Neil's Pov

It's been thirty minutes that I have admitted avni in hospital. She is still unconscious which made me shiver like hell. By passing minutes, my heart thumped so hard and fast as the mere thought of loosing her passed inside of my brain.

I sat outside of avni room, all drenched top to bottom from rain water. I felt so cold in wet clothes yet I could care less .But soon a thought swirled inside of me.

Shit! I should inform someone right?

I don't know Avni's friends except Pari, Rahul maybe now.. Rohan.

I immediately took my phone out and dialled Pari's number. She didn't lift my call at first. I tried many times after nth call, She reverted but I immediately regretted calling her.

"You assho*e don't you dare to call me again or else I'll bury you alive with leeches sticked all-around your body " she screamed and hanged the call off.

"WHAT THE HELL ?" I was shocked to the core listening to her words.

Oh lord ! Such a badass girl.

"Avni is doing friendship with this type of girl? Like seriously She will spoil Avni". I thought

I understand she is angry for hurting her friend but at least she should listen to me right?

I sighed and thought to text her about Avni's condition but to my surprise the msg didn't work.

"wtf! She blocked me". I was beyond angry. How could she?

Neil what do you expect  for hurting her friend?

"LAdkiyon ko ye yek hi kamm atha hai "BLOCK "ugh!

Now what to do? Whom should I inform about avni. I even don't have number of Rahul.

Rohan?

I think I should call him. No.. no I'll text him.

To Rohan -
       Avni suddenly fainted on road I have admitted her in xyz hospital. Please inform to her friend Pari & this is not a joke.  ~ Neil

I sent the above message and immediately switched my phone off coz I was shit scared to talk with rohan. He will kill me for sure as now he knows the truth behind the video.

I again sighed audibly as suddenly past things started to revolve around my brain. The way I have hurted avni.. The way I forced her to kiss. The way I humiliated her. Poor she.! I remember how Avni begged for mercy but what I did? I behaved like a monster and see now what happened?

But all of sudden I felt someone pat me on Shoulder. I jerked off  from my thoughts and turned around to see an old lady maybe of 60's.

She looked at me with an odd expression. I felt weird. I wanted to ask why did she call me before I could have she spoke.

"Beta... I know how you're feeling but please don't cry... Boy's look awful when they cry " she said.

Wait what? Am I crying ?

I placed my hands on my cheeks then realised I was indeed crying and I..don't .. know.?

I looked at her confused.

"I.. M.. Not.. Crying " I barely whispered looking down.

"Yeah , I could see! " she laughed. "By the way your girlfriend is so lucky to have you! " She adds.

My eyes widened. I was shocked to the core.

WTF she is thinking!

"I'm not her.. Before I could say Avni is not my girlfriend " doctor came out from Avni's room. I hurriedly walked towards him ignoring the previous encounter with that women.

"Doctor is she alright? Nothing happened to her right? Why she fainted? " I questioned restlessly.

"Mr. Neil She is fine. Just her bp tuned high and she got anxiety all of sudden ". He said.

"She is fine na. Nothing will happen right? " I asked again, I was afraid.. So afraid.

"Yes..No need to worry and if you want , you can see her now but she is still unconscious " doctor said.

"Thank you! " I muttered.

"I'll take leave if she wakes up  please inform nurse " Doctor left saying.

I walked towards door and held the door knob. I suddenly felt so scared to open . I hated hospitals because of my past. I have deadly nightmares associated with hospitals.

I opened the door and saw avni is sleeping on bed.  Her face looked so peaceful. I observed her breath,it  was calm and steady.

Slowly, I tip toed towards her bed. She laid there, still attached with saline drip to her left hand. Her face pale white. Even though her skin resembled milk white and smooth, right now she looked like a corpse. The veins under her pale skin looked even more pronounced and I didn't like it at all. Her lips were chapped dry. She looked so weak just like a plastic doll. I feared I'll break if I touch her body.

I sat beside her bed. I don't know when ,but my eyes started pouring water outside.

I sniffed watching avni like that. It's all coz of me. I'm at fault for her condition. Because of my selfishness she is in hospital. I wiped my tears off my cheeks.

With my shaking hands I held her right hand. I suddenly jerked as I felt her hands so cold.

I sighed.

"I'm so sorry avni! " I muttered and held her right hand tenderly and brought it to my lips placing a feather light kiss over her knuckles. I don't know why I did that gesture.

I'm screwed!

"Please forgive me.. I'm sorry! " I cried tears escaped out my eyes like a stream. I know she won't hear all this but.

A small black strand of her black hair danced on her forehead due to cool breeze of Air-conditioner. I smiled and slowly tugged it behind her ears.

I stared at her face sometime hoping she would wake up but she didn't  it's almost thirty minutes I sat there watching her with my teary red eyes.
But finally I thought to bring something for her.

I'm donkey how could I forget to bring fruits! Ugh..

"I'll just come in a minutes okay! " I smiled taking to unconscious Avni.

Neil you officially lost your mind! RIP :'(

I finally looked at her last and left the room but little bit I  knew that's going to be last visit of her for today.

Author's Pov

Neil brought medicines and fruits for avni. He was bit relaxed that she is fine now. Neil knew when avni opens her eyes and sees him, she will burst out like a volcano but he could care less. Neil was so adamant to speak with avni and to seek forgiveness.

He took everything and led towards Avni's ward room. He had slight smile plastered on his face, actually he himself doesn't know why did his heart is glittering when he is with avni, why he felt so peaceful.

But soon Neil smile vanishes as soon as he observes Rahul, and rohan outside of Avni's room. He assumed Pari is in with avni.

Neil's heart thumped hard. Suddenly his body went cold and stiff. He knew what's gonna happen next and he is mentally preparing himself.

"Neil.. Calm down! Shh " Neil calmed down himself and walked forward plastering fake confidence.

Rahul who observed Neil coming, his face turned red with Anger.

"You Bas*d what did you do with her again? " Rahul yelled out as he tightly gripped Neil's collor.

Neil's eyes widened as well rohan's. 

"What the hell! " Neil gritted his teeth. "Rahul for God's sake we are in hospital we will talk later..Not now! " a second later he  replied calmly.

"what? You fucki*g hurt her and have audacity to say to talk later " Rahul screamed as he jerked Neil's collar off.

Rohan stood calm and silent aside , he was so hurt to even speak with Neil. He not only betrayed avni but also he broke Rohan's trust.

"Avni suddenly fainted on road it's all your fault that you guys left her alone. You should thank  me that I was there for her... But Neil's words gets cut off by rahul.

"Excuse me! What? Say again "  Rahul laughed.

Neil looked here and there. His jaw tightened but he calmed his nerves down.

"I.. Saved her.. " Neil whispered after he took large breath.

A loud gasp escaped from Rahul's mouth.

"You saved her ? Like seriously?" Rahul smirked ."Can I ask who's behind her condition. What made her faint? " He asked this time his voice was so serious.

Neil stood silent. He doesn't have any answer for his question coz he is at fault but right now he doesn't want fights coz avni was still unconscious inside. Neil looked at rohan who stood silent, he knew he lost his friend long back.

Neil signed audibly.

"Rahul.. . Listen I dont want any fight over here ,See avni is still unconscious and we are in hospital please don't create scene here " Neil pleaded.

"Wow.. Just wow Neil Khanna." Rahul clapped his hands. Everyone in hospital stared at them.
"Why do you care for her? You wanted this only right? Finally she is broken, shattered and admitted in hospital. Now happy ?" Rahul mocked Neil.

"Raha.. " Neil's words get cut off.

"Get out! " Rohan suddenly blurts out.

Neil gasped with widened eyes.

"what..? " Neil trails off as he watched his best friend rohan who's face resembled red with fury. Neil could see the tightened jaw of him.

"I SAID GET OUT FROM HERE! Like you told, we shouldn't be creating scene. So will you go please ? " Rohan said sternly directly looking at Neil.

Neil stared at rohan for sometime. His eyes watered , his words hurt him alot but Neil controlled himself.

"No..I won't. I won't leave until I see avni is fine! " Neil retorted stubbornly.

"Hello, who are you to take care of avni. You are her criminal who molested her. Remember? " Rahul piped in.

Neil was so furious. His knuckles turned white. He was so angry on them for speaking like that.

"I SAID I WON'T LEAVE! I won't go until I myself see avni is all fit and fine " Neil gritted his teeth.

"Neil.. please leave! " Rohan muttered, this time calmly.

"Rohan what the hell. what are you guys are doing huh ? I know I'm at fault but .. "

"Bipolar aren't you Mr. Neil ? " Rahul interrupted.

Neil glared Rahul deadly.

"Why are you gazing me like you would eat me alive! " Rahul joked. "By the way I won't taste good!" he laughs on his own joke.

"It's actually not funny Rahul and let me tell you both I will be with avni until she gets discharged from here! " Neil said sternly.

"You won't! " Rohan said in a serious tone.

"I.. WILL! " Neil said not looking at rohan.

"Neil.. I beg you .. Please leave.. I don't want avni hurt more. What you did with her is alot and now please leave her at peace. Stay away from her Please! " Rohan folds his hands at Neil suddenly.

Neil was taken back. His eyes fill tears as for the first time this is happening. But rohan is right. He will hurt her more if he would be her a second. He knew avni disgusts his face, he knew she doesn't want to talk. Then reality hit him. He is her criminal, he made her life fun publicly and now with what right he will talk with her?

"I want to apologize " Neil mumbled, a lone tear escaped from his eyes.

"Apologize like seriously? You're screwed Neil Khanna." Rahul said sarcastically.

Neil was now only looking at rohan with teary eyes. He wants to first apologize to him.

"Rohan... I wanna "

"I'm going to meet doctor so please take of Avni until I return " rohan said to Rahul and left from there without even glancing at Neil. He just couldn't handle the betrayal of his best friend. At first He was struck between avni and Neil But now Neil's is wrong and rohan wasn't able to digest that fact that he went to large extent for his revenge that he shattered a poor soul's life.

On other side Neil stood like a rock his eyes filled with water shedding the tears out like a dream.

"Hmm so.. Will you take leave?".Rahul smirked.

Neil looked at Rahul and gritted his teeth. he badly wanted to wipe that bloody smirk from his face.

"I'd have punched your face long back if we weren't in hospital. Lucky you !" Neil spated furiously and wiped his tears off.

"Then do it!  You know what? Your presence will not effect anyone here except avni. You well know how much she disgusts you but still you want be here like what mahn? Let me tell you ye apologize, forgiveness.. You will never get from her coz She hates you like anything..are you hearing? she hates everything about you. So I suggest you be grounded at home for sometime! " Rahul says as he leans back on wall.

"You're so happy aren't you? " Neil says with disbelief.

"Of course I am?" he smirked.

"Then okay! Listen to me Mr. Rahul. I'll seek forgiveness from avni and she will do it and I'm sure about that!" Neil says,  his face looked so serious.

Rahul furrows his eyes.

"Is this a challenge? " he asks.

"Nope.. This is not a challenge. I'm just bringing you out from the delusional world Rahul " Neil says.

Rahul grits his teeth.

"I'm leaving as you said I don't wanna hurt avni more. So please give these medicines and fruits to her " Neil says handling bags to him.

"There's no need of all this. We can buy ourselves ". Rahul shrugs.

"You're such a spoilt brat Rahul! Neil laughs "Paise waste nhi karte phirse karidke Now take this and give it to her " he adds and turns around to go

"Neil Khanna someday your overconfidence will kill you! " Rahul yells.

Neil turns back to Rahul. He narrows his eyes at him.

"I'm not overconfident Rahul .I just have more will power to achieve things and yeah take care of avni. She is so weak " Neil smile's and turns around to go. While walking he thinks about the incident with Rahul.

"Though I acted so confident infront of Rahul , it was just a act as from inside I was hell scared about the things. I just doesn't want to give Rahul the satisfaction of winning. He fuk*ng loves when I loose things. I know I have to do alot of work to win Avni's trust again.

Suddenly I  felt so alone,  so lost...
So hollow.. So incapable of thinking.

"I know this was only the beginning, the beginning of the pain, the beginning of my sorrow that were in store for me. I don't know how I'll deal with all this in future. But I'm sure I'll win Avni's heart again. I will bring Avni's trust again on me. I'll make everything fine again. "
