Some memories never fade

Lasting hope lingers
In between hope and fate

And in between them
People carved their ways
To stop and stand still.

To admire the fleeting glee.

In eyes they hold
Deep memories engraved.

Stepping stones of fate
Lay ahead.

In hearts people carry
Not grudges but
Evanescent withering songs
Of Longing of by gone eras.

Heartfelt words,
Or sweet nothings,
Still resonate in
Quiet phantom heads.
