Neil: Avni look at me... this is your life...we did all this so that u and your dad come close...I know it won't be easy but don't think About the negative things if a negative thought comes into your mind then think about the good times u spent with your dad...it won't be easy but it won't be hard too.

Avni looked at Neil who was wiping her tears away.

Neil: come on now smile after all u will be getting married to the great neil khanna soon. He said to make Avni feel better and in return he got a small smile from her

Avni moved up and hugged Neil with her hands around his shoulder...Neil was surprised first but he smiled and hugged her back

Neil: as a friend I will always be with u

Avni: I know she said smiling.

It had been 30mins  both were laying on the floor Neil had his hands behind his head while avni hands rested on her stomach both looking at the sky

Avni: Neil

Neil: hmm

Avni: if u was in my place then what would u do?

Neil: to be honest I don't know what I would do as I would never be able to understand the pain u have been through but one thing is for sure

Avni: Kya she asked  turning her face too look at him

Neil: that I would think of giving a second chance and start fresh . Shall I be honest don't think about this for now because the more u will think about this the more confused u will  get...when u feel better then think with a calm mind and u will know what to do

Avni sat up resting against the railing while Neil looked at her

Avni: tomorrow is haldi she said changing the topic

Neil: I know then it's the wedding

Avni: we have to go according to our plan .

Neil: exactly but we won't start our plan straight away we will give it few days or let's say about a week then start

Avni: Neil I....she was going to tell him about dayawanti been in "debt" but stopped remembering she promised dayawanti she won't tell anyone

Neil: what happened y did u stop speaking he said turning sideways resting on his elbow

Avni: no nothing I was going to say u r right about starting the plan after few days....Neil felt as if Avni was going to say something else but ignored the fact thinking he is over thinking.

Neil: *ahem* so Avni how does it feel that u will soon be temporary wife of the great Neil khanna.

Avni raised her eyebrows

Avni: yaar I seriously don't understand u ...no matter what the situation is u somehow manage to self praise yourself

Neil: and instead of answering me u add another question

Avni: Acha?...fine I will ask sahil (choreographer) she said smiling a little...while Neil who was resting on his elbow sat straight

Neil: where does sahil come into this...he found sahil  creepy after the way he was flirting with him and Ali

Avni: arien u asked me how does it feel that I will be your temporary wife soon..and I'm sure sahil would love to praise u she said teasingly.

Neil: that is not funny

Avni: haan so when Did I say it was
funny.

Neil: avniii

Avni: I know my name is Avni u don't have to remind me...

Neil moved and sat next to Avni and rested his back Against the railing....both sat there in silence

Avni: so ?

Neil: what so?

Avni : how was work

Neil: just usual...managed to close one case today.

Avni nodded

Neil: by the way already started practicing haan he said teasingly

Avni: about what?

Neil: where wife questions husband how work goes

Avni: neilll ....it was Avni turn to glare at him

Neil: i know my name is Neil u don't have to remind me he said copying the way Avni spoke few mins back. 

Avni: shut up.

Neil: how dare u tell a police officers to shut up he said pretending to be serious while avni rolled her eyes.

Avni: for now u r not on duty and besides even if u was on duty I would still tell u to shut up after all u r my friend...Neil smiled when Avni said that but he decided to tease her

Neil: awwww

Avni: what is  so awwww in that

Neil: I felt like saying awwww so I said it.

Avni: u have lost it. She said shaking her head .

Neil: its quiet late shall we go back to the terrace

Avni: yeh..as ali and Riya won't realise the time when they r in each other's company.

Neil and Avni got up..Avni slowly opened the door and checked if anyone was around but when she didn't see anyone she signalled Neil and both came out of her room.

Both were about to walk towards the stairs when suddenly Avni saw nanno who was coming out from the kitchen as she had gone to fill up water  ....but at the right time Avni and Neil hid behind the pillar unaware how close they were..they were too busy to see if nanno has gone...once she disappeared out of their sight both breathed a sigh of relief and looked at each other to notice the proximity between them ...Neil back was against the pillar with his hands on her arm while avni was standing close to him with one of her hand resting on his chest...both had a small eye lock. But when Neil phone vibrated both broke the eye lock and acted as if nothing happened

Avni: nanno has gone let's go.... Neil nodded and took out his phone to see it was Dd message

Avni and Neil reached to the terrace and hearing the door open Ali and Riya got scared but they relaxed when they saw it was avneil

Neil: ali its time to go.

Ali: what? But we just came here about 5 mins ago.

Avni : no u didn't come here 5 mins ago it's been more than 30 mins or let's say u have been here for an hour or so.

Ali: guys few more mins

Avni: no u both wanted to meet and we agreed to allow u to Meet now get going as when we were coming up nanno had woken up...so before anyone wakes up or we get caught get  going now...otherwise there will be a huge lecture on about y we were told not to meet before the wedding

Ali: tu dost hain ya Dushman.

Avni: I'm both now get going

Riya: Avni is right ali. She said with a sad face

Ali: ok then ...so see u on wedding day soon to be Mrs Ali he said hugging Riya

Avneil smiled seen how Aliya love each other

Somehow Riya and Avni made ali and Neil leave from the main door and gave a hug to the girls...once the boys had gone Riya hugged Avni

Riya: thanks babe if u hadn't agreed then I wouldn't have got to meet Ali

Avni: can u do something for me

Riya: Kya?

Avni: can we please go and sleep as im hell tired.

Meanwhile Neil was driving back home while ali had gone on his bike

Neil was recalling Whatever happened at the parikh mansion ...a smile adorned his face when Avni had hugged him in her room...and also how she had hugged him back when he gave her a side hug before leaving and then he went back to how they would start their nok jhok.

He suddenly stopped the car

Neil to himself: what r u doing Neil?... y r u getting happy remembering whatever Happened at the parikh house?....Avni is a friend Neil just a friend and u only care for her as a friend that's it... He said Closing his eyes.

The next day Neil was getting ready as Shweta and Bebe had warned him that today is haldi function so he has to forget his cases.

He came down all ready  and Bebe took him to the garden area where the haldi function was going to be held and was made to sit down next to Ali as Bebe and Shweta decided his haldi will also be done at the khanna mansion....Bebe started to apply the haldi first followed by Shweta, Maddy, Kareena and other people while they moved to Ali next applying it on him

Meanwhile the same thing was going on at the metha mansion...for Riya all this was fun but Avni took it just a normal function as for her and Neil they were getting married for family sake plus they were going to end the marriage after sometime.

However a smile adorned her face seen how happy her family looked as they applied haldi on her and Riya...ketan and Ashish were standing near the stairs watching their daughters getting haldi applied

Ashish: ketan

Ketan: haan bhai

Ashish: thank u....been the youngest brother u took care of the family and business while I was all the way in abroad...mostly u gave Aman and Avni a fathers love especially Avni when I disowned her

Ketan: bhai  y r u remembering the past...forget it and think how to improve your relation with Avni....she has asked for time means there is hope of her forgiving u...hope for us to get that old Avni back one day

Ashish smiled and hugged ketan. And both continued looking at their daughters who were fully covered in haldi

Riya told Hetal to take few picture of her and Avni...once Hetal took the pictures Riya told Aman to take her phone and send the pics to the group chat which ali had created while avni shook her head at Riya

Avni: here let me also apply some haldi to u ...I won't get this chance again she said smudging Riya face

Riya: avniiii nooo

Avni laughed seen how Riya was glaring at her

Avni : what no I won't get a chance like this ever again.

Riya: if that's so then I have the right to apply haldi on u too she said dipping her hands in the bowl while avni got up running away and Riya ran after her

All the ladies were confused as to what happened but soon laughed seen how Riya was chasing Avni

Aman who still had Riya phone took a video and after sent it on the group chat.

Ali who was enjoying getting haldi applied heard his phone beep few times which was on the side next to him

Ali: Neil my phone

Neil: y u want haldi applied on your
Phone too he said showing his hands which had some haldi on it

Ali: sorry in excitement I forgot it's yours haldi function too.

Neil laughed seen how ali was excited

Ali: Dd ....Dd came excusing himself from Bebe

Dd: ji noodle bhaiya..Ali controlled his annoyance when Dd called him that

Ali: do one thing check who messaged me

Dd: noodle bhaiya how can I check that ...it's your phone

Ali: what noodle bhaiya I have such a lovely name called Ali... y can't u call me that

Dd: sorry noodle bhaiya it's become a habit calling u like this ...but dw I will try my best to call u Ali ok noodle bhaiya...he said cheekily while ali rolled his eyes

Ali: whatever check and see who messaged me since I'm fully covered in Haldi

Dd: but how...ali intterupted him

Ali: I swear to god if u don't check then this whole bowl of haldi will be on u

Dd: no no wait I'm checking

Neil was enjoying watching the usual Ali and Dd fiasco

Dd: it's a group chat message...Riya ji sent some images and a video

Ali: open it

Dd nodded and first showed the pics keeping the phone in front of Ali and Neil and then he played the video. Where Riya was chasing Avni and they could hear the rest laughing in the background

Ali: yaar no matter what it's tough to catch Avni...he said laughing and looked at Neil who was smiling

Neil: who can know that better than me he said smiling as he recalled the holi incident where he was running after Avni to apply colour on her . While Ali smiled slightly seen the smile on Neil face
