this chapter yesterday and updated today so please ignore errors.

Author's Pov

Next day, Neil came early to college. He had plans to make avni happy but not sure though as he doesn't know anything about her likes and dislikes except she loves panipuri.

Neil put beautifully wrapped gift box inside of her desk and went to his place smiling sheepishly. He was so thankful to her that she didn't support Dean's order though he deserved to be out of college.

Later, College first bell rang. Avni walked inside of classroom along with Pari. Neil heart beat raised as soon as avni entered inside. he was mesmerized watching her beauty. She looked so beautiful in an Indian attire. Her dress perfectly sticked to her curves making her look more alluring. But soon Neil observed she wasn't smiling. Her face looked pale with black bags which isn't a good sign. Neil knew her condition is coz of him only. He felt sad.

"I know avni it's difficult to forgive me after all my past deeds. But I promise I'll bring smile back on your face. " Neil thought and smiled but soon he heard something which made his blood boil.

"Hey, look not so innocent avni is back. I thought she is decent but no.. We can have chance with her. Let's ask for a night " Neil heard whispers of his classmates who sat next to him. He clenched his fists so hard that his knuckles turned white. But he controlled his anger.

"Look at her back dude, Sexy. I wish I could remove her Dori strings. But Neil jaisa chance hamae kab milega bhai? " Another boy said. That's it Neil lost his temper.

He slammed his fists infront of their desks making them jump with fear.

"If you ever dare to speak dirty about her or if you ever see her in an immoral way again. I swear I'll make sure you guys rot in jail." Neil threatened darkly. His voice was just a small whisper yet it was enough to scare the shit out of those guys. His eyes were deep red.

Those two boys gulped and nodded okay.

"Good, Now don't you dare to look at her. Keep your eyes down in front of her or else .." Neil warned ,sat at his place and watched avni. Who's chewing her lips.

On other side avni heard whispers about her and Neil's relation but she could care less. Now her aim is only her studies. This time no one can disturb her.

"I've missed alot of lectures. Ugh! Now I've alot of work uff " Thinking this Avni placed her books in desk but to her surprise she felt something hard inside.

Avni bend down to desk level and observed shiny thing.She frowned deeply before taking that outside.

"Pari, see this! " Avni showed Pari the box which is beautifully wrapped and decorated.

"Hey what's this? Looks like a gift. Open it! " she said excitedly.

Avni glared her.

"But who will put this here iny desk" Avni asked confused.

"Avni, please open it let's see what's inside then we will decide kisne reka." Pari replied.

Meanwhile Neil's face glowed like a bulb as he watched avni who's opening the gift.

"I hope you like it avni. Though it's just a small gift " Neil smiled.

“ Chocolates to the most sweetest girl in the world ❤💋 ”

Avni read this and frowned.  She opened the wrapper of gift and realises there are lots of different types of dairymilk silks, ferrero rocher, kitkat and many other branded chocolates.

"OMG chocolates. That too this much. Lagta hai pura shop hi kardlia" Pari gasped loudly.

Avni bit her inner cheeks. Her lips lined thin with anger. She knew who put this here.

"Avni, give me na I'm so hungry. I want to eat. Omg kit kat " she licked her lips.

"Shut up ,Pari we don't know who put here and we can't eat others chocolates but I'm sure it's him. " avni turned back and glared at Neil.

Neil observed avni was starring at him angrily . He gulped slightly and looked away not resisting her intense gaze.

"I won't leave that moron. How dare him to give me this huh? Did he think I'm that much cheap?  Can't I buy chocolates my myself " Avni fumed.

"Avni chodo Neil ko. Vusne itna Kia so ye sab dena banta hai vusae. Let's eat na see itne costly chocolates hamae kon dega? " she whispered.

"No way we are not eating these chocolates I'll throw this on his face right now infront of whole class. " Avni was about to get up but she saw professor entered into the classroom.

"Ugh... What the hell can't he come after five minutes. " Avni chided professor in mind  while Neil chuckled watching Avni's irritable face.

"Hey mister... " Avni shouted running behind Neil who's walking in the corridor of college.

"Me..? But my name is Neil right? " Neil said innocently.

Avni gritted her teeth.

"what the hell do you think of your self huh? " Avni shouted completely shrugging his previous question.

"What did I do now? " Neil whined like a child.

Avni fumed more.

"Don't act innocent. You placed  chocolates for me didn't you?  What do you think I'll take your useless gifts and forgive you huh! Smajte kya hogaya apne ap ko. How dare you to..." her words get an abrupt end as Neil hushes her by placing finger on her lips.

"Shh.. Kitna bolti Ho tum! " Neil chuckled lightly.

Avni eyes widened and immediately she jerks his hand off.

"You... "

"Listen first Madam " Neil sighed.
"I don't know what you're talking about. What chocolates..what do you mean? " he asked casually.

Avni furrowed her eyesbrows at him.

"Don't play smart huh! I'm damn sure it was you only! Who can gift me  chocolates other than you? " Avni hissed showing gift to him.

Neil crossed his arms to his chest and leaned back to wall causally Watching Avni's red face.

"What made you think it was me avni..is their my name written in that? " Neil smriked.

"Vo.. I know.... it's you...only " Avni stammered as he was true there's no name in that.

"How do you now it's me ? It could have be your secret lover  who's crushing over you. See just for you how much that poor guy spent in these candies. Chocolates Se Impress karna chahta tha , that but atlast credits mujae mil rahe for that gift Wow.  " Neil chuckled.

Avni gritted her teeth.

"Don't trick me. It's you. I know.  " she screamed and clenched her fists.

"I even don't know you like chocolate's. But your secret admirer know, that's why he gifted you." Neil said.

"Forget that first, But tell me why did you thought my name by seeing that gift ? It could have be your friends right but no you came straightly to me. " he adds.

Avni bit her inner cheeks. He was speaking truth. Why did she thought Neil's name first?

"It's because..  " Avni whispered slowly. She bit her lips nervously thinking what to say.

Neil smiled watching her confused face.

"You naughty, don't say you're thinking about me whole day. " Neil said teasingly.

Avni gasped.

"Shut up. No way. I wasn't thinking about you. I thought you can only do those type of  cheap tricks to trap me once again in your web. That's it"  Avni spat on his face angrily.

Neil felt hurt with her words but he composed himself.

"Okay, give me those chocolates if you don't want to eat Coz you know I love them so much."  Neil whispered.

Avni glared at him. "I'll trash in dustbin rather than giving you "

"Listen to me, there's no use of throwing them away because the person who's crushing over you ,his  heart will crush like a candy crush." Neil laughed and extended his hand towards her to take chocolates. "

"Stop , it's mine. Mujae Mile hai tumhe nhi. Bichara kisi ne pyar ye diya mujae and I thought it's you.Yuk.. I'll find that person and I'll give back to him  and by the way Don't you have shame to ask others chocolates that too gifted one " avni said with disgusted face.

"I don't have little bit of shame when it comes to my closed ones " Neil winked and left from there leaving confused avni behind.

Later, in afternoon Neil was thinking about how his life is going on. How blindly he forgot his morals and ruined Avni's life. Neil's mind suddenly drifted to his past, his jaw clenched tight remembering ahana and her deeds. He was pissed now.

"Because of she, I committed such a huge crime. Just coz of her. " Neil thought but Suddenly he saw avni in library munching his given chocolates. He knew if he say it's him she will rip his head out of his body.

Neil chuckled remembering her confused face but He too started thinking why did avni thought it's him at first pace. Maybe because he was behind her?

Neil shrugged and looked at avni. She was eating chocolate like a kid. She held book in One hand while from other she held chacolate.

Neil could see a little bit of chocolate smeared into her upper lip just beside her beauty mole. Neil's hands itched to wipe that melted cocoa but he knew if he does then that second would be his last day in this world. So Neil withdrew the urge of wiping and left to classroom feeling happy.

Avni's Pov

Today was such a not so amazing day. At first I was attacked by whispers and weird stares of students and later that chocolate gift. I don't know who gave me  but that box really embarrassed me in front of Neil. I thought it's him who placed in my desk as I thought he wanted to say sorry but It was someone who I don't know.

But I'm angry on myself, I ate those chocolates. Actually, I was so hungry at afternoon that I couldn't resist those chocolates. you know I'm a human right? Specially girl. Let me tell you. They were so good, umm so tasty I'm thankful to that boy who brought this.

It's our last lecture and I'm still thinking who would be that person. Who will have crush on me after watching that video. But my sudden thought's came to halt as soon as I felt someone beside me. It was familiar scent.

I looked aside and realised its Neil.

"What the hell are you doing here " I screamed.

Neil closed his ears. "Don't shout "

"Why shouldn't I ?  I retorted back coz I hate his presence, his touch, his smell.

"I'm here because, its my favorite lecture and it's front bench " he said causally taking book out from his bag.

"Move, go away from me " I glared at him.

" Sorry, I like this place. " He whispered.

"I'll kill you ,if you don't go from here. I swear " I was about to hit him but our professor came. Not having any option I sat beside him.

Later lecture came to an end. It was horrible sitting beside criminal who ruined your life.

I was packing my bag and Neil walked towards me But I ignored him.

He cleared his throat.  "what? " I said harshly.

"Thank you" He smiled.

" For what? " I asked confused.

He came dangerously close to me. His breath fanned on my neck.

"For accepting my gift. Eating my given chocolates.  " he whispered into my ears.

My eyes popped out of my sockets "WTF "...

"I'm glad you liked my gift avni " before I could react Neil winked at me and ran away.

I stood flabbergasted listening to his confession . Such a dumbo I am ? Like a fool I believed all his lies.
I ate his given chocolates. I freaking ate them.

"Ugh! Neil I won't leave you today .I'll kill you " I slammed my fists into bench fuming with anger. I jaw clenched tight

"You will pay for making me fool you useless Neil. " I shouted.

I hope he heard me.
