For those of you that may have missed it I(We) are running a contest. It's in it's own book on my page.

Books can be nominated but the author must fill out the form to be entered so make sure you let your friends that you tag for the contest know about that.

There will be a category for our books where members of the club(and anyone else that wants to) can vote for their favorite book from book club.

If you want to throw your book in the general contest you can, you just won't be able to do the judging of that category.

When we get to the end of our book of the week list(3/17/17) the book club will be taking a 2 week "break". During the break we will be doing the preliminary judging for the judges choice. During the preliminaries one of us will be reading the first chapter of every entry. Since we read 6 chapters a week for the club, each of you should be able to commit to judging 12 entries in the preliminaries of the contest.

After the preliminaries, I would like to get back on book club, so if you want to be a bonafide judge let me know, and I need to know how many chapters/ books you think you can do a week, if any, on top of book club responsibilities, and also the genres you would prefer to judge.
I will come up with more specific time tables once I see how many entries we are working with.

You can choose to judge anonymously or publicly.  I have made hounding the judges against the rules but I can't guarantee it won't happen, so take that into consideration. I'd like to see as many of you participating as possible. I think this will be something really fun for us to do. It will get our book club some publicity and our profiles and stories too.(for those of you sitting there saying "what's in it for me")
