Soon the Khanna family were about to leave..Neil gave avni a phone signal while she shook her head...he smiled winking at her while taking neela blessing.

Avni tried to control her laughter and looked away

As soon as she reached to her room she closed the door and fell flat on her bed

She recalled how Neil placed his finger on her lips and the way he caressed it and then kissed her.. she slowly touched her lips as if able to still feel his touch and then covered her  face smiling shyly

Avni:I always imagined my first kiss would be done in a different way at the best location, all dressed, music playing in the background... my prince coming up to me and taking away my first kiss in a blissful way.. however I had nothing of all those things here except one..and that was how u made me feel in heaven by taking away my first kiss.. just a mere touch of yours made something happen inside me and it was way much better than what I imagined.

Avni had came out of the washroom when she heard her phone beep and saw it was Neil's message.. she opened it which read

Neil:hey what r u doing

Avni:what normal human beings do... SLEEP She replied back

She was waiting for him to message when she suddenly heard her phone ringing and saw Neil calling

Avni:u r crazy she said while she heard Neil chuckle

Neil:and how am I crazy?

Avn:because I said I was going to sleep but u end up calling me

Neil:lies .. I know u wasnt planning to sleep in fact u was waiting for my messages.

Avni:oh please dont fly too much ok

Neil : oh is that y u answered my call in two rings

Avni:haan so I had no choice as in what if someone heard my phone ringing 

Neil:u will never admit it na

Avni: admit what? ...and u r different haan before I knew about your feelings u was all nice.. not teasing much and all but now she said shaking her head

Neil:acha how am I now he said adjusting himself on the bed properly

Avni:now ?.. u r literally a teaser.. it felt like the real Neil was hidden she said laughing

Neil :, well that's how I am.. my loved ones know the real me and now u r in that list

Avni felt her cheeks heat up when Neil said that 

Avni: so?she said trying to change the topic

Neil:kya so ?

Avni:, dont u have to go work tomorrow

Neil:dont know I can be called anytime for duty.

Avni:true 

Neil: wasien since I know my exact feelings for u I'll make it official from my side ...avni looked down shyly and then at the ceiling

Avni:about what she said trying to control her smile as if Neil is in front of her

Neil:about us? As in I'm no longer single

Avni:acha? Well what if I dont feel that much for u she said teasingly

Neil :avni.. u do feel something for sure.. if u dint u wouldn't have agreed to come on a date and most importantly the moment that we shared at your place.. the kiss he whispered

Avni looked down not able to control her smile as if he can see her

Neil:, if only I was able to see u smiling shyly

Avni:what!  No no what made u think I was smiling shyly

Neil:your silence

Avni:Neil goodnight she said cutting the call and smiled tapping the phone against her forehead for a moment

While Neil looked at her name on his screen and smiled 

The next few days Neil was actually busy solving cases so he hardly got time with his family or even spoks to avni properly . However they made it a point to text each other at night 

One day avni and nanno had gone out...both were busy talking and looking at things 

Avni received a text from Neil which was was "r u free"

Avni replied back " out with nanno for some shopping at xyz road "

As she looked up she saw nanno wasnt near her  and looked around when she spotted  nanno arguing with someone a litte far

Where as nanno was busy with avni but then her eyes had  suddenly fallen  on a guy who was trying to drag a girl to the car and she could tell the girl was been forced... nanno Been nanno decided to give the guy few words and free the girl while avni was busy texting

Nanno:oye dont u feel ashamed.. this girl doesn't want to come with u but u r forcing her

Guy:look old women this is our personal matter  go away

Nanno:personal matter my foot this girl is clearly been forced and its shown on her face. . chalo leave her

Avni:nanno what happened she said running to where nanno was

Nanno: guddo look at this guy he is forc....suddenly she couldn't continue as the guy took out a knife from his pocket

Guy:oye enough.. I'm telling u to leave us alone but here u r just telling everyone

Avni and nanno eyes widened seen the knife in his hand

Avni:look just let the girl go what will u get by taking her forcefully

Guy:that's none of your business ok he said ..avni was slowly going to to take the phone out of her purse when the guy pointed the knife towards her 

Avni:loo..loookk ..what r u doing..put..put the knife down

Guy:this old women did a big mistake by interfering now she will pay for it as I will take u along with me too..come this side otherwise it wont take me long to stab this old women he said moving behind nanno in one go

Avni:nanno... no no please dont harm her please.. people  had gathered around while some were trying to call the police but the guy warned if anyone calls the police then nanno will lose her life

Girl:these guy kidnap girls just to get their trafficing, prositution work done and then  throw us in different places she said disgustingly

Avni:oh God please save us she thought

Guy:come on u both go and sit in that car.. avni and nanno looked at each other and she turned walking away with the girl as nanno looked on helplessly  while the guy made sure to stay near nanno aiming the knife towards her

Suddenly they heard a sound and the guy screamed in pain and held his hand. Avni and the girl turned around to see the guy wincing in pain...avni saw some constable nearing nanno and moving her away while few constable held the guy

But a relief came over her seen the person walking towards her.   She noticed the gun in his hand and knew he must have shot that goon on the hand

Avni: Neil was all she whispered

Neil : dd take nanno and get her statement

Nanno:beta ...avni and the girl...

Neil:dont worry I'm with them he said and walked to avni and the girl

Girl:sir I can give proof against them

Neil:ok then dd get the car ready we will go to the police station 

Neil held avni hand while she looked at him do that  while walking towards the police jeep  and made her sit at the back with nanno and the other girl.

Nanno;guddo

Avni:nanno u r not hurt na she said looking at nanno

Nanno:I'm ok moi bachi .. avni hugged  her while neil smiled watching that from the rear view mirror

Once they reached to the police station Neil told dd to take nanno and the girl  statement while he would take avni statement and took her to his cabin he made avni tell what exactly happened and she told her bit while Neil noted it down.. after 5 mins he saw avni get up and walk towards the window

Neil :u ok he asked seen her not say anything now as he stood near her

Avni recalled how Neil saved them by coming on time ..

She turned to see him near her

Avni moved and hugged Neil

Neil:avni?

Avni: what u did today.. I dont know how to thank u 

Neil:then dont he said caressing her hair

Avni:u saved nanno Neil.. I was scared for a moment seen that knife close to nanno made me frightened ... I dont know what I feel for u is love but i know there is something there..which is beautiful... anyone would be lucky to be your life partner Neil.

Neil: then become my life partner he said breaking the hug and cupped her face.

Avni:what she said blankly.

Neil:kya what I didnt speak in Chinese.

Avni:Neilll. She said looking down smiling shyly

Neil:so is that an yes or no ...avni looked at Neil and decided to tease him a little

Avni:, yes and no for what she asked  teasingly

Neil:avniii

Avni:, I know my name is avni she said taking few steps back having a teasing look

Neil:u exactly know what I'm saying yet u r not giving me an answer to that he said taking a step towards her

Avni:haan toh.

Neil: just answer haan ya na

Avni:, patha nahi (dont know) she said about to turn to leave but Neil pushed her against he wall

Neil:I wont let u go until u give me my answer he whispered.. his breath fanning her face.

Avni: we r at.the police station Mr khanna she said teasingly yet with a shy smile

Neil :but in my cabin so nobody will come..now answer my question.

Avni: y so eager to know

Neil:,because I want to see if your answer matches mine he said

Dd:sir jee he said walking in

Neil closed his eyes annoyingly while avni moved him away quickly

Dd:oh teri... sorry sir jee wrong timing u continue your romance I mean questioning I'll come back later he said quickly turning around seen the look Neil gave him and poor guy nearly hurt his nose against the wall while leaving

As dd left avni cracked up while Neil looked at her

Avni:but in my cabin nobody will come now answer my question she said copying Neil and then burst out laughing again

Neil rested his back against the wall with arms crossed  and watched avni laugh and copy his words

Neil :done?

Avni looked at him

Avni:I guess so ... and she burst out laughing again

Neil pulled her close to him and in a sec avni stopped laughing finding herself in his arms

Neil:, what happened... laugh na he said teasingly

Avni looked at Neil with her lips parted slightly

Avni:no...I'm...I'm done she said slowly trying to move his hands from her waist but found him pulling her more closer

Neil :now answer my question and I'll let u go

Avni:Neil

Neil:I know my name is Neil answer what I asked u

Avni: yes she whispered.. she looked at his lips and saw how it formed  a wide smile while she looked down

Neil:, so then I should tell mom to talk to your family and make it official too

Nanno:y mom...u have nanno standing here I'll tell everyone .. avneil looked towards the door and moved away from each other seen how nanno looked at them teasingly

Avni:nanno woh I.. we..actually

Nanno:bas bas no need to give me explanation when this constable of yours came out I understood seen how he was not able to form a sentence 

Neil scratched  the back of his hair looking down smiling while avni quickly left from there

Nanno:, chako finally u both agreed she said tapping Neil's cheeks and then left
