Ok, so as I said I'm thinking of doing a contest.
I would like to do it in connection with the book club, if we can get a number of members involved.

This would bring traffic to the club and our stories.

The time limit will depend on how many entrees we get. I'm thinking if I publish the contest today. We will give people two weeks to apply. The contestants will then have a people's choice vote.

While they are busy doing the people's choice voting, the judges will be going through the 1st preliminary round.

1st preliminary round- 1st chapter of each book is read by at least one judge. This will get us a top number. (Top 25 for instance)

Then we we will continue judging until we have winners.

I was thinking since we have two more books of the week before our list repeats that in two weeks we could take a two week break from the club in order to judge the contest.

Bonus Category: Best book club book
