When they got home Neel wanted to lighten avni up. He knew she was a little too stressed out about this whole pregnancy thing even though they had discussed it and they were both clear about wanting to wait. They were just lounging around in their room and Neel was thinking about how to get her to cheer up and loosen up and suddenly it occurred to him. He rummaged through her side of the closet and found what he was looking for. And turned around to avni and said- ok avni, wear this we're going out tonight! Avni just stared at him and said-how did you know I had this?

Neel just smiled at her and said- wifey it's my job to know these things! He winked at her.

Avni- but where are we going?

Neel that's for me to know and you to find out. Now go change he said pushing her to the washroom.

Avni quickly got dressed and wore some light jewelry...the bracelet Neel had gifted her and some change in ear-rings. She found her favorite platform heels and was just putting them on when Neel walked in and he just stood at the door with eyes wide open. Avni was standing in front of him in a figure hugging black dress which reached just below her knees.

Avni- neel, do I look ok? She asked him in trepidation as she spun around for him?

Neel had not responded. He was just staring with a blank expression.

Avni- Neel she yelled louder which finally snapped him out of his trance.

Neel-huh? Avni- I asked if I look ok she said as she fidgeted a bit adjusting the Hem of her dress and neckline too with one hand each.

Neel- ok? He moved closer and pulled her towards him with a hand on her back...wifey you look too stunning. He caressed her face tucking behind her hair...I think we need to change plans...lets just stay home.

Avni- pushed him away with a chuckle and said no way mister...this is all on you. You made me get ready and dress up so now we have to go! Chop chop

Neel just smiled back at her and quickly got ready in a jeans and black jacket with his boots and he wore the Rolex watch that avni had gifted him. That watch was his fav accessory. He would never leave home without it!

Neel- ok all set, chalein?

Avni- looked up from her phone and now she was the one speechless.

Neel snapped his fingers in front of her and smiled

Avni- wound her arms around his neck and said you look daper mr.husband.

Neel- thank you! Ab chalein?

Avni- one second. She opened her camera and handed it out to him to take a selfie. And she draped an arm across him and struck a pose as Neel happily clicked the photo.

Avni- okay now we can go.

And they were off!

About an hour later given the evening traffic they finally reached their destination.

Avni was surprised to see that they were at a nightclub.

She just looked at him in surprise-neel hum ye...neel cut her off

Neil- avni I know that you weren't just giving me an example! He chuckled at her

And avni just blushed.

Neel- took avnis hands in hers and they went in.

Once they walked in he led her first to the pool tables – carrom bahut dinon see mahi khela but we can play pool instead! Whatsay?

Avni- just picked up her cue stick and said- u r on husband!

As they played Neil also ordered some cocktails for them.

When avni took her first sip she crinkled her face at the slightly bitter taste but soon as she got accustomed to it she enjoyed the drink and asked Neil to order another.

And Neil was more than happy to oblige. He wanted her to just let loose today.

They enjoyed another cocktail and some snacks as they sat at the bar counter now. suddenly avni spotted a gang of people doing shots and she looked at Neil and said- please can I try it?

Neil- avni you don't drink. I think it'll be too much for you to handle.

Avni- what do you mean? You think I have no self control or what

Neel avni it's not that...you aren't a regular drinker. I don't think you're tolerance will be too good. Why don't I get you another cocktail?

Avni- nahi. I want to try it! Please she pouted at him.

Neil ok fine. But just 1 each.

And then he explained to her how to down a shot.

Avni excitedly took the shot glass in her hand and gave him a grin- ok my first shot she said gleefully and they clinked their glasses- cheers and both downed their shots.

Avni immediately coughed. The liquid burned her throat. But a few seconds later she looked up at Neil and smiled.

And in the background the track changed to a nice peppy number.

Avni turned her head round and was already feeling the effects of the alcohol kick in. She shook her head lightly and looked at the dance floor. She gazed at everyone there for a good minute before she turned to Neel and signaled to him with her eyes and a raise of her eyebrow and Neel immediately smiled and escorted her to the dance floor

Initially they were both awkward but soon they found their groove. For avni it was the alcohol that kicked in allowing her to just shed her inhibition and move to the beat and for Neel watching avni was a high! Avni spotted a tray of vodka shots being passed around and she quickly stole 2 from them and handed 1 to neel.

Neel avni tum Kya Kar rahi ho?

Avni- tumhe nahi chahiye?

Neel – avni tumne already kaafi peeli hai. Enough he said trying to stop her

Avni had anticipated this and before he could grab it away she quickly downed both shots.

Neel avni!

Avni- I offered you. She simply shrugged and continued to dance

Neel just shook his head at her and mentally told himself- good job Neel Khanna, now you have to handle a talli wifey...this is going to be a long night! He gave himself a pep talk .

Avni quickly grabbed him and wound her arms around him dancing without a care in the world.

Neil watched with adoration another shade of his wifey- wild and crazy. And the sheen in her eyes- as she enjoyed herself and some of it just from being buzzed.

Suddenly she let go of him and went to the DJ. She beckoned him closer and whispered something to him and came back.

Neel- what was that? he asked her leaning and speaking into her ear

Avni- wait for it she yelled over the music

And soon enough there was a bhojpuri remix playing and avni was now unstoppable.

And for company a bunch of guys dancing nearby also recognized the song and now all of them were dancing like crazy baraatis at a wedding! And watching them have fun, the others joined in.

Neel had been keeping a close eye in avni. After a while he saw her stumble as she danced and he knew that she needed to sit down. So he grasped her and tried to convince her to come out but she was in no mood to listen. Finally seeing no choice he picked her up and took her outside

Avni- neeeeel she slurred, lemme go back. Kitna Maza as raha hai.

Neel- avni Chalo, Maza ka quota khatam. Humein Ghar chalna chahiye

Avni- nahi nahi...no ghar. ...please she pouted adorably

Neel- avni he said a little sternly

Avni- moved closer to him, leaning on him for support- please tillu. Please not yet....mujhe na...mujhe na...poori raat tumhaare saath spend karni hai. Please she pouted.

Neil- haan to main bhi tumhaare saath Ghar chal raha Hoon na he said trying to guide her towards the car.

Avni- tillu please mujhe abhi Ghar nahi Jana hai. Pretty please..

Neil -sighed- ok batao kahan jaana hai

Avni- umm...mujhe...mujhe ice cream khaane Jana hai

Neil- ok fine. But uske liye bhi car main baithna padega na

Avni- correct, correct. U r so smart tillu...so smart! She said clapping him on the back and stumbled towards the car

Neel just shook his head at her antics and went to hold her.

He supported her and made her sit down and fastened her seat belt.

And then he drove...(by now Neil is no longer drunk. Just clarifying because I don't want to endorse drunk driving in my FF!)

As they were driving, avni had turned on the radio and was happily slur-singing along.

And when the male lyrics started she insisted that neel should sing too...

So Neil decided to humor her and now both of them were singing along.

Suddenly avni stopped the radio and said ice cream?

Neil knew that if he didn't get her ice cream she would bring the roof down so he convinced her

Avni, next shop that's open I'll go buy you ice cream ok?

Avni- promise?

Neil ya baba

Avni no say it . Say promise

Neel promise

Avni tillu promise?

Neil- ye tillu promise Kya hai?

Avni- the biggest promise there is !

Even when she was drunk she managed to say something profound that would touch his heart Neil thought with a smile.

He couldn't stop himself from pecking her cheek

Avni giggled when she felt his kiss

Neil- Kya hua?

Avni- voh...tumhaari dadhi chubti hai she laughed

Neil- accha he said? Toh shave kardun?

Avni- NO she cried in alarm. No way! She cupped his face and caressed his beard and stubble. It feels reaaaaallly nice she continued to slur. I love your dadhi.

She moved her cheeks and brushed it against his cheek and giggled again.

Neil was highly amused at her antics.

Avni continued babbling...I love you. You are the best thing that ever happened to me and she placed a sloppy wet kiss on his cheeks.

Ek secret boloon she whispered. She pulled him down and said- I have never told you this...But I think...I think that you are very hot! She giggled into his ear

Neel just blushed at her remark. Talli avni was proving to be fun!

Neil just smiled and said- I love you too! And guess what...I think you're very hot too!

But avni had no reaction to that for the next thing she said was- ice cream?

Neel laughed and said Chalo let's get you ur ice cream.

He stopped at a pharmacy and thankfully they had ice cream available too!

He happily watched her eat her ice cream with childlike Glee

And finally when they got home he somehow sneaked her upstairs without waking up everybody else. He knew avni would be pissed in the morning when she woke up with a hangover but it was SO worth it!

And he laid down next to his wifey breathing in her scent which was today very high -spirited!
