Avni:Uh yh..Neil just Give me a sec I want to go to the washroom

Neil nodded and allowed her to go to the washroom as she closed the door she allowed the tears to flow which she was controlling till now..she covered her mouth and turned on the tap so that her crying couldnt be heard.

Neil's words started to play in her head which was killing her from the inside

Avno:.before I could tell u my feelings your divorce news made me realise what u want..what a fool I was to think that u would feel for me that way.. for me your happiness matters the most and if u want a divorce I'm ready she thought to herself

Few mins later
Avni splashed water on to her face and looked at herself in the mirror she tried to smile while hiding her tears and pain which was clearly seen in her eyes

Neil saw avni come out.

Avni: if u have bought the divorce paper then lets sign

Neil nodded slowly and gave avni the papers

She took it out from the envelope and saw Neil's sign was already on the paper..she took the pen and signed it while Neil looked at her

Bebe, shweta and riya wiped away their tears going away from there

As she finished signing  she looked at the divorce paper.

Avni:(in her mind) how could I forget Neil loves his first love and considers me as a friend . My stupid feelings were hoping that Neil may feel the same way but I was wrong.. maybe that's y Neil had called me to meet him so that he can get the divorce papers signed. she thought to herself

She looked at Neil and faked a smile

Avni:here u go Neil she said handing him the papers.

Neil saw their sign on the paper

Avni: I'll actually start packing my stuff then she said about to move when Neil Held her wrist

Neil:y u leaving now avni ?

Avni:we bave signed the divorce paper neil  so how can I even stay here.

Neil :the divorce hasn't been finalised till then stay here ..please he said holding her hand

Avni looked at Neil her mind was screaming to say no while her heart was saying yes ..she closed her eyes while the smile which was filled with pain stayed on her lips

Avni:ok...once the papers come I will leave she whispered...she  didnt want to agree but she couldnt deny him either

Neil:thank u he said and cupped her cheeks kissing her forehead while she closed her eyes to cherish the memory 

Avni:we need to tell the family too na Neil..somewhere hoping maybe that the family can do something so that at least she can be in this house with Neil and the family

Neil:avni .. I . I told them he said...

Avni:what?.. when? Y didnt anyone tell me as  they were behaving normally and taking care of me as if they didnt know about this she said frowning

Neil:I had told them when u was at the hospital.. and the reason y they didnt tell u was because I wanted to tell u myself.

Avni nodded slowly.

Neil: the lawyer is on the way and he will submit the documents for us

Avni: ok... can I ask u something

Neil:yes avni u can

Avni: didnt the family say anything to u as in stop u when u told them about the divorce.

Neil: they were trying to stop me but I had told them my decision

Avni nodded..suddenly neil phone rang ...he answered it and after few mins cut it

Neil: the lawyer is downstairs.... I'll give him these papers

Avni nodded...as Neil left she took a deep breath while her eyes filled up...for her it felt like she was holding her breath for too long...she slumped against the bed while her hand reached out to the bedsheet holding it tightly in her fist... tears automatically started to roll down

Avni: y is this heart paining too much?.. y ?she said pressing on her heart area to reduce the pain... few mins later she wiped her tears

Meanwhile downstairs

Neil handed the divorce paper to the lawyer

Bebe, shweta saw avni come down

Lawyer:have u both signed all the pages

Neil:yes...u can check

The lawyer nodded while avni was near the stairs seen him go through the paper

Shweta gestured riya who nodded and went to avni

Riya:avni chal come down

Avni looked at riya and nodded faking a smile

Lawyer: any alimony Mrs khanna ? he asked  looking at avni who came down 

Avni:no nothing she said looking at the lawyer and then at Neil.

Lawyer:ok then I'll get these papers submitted straight away he said

Neil nodded while the lawyer shaked his hand and left

Maddy:its strange na few days hack shweta bhabhi was was saying that avni is life of this house ..the happiness of this house.. but now avni will be leaving this house soon ...I wonder what will happen now she said taunting shweta

Bebe:maddy instead of adding salt ...u can keep your mouth shut she said glaring at maddy.

Neil:maddy bua this is avni house..even if we get divorce this house will still be hers..this family will remains hers too.

Avni looked at Neil with a smile..she was touched with what he said.

Riya:babes u ok ?

Avni:I guess so.. I'm going to go and rest she said

Neil:avni let me come and help u

Avni:no neil.. it's ok..I'm fine besides I can' depend on u for help all the time..u have your own life too ..Neil looked at avni..it felt like someone stabbed his heart again and again..he somehow controlled  himself and nodded

Shweta:avni beta she said calling out to avni who had stopped to go up but turned around when she heard shweta call her

Shweta held avni hand

Shweta:beta I know u will be leaving from here soon but till u r over here I want us to spend happy moments together . to enjoy the days with a smile

Bebe:shweta is right puttar... we want u to be happy until u r in this house.. and Neil is right too this family will always be yours...

Avni smiled and hugged bebe while her eyes welled up..she broke the hug and looked at shweta.

Avni:maa u all been with me makes me smile itself she said...

Shweta:and I'll always be your maa go and rest now hmm

Neil looked at his mum and bebe... he really didnt want to do all this but this was the best thing to do for avni

Avni nodded and left to go up slowly...she turned around slowly to see Neil walking towards the main door whose eyes were red due to tears too but only if she had seen those tears in his eyes

As she reached to the room she closed the door and sat on the bed resting her head on the pillow her eyes landed onto Neil photo frame staring at his pic... as her eyes started to get teary she placed the photo frame downwards and hid her face in the pillow

Few hours later

Avni opened her eyes when she felt a hand caress her head...she looked up to see bebe..and sat up

Avni:bebe aap

Bebe:I'm sorry I disturbed your sleep...but it's nearly dinner time so woke u up

Avni:no it's ok bebe infact I didnt even realise when I fell asleep

Bebe:puttar I'm sorry...avni frowned

Avni:sorry for what bebe

Bebe:because of me u had agreed to marry Neil and now u both r getting divorce.

Avni for a sec didnt know now to respond but she smiled at bebe after a while

Avni: it's ok bebe.. me and Neil..we both... both wanted this she said while looking at down as bebe continued looking at her

Bebe:tu kush hai na?

Avni looked at bebe she wanted to scream no

Avni:of course bebe I'm fine she said.

Bebe:Neil had called ...he said the lawyer submitted the paper

Avni heart raced but she nodded

Bebe:chal freshen up and then come down for dinner

Meanwhile downstairs Neil and Ali were talking

Ali:Neil r u sure this is the best idea.

Neil:yes ali it is.

Ali:ok then if u r happy what else can I say he said getting up and left to his room

Few mins later avni came down ..when she saw Neil sitting working on his laptop...her eyes moved around with shweta arranging the table while telling one of the servants something.

Bebe was talking to prakash about something while riya was bringing plates

Avni gazed at everyone again slowly moving her gaze back to Neil lastly.

Avni(in her mind):y am I sulking over this.. it's not like I'm leaving forever & never coming back... i can always visit everyone & neil..i have created sweet memories with him and not only him but rest of the family..until I'm here in this house I'll make sure that I create as many memories I can.. i wont have Neil but I'll have his memories for sure and I can just live with those.

As if sensing her gaze he looked up to find her starting at him.while she saw him look at her

Neil raised his eyebrow gesturing what happend while avni shook her head smiling.

She walked down the stairs while Neil watched her go where shweta was  

Few mins later all sat down for dinner.

Ali: oh no

Neil:what happened

Ali:avni bday is coming up

Avni stopped eating and looked at ali.. her bday was not really  special for her after ayesha death but for neela and the family she useto celebrate it

Neil:next week? He asked confirming

Riya:yup

Shwets:omg we need to arrange a party

Avni:maa that is not needed ..spending time with u all will be enough for me

Prakash:avni beta u r our daughter and how can we not celebrate our daughter bday

Maddy:but what's the need I mean avni herself is saying no and they will soon be divorced dont u think it will be funny as to avni and Neil submitted their dirove paper and we r organizing a bday party for her

Bebe:maddy can u ever say something good

Shweta:I really hate negativity anyways I dont care what others thinks  we r celebrating avni bday and that's final she said looking at maddy

Avni:but ma

Shweta:Ali beta tomorrow morning that's the first thing u r doing...she said stuffing a roti in avni Mouth

Ali:yes aunty he said

Neil looked at avni cute expression.

Neil:avni I hope this bday is the best bday for u he thought to himself.

Later on avni entered the bedroom  as she was with kareena for a bit.

Avni closed the door and walked to Neil who was sitting on the couch

Neil: took your medicine? be asked  looking at her...she shook her head while Neil  got up and walked to her

Avni: Neil.

Neil:yh? He said while taking  avni tablet and gave it to her.

Avni:thank u she said swallowing the tablet and took few sips of her water

Neil:for what ?he asked and gestured ber to sit down on the bed and sat next to her

Avni:despite having an amazing family u gave me another amazing family of yours...even though I knew shweta aunty from before... now the relation and feeling is totally different she said

Neil smiled and clasped her hand with his while avni looked at their hands

Neil:avni I meant it when I said this family and house is yours and it will always be

Avni:I know she said smiling while looking up at him.

Neil:chalo now sleep .

Avni:I'm actually not sleepy.. I dont know how I fell asleep before .. and now sleep is far from me

Neil:koi nabi watch a movie, talk to a friend or read something

Avni:can we go and have ice cream please Neil

Neil:avni u r not well

Avni;  I am.. because I'm recovering and besides I'll be eating ice cream from my mouth not any other places she said jokingly

Avni was happy and hugged neil

Avni:chalo let's go she holding his band and got up

Neil:yaar let me collect my stuff he said seen avni excitement of having ice cream..

He collected his wallet phone and key and left with avni while they didnt disturb the rest

Neil opened the door and  avni sit in the passenger seat while Neil went and at on the driving seat 

Neil:u love ice cream a lot na

Avni:yup...maa always makes sure that their r different types of ice crema in the freezer

Neil:crazy he said chuckling while avni smiled and looked at him taking in his happy face in her mind  to capture that moment straight away.

Soon they reached to the ice cream stall and ordered their ice cream

They went and sat down on a rock having a bite.

Neil:y do u love ice cream a lot na

Avni:hmmm I love it because its yummy  especially helps me  when I'm stressed

Neil looked at avni

Neil: what r u stressed about ? ...avni was about to take a bite when Neil said that

Avni:me... uh nothing... I just u know said it like that so that u know..

Neil:I see.

Avni nodded and started to eat her ice cream when some went on to her nose.

Neil casually looked at avni and few secs later he started laughing ...avni who was enjoying her ice cream frowned when she heard Neil laugh and looked at him

Avni:what's so funny? .

Neil:your nose he said

Avni:what about my nose?  Did it go for a walk she said frowning 

Neil:wait I'll show u he said taking a picture..and showed it to avni

Avni: urgg haan so what's so funny in that she said

Neil:u look cute he said cracking up more while avni rolled her eyes

Avni:Neil done na ...now delete the picture ok she said wiping her nose

Neil wiped the small bit left on her nose with a tissue where there was still some ice cream and squeezed her nose

Avni:Neilllll she said moving his hand away

Neil:avni u look cute in that picture so why shall I delete it.. in fact I'll send this to everyone he said

Avni:Neil u wont do anything like that I'm warning u

Neil:, acha? What will u do

Avni:u really want to see

Neil:haan he said about press the send button when suddenly he felt something cold smudge over his face

Where as avni saw Neil still selecting contacts to send thenoics to  ... she saw his finger moved to the send button her eyes landed on her ice cream and instantly she knew what to do and smudged the ice cream all over his face

It took neil few secs to realise what happened and avni used that chance and took a pic

Avn:now if  u send my pic to anyone I'll send this too Neil Khanna

Neil:avni ki bachi now u r gone he said getting up while avni started to run a little.. due to her injury she wasnt able to run that fast but there was still a distance ...she saw the beach and ran there..

Soon Neil reached near her and held her wrist

Neil:now where will u run

Avni:we r on equal score now she said trying to catch her breath

Neil:no not at all now u have to smudge ice cream over my face so u will get it back he said not letting go of her wrist

Avni:acha what will u do she asked looking at him questionably

Neil took a step closer to her and smirked while she took a step back..he took another step and as she was about to take a step backwards Neil pulled her closer while her hand rested on his shoulders and his hand landed on her back.

Neil:now since u have applied so much ice cream on me its payback time he said looking at her naughtily while avni eyes widened

Avni:Neil..look no..listens I..but before she could even continue Neil moved his face closer to her and rubbed his cheeks on to avnis while she took a deep breath ... her hands clutched his shirt on the shoulder as she felt his skin on top of her making her feel something . She then felt him move towards her other cheeks and did the same thing

Neil moved his face away while his hand still rested on her back

Neil:now we r equal he said...avni noticed the small smile on his face with the naughty glint in his eyes...she was able to feel her checks heat up and was praying that hope the ice cream was covering her cheeks

Avni:well that's because I couldn't run fast otherwise it would have been hard for u to catch me she said and moved near the shore and started to wash her cheeks with the water... Neil smiled and kneeled next to her washing his face too.

Neil: I'll buy that excuse for now

Avni:it wasnt an excuse she said splashing some water on his face

Neil:acha? Then what was it he said splashing water on her face while she closed her eyes

Avni:it was called telling the truth she said looking at Neil who stood up..she saw him extend his hand and placed her hand on top of his and got up

Neil:chalien

Avni:yup she said...both heading back up and went towards the car

Neil:delete the picture avni.

Avni:ok she said and moved the picture to some next gallery so that Neil doesnt see it on the camera gallery

Neil:did u delete it he asked... she opened the camera gallery showing nothing was there..

Avni:yup see nothing on the gallery.. u also delete the picture

Neil:will do once we reach home he said lying..while avni smiled looking out of the window .. thinking how she had to hide his pic on her phone now.

As they reached home Neil parked  the car and turned to avni finding her asleep.

He smiled seen how she was smiling and took a picture of her... after a while

Neil:avni wake up we r home .

Avni:Neil let me sleep na she said not opening her eyes 

Neil smiled... he got out of his side and went to avni side and opened the door...he undid the seat belt and carried her in his arm

he entered inside he didnt find anyone and went up...as he was walking up the stairs he stared at avni seen how cutely she was sleeping in his arm making his heart melt .. once reaching  to their room he closed the door and slowly walked to the bed placing avni carefully and covered her with a blanket.. he sat next to her and placed few strands of hair behind her ears

Neil:good night wifey he whispered.

As he turned to move away he felt avni hold his hand

Neil tried to move her hand away but she would tighten her grip again and again and as he saw her stir in her sleep he stopped... he sat on the edge of the bed  with almost enough space for him and  rested  his back against the head rest with avni hand in his... he looked at her and bent to kiss her head and sat back up properly closing his eyes and slowly drifted of to sleep

The next day as the sun hit their face Neil stirred in his sleep turning the other way still in the same position from last night while avni opened her eyes slowly... as she looked around she saw that they were in their bedroom but what surprised her was when she found Neil hand interwined with hers and not only that he was on the bed next to her... her heart started to beat fast.. on one side she felt sorry for him due to the position he was sleeping in while on the other side She was happy that he was there beside her..

She lifted her hand to caress his beard but stopped midway thinking what if he wakes up....her eyes wasnt  able to leave his face she was capturing all his features in her mind... she looked down at their hand and rubbed her thumb on the back of his palm recalling how he was doing that when they were coming back from the hospital.. and then she looked back at him ... however  when she saw Neil stir few times  she quickly closed her eyes pretending to sleep

Neil saw avni eyes closed and slowly moved her hand away and took his clothes heading to the washroom

Avni  opened her eyes as she heard the washroom door close

Avni:avni u r crazy what if u got caught she said slapping the back of her head...

her eyes moved to the area Neil wassleeping on the bed and caressed it while smiling.

Avni:I'm collecting as many memories I could Neil.. she said smiling slowly unaware what has been planned for her . 

After breakfast avni had decided to visit the metha mansion with bebe while Neil had gone to the police  station

Around 11am

Bebe:shweta we r leaving 

Shweta:ok bebe

Avni: maa isnt  coming ?

Shweta: actually avni I'm going to meet one of my friend so that's y I wont be able to come

Avni nodded and she left with bebe

30 mins later or so avni reached to the metha mansion with Bebe... as they came in dayawanti  welcomed them

Avni:dadi didnt maa come

Dayawanti :no beta she had some NGO work so she couldnt come  and looked at bebe.

Avni:papa?

Dayawanti:he has gone to the office with ketan but hetal is in in the kitchen

Avni:ok I'll go and see her she said

While bebe and dayawanti went in the garden to speak

Avni:hey chachi

Hetal turned around to see avni.

Hetal:arien avni beta when did u come

Avni:few mins back chachi..

Hetal:riya came too she asked

Avni:nope she had work...by the way what r u making

Avni:oh come on chachi poha is poha and I can eat poha made by anyone she said while hetal slapped her checks lovingly

Meanwhile at the police station Neil was busy with a case file when dd came

Dd nodded and went to call them...

Neil saw them come in and told dd to make sure nobody disturbs them

Meanwhile back at the metha mansion

Avni was in her room lost in thoughts ...her mind would keep going back to hers and Neil's moment..she recalled the time when he had told her about juhi in his bhang state....then how she started feel something for him but never understood and now when she knows she is in love with him she cant be with him as soon they would be parting ways..

Her thoughts got disturbed when she was called down for lunch

Days like this started to pass while avni would find ways to make memories and enjoy her time with neil and family.

Now Neil made it a point to take avni for ice crean every night which her made feel special...sometimes they would sit in silence and sometimes they would pull each others leg

Few times avni had slept in the car which made Neil carry her but he never complained as he enjoyed and those were the nights when he would sleep in a sitting position next to avni as she would end up holding his hand in her sleep as if she was able to sense him go

Ali had also found a venue for avni bday which was going to be done by the event management

A week had passed like this...avni was giving prakash his coffee when a courier boy came for Neil

Neil who was at home received it and opened it

Neil:DIVOFCE PAPERS HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED

Avni who was heading back to the kitchen stopped hearing Neil say that ...tears started to form in her eyes

She recalled what she had told Neil

Shweta, bebe, aliya and prakash looked at avni and then at Neil while maddy was thinking what will happen now.

Avni controlled her tears and turned aroun facing all...she looked at neil whi also was looking at her and smiled

Avni: I'll get my stuff packed now she said heading up

Shweta:avni beta stay for few more days na... it doesnt mean because the divorce papers r accepted u cant stay here...this house is yours too

Avni:I know maa but I stayed her enough I had told Neil that I will stay here till the divorce papers r accepted and now that's done it's best to leave she said heading up

Maddy:finally riya now u dont have to worry about avni anymore she said walking to riya and spoke in a low voice

Riya closed her eyes trying to control her anger

Riya:maddy bua I know my sister well and please can u stop saying stuff like this otherwise I will have to tell everyone she said moving and stood next to Ali while maddy shook her head

Avni entered the room and looked at Every corner with love..  she gulped and moved to take her suitcase and placed it on the bed and then headed to the wardrobe taking her clothes out and placed then in the suit case..

She walked back to the wardrobe to collect last few sarees and turned around when she saw Neil walk in...she forced a smile and then continued walking towards the bed and placed  the remaining clothes..

Neil watched her collect all her items from the dressing table and placing it in the suit case 

He looked at the wardrobe of her side to see it empty and then at the the dressing table which had only his stuff now

Neil:avni... I didnt know that it would come so soon

Avni:its ok Neil we knew it was coming and I was prepared anyway she said smiling as she closed the suitcase

Avni was about to grab it when Neil got a hold of her suitcase...

He walked ahead while she followed behind as she left the room she turned around looking at the room one last time and followed neil...

All were waiting downstairs and as they saw Neil and avni coming down they got up

Bebe:puttar stay back na for a bit

Avni: no bebe like I said I have stayed enough and now I have to go

All looked at her sadly

Avni:u all r acting like u wont see me ever again... i dont live that far she said trying to make them smile and it worked but there was sadness in their eyes too

Avni hugged each one of them... she moved to maddy and folded her hands while maddy did the same thing

Aliya went and hugged avni again

Avno:I will see u at the cafe the next day

Avni smiled and nodded.. she looked at all and smiled while they waved at her and walked out of the Khanna mansion

In the car avneil were silent...none spoke a word...they were not able to. .

Unforutuently there was less traffic so they reached to parikh  mansion in 20 mins

Neil took out the suit case for avni  and both headed in

Heamant, nanno and neela who were sitting in the hall saw avneil and got up

Avni:divorce has been accepted so I came back now

Avni took the luggage of Neil while he looked at her

Avni:I'll manage from here Neil.

Neil nodded and gave a side hug to avni when she moved close to him while she closed her eyes taking as much as she could and then let go and headed to her room

Neela looked at Neil all this while

Neela:Neil u can stay

Neil:no neela maa have some work will leave..neela nodded ...Neil folded his hands and left

Heamant walked in after few mins to see avni sitting onto the bed with her suitcase open.

Heamant:bachien ...what happened

Avni who was lost in her own world came back to reality

Avni:um nothing nanu just tired she said while heamant was able to tell the difference yet he didnt force her

Heamant:bachien shall I tell u something

Avni:kya nanu

Heamant:u know sometimes things happen for a reason in our life..be it good or bad...we wonder how it happened and what made it happend..but it always teaches us..whatever happened u should take it happily because it just makes u stronger and also helps u move on with those lovely moments... sometimes bad things happens only so that good things can happen too... u have all of us too

Avni hugged heamant and looked ahead while he caressed her head smiling.

Meanwhile at the Khanna mansion it had been 2 hours since avni had left and yet all found it odd  without her.

Neil walked in and all looked at him

Bebe:u dropped her off

Neil:haan bebe he Said and went to his room

Neil  walked to his room and entered inside to see it empty

Neil:this room feels so incomplete without u avni.. it literally does. He said sitting on the bed 

Avni looked at the mangalsutra which was in her hand..  with a lot of difficulty she took it of..while looking at it a tear dropped onto the mangalsutra

Later on at night avni came out to have dinner  and saw the metha family there too

Ashish moved to hug her

Ashsih:u ok ?

Avni:yh y ?

Ashish:just asking he said tapping her forehead while she smiled

Aman:so what's the plan for di bday as its the day after tommrow

Neela:Ali said they have organised a party at a venue so we all going there

Avni(in her mind) and here I got my early bday gift in the name of divorce.

Dayawanti:avni riya has chosen an outfit for u so go to her office tomorrow and try the outfit ok

Avni:haan bebe she said and then stopped looking up to see everyone staring at her

Dayawanti:bebe? Looks like harleen has stole my granddaughter from me she said smiling

Avni:dadi its...its nothing like that I just said it out of habit

Avni:haan ...I'm done with my food.. need to take my medicine too she said and excused herself

As she reached to her room she sat down she was missing Khanna family and neil... she facepalmed herself and smiled recalling how she called daya bebe

Suddenly her phone beeped  and when she looked at it her eyes lit up seen Neil name on her screen

She quickly open the message and read it which was
"Make sure u take your medicine on time.. I know u r lazy enough not to take it"

The smile on avnis face widened as she read the message

Neil looked at his phone beep and saw the message say
"How can I argue with u.... I took the medince few mins ago...goodnight neil

Neil replied a good night back and laid on the couch

Avni smiled closing her phone and laid on the couch as at the Khanna mansion Neil slept on the couch and right now she wanted to sleep on the couch

Both were happy to receive each other message 

The next morning ....avni was ready and went to meet riya at her office

Riya saw avni and hugged her

Avni:when did u design the outfit I didnt even know about it

Riya:well that's y I didnt tell u.. I wanted u to know a day before your bday that's y ...now come on try this outfit on

Avni:gosh I hate u she said taking the outfit and tried it on

As she came out riya was looking at her with her mouth wide open

Riya made sure that it fits avni properly where it was wasnt to loose or tight ...once making sure avni went and changed

After leaving riya office avni went to the cafe and saw Ali

Ali:arien avni u should have been here few mins ago

Avni:y?

Ali:Neil was here few mins ago u would have been able to see him

Avni:Neil was here?

Ali:haan he left few mins back as he was in a rush

Avni nodded .... her face dropped thinking Neil didnt even wait for a min  but then she thought maybe because he was in a rush As Ali said

Ali:anyways u tried the outfit

Avni:yh I did ..

Ali:ok now will u be ok here alone as I need to go and get few items and also there r some deliveries

Avni:dw ...suyash is here if I need anything I'll ask him

Ali:ok.. it will take a while but I'll try and be back soon

Avni nodded while Ali left

She got herself busy with her own work at the cafe that for sometimes Neil was out of her mind

It was around 5pm when Ali came back

Ali:avni  sorry yaar too much traffic and so he said coming with few bags

Avni:its ok Ali chill

Ali:acha do one thing u go home now u stayed here for enough ok

Avni agreed and headed to collect her bag and then headed to the car...she took out her tablets and took it with water while leaving in the car

As she reached home it was 6pm and she saw madhavi getting things ready for dinner

She headed to her room and checked her phone on the way and was surprised to see no messages from Neil

She frowned and messaged him a hi

Avni decided to freshen up ...20 mins later  she came out she saw there was still no message from Neil

Avni:I guess he is busy...he will probably call once he is free

She headed out to have dinner with the family while they were talking about party and all her eyes would do was  keep going back to her phone but there was nothing

Avni and aman later went on a walk with heamant  and came back after 15 mins

All had retired to their room... avni was brushing her hair when neela came to give her milk and told her to have medince

Avni nodded and neela left

She drank half of the glass of milk with her medicine...
And grabbed her phone

Avni: you have literally lost it stop thinking about him avni he must be busy with work

She laid on her bed and closed her eyes ...falling asleep.

The clock struck 12am

Neela , aman, heamant and nanno sneaked in to avni room while aman did a video call with ashish so that they can wish avni too while neela had called at the Khanna mansion

As they went near the bed aman turned on the lights while everyone at the Khanna and metha mansion can see everything

Neela gave nanno the phone to hold while she went near avni and sat next to her

Neela:avni...avni wake up she said shaking her

Avni opened her eye slowly to see neela

Avni:maa what hap. But she couldn't complete

Everyone: happy birthday avni they  all shouted

Avni saw the rest and a small smile came on her face

Avni: thank u she said looking at all seen how the Khanna family and metha family were on video call while her eyes searched for that one person but he wasnt there

Diksha:avni tommrow u r coming over to the salon as u need to look amazing for the bday party

Avni:bua is it needed

Diksha:of course it is

Shweta:dont worry diksha I'll make sure avni comes there..I'll go and pick her up myself she said speaking a little loudly so diksha can hear

Diksha:thanks shweta 

Avni:what did I get into she mumbled..neela heard her and laughed giving her a side hug.

Avni again looked on the phone where the Khanna family were talking but she couldnt see Neil at all.

Bebe:Chalo sleep now we will see u tommrow

Avni nodded and all said bye to each other

Neela ,heamant, aman and nanno left after wishing her happy bday again..

Avni picked up her phone to see no messages on her phone

Avni: Neil seems a lot busy now she said annoyingly as she wanted him to wish her but he just disappeared with no text or call

It was literally hard for her to sleep again.. everytime she closed her eyes she would open them to see if Neil texted  but there was nothing

She placed her phone down and hid her face in the pillow and tried to sleep

After 2o mins or so she  slowly drifted to sleep

In the morning around 8am avni got ready as shweta had called to tell her that she is coming to pick her up

Avni looked at her phone but there was still no messages from Neil

Avni:enough avni... if he has time he will message.. stop thinking about it too much and enjoy it for those who wished u she said to herself

She took her phone and headed down wearing casual clothes to see shweta had already come

Avni hugged her while shweta was happy to see her face to face it had been long yet it felt like they hadnt seen each other for years

Shweta wiped her tears quickly

Shweta:chalo chalo let's go she said

They said bye to all and left

In the car avni wanted to ask shweta about Neil but she somehow stopped herself

As avni entered the salon 40 mins later she smiled as the staff wished her

Diksha:shweta chal u also get yourself pampered too

Shweta:Arien nahi nahi diksha i just came to bring avni she said

Avni:u bought me na then also get yourself treated too

Before shweta can protest avni pushed her towards a staff who took her while avni moved to diksha giving her a tight hug

Avni:I love u bua

Diksha:love u too but how comes "i love u" all of a sudden

Avni:because of the things u do for everyone... she said smiling while diksha slapped her cheeks slightly

Time started to go quickly avni was given a full on pamper session

It was around 4pm when she had reached to the parikh  mansion and there she found riya with her outfit

Avni smiled seen her while riya  took her to the room

Riya:Chalo bday girl get ready and then I'll do your make up and all

Avni nodded and went to change..after she came out wearing her outfit...

Riya did avni hair in a bun and left few strands on both the sides with light makeup just the way avni likes it

She made her wear earrings which were standing out while her neck had her simple locket which was  neela and ayesha pic

Riya took a picture and smiled

Once avni was ready

Ali came to take her

Avni:wait y am I going early isnt the rest coming?

Ali:they will.. they r still getting ready..till then at least us both can reach there too as Kia and akash r back and they r there too

Avni for some reason wasnt convinced but agreed to go with aii

They soon left to go to the venue

An hour later they finally reached there ..

Ali:avni u go in I'll park the car

Avni:ok

Avni got out of the car and headed inside to see it was completely dark 

Avni:Kia?....akash? Where r u both she called out

But there was no reply

Avni: gosh where r  these two..let me call Ali she said turning around and was about to dial Ali number when suddenly the spotlight fell on her

Avni stopped and turned around

Avni:Kia?..akash is that u

Few mins later

Voice: I met a girl..in lur first meeting ourntshan had started....when we met our meeting was never normal as we would find ways to say things to each other ...yet I loved seen that irritating look on her face...we never had a normal convo if we did then one of us would end up giving a sarcastic reply... my motive had become to make her say sorry and thank u whenever we would meet...but then there came a time where she actually said thank u and that was for saving her

Avni frowned  listening to all this..she was getting flashes of her and Neil... and the voice... she knew who it belonged to

Voice: we actually became friends..slowly started to enjoy each others company..then we got to know our family have fixed our marriage and we had no choice but to agree..we even had started to share our deepest pain with each other...slowly slowly she started to become important for me .. I didnt know how but I couldnt imagine a day without her and I realised that when we had gone to Goa...but then i was shown the reality which was our plan to separate ...for her I had agreed  thinking she wants this too and we pretended to argue in front of our families...but as time went by my feelings for her was increasing and that's when I realised it was love  ...but life was cruel and when I had planned to confess my feelings she met with an accident...

Avni heart was beating fast hearing this... she saw Neil walk down and stand right in front of her..she knew it was him when he started to speak

Neil: happy birthday to the most purest soul  I fell in love with     happy birthday to the beautiful  girl who I planned to spend the rest of my life with..happy birthday to the girl who I wanted to confess to but couldn't...happy bday MRS AVNI NEIL KHANNA he said cupping her face  while rose petal started to fall on avni from above

While avni went blank

Neil:wifey he said smiling

Avni wasnt able to believe this she took a step backwards

Avni:gosh y have u occupied my mind so much that I'm imagining u Neil... this isnt a reality but my imagination she said and turned to leave
