Neil:  I want to promise u few things

Avni: what Neil?

Neil took avni hand and clasped it with his .

Neil: I promise to always support u... I promise to be there with u and promise that we will share all our happiness and sorrows with each other ...I promise not to force u for anything and will respect all your decisions and love your family just like mine

Avni : neil u didnt have to say all this to me as I trust u completely and also know u r someone who many people  would want their life partner to be like

Neil: I know avni but I just wanted to let it out and tell u... anyways I got something for u

Avni: and what is that ?

Neil:close your eyes and u will know in a bit.

Avni nodded and closed her eyes while a smile played on her lips

Neil went behind avni moving her hair to one side while avni felt ticklish when she felt Neil's finger brush on the back of her neck...

Few secs later avni felt something cold around her neck and moved her fingers to feel a love heart shapenpendant she opened her eyes to look at it while neil was done and moved his face to look at her reaction to see her looking at the pendant with a smile making her face glow even more due to the moonlight

Neil: how is it

Avni : its beautiful

Neil: that I know as your face said it all

Avni looked at neil

Avni: then y did u ask despite knowing the answer

Neil: that's because I also wanted to hear u say it to he said leaning his face closer to her making avni lips part slightly

avni slowly opened the pendant and found her pic on one side while his pic was on the other side

Avni: this is seriously special neil thank u said moving forward to hug him

Neil smiled and hugged her and as they were about to move away avni pendant got stuck onto neil button

Neil:Looks like even your pendant and my button doesnt want us to move away

Avni:really ? Did the pendant  and button come and tell u.

Neil:its the connection of hearts he said winking

Avni shook her head and started to untangle her pendant from the button.

Neil was watching avni with a smile...he saw how her hair was blowing slightly blocking his view from seen her face...his hand then lifted up and moved towards her hair moving it back and tucked it behind her ears

Avni who was busy with trying to free the pendant from the button looked up when she felt neil tucking her hair behind her ear...seen the way Neil was looking at her made her cheeks red..she doesnt know what it was but she wasnt able to look away from him and the same case was for him

Neil slowly leaned forward and felt avnis shallow breathing...he cupped both of her cheeks while his thumb caressed the corner of her lips making avni close her eyes for a sec and then open it...as neil lips was about to touch avnis she got up feeling shy..this wasnt the first time neil was going to kiss her as he had stolen her first kiss before

Neil got up and hugged her from the back inhaling her hair while avni closed her eyes while a smile played on her face.

Suddenly both of their moment got broken when avni phone rang

Avni opened her eyes and moved away from neil while Neil was annoyed that his moment got disturbed

Avni answered it to see sunheri calling and answered it

Avni: hi sunheri is everything ok at sukhoon ghar she asked

Sunheri: avni these two Tom and Jerry r fighting again and none r listening please come and help na she said

Avni: ok dw I'll be there soon she said

As she ended the call she turned to Neil with a guilty look

Neil: got to go?

Avni: haan woh tom and Jerry I mean shyla and sameer r fighting again and sometimes it gets hard to stop them

Neil:no worries let's go he said

Avni took a step closer to Neil

Avni:I'm sorry...if I hadnt received a call then we could have stayed back a little more

Neil: avni it's ok...if we r spending time together doesnt meant every min or sec has to be spent...come let's go and solve your tom and Jerry case...avni nodded and both headed back to the car

It didnt take avneil long to reach to the orphanage

20 mins later avneil entered inside to see shyla and sameer sitting in separate directions

One of the kids spoke

Kid:he is a police man....sunheri was di telling us last time but y is he with our jaan di ..

Other kid:maybe to take shyla didi and sameer bhaiya away as they keep fighting

Another kid: stupid they r going to get married soon

Avneil smiled and looked at each other

Sameer: y arrest me I havent dont anything it's this shyla who always fight

Shyla: stupid it's always u who starts it off and then blames it on me jaan di tell this police uncle to take  him she said

Shyka and sameer stood up and started their usual bickering

Avni: QUIET she said loudly making both of them stop

Avni:if any of u say a word then I will surely send u with neil.

Shyla: sorry jaan di

Sameer: sorry jaan di

Avni:y do u both keep arguing... if u both argue then nobody would want u as part of their happy family

Sameer: we dont want a happy family we r happy here he said

Avni was about to reply back when neil stopped her

Neil: sameer shyla come let's go for a walk

Shyla:y?? Do u plan to take us away

Neil:no I am just taking u two on a walk and then we will be back soon..come he said

Avni looked at neil as he assured her...she nodded and told shyla and sameer to go while They had no choice.

Sunheri: sorry avni juhi had gone to see a family who wanted to adopt a kid from here so I couldn't call her that is y I called u

Avni:its ok sunheri I just hope these two stop fighting

Meanwhile sameer and shyla were walking with Neil for the past 5 mins

Neil: let's sit down here he said on a bench

Shyla and sameer looked at each other and sat down while neil sat on the small rock facing them

Shyla: y r u always with jaan di she blurted out and bit her tounge while neil smiled

Neil:because I'm engaged to your jaan di and soon will marry her

Sameer: haan sunheri di told us

Shyla : when?

Sameer: when u was playing your girls game and hardly listened and seems like u didnt hear today when other kids were talking about them he said.

neil: ok first tell me why do u both keep fighting

sameer: I don't want to fight but she always keeps fighting.

Shyla: that is because u always annoy me when I'm doing my stuff and because of u I also get scolded

Sameer:because u deserve it

Neil looked at them too

Neil:do u know how much your jaan di worries? Not only your jaan di but also juhi di...tara, sitara and sunheri di...u all are at sukhoon ghar where they r looking after u and hoping that u go into a good family...but how would u feel and how would they feel when those parents and other people would come and say that the kids at sukhoon ghar r rude and they haven't taught u manners

Shyla : but they have taught us manners

Neil: that u all know but how would u explain it to others ? They will say bad stuff about sukhoon ghar

Sameer and shyla went into thinking mode

Neil:- let me tell u another example..I'm not scaring u as u both r older than other  kids and would understand ...in another city there was an orphanage but it got closed down due to staff not looking after kids properly and got blamed for several things where all the kids were separated and got to be put into different orphanages....would u want your sukhoon ghar to be closed down ? Do u want to go away from everyone else where u can never see them again? no na

Sameer and shyla shook their head

Neil: u all r lucky that u got such loving people around u...when people would come to adopt kids they will praise sukhoon ghar and how well it has been looked after and how well the kids r disciplined...if u both keep fighting then it would raise fingers on everyone around u including u...your jaan di and the rest r working hard so that all your kids future is bright and u get the best family..do u want all of that to go to waste

Sameer: no neil bhaiya we dont want that...sukhoon ghar and the people over there is our family and we wouldnt want people to say bad things about it...I promise not to fight anymore sorry shyla

Shyla:I'm sorry too...and i wont argue with u too and wont give anyone any complaints and behave well

Neil: that is the spirit he said and gave both of them hi five

10 mins later avni was walking back and forth when the door bell rang

As she moved to open it she was surprised to see sameer and shyla laughing while talking to each other

They both said sorry to her and headed to their room

Avni frowned and got confused

Avni: how did this happen she said pointing to them

Nejl: Neil Khanna charm he said smirking

Avni rolled her eyes

Avni: tell me na she said getting curious

Neil chuckled and then told her everything

Avni:here I tried making them understand everytime but they never listened and u tell them at once and they agreed and r acting like best of friends

Neil: I told u na it's a way of saying he said

Avni: whatever...ab  its actually late u go home

Neil: am I not dropping u

Avni:nope juhi is coming back with some documents so will discuss that and then head home with her

Neil:ok then...at least come till the car he said making avni chukle

Avni chukled and nodded...as they reached near the car neil stood with his back facing  the car door...he took avni hands in his and pulled her closer makig her hand land on his chest while his went around her waist

Avni: neil what r u doing...leave me otherwise someone will come she said looking here and there

Neil: haan toh let them it's not like I'm doing any crime

Avni: neilll she said glaring at him

Neil: so when am I next seen u he asked as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ears

Avni: whenever u want she said smiling

Neil caressed her cheeks.

Neil:tomorrow evening?

Avni:only if u r free and dont have any case

Neil:I'll let u know early ...if I'm free we will go for dinner

Avni:ok she said smiling

Neil:good night

Avni: good night she said and closed her eyes as he placed a kiss on her forehead

After few secs avni waved at neil as he left and then headed back inside

As she was making some coffee for herself she turned around hearing juhi speak

Juhi: make two she said

Avni: ok she said and got another cup while juhi went into the study room

5 mins later avni came there and handed her cup and sat next to her

Avni:how did it go?

Juhi: yaar tooo much ...but they seem good as the way they were asking everything regarding the adoption to how the kid is that they plan to adopt...here is their paper work she said handing it to avni and both started to talk about  it

After 2 hours both left sukhoon ghar and avni had called neela telling her she is on the way back home.

The next afternoon

Avni was with the kids when her phone rang to see neil calling

Avni: hey

Neil: hey he said mimicking her making both chukle

Avni: I thought I wont expect any call from u

Neil: y ?

Avni: no message or call since morning so thought u might be busy with a case is liyen disturb nahi kiya

Neil:how sweet but yes I was busy with a case and a complaint but I called to tell u that our plan is still on

Avni: r u sure ? I mean wont u be needed there ?

Neil: nope I told them if it's anything urgent then they need to let me know

Avni:- that is fine then

Neil: ok I need to go now but I'll come and pick u up at 6pm

Avni: ok that is fine

Neil: bye love u

Avni didnt know what to say as she clearly was still confused with her feelings

Avnj: bye she said smiling and ended the call while neil looks at his phone and smiled

In the evening avni was all ready and waited for neil who arrived at 5:55pm

He took blessings of all and then left with avni

Avneil reached to the restaurant in 20 mins and sat down..they ordered their food and was talking casually while avni was telling about her day at the orphanage and how shyla and sameer were getting along whereas  neil told about his case that he was working on

Soon their food arrived and both started eating... as they were nearly done with their food the restaurant manager came up

Manager: attention attention so as u know due to the t success  of our restaurant we have actually decided to add a special thing which is a dance floor Where family and friends, lovers, couples can enjoy so those who ever comes on the dance floor today get a drink for free

All cheered

Neil: avni let's go on then dance floor

Avni:tsk tsk tsk Neil just for a free drink u want to go on a dance floor very bad she said   teasingly

Neil smirked and leaned forward

Neil: my excuse is to have u close to me and dance he said

Before they could continue they heard few sounds  coming from outside...at first they thought it was normal but when they saw people nearing the Window they both felt something is happening which grabbed many people attention inside the restaurant

Neil: what is happening ?

Avni: dont know she said...avni turned their attention back to each other

as the restaurant door opened Avneil turned to hear a girl shouting loudly saying "leave me" before the door closed again

Avneil looked at each other both went near the window and tried to squeeze through

As they looked from the window they saw a group of guys cornering a girl who wanted nothing but to be left alone

Neil got up and instantly walked outside followed by avni grabbing her bag

As they reached outside they saw people watching the girl been troubled and none did anything except someone making a phone call to call the police

Neil shook his head not liking  how people r just watching a scene and not helping the girl

Avni saw neil walk towards those drunk men and tapped on one of the drunk guy shoulder

Drunk man: what he said rudely

Neil: she clearly isnt comfortable with what u r trying to do so y dont u leave her he said

Drunk man: r u her brother? Her bf? He said holding the girl wrist

Neil: I'm none of that but it doesnt mean I will allow u to misbehave with anyone ...leave her he said seriously

The drunk man and the other members laughed

Drunk man: then get lost man...and mind your own fu**ing business he said pushing neil...the other drunk men pushed Neil too telling him to go back

As they turned to haress the girl again..neil thought enough is enough and walked up to them... he tapped on the guy shoulder again

Drunk man: what he said annoyingly

Neil: I wanted to say something

Drunk man:what ? U want to say sorry.

Neil chuckled and then punched him

Neil: a police  man always minds his own business and this is his business he said

For a sec the other drunk men went still seen their leader been punched but soon they moved to neil to attack him but neil beat them black and blue along with the guy who got punched too

Avni watched as neil continued breaking those men...after few mins all those men lay on  the floor while neil looked around to see the girl standing in the corner all scared

Neil: the show is over u all can go he said to the people who were still standing while few secs later they started to move away

Neil:u ok he asked the girl who was actually scared to answer anything

avni saw neil talking to the girl she was about to go to him when her eyes widened

Avni: NEIL WATCH OUT she said

Neil turned around and before he could realise one of the guy hurt neil arm with broken glass missing his aim which was to attack neil on the chest l....neil arm started to bleed but he didnt bother about that and gave the man a final punch

Avni ran to Neil and at that time police also arrived

Avni: neil u r hurt

Dd had gotten out of the car and as he reached near he saw avneil and then men on the floor  when he saw blood dripping from neil arm

Dd:sir jee u r injured he said

Neil: arien this is nothing chill I'm fine ...nothing has happened... dd take these men they were harassing this girl he said

Dd nodded as he was told while avni looked at Neil angrily

As the police picked up the guys from the floor a lady constable also took the girl who thanked neil with a nod

Neil smiled and turned to look at avni who was looking very angry

Neil: avni what happened he said in which resulted a glare direct at him

Precrap avni: because I love u she said annoyingly

Neil was surprised and then a smile came on to his face while avni realised  what she said as she didnt expect to say this at all.

Few I know I took ages to update this but yes finally after a long time it felt good to write this chap
