So I very highly doubt I will be doing these regularly again, however, I do not have crew today and I figured I might as well make this while I was in the digital neighborhood as I am very proud of this piece. I was in Computer Science with MS MR on autoplay when I found a good Elle song  and I knew I was finally ready to go at her Veritas again. Similar to superhero names/costumes in Deja Vu, the Veritas are very important to plot/development in Amalgama and should honestly be something planned ahead of time, but given the cast size and my penchant for revising them endlessly, they're something that never gets done, leading me to start books with incomplete information. When I do get something down that *works*, though, it's a wonderful feeling.

That said, here's my new Elle design.  Giving her a scythe instead of knives was perhaps not the most fitting change and falls more under the "cool factor" school of visual design. The rest, like her unnatural height and the double arms, generally has to do with her insect motif and her warped personal perceptions of beauty. The roses are spoiler-y, but they do come from a scene so bad I do not think it will end up in the book.

I was planning on potentially posting these on Amalgama chapters when I return in June, though I'd prefer to do it with the colored ones... though they're so old at this point I'm not sure it would be useful. The alternative would be to do everything again, though, and that sounds painful.

On a musical topic, the song is Salty Sweet (the chapter title means "Salty and Sweet" in French) by Ms Mr which is a great band with strong sound and kick-ass vocals. Elle is definitely a MS MR kind of character but I mainly have their songs slotted under Daisy (Ash Tree Lane). Elle's pretty easy to make song lists for in general because she's a very popular, particular archetype that I have very few characters for. I would be really happy to provide other songs I think fit her character well if anyone's interested!
