Avneil entered the mansion and saw diksha walking past them

Avni:bua what happened.. she said noticing her annoyed face

Diksha : nothing baby.. just some clients were trying to be nosey she said while maddy heard that 

Avni:oh

Diksha:anyways it's good u both r back as the elders decided to get your rings selected today 

Neil:where is everyone

Diksha:they r in the garden

Neil:let's go then he said to diksha and avni and all 3 headed to the garden where the rest were

Akash:lo here comes the married couple who soon will be married again... Wasien neil I thank u for making our avni all romantic he said teasingly

Avni eyes widened with what akash said and glared at him.

Neil:man that's what u think.  I'm actually giving her classes on how to be romantic he said playing along

Avni:Neill do u even realise what u r saying she said speaking in a lower voice so that only he can hear while neil turned towards her to see her looking cute in anger

Kia:arien avni what r u whispering to Neil... speak loudly so that we can hear she said making all chuckle 

Avni looked at kia to see her winking at her

Avni in her mind:kia ki bachi I know u r taking revenge from me for all that teasing during your time 

Shweta:acha now enough of teasing my daughter.. tillu stop troubling her and now let's go for your ring selection 

Neil:mom party change

Shweta:haan any problem ...avni stuck her tongue at him

Neil:fine if that's the case then   I  have my neela ma he said walking to neela

Avni:she is not your neela ma

Neil :now she is he said placing his hand around neela shoulder while neela smiled

Bebe: bas now chalo otherwise this will continue the whole day

Avni: is everyone planning to come ?

Ashish: haan ...while  u both select your rings we will select our outfits for the engagement and other functions

Riya:and u both dont worry about your outfits that is all up to me she said

Avni:ok then let's go

At the store

Everyone had reached to the mall while avneil went for their ring selection... the rest of the family had left them alone to allow them to choose their own ring

Avni was choosing a ring for neil while he was choosing one for avni ...it had been 10 mins but both couldn't find something they like.

Avni: Neil I cant seem to choose any

Neil: same here.

The staff was watching both of them

Staff: how about u have a look at the couple selection u probably can use that for your engagement he said.

Neil:yaa please show it to us.

The staff nodded and took some rings out placing it in front of avneil.

Avneil were looking at the rings when few mins later a smile reached their face as they found what pleased them

Avneil : this one both said at the same time as their hand reached out to show the same rings

Both looked at each other when they pointed at the same rings.

Staff: arien wah u both chose the same one he said happily

Avneil looked at the staff and then at each other 

Neil: u like this one

Avni: haan and so do u

Neil:nope I dont like it...I love it he said smiling boyishly

Avni:it still means the same thing

Neil: nope its not.. like and love is too different thing

Avni: wah now u will start teaching on like and love right

Neil:not a bad idea I can do something like that plus u can be my 1st student who cant differentiate between like and love

Avni: shut up. I would rather be on strike than learning from u she said jokingly

The staff member looked at them not knowing what to do.

Neil:how mean of u mrs avni neil khanna he said dramatically

Avni: here starts the drama.. sometimes I wonder how did u become a police officer

Neil:and sometimes I wonder how r u a cafe owner as u dont speak nicely

Avni: acha if that's the case then y r u marrying me again find someone who can speak nicely.

Neil:its too late now after all my heart decided to be with u

Avni: awww your poor heart deceived u

Neil: nope it just found its heartbeat in your heart he said and this time there was no joking he meant what he said and avni sensed that

Avni: I promise to never break your heart... neil I may be weak in  this love thing and all and sometimes I wouldn't know how to react or what to do but one thing is for sure I'll always love u

Neil:I know avni I know and as they say u dont have to show someone how much u love them..as long as they feel it then its enough and I can feel your love in everything u do or say he said taking her hand and holding it.

Avni smiled and looked at neil with all the love

Staff: sir sorry but I need both of your ring finger  size so we can get it ready

Avni:how long will it take to get ready ?

Staff :in a day...we can have it delivered to u

Avni: that quick

Neil:that would be great we would like it if u have it delivered

The staff took the measure of their ring finger and neil gave the address of khanna mansion.

Avni: neil now what ?...everyone must be in different stores for their outfits

Neil: lets wait for them here I'm sure they will come soon

Avni:let's do one thing she said excitingly

Neil: and what is that...avni looked at neil with a big smile.

20 mins later the rest came to the store where avneil were done too.

Neela:u both done choosing your rings?

Neil:haan neela ma we r done.

Avni: r u all done with your shopping

Neela: yup all done.

Avni: chachu what about u ?

Ketan: yessss I'm always done First he said...ashish looked at avni when she had asked ketan first..something stirred inside him

Avni: what about u papa?

Ashish: yess neela helped me choose something he said smiling.

Avni: great but where is papa she said looking for prakash

Shweta: beta he left for office as soon as he selected an outfit 

Avni: ohhh

Bebe: is everything bought for the engagement or does anything else need to be done

Shweta:nope all is done ..

Dayawanti: where r your rings she said not seen any bag in their hand

Neil: dadi they will send the rings to the mansion as they will need to get our size

Shweta: but wont it take time

Diksha:arien no shweta ji we actually have ordered few things from here many times and they r actually quick with their service

Shweta: phir theek hai

At night after dinner shweta, bebe, avni and Kareena decided to go for a walk while maddy denied when bebe asked and shweta was happy with that too.  Prakash had decided to watch his news while neil received a call so he went away from there too....

Shweta: chalo let's us ladies go for a walk then as both father and son r busy she said while avni chukled with the way she said that

20mins later avni came into the bedroom to see neil was still  busy on the phone discussing about a case on the phone

She shook her head and went to change and after few mins came out to see Neil wasnt on the phone but was looking at some file

She went and sat next to him while neil was still busy with his file

Avni:Neill

Neil:hmmm

avni: it's late come on let's sleep

Neil:I'll sleep in a bit u go and sleep

avni:no until u dont sleep I wont

Neil: avni it will take me a while so just go and sleep

Avni:yh and I probably know how long your while is going to be she said but she got no answer from neil.

She got up and snatched the file from him

Neil: arien yaar avni what r u doing

Avni: Neill even police officers need sleep.

Neil:avni I.. but he got interrupted.

Avni: Dekho I swear if u dont sleep then dont get engaged to me but get engaged to this work of yours.

Neil: what? Where r u jumping of too all of a sudden

Avni:I'm just saying the truth

Neil got a naughty smile on his face

Neil: acha.. I never knew someone can get jealous of my work

Avni looked confusingly at neil

Avni:jealous ? Who is jealous

Neil:u he said  nearing her

Avni:oh hello I'm not jealous at all y would I be jealous

Neil: becusse I was giving my work importance and not u.

Avni: look that is no such thing it's just that it's time to sleep but u r too busy with this work of yours.. I know u r a police officer but even an officer needs rest ok

Neil:uff u will remain a tubelight here I thought maybe I will tease u and u will blush after but no

Avni:hawww how can u call me a tubelight and y should I blush??

Neil:uff how unromantic looks like I will have to give her tutions on how to be  romantic he mumbled while avni looked at him

Avni: what were u mumbling ?? Bolo?

Neil:nothing u wanted to sleep na chalo let's sleep.

Avni gave Neil his file while she moved to the bed and soon neil joined her..  avni placed her head on his chest while her hand rested on his stomach 

Neil:chalo at least she knows how to be romantic in this way he said but suddenly avni felt a slap on his stomach

Avni: I heard that neil Khanna 

Neil: that's absolutely fine mrs neil Khanna besides I seriously need to take strict action with your Violence on me

Avni: well for that I have fully rights after all the rule is different for me on that.

Neil: and who told u that

Avni:me been a police officer wife decided that.

Neil :smart

Avni: I know tell me something new she said and both chuckled.

The next two days were hectic as all were busy with engagement function preparation while neil was extremely busy with cases that he hardly got to see avni and he wanted all work to be finished before his engagement.

It was avni last day before she goes to the parikh mansion.

She had gone out with shweta for some shopping and spent some time  with her and then both came back to see neil there.

Shweta excused herself while neil walked over to avni and held her hand

Neil:avni I'm really worry these 3 days I had planned to spend my time with u but there was too much at the police station.. I wanted everything to be done before the engagement so that I can enjoy our special day.. I'm sorry that I wasnt able to give u enough time

Avni: ahhh..sometimes u talk nonsense u know... I know been a police officer u have a lot of work and duty call is anytime and I understand that and respect your work...however that still  doesnt mean u cant rest she said.

Neil: thank u for been understanding

Avni: Neill

Neil:hmm

Avni:I will have to go now

Neil: now?

Avni:haan

Neil: let me come and drop u off at least

Avni:ok but before that let me go and tell maa and bebe

Neil nodded and waited for avni while she went to tell shweta and bebe

After few mins both headed out of the khanna mansion

In the car it was silent for few mins when avni spoke

Avni: thank u she said out of the blue

Neil:for ? He said looking at her for few secs and then back on the road

Avni:just for giving me all of my happiness neil.

Neil:I didn't do anything avni..u got everything that u deserve.

Avni: u r saying that but if u see it from my point of view I give the credit to u.

Neil: then I'll say if u see from my point of view u will see what I'm saying.

Avni: dont copy my lines... btw I just hope all goes well tomorrow and hope nothing goes wrong

Neil stopped the car and turned to look at avni

Avni: what ?

Neil: what's wrong avni

Avni: matlab?

Neil: y r u sounding so doubtful ... u deserve all the happiness u got back..u r hoping that nothing goes wrong y r u feeling so negative all of a sudden.its not your words but your tone is giving it away

Avni looked at neil before she spoke

Avni:whenever something good is about to happen something bad always happens na so I tend to get negative she said and looked away while her eyes welled up slowly

Neil turned her face towards him and cupped her cheeks

Neil : then get that thought out of your head... u have had enough pain but now it's only happiness which is yours..and from now on all u deserve is happiness and I promise u that... avni moved to hug while neil rubbed her back.

Avni: I love u neil

Neil:i love u too wifey now chalo come on get back to normal otherwise my in laws will think I have made my wife cry when I'm not at fault and then it will be published in the newspaper

Avni: shut up she said moving away while wiping her tears

Neil:that's like my miss ajooba

Neil started the car and headed to the parikh mansion

After a while they reached there 

Both got out of the car and avni moved to Neil side

Avni:so then see u tomorrow

Neil: yes but I want u back with me soon

Avni:for that u will have to wait till we get married again mr khanna

Neil:not fair I should have protested against these rules when the dates were fixed making avni laugh

Avni:neill ... ok now chalo go

Neil: how about if I stay here

Avni: nope not done at all

Neil: great.

Avni: someone is in their teenager mode

Neil : u wont understand afterall u r not romantic

Avni: hawwww u just need an excuse to tease me na

Neil:nope I dont need an excuse I just love to tease u he said whispering as he slowly pulled avni close..her lips parted slowly while his eyes moved down her lips and then back to her eyes.

Suddenly the door opened startling both as nanno and neela saw them close

Neela:maa I guess we came at the wrong time we should go inside and let them continue

Avneil looked at neela and naano and then at each other and quickly moved away from each other.

Avni:no no maaa I was just coming in

Neil: and I was about to leave now.. bye neela ma bye nanno he said getting into the car and left while avni also went inside avoiding them

Neela and nanno saw neil car leave and looked at each other and both burst out laughing seen avneil state

Avni avoided neela and nanno and also cursed neil for making them land into such situation like this as neela and naano caught them close.

at dinner time avni avoided the teasing look of neela while nanno was busy scolding aman and hemant busy with his food 

Neela:bachaaa imagine if we had come few mins late she said leaning towards avni

Avni: maaa.. it's nothing like that ok u r just imagining..me and Neil were just saying bye

Neela: acha? But I didnt even mention about neil or what u both was doing she said teasingly

Avni rubbed her forehead

Avni: u and neil r the same who enjoy teasing me no wonder neil and neela r smiliar she said while neela tried to control her laughter seen how annoyed avni looked

After dinner in avni bedroom she was on the phone to neil who was getting scolded by her

Neil : but what did I do

Avni:stupid what's the need to come close to me maa and nanno have been teasing me the whole time

Neil:acha means If that was the case u could have pushed me away but no u was lost in that moment too and it's not like we kissed

Avni:dont even talk about kiss just imagine if we were in that position and they caught us

Neil:but kiss kaha hui we missed that

Avni:neilllllll

Neil: what is it a crime to ask my wifey for a kiss

Avni:- yes it is byee she said cutting the call

She sat down on the bed and looked at her phone and laughed at what Neil said shaking her head

Avni:neil khanna u r crazy but I love u she said

Neil looked at his phone when it bepped to see avni message

"Goodnight.. take some rest"

Neil smiled at her concern and replied with a heart back

Avni saw the message and smiled

At night neela was wide awake and when the clock struck 12am her eyes moved to the door...suddenly the door opened and she saw heamant nanno and aman coming in

Aman: happy birthday neela darling he said earning a slap from neela but soon hugged her

Neela: thank u bacha

Hemant:happy birthday beta

Neela:thank u she said smiling and hugged hemant

Nanno: happy birthday beta she said and neela moved to hug her while nanno kissed her on the forehead

Neela:where is avni she said looking towards the door and then at 3 of them

Aman: we tried waking up di but she wasnt waking up.

Neela:that is strange

Naano : dont worry she will wish u in the morning she must be tired due to all the work going on.

Neela: yeah after all my avni wishes r the beat she said smiling.

Aman:, after all she is my sister

Nanno: lo here he is taking the credit ab chalo lets sleep..tomorrow is the engamgent and I'm sure there will be last min things to do for everyone so chalo.

All said good night to all and left neela room

Neela was about to get on the bed...she stopped and thought to check on avni once

Neela opened the door and entered inside the room to avni sleeping while hugging her teddy...she kissed her forehead and covered her properly and left the room after a while

On the engagement day avni was getting ready and came out when neela appeared in front of her

Avni: good morning maa

Neela:morning bacha she said smiling widely

Avni: by the way maa I wont be having breakfast today as I need to leave soon

Neela:leave for where ?

Avni:to see bua and riya for last outfit check before the engagement.

Neela: acha but y rush u can have breakfast and go

Avni:no maa i actually dont have time at all chalo  see u she said taking few steps forward

Neela: avni wait she said holding her wrist

Avni: kya hai ma

Neela: Avni u remember what's today ?

Avni:haan it's my engagement maa

Neela:no its something else too

Avni:really? What is it

Neela:try to think bacha...avni tried to think but gave up

Avni:ma I dont remember acha I'm seriously busy need to get ready there is so much to do  abhi I have to go and see bua and meet riya there too chalo I'll leave now ok 

Neela looked on as avni left.

Neela: did avni just forget that it's my birthday today? Her neela ma bday....maybe she has planned a surprise... no no today is her engagement how on earth will she or anyone have the time to plan a surpise . I guess due to engagement arrangements she forgot it's ok not a big deal right 

Neela was in her room trying to relax but all she kept thinking of was that avni forgot her bday and this was something she wasnt able to digest.. she had got wished by everyone except her daughter 

It was 11am when neela received a call from daya who told her to come over for last min engagement preparation..neela left and in 20 mins she reached to the metha mansion.

As soon as she reached there she got out of the car and headed inside seen the main door slightly open....she took a step inside not paying attention to the surroundings  but few secs she stopped in her tracks hearing a voice  

Precrap: ashish: I agree avni forgived me but I feel I lost that place in her life

Ketan:bhai what r u saying it's nothing like that

Ashish: I'm saying the truth ketan...before avni would always ask me first be it anything but now its always u first ...chachu this chachu that chachu chachu..

Ketan:bhai as much as avni loves me she loves u the same amount asking me first doesnt mean she doesnt love u

Ashish: I'm not saying she doesnt love me she does but that father love has been given to u and I want that father love to be back and only u can give it me chote he said folding his hand in front of ketan .

So here it is. I know I know it's quite late i took my time ..
